hi guys a lot of my old gumshoe posts that i made 2 yrs ago still get reblogs/likes! it means a lot to me and so does gumshoe, so here’s this drawing. Ive been obsessed w gumshoe for well over 2 years now, I own 2 plushes, several charms and stickers. He’s a very inspirational and positive character that manages to have backbone (despite.. how ace attorney fans treat him) as well as incredibly sharp when he wants to be. Gumshoe has kept me positive and creative for a long time and I wish i still posted here, I have just as many thoughts as before but the arguments I got into really drove me a way. Maybe I’ll post here again because I see a lot of connections w Gumshoe and religious imagery! For now have this doodle

A "gumshoe" is another name for a wellington boot.

That means "Richard Wellington" is a pretentious synonym for "Dick Gumshoe", the guy who testifies before him.

Anyway. Gumshoe knows Mr Edgeworth is a vampire. Obviously. He also knows Mr Edgeworth looks seriously anemic all the time and half starved (on top of the exhaustion from going directly against his sleep schedule) so he gets a blood box for him to eat. Edgeworth scrunches his nose and says he doesn't eat that. Gumshoe smacks his head and realizes of Course a fancy guy like Mr Edgeworth doesn't drink blood juice. He gets it straight from the source!!!

Which, during one investigation where Mr Edgeworth is Clearly barely holding it together (there is so much blood, poor guy. Mr Fruit desired better) he pulls him aside and offers him a snack. Pulls down his collar and closes his eyes. Feels Mr Edgeworth touch his coat.

Snaps his eyes open to Mr Edgeworth DEVOURING the apple Mrs Fruit had given him earlier. He's so hungry he doesn't even spit out the seeds. Is left with nothing but the little stem in hand, face covered in apple juice.

Deposits it in Gumshoes pocket and wipes his mouth. "Never speak of this. Or else."

The rest of the office feels bad for Gumshoe. Always feeding Mr Edgeworth. Poor guy, he probably needs a cookie. At least he's big so it doesn't affect him too much. Gumshoe just loves that he's constantly gifted free food. Really helps him make it to the next paycheck.
