Steve Harrington was a clingy boyfriend.
He was so clingy (or what he called ‘super in love’) that he and Y/N had sleepovers almost every day. Y/N’s parents had known Steve as long as Y/N had, since the two were in diapers. So, sleepovers at Steve’s didn’t phase them.
Steve preferred having sleepovers at his house rather than hers because they could be alone, just the two of them, pretending like they lived in their own house, with no one to bother them.
Because of this clinginess, it wasn’t very often that Y/N hung out with the girls. El, Max, and Robin begged her for weeks to just ask Steve if she could go, basically telling her that she didn’t have to, she could just go.
Of course this was true, but Steve and her had an understanding. She knew Steve would be sad if she just up and left, so she waited until he got home — Steve’s house — to ask him.
“Stevie, baby?”
Steve looked up from the book he was pretending to read. “What’s up, sweet girl?” He smiled widely, pulling her onto his lap. Y/N trailed her fingers down his chest, a soft smile playing across her features.
“Do y’think you could drop me off at Hopper’s? The girls want to have a sleepover, but you know none of us drive.”
Steve lets out a whine, kissing the underside of her jaw. “Do you have to?” This makes Y/N giggle. She hated to admit it, especially to the girls, but she loved when Steve got like this.
She just loved the feeling of being wanted and loved, especially by Steve.
“Please, Stevie?”
Y/N pouts, jutting out her bottom lip, knowing Steve wouldn’t be able to resist her then. “I’ll make it up to you…” She pressed a kiss to his ear, whispering making Steve grip her waist tighter.
“Alright, fine, go get ready.”
He pats her butt and she squeals, running upstairs to the bedroom and packing a bag.
Twenty minutes later, they arrive at Hopper's cabin, the girls running out to greet her. “You finally let her out of the house, Harrington?” Robin smirks and Y/N pushes her shoulder.
The three go inside after saying goodbye to Steve.
The four spent the next three hours taking tween magazine quizzes, doing facemasks, sharing secrets, and laughing.
“So, tell us. Is he good?”
Y/N looks up from the cheesy magazine she’s reading in confusion. “I’m sorry?” Robin rolls her eyes, not getting how Y/N didn’t understand. Max continues, “Steve! Is he good in bed?”
Y/N chokes on the water she was drinking.
“I’m not talking about it. You’re both too young, and even if you weren’t, that’s still none of your business. Mine and Steve’s sex life have nothing to do with any of you, only Steve and I.”
The two youngest girls giggle loudly, Robin covering her ears. “But, I’ll say this. As far as anyone is concerned, he’s at the top of my list.”
A knock on the door startled them. “Oh, it’s probably the pizza!” El smiled widely, and Max gets up, leaving the room to go and answer the door. The room becomes silent as they wait for the delectable food they had been dreaming of all day.
“Y/N wins.” Max says, swinging the door open as she walks in, a smiling Steve Harrington behind her. “Baby!” His smile got surprisingly wider as his eyes landed on his girlfriend who looked back at him in confusion.
“What are you doing here?”
Y/N giggled as Steve buried his head into her neck, scattering kisses across the smooth skin. “Missed you, love.” She rolls her eyes.
“Well, ladies. If Stevie wants to join our little party, I think we should let him.”
Robin shares a smirk that the other three reciprocate. Steve peeks his head up. “What does that mean?” El holds up a face mask and nail polish as she giggles.
“Oh no. No chance in hell, you three. Baby, c’mon. You won’t let them do that to me, will you?”
Y/N looked up at her boyfriend, smiling sheepishly. “Sorry, m’love. Rules are rules.” She pulled Steve to the floor, beginning to apply the face mask across his face, smoothing it around his eyes and his nose.
“You look…. pretty, Harrington.”
Max giggles, hiding behind Eleven as Steve glares at her. “You really do, baby.” Y/N smiles, patting his chest with her newly manicured hand.
“So, Max, El, how are your relationships going?”
Y/N smiles softly, leaning against Steve. The girls all go back into their, what Steve called ‘gossip mode’. Steve trailed his fingers up and down her arm, a soothing feeling coursing through Y/N as she sat there, listening to what the girls were telling her.
“Wait, hold on a minute.”
The girls looked at Steve. “What did you mean when you said ‘Y/N wins’, Mayfield?” Y/N’s eyes widened and they all began to giggle.
“What’s so funny? I don’t understand!”
Y/N looked up at Steve and shrugged. “Oh, just tell him, Y/N. We all bet how long it would be until you showed up here, Mr. Clingy.”
“I bet two hours.” Max shrugged.
“I bet four.” El looked at the couple, smiling.
“I bet half an hour.” Robin smirked.
Steve looked down at the girl in his arms. “And you, pretty girl?” Y/N smiled sheepishly. “I bet three and a half. Sorry, baby.” Well, good thing Y/N knew her boyfriend so well that she was able to time it perfectly and win the bet.
“To think you had more faith in me!”
Steve hides his head into her neck once more. “It’s not my fault, baby. I’m sorry.” The girls, minus Robin who rolled her eyes, smiled.
“Yeah, Harrington. It’s not your girlfriends fault that you’re Mr. Clingy.”
Y/N kisses his lips softly, tracing the details of his face with her fingers. “My clingy boy.” Steve looked lovingly at her. “Oh, how I love you so, sweetheart.”
“Ugh, gross.” Robin groans, but shares a smile with Max and El as they watch one of, if not, the cutest couple in Hawkins share an intimate moment together.
Maybe it was a good thing that Steve was so clingy after all.

The smell of coffee awakened Spencer’s senses as he stepped into the coffee shop on a snowy Saturday morning. Finally, week after week of nonstop chasing down serial killers, the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit got a day off.
“Hi, Spencer. She’ll be with you in a second.”
Spencer sat down at a table in a corner of the coffee shop. He looked outside the window, watching as people dressed in multiple layers walked by, flecks of snow sticking to their clothing, hair, and anything else the white particles could attach themselves to. Spencer rubbed his hands together quickly, trying to create some friction and warmth on the cold December morning.
“Alright, here’s your cup of sugar with a little coffee.”
His brown eyes looked up to meet the girl’s figure. “Hey.” Y/N smiled at him, placing napkins next to the scolding cup of coffee. “Hey, you. Having a nice day off?” She knew just as well as Spencer did that these off days were once in a blue moon. He nodded, cursing under his breath as the coffee burnt his tongue.
“It’s been alright. I cleaned up around my apartment, and read some books.”
Y/N smiled at the use of the plural. Only Spencer Reid would read multiple books on his day off and enjoy it. She watched as Spencer took another drink of his coffee, this time the warm liquid going down better than the last. “Are we still on for dinner tonight?”
Ever since they began to see each other, they decided they would have dinner every Saturday night, so long as Spencer was in town. Of course, working a job as unpredictable as the FBI, there were bound to be nights where Saturday dinners turned into Wednesday dinners or Monday breakfasts, but that’s what made their relationship special, the unpredictability of it all.
The two found it exciting.
They weren’t completely official yet, so these dinner dates were super important to them, as a way to improve their relationship before making it official. With a job as dangerous and unpredictable as Spencer’s, he was scared of taking that final step toward making it official.
Especially after seeing how many members of his team had lost someone important to them.
He couldn’t risk losing her over them jumping the gun, so, they decided to take it slow until they both felt the time was right. “Yeah, of course. I’ll pick you up at 7:30?” Y/N nodded, writing down something on her notepad. “Perfect. I’ve got to get back to work, but I’ll see you tonight, Spencer.”
Later that night, Spencer stood in his apartment, getting ready for the night he had coming. He looked in the mirror, tightening his tie and making sure his hair looked decent. A buzzing sound alerted him to his phone. Spencer pressed the button on the side of the device, the screen lighting up.
Penelope Garcia: Boy Wonder! Are you going to join us tonight? We’re on our way to get Em, so we can pick you up!
Spencer groaned, his mind registering the fact that the team was planning on going out on their one night off and going to their favorite bar. He knew he had to say no, and he knew that he couldn’t lie to the Penelope Garcia cause she’d see right through him. Spencer had told the team about Y/N in casual conversation a few times, but never talked about her the way he knew he’d have to right now.
Spencer Reid: Sorry, Garcia. Can’t make it. Have a date tonight. Maybe next time.
The tall man stared at his phone for a while before sending the message and grabbing his jacket before heading out of the apartment. Spencer walked down the snowy streets of DC, the particles of snow sticking to his dusty brown hair.
About ten minutes north of Spencer, Y/N sat in front of her vanity in the apartment she and her sister shared, curling her hair and humming along to whatever pop song was playing through her iPod. The doorbell rang but Y/N didn’t move, as she knew her sister was going out with some friends from her work.
She heard various voices enter the apartment as she applied her mascara. The voices that were once loud were now hushed whispers which confused Y/N, but she shrugged it off nonetheless. Y/N cursed her sister in her head, wondering why she and her friends hadn’t left the apartment yet, knowing Spencer would get there any moment.
“I just know something is going on! There has to be! Why would he be hiding something this important to him from us? I mean, I tried finding a social media for her, but nothing! And, of course, he doesn’t have one so that doesn’t make it any easier.”
Y/N stood to her feet, giving herself another look over before putting her shoes on. She had decided to wear a baby blue sweater and a pair of black jeans, along with a pair of black and white combat boots. Spencer had told her to dress casually but comfortably as they were going to go to their usual spot and get Mexican food.
The doorbell rang once more and Y/N ran as quick as she could to the door before her sister, but she was too late. The door swung open and Y/N’s sister looked at Spencer with just as much shock as he looked at her.
“Emily?” “Reid?!”
Emily’s head whipped back to look at her sister. “Oh my god… How did I not connect the two?!” Y/N smiled sheepishly. “Well, I do have a pretty common name, so…” The girl shrugged at her sister, waving Spencer into the apartment.
Y/N stood beside Spencer. “Hold on a minute… Why didn’t you tell us that there was this connection?”
The girl stood between Spencer and her sister, rolling her eyes. “You both wanted me safe, kept under wraps. Both of you wanted me to be a secret from the same people!”
Spencer chuckled softly. Only he would get along with a girl well, happy that there was no work connection, and then it end up being one of his coworker’s family members.
“Are you ready to go? I need tacos, now.” Y/N took a hold of Spencer’s arm, dragging him towards the door. “Alright, we’ll be back later. Have fun, and don’t drink too much, because I’m not babysitting you.” She looks pointedly toward Emily who just rolls her eyes.
“Wait, so I don’t get it…”
Spencer spoke up after a while of them walking in silence. “Your last name isn’t Prentiss.” Y/N laughed, nodding her head. “Yeah, Em and I’s parents are my birth parents, but they gave me up for adoption when I was about five, I think?” Spencer listened intently to what she was saying. “So, I took their last name instead of Prentiss, and I just haven’t felt like changing it. Em’s always going to be my sister, but I just don’t feel like a Prentiss.”
Spencer nodded.
“That doesn’t change anything, right?” Y/N stopped, making Spencer halt his movement too. “Huh?” Y/N looked up, blinking away tears. “Me being Emily’s sister. That doesn’t change any of this, does it?” Spencer’s brown eyes widened as he shook his head.
“No, of course not!”
Y/N stared at him for a while before beginning to speak again. “You know how we were talking about how we would tell each other when we got that feeling?” Spencer nodded, rubbing his thumb against the back of her hand. “I’ve got the feeling, Spencer.”
“I just… I really like you, Spencer, and I don’t think I can go another minute pretending I don’t care or that I’m fine with us just being unlabeled when all I keep thinking about is how I want this every day. I want you every day, Spencer.”
Spencer smiled, kissing Y/N’s forehead softly as he brought her into an embrace.
“Finally you said something. I was worried you didn’t feel the same!”
The two shared a laugh and continued their walk in the streets of DC. The dim lamposts light their way through the city. People stared as they walked by, laughing loudly at inside jokes that no one else understood, but they didn’t care.
They were happy and that’s all that mattered.

request: Ooh can I request a Eddie x cheerleader!reader who are friends and hang out a lot despite what people think. They become a little more than friends but keep that part a secret. His friends (the older ones not the kids) notice he's hanging out with the reader and asks if they're dating but then he lies and says something like "never, she's not my type". Then the reader hears him and gets really upset and confronts him? Sorry I'm just a sucker for something angsty!

To say Eddie loved her would be quite an understatement.
Eddie didn’t just love Y/N. He adored her, worshipped her. But, of course, he couldn’t let her know that. At least, not for the first two years of friendship. Especially when he was an outcast and she was a cheerleader. The head cheerleader at that. She had to keep up their social standards, but she didn’t care.
Which, in turn, did cause a lot of issues.
Chrissy Cunningham was the only one out of the cheer and basketball teams that actually respected and felt happy for the two. Chrissy didn’t know Eddie, but she didn’t need to. She saw how much the friendship between the two meant to Y/N and that was all that mattered.
Then, she became the first to know when Y/N and Eddie’s friendship evolved from playful shoves and friendly gestures to kisses and secret sleepovers.
It was a Friday night, which usually meant dinner and a movie night at Eddie’s trailer. Y/N stood at her locker, putting away textbooks from classes she had already gone to, and grabbing the textbooks she needed for classes later in the day.
“Hey, so, Harrington and I were thinking,” Robin approached her, making the girl press her back against the locker, holding her textbooks to her chest. “We wanted to do something fun, maybe go bowling or something.” Y/N nodded, looking at Robin curiously. “You wanna go?”
She stood still for a moment, debating on what to say.
On the one hand, she’d love to spend time with her friends. It wasn’t very often it was just them without the younger kids. As much as she loved them, it was nice to be able to talk about whatever without Dustin groaning in disgust or El exclaiming her confusion as she didn’t understand a lot of social normalities.
But, on the other hand, it was date night. Just like she didn’t get time with her friends, she got even less time with Eddie, their relationship being secret and all. So, the couple made a deal that one day a week, no matter what, they’d spend time together.
“Sorry, Rob. Chrissy and the rest of the cheer team wanted to hang out tonight. Go over some routines for the pep rally. Maybe this weekend?”
Robin nodded, understanding that extracurriculars were tough, and required a lot of attention. “Yeah, no problem. Ready to go to lunch?” Y/N nodded, closing her locker and following Robin to the cafeteria. Since Robin and Steve became closer to Y/N and Eddie due to the couple’s discovery of the Upside Down, they’ve been sitting with the rest of the Hellfire Club on occasion.
As they walked closer, Steve’s voice got louder.
“Alright, so c’mon, Munson. You’re seriously going to sit here and say you’ve never thought about being with Y/N, man? I mean, there’s nothing going on there?” This caught the two girls' attention. Y/N looked towards Eddie, noticing his whole body tense up and then relax in the same few seconds.
“Harrington, how many times are you going to ask?”
The snarky voice of her boyfriend almost made her laugh. Almost. It would’ve had his next few words not stung so badly. Eddie had spoken words that she was afraid of and worried daily about, yet he spoke them. Eddie knew her fears and still said something that had he known she was listening, would’ve been well aware that it would’ve broken her heart.
“No, man. Never gonna happen; she’s not my type.”
Y/N looked toward Chrissy who had heard every word and stood up quickly, rushing to her side. “Y/N, come on.” Robin looked confusedly toward the two, and Steve looked up from the table, calling out. “Rob, Y/N, you gonna sit down or what?”
Eddie froze, his body becoming tense again at the mention of his girlfriend.
“Y/N-” “Not now, Munson.”
Chrissy cut him off sharply, wrapping an arm around Y/N and leading her out of the cafeteria. Eddie stood quickly to his feet and chased after the two. “Cunningham, let me talk to her.” He choked out, out of breath as he caught up to them.
“You’re joking, right?”
Chrissy shook her head in disbelief and joined Y/N where she was hiding in the locker room. Echoing sobs escaped the room before Chrissy could close the door fully. Eddie’s heart broke, just like every time Y/N cried, but this time…
This time, it was because of him. He made her cry.
A week passed since the events. Y/N did everything she could to avoid Eddie in every possible way. She closed her bedroom curtains so Eddie was given the signal that she didn’t want to see him, she sat with Chrissy at lunch in the cheer coach's office, and she got Nancy rides to and from school.
Y/N avoided Eddie as if he was the plague.
But, she decided she needed to do the right thing and put an end to it. Officially. So, she asked Nancy to drive her over to Eddie’s, Steve and Robin in the backseat, one large box in the trunk of Nancy’s car.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Nancy looked at the teary-eyed girl in front of her as the four stood outside Eddie’s trailer, one of the lamposts barely lighting their surroundings. Y/N ended up telling the three of them about everything, especially after she couldn’t hide her heartbreak anymore.
“No, but I have to.”
Y/N sighed, brushing her hair out of her face, taking the box into her arms, and walking closer and closer to his trailer until the familiar smell of weed and Eddie’s familiar musk filled her senses.
Her knuckles rapped against the screen door and she backed away against the railing of the porch as she waited.
“Baby, I’ve be-” Eddie grunted as the cardboard box once in Y/N’s arms shoved against his chest. “Stop, Eddie. Just stop. I don’t want to hear it, alright? You’ve done enough.” Ouch, Eddie thought.
“Just come inside and we can talk.”
Y/N scoffed, looking back at her friends who were now back in Nancy’s car. “Talk? About what, Eddie? About how I’m not your type, how after almost six months, I’m suddenly not the girl you told me you loved?”
Eddie’s features softened as he looked at her, seeing how badly he had hurt her.
But, on top of the pain, he could tell there was something she was trying to mask, or trying to fight. “I, uh, guess I should give you this back too..” Y/N reached around the back of her neck, pulling something over her head. Eddie’s eyes widened as he realized what it was.
Y/N placed the item into his hand before walking down the steps and stepping onto the gravel. “Goodbye, Eddie.” She gave a final nod before turning her back towards him and jogging towards Nancy’s car.
Eddie looked down at his guitar pick necklace in his hands. The item screaming at him in the face that the damage had been done, he’d lost her for good, and it would be the biggest mistake of his life.

“Chrissy and I are dating.” were words Y/N L/N never thought would leave Eddie’s mouth. Eddie Munson was the complete opposite of Chrissy. Chrissy was sweet, chirpy, and a cheerleader. Eddie spent his free time smoking, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and playing as a guitarist in a metal band.
Complete opposites.
Y/N and Eddie had been best friends since the day they met when they both started their school years at Hawkins Elementary School over ten years ago. Over the past ten years, they had countless late nights playing guitar, planning D&D campaigns, writing songs, watching movies, and much more. Y/N also spent the last seven years in love with Eddie, the mere crush starting in their early middle school years.
But, she knew she couldn’t compare.
As she spent every day pining over Eddie, watching as his eyes sparkled when acting as Dungeon Master, or when his face beamed with enjoyment as Corroded Coffin brought in some of the biggest crowds the Hideout had ever seen, Eddie spent his time watching Chrissy during pep rallies (which, if you knew him, he hated pep rallies), or at lunch surrounded by the football team and her fellow cheerleaders.
“You and Chrissy? I love ya, Munson, but I really don’t see it.”
Y/N shrugged, looking up from the notebook she was absentmindedly doodling in. Eddie’s crestfallen face caught Y/N’s attention. “I just mean that you two are totally different. You think it’s really going to work out?” Eddie nodded, simultaneously shrugging. “I mean, if you really want to, go for it. No one can stop you, Eds.”
But, maybe she could, Y/N thought.
Y/N had to act, and fast. So, the next day at school, she sprinted to Jason Carver’s locker. “Carver, I need to speak with you.” She planted her feet on the ground, making it known to him and the other basketball players that she wasn’t moving until he followed her. Jason raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you have somewhere to be? Trailing behind Munson and the other freaks?” Y/N glared at him.
“That’s what I need to talk to you about.”
She began speaking in a hushed voice so only he could hear her. “Eddie and Chrissy are going out. I know you love Chrissy, I can see it, and I…” She huffed. “I love Eddie, a lot. I have for years now, and when he told me last night, I freaked.”
Jason froze in his spot, the hand that was on his locker door turning a mix of red and white because of the grip he had.
“I figured you and I could do something, to stop it, or, or something. I don’t know. But, we need to be fast about it.” Y/N clutched her notebooks to her chest. She noticed Jason looking at her out of the corner of his eye. “If this is something you want to do, meet me after school by the bleachers.”
Y/N then turned and walked away, not looking back at him. She hoped this would work. It had to.
So, there she sat after school. Her feet tapped against the metal bleachers as she waited for Jason to hopefully arrive. “So, what’s your idea?” Y/N jumped in her seat, turning and facing Jason. “I don’t know. That’s why I asked you here. We need to figure something out that’ll stop the two.”
“How about fake dating?”
Had it been any other time, the idea of fake dating Jason Carver, the biggest jerk in Hawkins, would’ve made Y/N laugh. But, because of the unique situation and the severity of it, she didn’t think twice. “Okay, deal. But, knowing Eddie, he’ll see right through it. We’ll have to make it believable.”
Y/N and Jason sat on the bleachers for an hour talking about what they had to do in order to make it feel real to everyone on the outside, and discussed when the time would be to break it off. “Okay, so after Chrissy eventually leaves the fre- Munson, that’s when we’ll call it quits.” Y/N nodded. “Yes, but not too soon after, or they’ll suspect something.” Jason nodded. Right, it had to be believable.
The two dispersed, going their separate ways for the last time until they had to be close for who knows how long. Y/N just hoped this would work. She loved Eddie, and she wanted him. Y/N knew in her heart that she and Eddie belonged together.
Morning came quickly and Y/N got ready for school, making sure to call Eddie and tell him that she didn’t need a ride. She hoped that would cause a reaction out of him, considering that ever since Eddie could drive, he drove the two to and from school every day.
The honk of a car horn made Y/N run down the stairs and outside.
Jason sat in his car, looking at Y/N as she ran towards his car. “Ready to go?” She nodded, giving him a small smile. “Let’s just get this over with…” Y/N got into the car, buckling her seatbelt as she watched Jason pull away from her house and head towards Hawkins High.
Seeing Eddie’s van parked and Eddie running over to the passenger side, opening the door, and helping Chrissy Cunningham out of the beat-up vehicle was not something Y/N ever think she’d witness, so when she did, tears filled her eyes.
She noticed Jason’s grip on the steering wheel get tight and then loosen just as quickly.
Y/N felt Jason’s eyes on her. His hand found a place on her shoulder. “Hey, the sooner we get in there and start this thing, the sooner it’ll be over and I’ll be with Chrissy and you’ll be Munson’s.” Is Jason Carver comforting her? That’s also something she never thought she’d see, but, it was Hawkins, so anything is possible.
Jason got out of his car and ran to the passenger side, opening the door for Y/N. She stepped out and noticed people beginning to stare. “Just follow my lead,” Jason whispered against the shell of her ear. His hand found the small of her back as he began to walk, Y/N quickly following his footsteps until they were perfectly in unison with one another. “This okay?” Jason looked down at her, watching as she nodded.
“Yeah, this is fine.”
Jason opened the main door to the school and let Y/N step in first. Once they got through the doors, his hand found her back again as they walked to her locker. “If I remember, this is yours.” Jason stood next to Y/N as she put the combination in and opened her locker. Y/N collected her books just as the bell rang, and the two intertwined hands again, walking down the hall once more.
“What class?” Y/N snapped out of whatever trance she was in and looked up. “Huh? Oh! Uh, English.” The boy nodded, leading her to the classroom. “I’ll see you after class?” He spoke in a hushed whisper, leaning against the wall as students passed by, giving the two confused glances.
“Yeah, see you after.”
On an impulse once more, Y/N leaned up, kissing Jason’s cheek, and then quickly slid away from him and through the classroom door. Jason stood there shell-shocked. Hours later, it was the time that Y/N had been dreading all day.
Lunch.
Now, she’d have to face the entire Hellfire Club, including Eddie. “So, are you going to sit with them today?” Jason looked down at the girl who stood across from him but still in a close proximity. “I have to, or they’ll definitely know something is up. Besides, I can tell them then and get Eds’ reaction.” Jason nodded, leading the fake couple to the cafeteria. “Do you want to come and sit with us?” Y/N looked up at him hopefully. “Just to sell it more.” She added, which made Jason huff in annoyance but ultimately agree.
Y/N led the two to the Hellfire table.
“Hi, boys.” She spoke with a smile. “Hi, Y/N!” Dustin spoke, choking on his milk when he looked up and saw who was standing next to her. “Uh, you all know Jason. Jason, these are the guys.” Eddie raised an eyebrow at the girl. “Sweetheart, what’s Carver doing here?”
Showtime.
Jason wrapped an arm around the girl’s waist, making Y/N fake a satisfied giggle. “Well, Jason asked me out. I’ve kind of liked him for a while, so I said yes!” Y/N smiled widely, catching Eddie’s off-guard expression. “You and Jason?!” Mike exclaimed, groaning as Dustin elbowed him.
“They’re joking. Right, guys?! We’re happy for you, really! I mean, come on, guys. Y/N’s happy so let's be happy for her.”
Y/N couldn’t help but smile at this. “Thanks, Dustin.” She
If it was going to be like this every day, he’d bet that Chrissy and Eddie would be broken up by the end of the week, if they were lucky.
But, it had seemed their luck ran out.
Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. It had been almost four months since the unlikely pair began their fake-dating plan. But, so it seemed, Y/N and Jason had grown closer because of this. Instead of doing things like kissing, holding hands, and being attached at the hip when all eyes were on them, they’d do the same in the comfort of their homes, when it was just the two of them.
“What are we?”
Y/N reluctantly pulled away from Jason’s lips. Her arms stayed wrapped around his neck as their eyes met. “What do you mean?” Jason raised an eyebrow. Y/N cleared her throat. “I just mean we’ve been doing, uh, this for a while, and there’s not a label on it. I mean, Jason, we had started this to get Eddie and Chrissy. Obviously, things have changed, feelings have evolved, and we should talk about that.”
Jason nodded, sitting up straighter and looking at Y/N as she also adjusted her position. How a fake relationship turned into this, they’d never know. “I want you to be my girlfriend. I’m over Chrissy, honestly. She’s in the past.” A small smile lit up Y/N’s soft features. Jason took Y/N’s hand in his own. “So, what do you say?”
Y/N didn’t say anything, and instead, leaned forward, placing a kiss on his lips.
On the other side of Hawkins, Eddie sat in his trailer, strumming on his guitar. A loud knock alerted him to a visitor, which he assumed to be Chrissy. He walked quickly to the door, swinging it open revealing the blonde. “Milady.” Chrissy didn’t smile or laugh like she normally would, alerting Eddie to the fact that something was possibly wrong.
“Chris? What’s wrong?”
Chrissy’s eyes finally met Eddie’s. Her once sparkling eyes were now filled with tears. “I can’t do this anymore, Eddie. I-I love Jason, and I’m sorry it took me, uh, this long to realize that. I just can’t be with you when I love Jason, plus... I see how you look at Y/N.” She laughed through her tears.
“You should go for it, Eddie. She’s a great girl.”
Eddie nodded. “I was going to talk to you about that too, actually. But, Chrissy, we’re screwed. If I know Y/N the way I do, she genuinely likes Carver..” Chrissy shook her head, refusing to believe the words coming from Eddie. There was no way quiet, shy Y/N loved loud, arrogant Jason Carver.
Absolutely not.
“Okay, so what do we do? We need a plan…”
The next week, Chrissy stood by Jason’s locker while Eddie stood up against the wall across from where Y/N was currently sitting in her math class. The bell rang, making Eddie take a deep breath. “Now or never, Munson. Just get the girl.” He mumbled to himself as the door swung open, swarms of students filling the halls.
“Eddie?”
The name felt foreign on Y/N’s tongue. The two stared at each other for a while. “I need help.” Eddie finally broke the silence. “Oh! Are you okay? You and Chrissy?” Eddie closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
“There’s this girl.”
Y/N nodded slowly, not understanding the confusing, secretive wording. “And... I think she and I are more compatible than Chrissy and I. I mean, this girl, she’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met.” Y/N stood there, her arms crossed at her chest as she held her textbooks, listening as Eddie talked about this dream girl.
“So, why are you with Chrissy, and not this supposed dream girl?”
Eddie ran a hand through his curls. “That’s the thing. I ended it with Chrissy, but uh, this girl… She has a boyfriend, and she’s happy, so I’d hate breaking them up… You know?” Y/N nodded, truly hearing her best friend for the first time in months.
Y/N looked down at her watch. “Shoot, I’ve got to go, Eds. I’m sorry. Jason’s going to get worried if I don’t go meet him right now..” She gave him one last smile and a farewell nod before turning and walking down the hallway.
“I love you!”
The girl froze so fast that her shoes almost tripped her. Her body tensed up as she repeated the words in her head. I love you, I love you, I love you. “W-what?” Y/N’s voice felt hoarse as she spoke, afraid to speak louder than the current volume.
“I love you, Y/N. You’re the dream girl. My dream girl. I’m sorry it took me longer to admit it. I, Eddie Munson, am the biggest fool on the planet.”
A soft giggle made Eddie’s head perk up and look at the girl who had turned to face him. “Took you long enough, Munson.” Y/N’s hand cupped his cheek as she got up onto her tiptoes and kissed him softly, but passionately enough to let Eddie know she loved him just as much. “Can’t believe it took me fake dating and actually dating Jason for you to come to your senses…”
“You what?!”

requested?: yes! requested by @night-sky-full-of-stars
request: hello lovely! I’m in love with your writing and have the cutest spencer reid idea! could I please request a spencer reid x reader where spencer is being teased/bullied (by the team or someone else - up to you) so the reader (his friend) steps in and pretends that they’re dating? and he goes along with it but is super adorable and clumsy and almost messes it up heaps of times and reader has to keep saving it? and then reader messes up and he saves it in return or something like that? thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

Two o'clock in the morning; a time he'd never forget.
The FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit returned to Quantico, Virginia at twelve fourty-five, packed away paperwork and other items they needed to take home before taking separate cars home.
Except Spencer Reid.
If you knew him, you knew he never really drove, and instead took D.C's public transportation to get to and from work every day. So, on late nights like this, he'd have one of his coworkers take him home, as the public transportation had stopped running hours prior.
"Ready to go, kid?"
Derek Morgan walked near Spencer's desk, their Technical Analyst, Penelope Garcia in tow. "Yeah, let's go. Thanks again, by the way." He gave the two a tight lipped grin as they walked towards the elevator.
"It's really no problem, Boy Wonder. Ever since my car's been in the shop, Derek's been having to take me home, and your place is on the way, so it makes perfect sense!"
How Penelope could be so chirpy at almost one in the morning, he'd never know. It all made sense as to why JJ would quickly change her coffee to a decaf one once the quirky woman turned her back.
The next half an hour drive to Spencer's was spent with both Penelope and Derek badgering him about his love life, or as Derek called it, his "lack of the ladies".
"I-I get plenty of ladies, thank you, Morgan. But, besides, stop talking about women as if they're some object, yes?"
Derek put his hands up in protest. "All I'm saying is that you need to get out there, you know? I mean, think about it, kid. Don't you think it'd be nice having someone to come home to after the work's all done?"
Spencer sat in silence for a moment before saying words he could possibly regret.
"I do have someone, Morgan, and she's waiting for me, at my apartment right now! My girlfriend, uh, Y/N."
Thank god for seatbelts because if Spencer wasn't wearing one at this very moment that Morgan decided to slam on his breaks, who knows what would've happened.
"You have a girlfriend?!"
The next two minutes, Spencer's ears filled with the high-pitched squeals of Penelope alongside Derek's badgering about who she was and wanting to know all of the "dirty details".
Spencer couldn't have been happier at that moment, seeing his apartment building come into view.
Walking up to Spencer's apartment after spending the last two hours literally chasing down a serial killer seemed like a workout. By the time the three made it up to his floor, they were all taking deep breaths as if they'd just run a marathon.
A door opening made them look up from their gaze's at the floor.
"Babe? Finally you're home! I've been waiting up for you." A girl in a tank top and pajama shorts walked out into the hall, right out of Spencer's apartment making his two friends look at each other in what could only be described as a mix of shock and excitement.
Spencer stood up straight and walked towards the girl, enveloping her into a hug in which she quickly reciprocated. "Hi, sweetheart." He spoke, breathing in and taking in the smell of her conditioner.
"Oh! You must be... Penelope and Derek? Spencer has told me a lot about you."
Y/N looked at the two shellshocked people across from her and smiled. "It's good to finally meet friends of Spencer's." Penelope smiled at the couple. "So, how long have you two been together again?"
"Six mon-" "Eight mont-"
Y/N and Spencer froze. "I mean eight."
"Did you know that studies have even found that people who are sleep deprived are at risk of forming false memories? So that must've gotten you confused about the timing, babe."
Y/N laughed softly, grasping Spencer's hand in her own, ignoring the look of shock on his face. "You know, you talk in your sleep sometimes, I'm bound to learn these facts eventually."
Penelope gasped before looking at the couple. "Oh! We're, uh, doing something for Spencer's birthday this weekend. Would you like to come? I'm sure the rest of the team would love to meet you."
"His birthday?"
Y/N's eyes widened. "Yes, darling, my birthday. I know you're trying to pretend you don't know when it is for the surprises I'm sure you've got up your sleeve."
Her eyes studied his face for a while, definitely not missing the smirk that was plastered across his features. "Of course, babe." She spoke firmly, giving him a smile.
"Well, we better get going." Morgan spoke and Garcia nodded, the two saying their goodbyes. Spencer led the two into his apartment shutting the door, dropping his hand from the small of Y/N's back.
"Uh, thank you for that."
Y/N nodded, smiling. "Of course, Brainiac. It's not every day my neighbor wants me to take his spare key, go into his apartment, and come out pretending to be his girlfriend."
Spencer rolled his eyes at the girl's sarcasm. He smiled softly as he watched the girl walk comfortably around his apartment, as if she lived there, tracing her fingers across the multitude of books lined perfectly in the bookshelves.
"I know you've explained you can read, like, a superhuman amount of words per minute, but I don't think I'll ever get used to you having all of these books, and knowing you've actually read them all."
She looked back at him and smiled. "Actually, I've read all of them a few times, give or take." Y/N let out a breath. "Of course you have." Spencer took a seat on his couch and Y/N followed suit, sitting next to him.
"Your friends seem nice."
Y/N broke the calm silence that aired throughout the small apartment. "They can be when they're not pestering me about my love life, or, well, my lack of one." Spencer put his hands on his lap and looked at Y/N.
"Well, I should get going.."
Y/N broke the silence once again twenty minutes later and stood up, grabbing her coat off of the back of the couch. "Thanks for the tea and the enlightening conversation, Brainiac."
Spencer nodded, walking the girl to the door, holding it open for her.
"Oh, a-anytime! Whenever you need to know anything, just come on by." Y/N nodded, tapping her brain, signaling to him that she'll remember that for next time.
She began to walk out of the door before she froze' "You know, for the stunt you pulled today, you owe me. Say, burgers and milkshakes at the diner around the corner, eight o'clock? I hear they're the best in town."
Y/N proceeds to walk out into the hallway, closing the door behind her, leaving Spencer standing by the door, his face laced with shock.
"What just happened?"
His eyes looked at the clock. Two o'clock in the morning, on the dot.
The time he finally got the girl.

Steve and Y/N Harrington, well known in Hawkins as their parents were quite wealthy. Steve being semi-popular at Hawkins and Y/N being a cheerleader for the Tigers. Being a cheerleader had a lot of pressure, socially especially, at Hawkins. So, it didn’t help Y/N’s case that she was in a relationship with the town’s ‘freak’, Eddie Munson.
Despite their different social groups, the two were attached at the hip. She’d attend his Hellfire Club if she didn’t have practice, they’d hang out at his trailer after school and on weekends, and she’d go to the Hideout to watch his band, Corroded Coffin perform, wearing one of his band tees as support.
If you knew anything about their group of friends, you’d know that Steve Harrington was known as the ‘babysitter’ to some of the freshmen. So, when Eddie and Y/N came into the picture, they had to find a role for them, which leads us to the mastermind behind it all.
Dustin Henderson.
Dustin and Eddie were very close, and when Y/N joined their little group, they became a trio. Dustin often joking that the couple were his ‘parents’, which made totally since considering the way they acted in front of him and the rest of their friends.
If you didn’t know them or their age, you’d think they were married by the way they talked to each other.
“What was that, Mrs. Munson?” Eddie smirked, looking at the giggling girl in his laugh. “Don’t you worry your pretty head about it, Mr. Munson.” While some of their friends found it adorable (credits to Nancy and Robin), others found it…. sickening.
Every time they’d be this doting to one another, Steve, Mike, or Lucas would let out a groan. Y/N and Eddie didn’t care though. There were in love. It was the two of them and Dustin against the world.

If you didn’t know them or their age, you’d think they were married by the way they talked to each other. Eddie often referring to the girl as "The Mrs." or "Mrs. Munson." Some prime examples of this making Y/N laugh as she thought back.
“What was that, Mrs. Munson?” Eddie smirked, looking at the giggling girl in his laugh. “Don’t you worry your pretty head about it, Mr. Munson.”
or
"Sorry, boys. Hellfire needs to wrap up a bit early tonight. The Mrs. asked that I come home early for.... things, so I must not disappoint. After all, whatever Mrs. Munson says goes. No doubt about it."
Every time they’d be this doting to one another, Steve, Mike, or Lucas would let out a groan. Y/N and Eddie didn’t care though. There were in love. It was the two of them and Dustin against the world.
"Y/N, come on. We're gonna be late."
She rolled her eyes, ignoring Steve calling out to her. Trying to put her hair into a perfect ponytail was quite a difficult task, especially at 7:30 in the morning when all she thought about was either being back in bed and sleeping for eternity or being in her boyfriend's arms.
"Chill for one second, will you? I was trying to make sure I had everything I need for tonight. I think I'm staying at Eddie's."
The Harrington siblings departed their house, driving to pick Robin and Dustin up. "Hi, mom." Y/N rolled her eyes but smiled widely at the boy. "Hi, D. Did you pack your lunch?" He showed he did by lifting up a brown paper bag.
Y/N flipped down the shade in Steve's car, opening the flap to the little mirror as she applied her lipgloss and mascara. "Cherry?" Robin smirked, making Y/N laugh. She hummed in approval.
"Cherry? What's so funny about cherry?"
Robin let out a laugh. "Oh, it just so happens it's Eddie's favorite flavor, Stevie. At least on your sister, that is." Steve let out a noise of disgust. "Robin! I do not need to know that, my god."
They finally got to the school, all piling out of Steve's car. Robin and Steve dispersed elsewhere while Dustin and Y/N walked together to where the Hellfire Club sat. "There she is! I told you the Mrs. would be here soon, boys. Did I not?" Eddie smirked, wrapping his arms around the girl's waist as she rested her head in the crook of his neck.
Y/N took a deep breath, the combined scents of weed, Eddie's cologne, the trailer, and just his natural scent wafting through her nose, making a sense of calm rush through her body. "Missed you, Eds."
"I missed you, sweetheart."
Eddie cupped her face into his hands, his rings feeling cool to the touch against her already warm face. He kissed her softly, the girl quick to reciprocate. "Eds," She mumbled against his mouth after a minute, needing to pull away for a breath.
Oh my god, this is what heaven feels like.
He bit down on her lip making a gasp release from her throat. Y/N felt Eddie grin against her mouth as he pulled away. "Missed m'girl." She giggled softly. "Gonna come over to the trailer tonight after Hellfire?" His hands found their reserved spot on her waist.
Who was she to pass down a night of just the two of them?
"I'd love to. Mom and dad won't even notice I'm gone.." She lets out a laugh, looking toward the cheerleaders who were trying to signal her over. "I better go, Eds. I'll see you later." She kissed him once again, pulling away after a minute.
Y/N waved goodbye to the other boys, ruffling Mike's hair before walking away.
Y/N paused in her movements, turning around and calling out to Mike. "Mikey, make sure Dusty eats, please." Dustin's eyes widened. "Y/N!" She let out a pleased hum as she turned away again.
The time finally came for Hellfire.
Y/N usually didn't come to those until the very end, just to check up on Eddie, Dustin, and Mike. Her usual knock made the boys look up from their campaign. "I brought brownies!" She smiled, holding up a glass container.
Instead of her normal cheerleading outfit, her body was adorned with one of Eddie's t-shirts which looked slightly big on her smaller frame. "Oh, Dustin, did you eat lunch?" She looked to him.
He nodded, letting out a small, sarcastic "Yes, mom." She gave him a small smile, sitting on Eddie's lap as he wrapped his arm around her. "Woah! Wait a minute. What is that?" Mike pointed to Y/N's hand.
"Oh, this old thing?" She spoke teasingly. "Just a ring Eddie gave me. I mean, we're practically married to be married." She giggled. Mike looked confused. "You know, like, engaged to be married? But we kind of skipped over that part, hence the nicknames, at least for now."
Eddie looked between his girl and the group.
"Yeah, Wheeler. I mean, you all know this is the girl I plan on spending the rest of my life with. Her, my guitar, and I. The only two loves I need."
Let's not forget the day that Robin, Steve, and Nancy joined hanging out with Mike, Eddie, Dustin, and Y/N. The couple being their normal selves, doting on each other, and being parental towards Dustin. "I mean, you really need to start eating three meals a day!" Y/N exclaimed.
"What are you? His mom?"
Y/N looked up at her brother. "Don't be so shocked. I mean, after all, aren't you Uncle Steve?" She smirked, making everyone in the room laugh.
Dustin loved the group dynamic they had. He had thought he would hate being treated like a kid by two of his friends only a few years younger than him, but weirdly, all it did was made him feel more.
It made him feel loved, wanted and cared for. The only things he's ever wanted.
He just couldn't wait for the day that Y/N would actually become Mrs. Munson, knowing it would make two of his favorite people in the world the happiest.

Miami was hot and humid.
Spencer Reid made sure to tell everyone on the jet just how hot and humid Florida during the month of July was. Everyone rolled their eyes as he expressively talked everyone’s ears off, rambling on and on.
But, not her.
In fact, she craved the days they’d be alone in his apartment where they’d be alone, him able to tell her all sorts of facts that he knew off the top of his head without having to worry about Hotch telling him to stop firmly, or Prentiss putting him down easy, a way of trying to get him to quiet down and let them fly in peace.
This case was a hard one.
They had been in Miami for almost a week now, and boy, they weren’t even close to catching the unsub yet. “So, I don’t get it. Why is his MO changing all of the sudden?” One of Miami’s officers asked, looking around the room at the agents.
“It’s simple, really. He probably feels like he’s getting close to being caught, but I’d say in this case, he found a new, efficient way of killing.”
Despite the gruesome conversation, Y/N smiled softly, just like she did every other time her boyfriend said something so confidently.
Only her, Spencer, Rossi, and Hotch were at the police station as the rest of the team were either sent to the coroners office, one of the family’s homes, or the places where the bodies were found.
“I’ll be right back. Just going to the restroom.”
Y/N got up off of the chair, walking towards the door. “Well, sweetheart, while you’re at it, get us some coffees, will you? Let the men work this out.”
Y/N froze.
For anyone that knew Y/N, they knew that she felt quite… insecure. She was new to the team in the past two years, but has always been shy, not speaking up like the other women on the team had.
At her last jobs, she had experienced sexism just like this. Guys always tried making themselves more superior than her, a way of asserting their dominance.
It also brought her back to the academy days where cocky wannabe agents would look at her as if she’d break at any moment.
Y/N regained her movement and walked out of the room and towards the restroom.
Finishing her business, she walks out, eyes meeting a few of the other male officers. “Listen, sweetheart, Gary didn’t mean it.. well, sort of. You understand right?“ She raised an eyebrow in confusion.
“We’re just saying that.. you’re young, clearly, and very obviously a woman. You need the men in there to show you how it’s done, yeah?”
Y/N felt tears fill her eyes and she shoved past them, walking outside of the station.
“Darling?”
Spencer’s voice, filled with concern, alerted her. Footsteps became louder as they became closer. Spencer’s natural musk mixed with the scent of his cologne he put on every morning filled her senses.
“You know they’re wrong, right?”
Y/N shrugged.
Spencer grabbed her hand in his own, pulling her close to him. “They don’t know what they’re talking about. You’re one of the smartest women I know. One of the strongest, too.” He chuckled softly. “I mean, remember last month, in Washington? You basically solved the case on your own, my love. We wouldn’t have been able to catch him, had you not seen the clues he left behind at the crime scenes.”
She sniffles, rubbing her eyes with her fists. “I guess, but still. Maybe, I dunno, Maybe they were right.”
Spencer shakes his head, kissing the girl’s head. “You’re so smart, m’love, and I’m so proud of you, you know? You’re doing amazing. I mean, you’re such an asset to the team. An important one, at that.”
Y/N smiled at this.
Boy, was she lucky to have Spencer in her life to remind her what was really important, to show her that she was important.
Spencer took her hand, making sure she was okay before walking back into the station with her. The two resumed working, and before they knew it, the case was over.
On the flight back to Quantico, Y/N slept soundly, tucked into Spencer’s arms.
“She okay?” Emily asked, Spencer looking up and shrugging. “I think it just hurts her, you know? She works hard, and still gets belittled.” Emily nodded, understanding exactly how the girl felt.
Soon enough, the plane landed in Virginia and Spencer helped Y/N out of the jet. “C’mon.” He smiled at her, entangling their fingers.
“Are we going home?”
He shook his head. “Not yet, sweetheart. In just a bit. I know Garcia wants to see you.” Y/N nodded, stretching and then continuing to walk in sync with Spencer.
The two entered the round table room and Y/N’s eyes lit up. “Surprise!” Garcia quickly walked to Y/N, enveloping the girl into a hug. “What’s all this?”
“This, my sweetness, is for you. We don’t really show our appreciation for you enough, and Boy Genius made us realize that we should. I mean, most times, you’re the one that helps push us towards catching those awful people. We couldn’t do it without you, sugarplum.”
Y/N smiled, looking at everyone who said different things in unison, but all agreed with Penelope. “Thank you, Pen. Truly.” Penelope smiled once more.
“Now, you tell me if any other idiot says something about you, and they’ll have to deal with me, yeah?”
The room filled with laughter as they all stood there, basking in the close knit family that the team had made, knowing that every member was needed in every way, and the team wasn’t the same if any one of them were gone.
Each member had their own specific set of assets that were essential to bringing down the horrible people they witnessed on a daily, and that’s what made them a team.
One perfectly, functional, hard-working team.

Interview day.
A day hated by the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, but especially Penelope Garcia. It was known by everyone that knew the girl that she despised change, so when it came to interviewing day which meant hiring someone new after Ashley Seaver had transferred departments, Garcia was pacing all around the room, watching people walk in and out of Unit Chief Aaron Hotchner’s office all day.
Another person anxious about the upcoming interviews was Y/N L/N.
The day had finally come when they flew through the academy and they could start applying for real-life roles in the FBI, actually working for them, rather than just train. Y/N decided that the Behavior Analysis Unit would be the perfect fit for them, but, like anyone, they were terrified of not being able to make it, especially since they were only 26.
Y/N stared at the silver elevator doors, standing two feet away from them. “You know, you actually have to get in the elevators to go somewhere.” Y/N’s face grew red as they turned around, facing a tall, light-skinned man and a blonde woman. “Where are you headed?” The light-skinned man asked, holding the doors open as the three stepped into the elevator. “Up to the BAU. I’m being interviewed for one of their profiler positions.”
“Oh! We work for the BAU. I’m Jennifer Jareau and this is Derek Morgan.”
Y/N shook their extended hands. “Y/N L/N. It’s nice to meet you.” Jennifer smiled at Y/N as the elevator doors opened, the three stepped out and walked towards the glass doors. “Welcome to the BAU, L/N. Good luck. Hotch’s door is just up those stairs and the first one on the left.” Y/N signaled a thank you to the two before walking up to the Unit Chief’s office.
They stood at the door for a moment and stared before lifting their fist and knocking gently.
“Come in.” A deep voice spoke from behind the door. Y/N opened the door slowly. “Mr. Hotchner? I’m Y/N L/N. I have an interview with you?” The dark-haired man looked up from his paperwork and nodded, standing to his feet. “Nice to meet you, Dr. L/N. I’ve heard a lot about you from Dave, uh, Agent Rossi.”
Y/N smiled at this. During their time at the academy, David Rossi had spent a few hours here and there observing the agent trainees, taking notes of who would be good candidates for future positions. Rossi had observed Y/N and hinted to them about the position at the BAU that would be opening up.
“So, I’ve read your files. Top of your class at the academy and graduated with a PhD in Psychology from Yale.” Hotch raised an eyebrow at Y/N to which they just sheepishly smiled. “That’s impressive.”
After twenty more minutes of discussion, Hotch had come to a decision. “Well, welcome to the team, Dr. L/N. I can take you now to meet the rest of the team if you’d like.” Y/N nodded, standing to their feet and following the man out of his office. They followed him down the walkway to another room in which a group of people sat.
“Can I have everyone’s attention?”
The group of five people looked up in unison. “Everyone, meet the newest member of our team, Dr. Y/N L/N. Please make them feel welcome. I’ve got to get back to my office.” With that, Hotch left the room, leaving Y/N standing there awkwardly, waiting for someone to speak up.
“Told you that you’d do fine.”
Y/N laughed softly at Derek’s teasing tone. He stood up, pointing to everyone and introducing them to Y/N. Derek Morgan, Jennifer Jareau, Emily Prentiss, David Rossi, Penelope Garcia, and Spencer Reid. Her new team.
Y/N had yet to meet this “Spencer” everyone talked about, but they mentioned he was around somewhere, so they’d cross paths eventually.
“It’s really nice to meet you all.” Y/N smiled, shaking hands with everyone. After a while, Y/N walked downstairs to get a cup of coffee. A tall man with sandy brown hair and a satchel strapped over his shoulder stood at the coffee machine. Y/N poured themself a cup and added creamer and sugar.
“Did you know that Americans drink 3 coffee cups a day on average, which equates to 400 million cups per day and 146 billion cups per year?”
Y/N looked up at the man who stood there with one hand awkwardly in his pocket, and the other holding his coffee cup. “Huh, I had no idea. But, it makes sense. Coffee’s addicting.” Y/N smiled, shrugging softly. They took a sip of the hot liquid, humming in response to the delicious taste.
“Are you new here?”
Y/N nodded. “I just got hired with the BAU. I’m Dr. Y/N L/N. You?” Spencer nodded, making a mental note of their title. Finally, another doctor like him. “I’m, uh, Dr. Spencer Reid.” Y/N’s eyes lit up. Finally, they met every single member of the team.
“Nice to meet you, Dr.”
“Ditto, Dr.”

One year.
It had been exactly a year since he asked her to be his girlfriend, plus another six months since the day the two had met. Thankfully, his eidetic memory would never let him down and those two days would be engraved in his genius mind forever.
He could remember everything about the day he met her. Where he was, what he was wearing, what he was doing, what she was wearing, the first words she spoke to him, all of it.
“Doctor Reid?”
Spencer had just finished speaking as a guest at a lecture at one of the nearby hotel conference rooms. He had felt defeated walking out, as it seemed no one really understood what he was talking about, and no one really seemed to be paying attention.
He remembers turning to her and his mouth going dry. Wow, that’s never happened before.
“Hello.” He eventually gets out, nodding his head to you. “I just wanted to say, your presentation was really interesting. All of those statistics, especially. You sure know your stuff.”
Spencer’s eyes shone a little brighter that day. Finally someone had learned something from his words.
“Oh, uh, wow. I’m really glad you took something away from it. To be honest, it didn’t really seem like anyone was paying attention.” He lets out an awkward laugh, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Y/N smiled, rolling her eyes as she spoke the next words. “Yeah, but, I guess they just don’t know good things when they see it. I was locked in since the moment you spoke. Truly capturing stuff.”
Was he dreaming? No way a pretty girl like this really understood a word he had just said.
That was a year and a half ago.
Flash forward six months, the two had gone on numerous dates. To meals, to the planetarium, the museum, the library, and even just to his apartment.
The two of them had planned a date for one night after he got back from a case. He knew exactly where he wanted to take her. Ever since the planetarium date, she had been wanting to be engulfed in all of the information that she could about the stars and the planets.
Astrology was definitely a favorite topic of Y/N’s. She loved everything to do with it. So, Spencer knew what he wanted to do for the next date.
“Spence, where are we going?”
Her giggles sounded like music to his ears as he held her hand, leading her to their date spot. “Just trust me, sweetheart. We’re almost there.” He looked back at her and she nodded, smiling and leaning forward to press a kiss against his soft skin.
“I figured we could lay here and watch the stars. What d’ya think?”
Y/N practically jumped into his arms at this. This was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her. “I love it, Spence. Truly.”
That night, the two spent hours laying on the blanket he had brought, pointing at all the stars. Her head laid on his chest as one of his hands were in her hair, playing with the soft strands.
The other hand lay to his side, her left arm draping over his midsection, their hands grasped together at his side.
The two laid there for hours as he told her endless facts about the night sky. She couldn’t have asked for a better date, or a better boyfriend.
Flash forward a year and a half, the two decided it would be time for her to meet his team. To say Y/N was nervous was truly the understatement of the century.
She had spent over an hour just looking for an outfit.
“Darling, jeans and a t-shirt are fine. A dress is fine. Whatever you want to wear is fine. They won’t care. They’ll love you, I’m sure of it.” Spencer looked at his girlfriend who stood in his closet.
The girl had spent so much time at his apartment that she had half of her clothes here already, so she didn’t have to go all the way home to get ready.
She took off his CalTech sweater, much to Spencer’s disappointment. “Baby, I can’t wear your sweater over there. Especially since I’m not particularly wearing pants. Not the ideal outfit of a girlfriend meeting her boyfriends coworkers.” They laughed.
Y/N finally had decided on an outfit, wearing a black long-sleeved dress with a white collar. She had paired it with a pair of her black Dr. Martens.
“Wow, you look.. absolutely gorgeous, sweetheart.”
To say Spencer was lucky, was another understatement of the century. When he looked at her, he couldn’t believe she had said yes all those months ago, finding him the least bit interesting.
He loved her, and lucky for him, she loved him just as much.
“Ready to go?” Spencer came up behind her, wrapping his long arms around her waist. She nodded, applying the last bit of lip gloss to her lips. “Ready.”
The two arrived at Rossi’s a short bit later.
Y/N held her hand in his tightly as they approached the large house. “It’s going to be fine, darling. Just take a deep breath, I’m right here.” She nodded, letting go of the hold on her dress collar that she had.
Spencer opened the door, and Y/N was instantly greeted with the smell of food.
She let Spencer lead her to what looked like a kitchen. “Well, well, well. Pretty Boy, who is this?” A man, she recalled to be Derek Morgan, smirked over at the two, causing her face to blush red.
“This is Y/N, my girlfriend.”
A woman wearing a brightly colored dress was quick to walk over. “Girlfriend?! Spencer, you did not mention this gorgeous human. I’m so mad at you!” She glared at him, making Y/N stifle a giggle.
Spencer looked to her as she giggled, smiling widely.
“Something funny, sweetheart?” She shook her head at her boyfriend. “Just the fact you’ve kept me hidden in your apartment so long.” Y/N joked. They all laughed, making her smile.
His hand rested on the small of her back, keeping the girl calm as she talked to his friends.
"Spencer has told me so much about all of you. I love hearing his stories when he comes home." Y/N looked up to him and smiled, knowing the both of them caught on to her saying 'home' instead of something else. But, when it came down to it, that's what they were to each other.
Home.

eddie w a gf who knits
Tumblr media
summary: in which teasing turned into trendy
requested?: yes! requested by @area-81-blog
request: I’ve been heavily thinking about Eddie having a partner who knits/crochets stuff for him and wants him to wear it to the hellfire club but all the members playfully make fun of him until the partner shows up with handmade items for every member!
pairing: eddie munson x reader

word count: <300
What had started off as teasing might’ve just been what the boys needed to solidify their ‘outcast’ type.
It all started when Eddie came into Hellfire Club, unloading all of the Dungeons & Dragons things from a clearly knitted black bag. “What’s that?” The rest of the boys began to tease Eddie, noting the look on his face.
“My girl made it for me, Wheeler. Had to show it off.”
The teasing had continued for months as Eddie would come in with more and more every week. Gloves, a beanie, and a vest to wear whenever she needed to wash his jean one when it began to smell like a mixture of sweat and pot; or, Eddie.
“Eddie, do you think you could ask her to make me a hat?”
Dustin had asked him one day, causing Eddie to burst out into a cheesy grin, nodding, and telling him he’d talk to Y/N after the meeting was over for the night. One by one, since Eddie came in the next day to school with a black and white cap with a purple ‘D’ crocheted onto the front, the boys would ask Eddie to have Y/N make them all sorts of things.
So, there they all sat together, wearing bits and bobs that Y/N had knit for each and every member of the group, each item has its own individual touch but is so uniquely known it was made by Y/N.
“Told you my girl was talented, boys.”

“You know, just staring at her, especially that intensely won’t do you any good.”
Spencer jumped his grip loosening on his coffee cup and the tips of his fingers turning back into their standard creme color. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He looks at Morgan, placing the cup of now lukewarm coffee onto his desk next to the pile of paperwork he had yet to finish.
Morgan mumbled a ‘sure you don’t’ under his breath before walking to his own desk.
“Ugh!”
Every team member, including others around the office, looked up as Y/N threw her hands up in the air. Emily looked over at her. “Y’alright there?” She raised a curious eyebrow at the girl who shook her head. “No, I was supposed to have these copies sent over to the director on Tuesday-”
“That’s in a few days, you’re fine, pretty girl.”
Y/N shook her head. “Tuesday, December 7th.” Spencer’s mouth gaped open at the girl. This came as a shock to everyone as the date today was February 4th. “I mean, they must not be that important, right? If the director hasn’t emailed you?” JJ shrugged, patting the girl on the back.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone screw something up that fast before.”
Y/N faked a glare over to Spencer’s direction but smiled nonetheless. Leave it to Reid to soften the blow.
“Thanks, Spence.” She giggled softly, writing on a sticky note, and placing it on top of the stack of papers.  Spencer smiled shyly, noticing the pastel-colored sticky notes all over the edge of her computer, her dainty handwriting scribbled onto each of them.
Sticky notes were something the girl used in her daily life, and if she didn’t use them, Y/N honestly had no idea where she’d be.
A few weeks went by, sticky notes being taken off of things, other pastel-colored square paper replacing those, and so on. A month later, Y/N walked in frantically to the bullpen. “I’m so sorry I’m late. I forgot to do a bunch of things at home that needed to be done, and my mind is just so frazzled right now.” She huffed, sitting down at her desk. Hotch just nodded, going back into his office.
Spencer stared at her quizzically. This was so unlike her. That’s when he noticed.
The small pastel squares from the top of her desk, as well as the edges of her computer, were no longer there. The way Y/N put the tip of her thumb against her lip, her teeth grazing the skin. After months of staring at the girl, Spencer concluded this was a nervous tick of hers, especially when she didn’t have her sticky notes, her mind surely frazzled and jumbled at this point.
Spencer knew what he had to do.
So, there he stood, in some store he didn’t recall the name of as he had Garcia search for said item online, immediately giving him directions to the store. He didn’t care where he was, as long as they had what he needed.
“Sir, do you need help?”
Spencer looked up, shaking his head at the female worker before speaking. “Actually, yes..” Twenty minutes later, he departed the store, a plastic bag in the passenger seat of his car. Thank god, he couldn’t wait to see the look on your face.
“Morning, Derek, Em, Spence.”
Y/N walked in quickly, giving them the daily wide smile that made the other three repeat it back to her. She walked to her desk, placing her coat over the chair and her cup of tea on the desk. “What the-” A pastel purple sticky note laid on the desk.
‘I noticed you ran out, so I took the turn in getting you some. The rest is in your desk drawer. These should last you quite a while :)’
Y/N opened her desk drawer and gasped. In the drawer was a container of what looked to be twenty to thirty pads of pastel-colored sticky notes. “Oh my..” She looked up, catching Spencer’s eyes who were already on her. Y/N closed the drawer and walked to his desk.
“You didn’t have to do that, you know..”
Spencer shrugged. “I noticed you were out, and I’ve seen how anxiety-inducing it is for you. I know if it was me, any one of you would do it.” He softly smiled at her as she looked into his eyes. “You, you’ve noticed? I didn’t realize someone caught onto that..”
“Of course I noticed, I notice everything about you.”
Y/N looked down at her feet for a moment and then looked back at him. “Well, maybe you can tell me over dinner, say Friday night, what things you’ve noticed about me, and I’ll tell you the things I noticed about you.” She smiled playing with the sleeves on her shirt.”
“It’s a date.”

professor reid | s.r
Tumblr media
summary: in which attending psychology became the best decision she ever made.
requested?: yes! By anon!
request: “Hey, could I maybe request a spencer reid x reader with a reader who is going into physics but is forced to take a psychology class bc of some stupid college requirement. The reader hates social sciences so by default doesn’t like the professor (spencer ofc) until she starts to get to know him through his lectures. Maybe she slowly starts to fall for him, and after she finishes the class at the end of the year she asks him on a date to a museum or smth science related. If you aren’t comfy with this request or aren’t inspired please feel free to trash it. By loves, have a nice day/night!”

Tumblr media
When the dean of Marbury University told Y/N that she had to take a mandatory psychology class if she had wanted to graduate, she just nodded. If the dean knew her like her friends did, you’d know she despised psychology with everything she had. Well, in reality, every social science, really. Philosophy, Economics, Business, you name it, she hated it.
That was until him.
She remembers the day she met him and so did he, thanks to that eidetic memory of his. Y/N had been told by the dean in the early fall morning that she had read her transcript, noticing the missing credit, saying that she had needed to complete the class, or else she was in danger of not graduating in the spring.
Y/N couldn’t let one silly little class deter her from all the hard work she had accomplished over the 4 years in university. So, later that day, she had walked into her Psychology lecture, head held high, until she saw him. Then, her head ducked down, eyes wandering between the floor and the view she had discovered prior to staring at the carpeted floor.
There he was, in all of his glory.
He had worn a white button up shirt, a navy blue satin looking vest over that, and over the vest, a black blazer. His sandy hair curled naturally just as beautiful as he was. Y/N had found her seat in the front of the class, eyes locked on him the entire time.
“Hello, I’ll be your professor, Dr. Reid. Before we begin, I’d like to learn your names, as well as tell you a bit about myself.” The class one by one began to say their names, and Y/N took a deep breath. Thinking back, there was nothing to be nervous about. Why should saying her own name be this terrifying.
“Miss?”
Y/N snapped out of her thoughts, meeting his light hazel eyes. “Y/N. Y/N L/N.” Since that day, she had found out many things about her professor. She studied him as well. His mannerisms, the way he’d talk with his hands, then awkwardly shove them into his pockets when a joke he thought was funny didn’t land with the class. But, they did with her. Sure, she didn’t know what most of it meant, but just seeing the smile appear on his face, the twinkle in his eyes when she let out a small giggle, that’s what did it for her.
Y/N learned that he was a profiler at the FBI’s most talented division, the BAU. She learned that he had an IQ of 187, he could read 20,000 words per minute, and that he had an eidetic memory, meaning he couldn’t forget anything he saw or heard, even if he wanted to.
In that moment, she wished she had an eidetic memory. Just to remember every smile she got from him throughout each lesson. She’d have it sewn, or even tattooed on the back of her eyelids if it means she could experience Spencer Reid in all his glory, looking at her, smiling at her.
Months went by, and Y/N could help but fall for her professor more and more as she experienced him, saw him, got to know him. She was royally screwed, she had thought, at least until graduation.
Thirty days.
Thirty days until graduation, and she couldn’t have been more excited. Thirty days and she wouldn’t feel any more guilty than she already did about her feelings towards her professor. Just thirty days and she didn’t have to say, “Good morning, Dr. Reid.” or “Bye, Dr. Reid, have a good day” as she came and went from his lectures.
The last week of school had rolled around, no one more excited than her for graduation. Y/N walked into the lecture five minutes early today. “Good morning, Dr. Reid.” Her lips spoke naturally, not thinking about the words that fell from her lips. Her eyes caught on to a group of people behind his desk, who she recognized from his stories as his team from the BAU.
Spencer looked up from the conversation he was having with a light-skinned man. “Good morning, Miss. L/N. Could I see you in my office after class?” This sparked a fire in her heart. What could he possibly want? “Of course, professor.” She gave him a genuine, tight-lipped smile, noting in her head the glances his coworkers were giving her.
Spencer’s lecture had usually went on for an hour and fifteen minutes, not that Y/N was counting. So, at 11:15, when lecture ended, her legs carried her towards his office. Her knuckles knocking softly against the light wooden door. “Come in.” The voice she dreamed of often called out to her.
“You wanted to see me, professor?”
She looked to him and then down on his desk. Her final report lay on the desk. “Yes, I did. I was just grading the final term papers. I wanted to speak with you about yours. Have a seat, please.” Y/N sat across from him, looking up at him. “I just want to start off by saying your paper was brilliant. I mean, you nailed the topic effortlessly. I’m technically not supposed to speak with other students, but you’re the only one that got a score as high as you did.”
This made her smile, knowing he could see her intelligence and full potential.
“That means a lot, professor. Truly. I slaved away at that paper, wanting it to be perfect.” She let out a small laugh, making him smile. Spencer continued to talk about her paper with her for another ten minutes before dismissing her. Y/N stood to her feet and turned to him as she went to exit. “Goodbye, Dr. Reid. Have a good day.”
Just like clockwork.
Graduation day had finally came. She had done it. Y/N stood with her class, and when the dean announced it was time, she threw her cap up in the air with the rest of her class. I did it. She thought about this day coming for 4 years, and it was finally here.
Her parents had decided to wait for her in the car as she said there was one final thing she had to do. Y/N searched and searched and she found what she was looking for. “Dr. Reid.” She called out to him. Spencer looked up, taking notice of the girl. There he stood, once again with his coworkers.
“Miss L/N, hello. Congratulations.”
Y/N couldn’t help but break into a wide smile. “Oh! Thank you. That’s why I wanted to speak with you, actually. I just wanted to say thank you. If I’m honest, I’m not the biggest fan of social sciences, but you truly made the topic interesting. I’ve learned a lot from you this year.” Spencer smiled right back at her, making her smile even wider.
“Well, thank you, Miss L/N, that means a lot to me. I love teaching, so knowing someone actually took in what I taught them is really inspiring to me.”
Y/N took a deep breath before speaking again. “Thank you again, Dr. Reid, really.” Spencer looked to her. “Spencer.” She gave him a puzzled look. “You’re no longer my student, so please just call me Spencer.”
“Oh! Well, okay, Spencer.”
His name on her lips never sounded so pleasant. The way she said it just rolling off of her tongue effortlessly. “Um, actually, I wanted to talk to you about something. This Saturday, at the planetarium, there’s going to be a space and light show, along with a few presentations. I, um..” She looked down at her feet, remembering his coworkers were also there. “I was wondering if you, maybe, wanted to come with me?” If only she was looking up. She could see the shocked expression on Spencer’s face, and the smirks his FBI coworkers were giving him.
She could’ve seen the nudge one of them was giving him.
“That sounds very interesting. I’ll pick you up Saturday?” Y/N’s eyes snapped back up to him, not expecting the words that just left his perfect lips. She nods, smiling wide. “Sure, I’ll email you my address?” One of his coworkers, a woman with blonde hair laughs. “Oh, honey, he’s got a phone. You can give him your number.”
Y/N was handed a pen by one of his coworkers and she smiled. Spencer extended his arm out to her. She was gentle with him, rolling up the sleeve of his button-up. His skin felt soft under her touch and she bit her lip to hide her smile. Y/N took her time, gently writing her phone number onto his skin.
“See you this Saturday, Spencer. I’ve got to go meet my parents. They’re taking me to dinner.”
She waved to the group before breaking in a small jog towards where she remembered her parents were parked. Rossi looked towards Spencer. “So, that’s the girl you’ve been telling us about? Who would’ve known..”
Derek nudged Spencer now that Y/N was out of their line of view. “I can see why you like her. She was pretty.” Derek didn’t have to tell him that. Spencer had known the girl was pretty since the day she walked into his lecture. His thoughts never derailed from how pretty she was.
“She is. She really is.”

Everyone knew that prison had changed Spencer Reid.
It was blatantly obvious that the events that had unfolded in the past year from him being arrested in Mexico to his mom, Diana, being abducted, to her safe return made him on edge. It changed him.
Y/N had seen first hand what the aftermath had caused him.
After all, she laid next to the man at night. She would awake at night, comforting him from his nightmares, the horrid flashbacks of the things he went through terrorizing his brain until he finally fell asleep, his head on her chest in the early hours of the morning. She could see he wasn’t nearly as attentive at home, not reading books as much, and not even picking up a chess piece like he did every morning to make a move on the board.
She even noticed how he pulled away from her.
The only time they had ever physically interacted anymore being those late nights where all he did was cry until he passed out. He didn’t kiss her as much as he used to, he didn’t hold her hand, he didn’t cuddle up on the couch with her for their Saturday night movies.
I want a love like the movies
Her mind often wandered back to the years before prison where she felt happy, wanted by the man she lay with at night. Wrapped up in creme sheets, locks of hair strewn across the fabric of the pillowcases, limbs wrapped with one another’s, bare skin touching bare skin.
But, now, it just seemed like years behind her.
We go to parties but it’s all for show
Y/N couldn’t remember the last time Spencer had said ‘I love you’ to her and genuinely looked happy. The only time Spencer ever held her hand or had a grip on her body being when they were around the team at Rossi’s. Then, as soon as they were free from onlooking eyes, his hands would drop, shoving them into his pants pockets.
That part had irked her the most, feeling like her heart physically broke into halves.
Never in the years they were together did Spencer not want to touch her, especially alone. As they drove home, she’d think back to the nights where his hands would explore her body, gasps escaping through her lips as he’d mumble sweet nothings against her skin, leaving traces of him on her neck, chest, and anywhere he could reach.
She’d think back to the nights where they’d come back from dinner, holding hands as they walked out into the D.C weather, giggling to themselves, whispering sweet anecdotes. But, that wasn’t him anymore. That was her Spencer. The man she lay next to at night felt nothing like the Spencer she fell in love with. That Spencer had come and gone.
The new Spencer dropped her hand while the old one never would’ve dreamed of letting go.
We’re holdin’ hands but it’s all just for show
As much as she knew she couldn’t take this anymore, she settled into this groove with him quite quick. The two only really conversing for work. Y/N was surprised that working with profilers, no one had noticed the change in dynamic.
At least not until six months later.
That’s when Penelope first noticed. The team had gone out one night after a harrowing case, so they decided to get out and let loose. Usually on nights like these, Spencer and Y/N never left each other, practically attached at the hip.
So why was Y/N with Emily and JJ, and Spencer talking to another woman?
Like just on the drive here, I was looking through your texts
Y/N sat in their shared bed while Spencer was in the shower. Something the two had also changed about their dynamic. Most nights, before things went downhill, the two would shower together, Spencer jokingly looking at her, claiming, ‘It’ll save water, it’s good for the environment.’ But, that stopped, just like everything else did.
His phone buzzed on the nightstand, and if it wasn’t for their line of work, she wouldn’t have peeked.
I hope to see you really soon. Last night was very fun ;)
Y/N’s heart sank reading the words on the screen. The message being from a contact ‘Mom’s Clinic’, but she knew. She knew that was a lie, just like how he was supposedly babysitting for JJ and Will so the two could have a night out. Y/N knew JJ would’ve told her.
“So, your mom’s clinic texted you. I didn’t know you were getting some from the doctors in DC.”
Her words felt bitter on her tongue as she stared down at the comforter on their bed. Spencer gulped, knowing he was caught. “I’ll block her number, alright, I’m sorry.” But, that wasn’t good enough for her. What’s done was done. Their relationship already being damaged continually.
And you say it’s over, so why does she call you at 3AM and 4AM? That’s a funny way of stayin’ friends.
The sound of a phone ringing awoke her. Y/N got up, quietly rushing to his go bag and fishing his phone out. Once again, the same number she recognized flashed on the small screen. Y/N sighed, placing the phone back in it’s place and grabbing a glass of water before settling back into bed.
She didn’t fight it anymore. She let him keep contact, knowing he would just keep hiding it.
In my head, we’re dancing in the dark
She could still remember the Saturday mornings, the smell of bacon and pancakes looming throughout the apartment as Spencer took her in his arms, spinning her as music played softly through a speaker.
“Spence!”
Her laughs echoing in her brain, tears forming in her lash line as she came to the conclusion nothing would ever stay the same. The smell of his cologne as if it were right there, burning in her nostrils.
In my head, we kiss under stars
The feeling of his lips on hers were engraved in her mind. The sparks that had ignited her body, starting from her head, moving to her fingertips, and even her toes. The soft, wet splotches he’d leave across her skin, moving their way from her neck down to her thighs had been a core memory for her.
But, she knew he was doing that with her now.
But we know that’s not what we’re doing
Spencer rarely ever stayed at his own apartment anymore, only going there if they were called on a case, picking her up and resuming the façade of a relationship they held in front of their loved ones.
They had come to a mutual silent agreement that this would occur. Y/N had never felt lonelier. The bed felt colder, the shower’s feeling longer. All of it felt so uncoordinated to her.
In my head we never grow apart
It had been three months since the affair began, Y/N holding onto a thread of the relationship they had. “How are you and Spence?” JJ had brought up one morning as the ladies of the BAU were in Garcia’s ‘Batcave’.
“We’re, uh, we’re fine. Just busy with work, you know how it is.”
Y/N had a tight-lipped smile, looking down at the floor. “You know, you can come stay at my house any time you want. I’ve always got room for you, sweetpea.” Penelope rested her hand on the girl’s knee. No, please stop.
She knew the second someone else besides Spencer and herself noticed the changes, it would all come crumbling down. Which, she was right.
In my head, you never break my heart
It was two-thirty in the morning when Y/N stood in the pouring rain, knocking on Penelope’s door. Penelope’s heart sunk at the image before her. Y/N’s hair and clothes soaking wet from the rain, the girl’s face red from crying continuously as she sobbed.
“Oh, honey.”
Then and there, she told Garcia everything. About after prison, the affair, the changes, him. Penelope held her as she cried, tears forming in her own eyes as she was one of the biggest believers in their relationship.
And I can’t pretend that it’ll never come back (I want a love like the movies)
After several hours of discussion with Penelope, JJ, and Emily, there she stood. The three had helped the girl pack up all of her belongings, loading them onto a moving truck. The apartment they once shared together bare of her things, looking just as it did before she had moved in all those years ago.
Since that day, Y/N never looked back. Shutting the door behind her and leaving the apartment had never felt so refreshing. Y/N stared out of the plane window, thinking about the last 6 hours. Packing all of her stuff up, taking a letter of resignation to Hotch, and boarding a plane to London, after thanking Emily for her letter of recommendation to Interpol.
And I think you’re seeing right through me
That afternoon, Spencer came back to the apartment, closing the door behind him. His legs carried him into the kitchen, seeing no food prepared. He was about to call for her until he noticed a piece of paper next to a key and a necklace. Spencer read the letter, pacing back and forth around the apartment.
The words she wrote to him stinging, but he knew that everything she said was true.
‘Our love hasn’t been the same anymore, and I just can’t do it. I’m sorry for not being the woman you needed anymore.’
He sighed, running a hand through his hair as he sat on the couch, clutching the letter. The last line was one he didn’t think he would ever forget. Reading it, he knew she would never come back. ‘I want a love like the movies, Spencer. But, our movie ended and there’s no sequel.’
And I want a love like the movies

Running late to work was not something Y/N L/N was used to in her normal routine, but, today was different. The train from D.C to Quantico was usually on time, especially for the train Y/N having to take, arriving at 5:30am to get to Quantico by 7, making space if changes were to happen. But, the train was running late more than usual and it had stressed her out awfully.
“Y/N, hey.”
She recognized that small, but familiar voice anywhere. The voice, in fact, being fellow FBI employee, profiler Dr. Spencer Reid. Her eyes looked up from her nails she was picking at to Spencer who stood awkwardly gripping his satchel.
“Spencer, hi. I didn’t know you took this train.”
Spencer shook his head, shuffling awkwardly, before settling his feet. “I don’t, normally, but I didn’t finish some paperwork because we got back so late from the most recent case, so I decided to go up early.” Y/N smiled at this. She never figured Spencer was the type to not get anything done, especially with how he was. Reading 20k words a minute, an IQ of 187, and his eidetic memory served well within the BAU, making him the smartest on the team, at least in Y/N’s mind.
That made sense, considering she had been harboring a liking for the man for the past two years, since her first day of being a psychologist for the BAU when needed, but mostly for other departments in the Bureau. The train finally pulled into the station, it being 6:15 in the morning. The two boarded. “So, I’ll see you-” “Would you like to sit with me?” The two agents talked over each other, making the two share a small smile.
“Oh, sure, Spencer.”
She walked over to where the tall man chose to sit, sitting next to him. “So, how was the case, anyway?” Spencer’s face lit up, which would be surprising to anyone who didn’t know Spencer, but only knew his line of work. Lighting up at the mention of talking about serial killers? What a Spencer Reid thing to do.
“Well, it was actually a bit of a long one. This guy had been copying the Zodiac Killer, basically killing as a set-up to impress his childhood friend who had recently gotten engaged.” Spencer rambled. Y/N listened as he continued to talk animatedly about the case he had just returned from.
The train had come to a stop 45 minutes later, the two timed it, high-fiving as it came to be fourty-five minutes, and not a second later. Spencer and Y/N walked together to the Quantico Headquarters, quietly conversing between the two of them.
As the two walked in together, Penelope nudged her coworkers, watching as Y/N walked over to them, and Spencer walked over to make himself a cup of coffee. “Hi, Penny,” Y/N mumbled, walking over to her. “Oh my goodness, are those new jeans? Because they look absolutely amazing on you, I mean, your curves, I’m totally-” Y/N grabbed Garcia by the shoulders. “Yes, Penny, they’re new jeans. You’ve shopped with me before. A lot of shops don’t accommodate women in my size, so I actually got pretty lucky with this one shop."
“Amen to that, sister.”
Garcia smiled, hugging the girl once again. Spencer walked up to Y/N after a few minutes, handing her a mug. “I, um, know you don’t like coffee, so I made you some tea.” Y/N bit her lip, trying to hide a smile. “Wow, um, thank you, Spencer.” She took a sip of her tea, humming in enjoyment.
Y/N joined Penelope, Emily, and JJ who were stood near Emily’s desk. “JJ, how’s Henry?” JJ, being the way JJ was, jumped at the opportunity to talk about her son, which all the women enjoyed.
“Pretty Boy? Are you listening?”
Spencer snapped his head over to Derek’s direction, who leaned against the younger man’s desk, smirking. “See something you like?” Reid’s eyes widened, spluttering out incomprehensible noises. “You like her, don’t you, kid?” Spencer couldn’t help but look down at his shoes.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
But, Spencer knew he was caught. He made it annoyingly obvious he was staring at the girl as she awed and smiled as JJ showed the woman pictures of her child.
How could he not like her though? How pretty her smile was, the way her eyes sparkled and lit up when talking about something she thoroughly enjoyed, or the curve of her waist, even down to her thighs.
Was that weird that he thought about her like that when she probably never thought of him at all? That had definitely run through Spencer's mind plenty of times, but that didn't stop him from becoming infatuated with the girl, pining over her day after day.
Derek laughed. “Alright, well, if you don’t, maybe I’ll see if Y/N wants to go to dinner with me tomorrow night.” He stood up, causing Spencer to be, shockingly, the fastest Morgan had ever seen him move in the 7 years he’d worked with Reid.
Across the room, Penelope Garcia also had a plan up her sleeve. “So, Y/N, Spencer's pretty cute, don't you think?" She smirked. Y/N looked between Garcia, Emily, and JJ, then to the guys across the room and back to the girls.
"'Course he is. Have you seen him? Although, I never picked him as your type, P."
Garcia giggled. "Oh, honey. He's not. But, what's your type?" Y/N looked over at her and glared, knowing exactly what she was referring to. "Penny..."
Emily looked between the two. "I feel like we're missing something.." Garcia nodded. "Let's just say, our favorite girl genius has been lovingly doting on our resident genius for months now, spilling how attractive she finds him after, hm, what is it? A glass and a half of wine?"
Y/N sheepishly smiled. She recalled the nights she was drunk where all she could remember at the time was Spencer. The way he talked, walked, dressed, and his mannerisms. Everything about the man starting from his sandy brown hair all the way down to his black converse, she loved it all.
The two meet in the middle of the room, spluttering out words including “like”, “date”, and “tomorrow”. Spencer then takes a breath before speaking. “Y/N, I really like you, and I was hoping, maybe, I, uh, could take you to dinner tomorrow night?”
Y/N looks down at the floor of the bullpen. “Are you sure you’d wanna go out with me? I’m sure I’m not Dr. Reid’s type and all..” She recalls seeing what Maeve had looked like, so going from Maeve to her made thoughts run all through her head, thinking Spencer wouldn’t want to be with her.
“You’re kidding, right? Looks don’t matter to me. All I can about is if we’re happy, and what’s on the inside; your personality is the only thing I care about, and, of course, if you can get along with the team. Which, you can. Besides, you’re so pretty, and funny, and just… everything I could ever ask for.”
Y/N smiled softly before looking up at Spencer, extending her hand. He takes her hand in his and shakes it, confused nonetheless.
“It’s a date, Dr. Reid."
She linked her arm through his as they walked to the other side of the bullpen. "As long as we’re talking terms though, the tea you made me? I’m going to need you to make me that every day..”

Eddie didn’t know what was wrong with him.
For some reason, he had been super emotional all day. He didn’t know what had come over him, but today had been a rollercoaster of emotions for the metalhead. He was sad one minute and then happy the next.
“Eds?”
He looked up, meeting the eyes of his girlfriend, Y/N L/N. The two had been inseparable ever since she moved into the trailer next to his almost six years ago. Then, after about a year of hiding and harboring feelings for the girl, he finally plucked up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend.
Thank god she said yes.
“Yeah, baby?”
Y/N hid her smile at the nickname. “So, do you have everything set up for the campaign this week?” Eddie nodded. “Yep, the guys are in for a real treat this week.” Y/N smiled softly, loving the way his eyes lit up when talking about his Hellfire Club.
The two sat in silence for a while, Eddie looking over last-minute things for Thursday night, and Y/N next to him, flipping through a random magazine she had bought at the drugstore that morning.
Y/N finally broke the silence after about forty-five minutes. “Will you teach me?” Eddie met her eyes, raising a curious brow to the girl. “Teach you?” She nodded, pointing to the various sprawled-out papers in front of Eddie.
“Will you teach me how to play? I mean, it’s your favorite, and I just think I should know how to play, to support you, you know?”
Eddie couldn’t remember a time when he had smiled this wide. “‘Course, sweetness. C’mere.” Y/N scooted next to him, her head leaning against his shoulder blade. Eddie began to talk, explaining things in great detail. He could tell that the girl was taking everything he said and making little mental notes to remember later.
Thankfully, that week, Y/N was able to put her knowledge to the test as it was the week of the championship basketball game and Lucas had to skip Hellfire. Mike and Dustin volunteered you as Lucas’ sub for the week. Eddie was feeling a little wary about it but didn’t show it so as to not upset her.
“Everyone ready?”
The group looked towards Eddie, nodding as the game began. Turn after turn, they did quite well, advancing throughout the game efficiently. “Guys, I hate to say this, but we’ve got to flee.” Y/N’s eyes shot up.
“I concur.”
She listened as the boys around her argued.
“Hey! If I may interject, gentlemen, Princess Star.” Eddie stood. “Whilst I respect the passion, you'd be wise to take Gareth the Great's concern to heart.” He continued, “There is no shame in running.”
After a while, a decision was made.
“Princess Star?”
Y/N looked around at the table of boys surrounding her and then at Eddie. “Give me the D20.” Dustin hands her the dice, and she rolls. It lands on a 12, everyone groaning aloud. “No!” Mike was quick to hand her the dice once more.
She takes a deep breath, looking around at them once again before rolling the dice. It takes a while for it to stop its motion, and when it does, the room fills with cheers. A 20. Y/N rolled a 20.
She actually did it.
Eddie looked at his girl proudly.
He sweeps her up into his arms and she squeals, being spun around the room. Eddie places her onto her feet, cupping her face into his hands, and the two stand there, staring at one another for what seemed like hours.
“I think I’m in love with you.”
A noise of excitement came out of Dustin’s mouth but was quickly silenced by Mike who slapped a hand over his mouth. Y/N smiled widely, rolling her eyes up at her boyfriend.
“It’s a good thing I love you too, Munson. So, so much.”
