X-men Red Finale!

Brand's plan is revealed! Her goal is to become THE intergalactic defense and representative for Sol, superseding SHIELD'S authority, Krakoa, and expanding S.W.O.R.D's power.

So far, Brand has:

Joined Krakoa and pitched SWORD as a mutant space agency, granting her power and influence, and a station on Mars.

Unbeknownst to Krakoa, at the very beginning she returned Vulcan who she brainwashed by resetting his psyche to his Mad King persona, and made him her personal muscle.

She planned to reignite a 4-way war to weaken the Shiar, Kree, Skrull, and Krakoa respective nations to singlehandedly forge peace talks, securing SWORD as Sol's global defense and influencing the Galactic Council.

She planned on either controlling the Arakkii population by force or removing them to Amenth to secure her diplomatic planet instead of a single station on Mars.

What she didn't predict?

Storm, the Regent of Mars and Voice of Sol on the galactic council, embraced the Arakkii and formed a Brotherhood to defend the mutant society's political, social, and economic interests instead of imposing her will; which opposed Brand's aspirations for controlling the population as a resource and colonial rule via Storm's regency.

Storm's Brotherhood, dispatched Brand's X-men and her grip on Mars; Sunspot and Magneto even joined the Great Ring and their cause. Sunspot plotted in the shadows with the Night Seats and Magneto removed Tarn who was a reminder of Amenth's violent terror as overlords of the Arakkii. Storm then willingly gave her regency over to Arakko.

The war with the Eternals strengthened the bond between Arakkii and Krakoans, and solidified an age of coalition instead of hierarchy; Storm's mutant circuit with Magneto to boost his life force via elemental power acted as the catalyst for this new age for Arakko. An age of collaboration for one another to live and thrive as one. An ideal that Magneto died for.

Cable recruited mutant agents of Brand's S.W.O.R.D, who suspected she had larger sinister plans. Upon Brand's unexpected death in the war with the Eternals, they discovered her goals and plans.

Upon setting Vulcan loose on Xandra to cause the galactic War, Sunspot intercepts. Vulcan, (and Brand) realizing he was played, reaches the base of the Brotherhood, Magneto's palace...where Storm is waiting:

Conclusion:

Vulcan, eager to show off his power, is frustrated Storm isn't manipulating the elements to showcase her power like him. Storm is pretty badass in this fight because (1) she doesn't move from where she's standing and delivers my favorite line, "Surviving, its what I've done since the day I was born," and (2) she lets him chat about his kingship and power, trying to goad her into unleashing her restraint.

Yet, Storm implemented her ideology instead of defeating in grand gestures; She lets Vulcan burn everything to make him think he has the advantage and they douse him with what appears to be a mysterium-infused rainstorm supplied by the Great Ring's mutant-made underground chambers of ocean lined with mysterium. My only real criticism is having Storm play defense before incapacitating Vulcan and that the mutant circuit not being as expressive as Storm and Magneto's, it seemed less creative visually and thematically, but clever nonetheless.

Arakko and Krakoa are finely one in mind and spirit thanks to Storm's leadership and values. Hierarchy, especially through dominance, is discarded. Leadership is forged through Brotherhood and coalition. To have a voice in the Broken Land you must become of the Broken Land.

Brand is now exposed and the Fisher King of the Night Seats ambushes her, and we're left with a cliff hangar for what has become of her. The Wiz Kid is now in control of SWORD.

Xavier’s dream turns deadly for some of his students as they fight back against the humans’ plan to eliminate them. As his proteges have seemingly all died at the hands of humans once again, Xavier cries and vows "no more." The Sentinel drones that were mining on Mercury, and thus could not reach the station in time to stop the X-Men, finally arrive, intercept Jean's pod, and kill her. With the mission complete, Cyclops tries to find a space suit in order to get to Jean's pod so that they can try and make their way home however, he is intercepted by Doctor Gregor, who shoots and kills him. Nightcrawler teleports Wolverine onto the collar before being instantly evaporated by the Sun, while Wolverine's healing factor buys him enough time to carve through it before he too is evaporated, as the now online Mother Mold hurtles into the Sun while raving maniacally via an Olympian allegory that the machines have found both man and mutant guilty and will destroy them both. Wolverine and Nightcrawler volunteer to head to the final switch, which is now in a vacuum. Xavier tells them to do whatever it takes to stop it. Cyclops finds and disengages his control collar, but Mystique, having gotten turned around, is intercepted just as she finds hers, and is killed as Doctor Gregor opens a hatch into space.ĭesperate, the humans power-on the Mother Mold, despite not knowing whether it will be sane or not. Vaguely inspired by Pride and Prejudice, I really want an New Mutants-based Regency AU where Magneto is a widower who not only constantly nags his rowdy wards to either marry well or take up a trade (he refuses to buy them commissions in the English military) so that they may live comfortably after the Xavier estate is entailed away, but ALSO to take frequent exercise, become learned in both the genteel and martial arts, attend every ball in the village to become appropriately socialized, and eat only healthful foods. No he will not listen if you point out that he drinks an absurd amount of wine, is very ill-socialized, and indeed spends all his time arguing with Miss Frost. Also “Pride and Prejudice but Mr. Bennet fakes his death” is extremely funny

I don’t know if it can really be considered a spoiler that Inferno results in Destiny’s resurrection - I mean we all knew that was coming, right? I’m curious if Destiny being on the Council (and I can’t imagine her not getting voted in by the others, no matter what Xavier and Magneto want) is going to result in a reopening of the verdicts about certain others who have been banned from resurrection. Like, oh say.....Maddy. I doubt it’ll happen, but I’d love to see Maddy take Jean’s vacated seat on the Council. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Scott stepping down as a War Captain might lead to him taking one of the vacated Council seats instead, like Ororo’s. (Even though the timeline is vague, I’m pretty sure she stepped down from the Council when assuming the Regency on Arakko? But I could be wrong).

Seye and Marti get married at the old community church Marti’s mother was a part of. Seye rocks an agbada rather than a tux. Wedding color scheme is scarlet and teal. Marti’s dress is a fairly traditional lacy white with a sleek kinda-sexy-but-tasteful silhouette and some cool colorful Huipil-esque embroidery at the hems and waist. It’s a pretty small was-nearly-an-elopement-but-then-your-friends-found-out-and-insisted-on-throwing-it wedding

Aedan and Rei get married in church ruins so like… fairytale-feeling, but also a little goth. Color scheme is green, yellow, and amber. Rei’s wedding dress has kind of an elven feel to it, with vaguely Japanese + Regency elements. Aedan’s tux is a lovely deep moss green. It’s a bit more planned than Marti and Seye’s wedding, but there are more bittersweet undertones to it.

Planned Out Cool Trip To Raipur To Hang Out With Friends

There are some friends in life who mean a lot to you and to enjoy the best with them you need to go out on trips with them. This time we decided to go on a trip to Raipur which is also one of the coolest places on earth to hang out with friends. There was lot to do and I was the one who had to plan for each and everything for the whole trip. The reason for me being the key planner for everything this time was that I had been to Raipur a couple of times before.

There were a lot of things going on in my mind and the first thing among all of them was the total cost of the trip. I wanted to make it a budget trip so instead of going on flights and spending considerably more we decided to travel in train this time. So the process of booking train tickets started by looking for the list of trains to Raipur from Bilaspur and found out the Sarnath Express (15159) on the list. The next process was to look for the Sarnath Express Time Table that could give us all the details about the train.

Why planning is mandatory?

There is a fact about travelling and that is you cannot even go from your home to office without planning. You just cannot take any route for a journey and expect that it will end in the destination that you want to go. So planning is extremely necessary in any field of life thus on this trip I planned out everything with the help of the Sarnath Express Time Table in regards to the train.

The train schedule helped me a great deal to book tickets this time as the first thing I wanted to know was the arrival and departure time of the Sarnath Express (15159) as this was something very important. As per the schedule the train arrives at the Bilaspur Junction at 04:05 am in the morning and would reach Raipur in just in two hours around 06:10 am. As this was a short trip I booked tickets on the Second class seating coach as two hours would go just like a tick when you have friends along with you.

Fun at Raipur: Amazing time!

We reached around 6:15 am in the morning and as we came out of the station we had some tea in a stall nearby as it was cold that morning. Then we took a cab straight to the Hotel Simran Regency which is on the Main Road Pandri Raipur. I must say that the hotel is super in terms of the service and cleanliness so we stayed till the evening there. We had come to hangout and malls are a kind of perfect places for this purpose so we went to the Magneto - The Mall and the Ambuja City Center Mall and shopped like crazy people there. Both these malls are massive and specialize in national and international products. You need to come to these places for sure when you come to Raipur.

After my parents lost my first delivery of hooks-and-eyes (because I accidentally clicked on my parents' address and not mine when I ordered it), I ordered them again, and they arrived yesterday. I was able to sew them into where I need them, and now my Magneto-inspired Regency Dandy outfit is complete as far as I can get it to be. I still need a hat, but I haven't been able to find the right kind second-hand, and I don't have the money to buy a brand new one. I'd also like a fancy cane sometime in the future ideally, although technically I could probably decorate my actual ambulatory cane to look more "historical" if I really wanted to. I sewed the cape I'm wearing last year for my Purim costume. The shoes I'm wearing are shoes I found at a second-hand shop last week. They were a little pricey, but they're really nice, and I've been needing a pair of dress shoes for interviews and shit anyway. The breeches, waistcoat, and coat were all sewed by me by (sometimes drastically) re-tailoring clothes I thrifted. The cravat is a nice cravat I also found last week while thrifting, and the two brooches too.

Anyway, enough rambling, here's what it looks like altogether. I know my hair looks scruffy, I need a haircut desperately, I just haven't had the time yet.

This will probably be an ongoing project as I hunt for the accessories I want to complete it, but until then, I'm really happy with how it's all come together :)

I'm not sure yet!!

I'm really into sustainable fashion, so I don't really buy clothes unless I need to (haven't bought new clothes in years except for like...underwear and socks), and when it comes to historical costuming, I don't really sew something unless I really really want to, and know it's something that's versatile. Like the Magneto-inspired Dandy outfit is versatile, I can use it for other pieces, switch it up, etc.

Usually I start a project because I'll see fabric or a piece of clothing and it inspires me, not the other way around, y'know? So we'll see.

Although I am thinking of one day making a Regency Gentleman outfit inspired by Wilson's Bird of Paradise......
