Maybe kinda weird but there is One (1) thing i really dislike in the Danny Phantom fandom.

The Obsession Fanon.

Because I believe it takes away some very important characteristic from Danny.

If you make his so-called 'obsession' protection you take away something very important.

The fact that he choose to do it.

He choose to help people. He continues to choose it no matter what. He still helps the people who bully him.

Why? Because as he said in an episode. No one else will.

He is a good person and by just saying he has to because of an "obsession" I feel like you destroy that part of his character.

If you make his 'obsession' space you also take something away. As he mentioned he wanted to be an astronaut. By making it an obsession you take away this thing he loved. Because you end up 'forcing' him to love it because he has to to survive because of 'obsession'

Sure. The ghosts have a theme but they are more than that. Sure Ember has her music thing but she still dates and does other stuff. Youngblood plays games but he is a young kid.

What would you even give Johnny and Kitty? Love? With all the arguements they have?

I dont like the Obsession thing that Fanon seems to be convinced about is Canon and I will die on this hill.

And no. It isnt Canon. As far as I remember (and I watched the show three times but i may misremember some stuff) it was never truly mentioned as obsession. You have ghosts who have goals but the humans also have goals and you dont call that obsessions.

These ghosts are just bored out of their minds and decide to do ghost stuff and cause trouble because of that or to gain more power.

Ember doesnt sing because she wants to be a popstar. She straight up is a popstar because she gained more power from people knowing her name. (An example I know of the top of my head)

Just. Really dislike the fandoms obsession with Obsessions.

It's rant time

I swear every time a person says "Alina was a little girl/teenager" and "the Darkling was a weirdo for wanting her" my peace is replaced by an immense annoyance.

So just because the Darkling is immortal he's not....allowed to have a relationship?? So what, he must remain single and alone forever otherwise he's gonna break your white moral code? Do all immortal creatures must remain single and not have a partner?

Since when was Alina a "little girl"? She was seventeen, a certified adult by the Grishaverse standards since people are considered adults by the age of sixteen. So where did the "teenager" term came from?

And bold of you to assume that the word "teenager" even exists in this universe. In the Grishaverse you're a child and then you straight up become an adult at the age of sixteen. There are no teenage years for them.

And these passages from "King of Scars" prove it:

"She's barely sixteen" - which probably means that sixteen is also the age where girls begin to get married. In this case, Elke Marie will get married even sooner and no one bats an eye (everyone except Nikolai who tries to find an excuse to not get married).

And let's not forget the fact that Alina was immortal while she still had her powers. So if she had never lost them, sooner or later she would inevitably end up with Aleksander. The only other creature who could be with her.

Literally no Grishaverse character was disturbed or raised eyebrows for Alina's age. They all chastised her for wanting the "bad guy". Because it was the choice that made them revolt not the age, since she was an adult by then. They expected much from her (to rule, to lead, to fight) because quite simply she wasn't a child.

This babyfication of female characters in every piece of media has become a trend and I don't like it. You people will never accept other fictional universes' rules and you will never allow female characters to have depth and complexity. Alina had a sexual desire for the Darkling, she had feelings for him, she wanted power and she had her own darkness inside her but you will never get her out of the "she was just a little girl" description. You make her even worse than how she was written.

And it's evident how you have no problem with Nikolai proposing to Alina and even suggesting that he wanted children with her but everyone raged when the Darkling showed interest and sexual desire for her.

You know what fucks me(up) about the people complaining about all the ship content of Alastor is that as an asexual myself it genuinely makes me so happy to see so much fanfic taking my sexuality into account. I like that people who want to write Al in ship content and have to actually fucking sit there a think "how would someone who's not interested in sex, engage with sex?" and then work and think creatively within that. I absolutely love that because Hazbin Hotel has canon asexual representation that it encourages real ace people to project onto this character and make art around that. I love that I have a solid 7/10 chance of the fucked up weird ass Alastor porn I read to be written by another ace person as apposed to every other fandom where I have a like 1/50 chance(unless its like mob psycho/opm)

I like being able to read about the kind sex that I actually resonate with. And I wanna clarify that I'm an incredibly sex repulsed ace, like, I get very upset and bothered by being sexualized myself and have absolutely no interest in others or sex itself. So before any other repulsed aces come up and be like "uwu but I don't like it and writing Al like that insults me, saying identity is a spectrum is a copout" first of all, no❤. Second of all, every identity is a spectrum especially asexuality because it's more of an umbrella term then necessarily one solid concrete sexuality. If this was like a Taylor Swift situation where people were headcanoning a irl person as queer because they're insane, I'd understand the weird pretentious vitriol towards the people in the fandom who want to fuck Alastor but its not. He's not real and it truly does not matter if you draw his dick or write him as something more then a weirdly virginal idiot who doesn't understand what a stripper pole is(I blame u for this Ed jk love u).

I really really really hate how the fight for representation and the rightful demand of better and more respectful media has emboldened people to use the guise of "protecting" underrepresented and valued people by essentially saying they want the representation we have to go away. Angel isn't the perfect innocent victim who cries once and gets over being raped? Harmful to REAL victims uwu and thus shouldn't exist at all. Fuck off. Say what you want about Viv's writing but Hazbin has done more to represent trauma and queerness then your hissy fit tiktoks and text posts.

Listen! When I tell you this mans is and will always be the best part of the DLC I am not joking! He holds my heart and I adore him more then life! His story on its own is one of the best Pokemon has done in a long time.

Like, this anxious little loner meets up with your protag, gets absolutely destroyed in a battle multiple times, loses his favorite Pokemon to you, and then goes crazy. After that he trains to be one of the harder npcs to come to Pokemon in a looong time, still loses and grows from it, chooses to help you, you become friends again and it's so cute! Then he gets to hang out with all your friends, and he finally gets a great support system ahhhhh!! Also, I just found out that statistically, Kieran is now the most powerful npc trainer in pokemon history, even beating out Cynthia! My little guy is so strong!!!

And now....LIKE HE'S SUPER TICKLISH RIGHT!?!? Would that even be up for debate?? Look at that little fella! He neeeeeeeeds tickles, please! Carmine 100% tickles him all the time. (Even tho I hate her lol) And the whole friend group definitely wrecks him, especially as a team! Poor kid needs it after everything he went through! Oh, and I can totally see Drayton tickling his as "punishment" for how he acted in the indigo disk dlc lol. I'm also cringe and ship my Trainer Deigo with him, so they obviously get into tickle fights all the time! I'll have to post Deigo on here so yall can see him >w< It's been a long time since Pokemon has made me like the character I'm playing!

Okay, I feel the need to say this because a lot of people (including Quinton Reviews to an extent) are saying things about the former nick stars "overreacting" in regards to inappropriate material.

"Oh, it isn't that bad!"

But here is the thing: if a child is uncomfortable with something, you fucking change it. Even if it wasn't intended to be in poor taste, if the kid is uncomfortable, then throw the whole damn thing away.

If a kid doesn't like the spandex superhero outfit? Then you get him some damn clothes that he wants to wear.

A kid is uncomfortable with a scene of candy squirting into another actor's face? Then throw that whole scene out.

A kid doesn't want to do something? Well, then, DON'T FUCKING MAKE THEM DO IT.

Kids are fucking kids. You need to be walking on eggshells around them because, naturally, they're sensitive to these things. Why? Because they're FUCKING KIDS. If it makes your production harder, well then too fucking bad! Welcome to working with children! Every decent parent, childcare worker and teacher has to do the same thing and it sure as hell isn't easy because it's not MEANT TO BE EASY.

like did you not get that he didn't kill nikolai because it would be much worse for him to suffer as a demon???? also HELLO the murder of zoya's aunt and the entire villages, creating the FOLD, letting genya be assaulted by the king since she was like 12, lying to alina about everything and literally using her for her power. He manipulates at every turn (his mom even says he's had years to master that) not to mention being over 1,000 years old and still being into teen girls.

There is nothing I hate more than people who are incapable of seeing the grey in peoples character and straight up bash them like there's no tomorrow. They want humans to be one dimensional perfect flawless beings who make no mistakes and are the living embodies of perfect morals and values.

I am not sorry for loving a character who's not perfect and has made mistakes. I prefer to love them in all their flaws. I prefer to love these characters who learn from said mistakes and be better as time passes by. Because I know that the world we live in has some of the shittiest humans and that nobody is perfect. Unlike you I am living in a real world because the humans in my world are not perfect.

And I can't believe I am repeating this again but here we are just becoz the way you have seen one person handle trauma doesn't make it the norm of how everyone does it. Sky trauma is Sky's alone and you don't get to judge how he handled it and who he chooses to let in into his life. You have no right to make it about you and what you think is the right way to deal with said trauma. Sky needed some stubborn like Prapai in his life to help him. And nobody said he was healed just coz he got into a relationship and got some free hugs. No Sky is still dealing with his trauma and he will always have to deal with it because it's a part of his past but being with Prapai makes it a bit easier to deal with because he doesn't have to be alone anymore. He has someone to hold him during his nightmares and to reassure him that he is loved and cherished and worthy. And Sky had sex with Prapai becoz he wanted to Prapai never pushed him Prapai asked him multiple times if it was Sky choice so the fact that you can't see it is a disrespect to Sky and his choices. Which for a character like Sky who has been through trauma is very crucial.

The fact that you chose to be ignorant and deliberately be blind towards all this makes me feel sorry for you because you are denying yourself the opportunity to understand the complexities of human behaviors. And at the same time you are attacking other real life people who related to their story and felt seen and understood and invalidating their experiences and their emotions.

Am I the only one who hears people saying they don’t comment on fic “because they don’t wanna be a bother!” or “it’s just weird to comment on an old fic, feels stalkerish!” and think that’s bullshit? That no one believes that and people are just looking for excuses not to comment?

The new thing now is to go against writers who don’t reply to comments and to me that’s wild. Like, this person wrote a whole-ass story FOR FREE that you got to read FOR FREE and you believe that if they don’t reply to your comment they don’t care??? Like, why would they post their story if not for people to enjoy it and engage with it? Why does that person OWE you MORE of their time so that they are worthy of your comment????

Slowly losing the right vibes on the prisoner story even though there’s a sequence I still really like but getting there is the problem, and also kinda getting pulled to the main story but dreading the reread and big planning it requires.

I don't speak for everyone who doesn't like Lily right now, so here's my own reason why I think Lily deserved a good slap to the gonads as of the current chapter:

I'm just sad for Misono honestly. He's already been kept in the dark and had his trust for Lily broken before in the Lust Arc. I'm honestly not even sure if Misono fully recovered from that betrayal but he seems to have forgiven Lily after the arc.

Misono was even super worried for Lily when his body started deteriorating. Poor baby T_T

But guess what? Lily is (yes, he lost his djinn but) fine and dandy.

He's not in a baby body anymore, he can walk and talk just fine and he can use his powers too! All that worrying from Misono just for Lily to just spring right back into action. Like, are you kidding me?

And to finish off this cake of "what the actual fuck", he's siding with Mikuni (I'm not even gonna question Mikuni anymore. At this point, I'm convinced that he's just gone off the deep end)

And Lily had the absolute audacity to say "I'm doing this for Misono's happiness."

Sure feels like we're in the Lust Arc all over again (ಠ_ಠ).

I'm sorry but, what happiness are you talking about? The "everyone in Tokyo who isn't a vampire or an Eve is gonna literally die " happiness? Look, Mikado ain't a likeable person, but he's still Misono's dad. If that guy gets djinn-ified, along with other members of their home staff, I don't think Misono would be so happy about it.
