Marvel has announced the return of What If?, their classic alternate history comic, for the summer, with four one-shots planned under the title What If? Dark.
In What If? Dark: Spider-Gwen #1, Gerry Conway will team with co-writer Jody Houser on this one, which shows what might have happened if Spider-Man had died fighting the Green Goblin on the George Washington Bridge instead of Gwen Stacy. Ramon Bachs provides art, and it comes out July 19. Cover by Greg Land.

New series announced: Strange Tales Infinity Comics, a monthly trip to the other side of the looking glass. Across dimension, time, and space readers will experience unexplored corners of the Multiverse in vertical comics told by all-star creators. It all begins in a Strange Tale by Al Ewing, Ramon Bachs, and Java Tartaglia starring America Chavez, Wong, and the all-new Sorcerer Supreme Clea.
Dimension-jumper Ms. America Chavez visits the Sanctum Sanctorum seeking help from Clea and magical master Wong. America’s sister is trapped in another plane of existence—but where, exactly, the trio can only guess. What interdimensional threats await when reality caves and bends (and offers up demons)? America will learn about a bizarre law of magic—asynchronicity—to merge her past with the present.

It seems that the movie will definitely influence comics since America will have a very strange team-up. Too bad Stephen isn’t involved but I’ll take it anyways since Al Ewing is involved. You all know me.
