just clearing some things up!! because i’m seeing a lot of confusion surrounding whether or not din is din’s first name of last name.
clan djarin / house djarin suggests that djarin is his family name
in some cultures, children take their parents first name. this may be what we are seeing right now
fennec shand in the book of boba fett refers to din as ‘din’, and im pretty sure the armorer also did this in episode 1 or 2 of this season.
pedro pascal, dave filoni, jon favreau have all referred to him on a first name basis (ie din)
i know western culture adopts the idea that second name = family name but this isn’t true for different cultures and heritages around the world!!!!!! so why assume that it is for mandalorian culture?
i don’t think it’s any less confusing than grogu simply taking his father’s first name.
Hellooo my little cherubs. I'm so sorry for the radio silence, I'm working on leaving a toxic job but I'm off for 8 days after today so I will be posting again.
My next Dalton fic will be up tomorrow and it may have a little spice 🥵
partner update they sent me a screenshot of some reddit guys ranking of the trilogies and said "i felt like this would Bother You in a fun way that would give me something fun to read in the morning" and then IMMEDIATELY went to sleep. so i, dutiful partner that i am, of course proceeded to have a 20 minute long infodumping rant
mutuals I am slicing up a baguette and halving cherry tomatoes and drizzling extra virgin olive oil and sprinkling sea salt on top and baking it until the tomatoes are sizzling & fragrant and pouring a dash of balsamic on top as a snack for you
