Don’t really get why, in talking about Max’s Pursuit Special, some people say that it “magically” keeps on getting destroyed and coming back. The car has done that a sum total of once in the entire continuity of the films. It gets blown up at the end of Road Warrior, then slowly gets rebuilt until it becomes what we see in Fury Road, which of course was wrecked in that movie. However, the next two installments in the franchise-Furiosa and Mad Max: The Wasteland, are both prequels to Fury Road. If Max and the Interceptor show up in Furiosa (which seems likely given the leaked set photos showing the car around Broken Hill), plus all the screen time they’ll have in The Wasteland, we’ll have another two films where the Black On Black makes it through without being seriously damaged.

He dared to fly high and beyond
With a will that burned hotter than the sun itself
Outstretched his hand
Just to feel a modicum of its light
Longing to possess its brilliance, power, legacy
Enveloped and overwhelmed
His wings of crystals cracked and he fell
Down into the heart of the sea
Just before the tides claimed him
From the skies, came down them
and reached a hand for his.

The juxtaposition of Morrison and Winick both writing Jason in the same series back to back will never not be funny to me bc Grants like "He's dumb, ugly, doesn't shower and can't even tie a knot, he's also got a stupid costume" followed swiftly by Winicks "he's actually drop dead gorgeous, he reads Jane Austin, he's exactly where he wants to be, he's been 5 steps ahead of everyone this entire time, and oh would you look at that hes got his sense of style back"

where jjba differs from chainsaw man is that jojo is almost fundamentally unconcerned with its characters as people. characters are conduits for morals or metaphors. we all joke that nobody in jojo talks like a person but to be entirely frank almost nobody is treated like one either. chainsaw man is a story about denji learning about love. golden wind is a story about the death of justice and innocence and children...that's why jojo characters are so fascinating because they're barely meant to be characters at all. it's so interesting to see the bare moments where the action and magic is pulled back enough that you see a glimpse of personhood

knowing there's an alternate universe where marinette was given the cat miraculous and adrien, the ladybug.. altered my brain chemistry. like what in their lives and their world could be different enough that fu would look at adrien and think ah, this one is clearly meant for the miraculous of creation. like??
