Favorite Song: Oh dear, that first one is really tough because all the music in the show is just wonderful. Can I cheat and pick one character that ends up with a lot of songs I like? Yes? No? If I can cheat, I'm gonna say pretty much all the songs associated with Rue. But if I absolutely must pick only one song, then I'm going with Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens. I am never going to be able to listen to that song again without picturing the madness of Goldkrone descending into the Crow Festival or Rue's desperation to save Mytho from the harm that she brought him. I am gonna cheat a little and pick a runner up: A Midsummer Night's Dream - Overture by Felix Mendelssohn. It's a piece I've liked since before I got back into classical music, and the episode with Hermia was just a lot of fun.

Unpopular Opinions: Hoo boy, I know I've got unpopular opinions, so let's get my spiciest one out of the way: I think it's important to refer to Duck by whatever the word for "duck" is in a person's primary language. Someone came into my ask box about that a while ago asking what's wrong with calling her Ahiru since that's her name, and I gave it a long answer, but here's the shorter, more accurate answer: she doesn't have a name. She's a duck. That's the point.

Second unpopular opinion: I don't want Princess Tutu to get any sort of sequel/continuation material. A reboot or a movie of the events of the show is fine, but the show itself said a story with no ending is a kind of tragedy. Princess Tutu has a very thematically satisfying ending, and I don't want to lose that. I'm fine with fanfiction and fanart and such because that's just for fun. That's me having my cake and eating it, too. But an actual canon continuation? I don't need it.

Third unpopular opinion, but this one's more of a joke: Anteaterina got robbed. My girl's got both raw talent and endurance and probably would have been able to dance Giselle even with the burden of the Heartshard of Bitter Disappointment. She did like over 50 fouettes in her danceoff with Princess Tutu!! She deserved a spot in the Advanced Class!

Bane

This is around year 3 and a half of my Batman mythos. Bane has moved to Gotham escaping from Santa Prisca in his late 20’s. He started as a child working his father’s sentence after he died. With promises of early release he had experiments for a super soldier serum tested on him. He participated in underground fighting arena’s fighting some of the most deadly murderers and mercenaries the world had to offer. And ultimately killing 10% of the worlds worst villains. All of this had started at the age of 14.Bane quickly realized that they would kill him once they perfected the serum for what they were calling venom. Bane bided his time planning his escape and taking every inch of research poured into him. killing every involved scientist related to the research. Although he doesn’t know who they worked for. Only an owl pendant on the lead scientist’s person

Once he escaped at 27 he took the last remnants of his father the luchador mask that will become his signature look while fighting in underground death arena’s posing as a prisoner fighting for a warden that no one knows the name or seen the face of. When he had gathered enough money and defeated every champion of every arena he caught wind of a creature of the night in Gotham who was unbeatable and untamable he set his destination seeking challenge to defeat or die by the hands of the Batman.

Arriving in Gotham he bought the ran down boxing gym previously owned by Ted Grant. Seeing his opponents whereabouts and training to fight in the style of the ruthless fighter The Batman. The first fight wasn’t even close Batman destroyed Bane locking him up in black gate. Bane promised himself he would find a person to improve on the VENOM formula and sought the botanist/ chemist Pamela Isley dubbed “Poison Ivy” and getting his rematch with Batman.

Hey, I've been rereading AUW for that 1920s itch (I couldn't put it down again this time too! Soo good). And while I know Ahiru is 19yo, I was wondering what the other main 3 ages are? Thanks!

Hi there! (I love your fanart btw!) :D Here’s my headcanon for how old everyone is in the beginning of AUW:

Duck: 19

Fakir: 23

Mytho: 24

Rue: 22

In hindsight I think I might’ve made Fakir a bit too young. Even if he had sped through university then law school, he still would’ve had to go through all the training associated with becoming a police detective (IIRC, one had to be a patrol or beat cop first before becoming a detective). Problem is, it’s very hard finding specific information related to how to become a police detective in the United States from the early 20th century, so I used what every PT fan loves: Author’s Convenience.
