Okay, it's been a minute since I played aa6, but I was watching my sibs play turnabout storyteller last night and it got me thinking....
(spoiler warning, pretty big ones actually)
Athena's opinion of Nahyuta would be SO low. She'd think them a sexist, ageist asshole who would stop at nothing to stoke their own ego. I mean, he even gets the gallery involved, which isn't something prosecutors normally do in japanafiona. She can hear the gallery, sure, and I think the phantom called attention to the gallery in aa5, but that's... it?
And the player gets to see exactly why Nahyuta is the way he is, we never see him tear any other women down unless their the accused, meaning his animosity is almost definitely due to her being a lawyer, not a woman, and we know his animosity towards lawyers is in no small part due to the mask carefully crafted to survive and protect his mother, as discovered at the end of aa6.
I desperately wish I still had that one post about how courtrooms behaved very differently in kurian then japanafiona, but the jist is that in kurian the trial is a formality, put on for the people, and the outcome is already decided, so the gallery's opinion matters a lot more, because that's the entire reason they're bothering to do it. The gallery cries out often during the other cases in aa6, it's a show.
But Athena doesn't have ANY of that context. All she sees is this condescending bastard who repeatedly addresses SIMON when discussing the case, and he's not supposed to be the one handling it! He's a prosecutor and witnesses, not the defense! When called out about it, he cited Simon's experience, but combined with everything else it's yet another slight against Athena, for seemingly no reason.
She would hate them.
To be clear, Simon also talks bad about her, but he's just an asshole. We already knew that. He routinely talks badly about everyone.

w[h]ip wednesday what im alive?
hiiiii. i got dumped and i am very sad and writing is not happening good. but i have like 17k of prosecutor sibs fic on the way that will be done, very soon, i think. here's some of that.
uhhhh miles and franziska in forced quarantine because miles faked sick and it worked but uh oh! franziska's actually sick! hijinks abound. not actually they mostly just annoy each other. here you go i love you.
Somehow, hours later, they are playing scrabble.
It’s past sundown, and Franziska is stubbornly still awake—though Miles can see the pull of sleep fighting her, bags hung heavy beneath her watery gaze. As the day drags she’s beginning to look more and more like a flower mid-wilt, but she is Franziska, and so Miles is forced to sit there and observe while she needlessly forces herself to stay upright, intent to prove a point to any forces that may be watching. Were it anyone else, he might have a speech prepared—about how prolonging rest will only prolong the illness too, about how he promises he won’t tell if she lays down, shuts her eyes for just a little bit.
The clack of her slamming down another tile snaps Miles back to his senses, and he holds the urge to scream behind his teeth where it lives.
Truly, Miles never foresaw himself having to work out the needlessly complex logistics of something like this. Scrabble, he thought, was simple—you spell. Whoever spells better wins. And Franziska, in that regard, would be a worthy opponent—she was a child prodigy, after all, some days Miles wondered if she was born with a law book in her hand.
She clearly did not agree with him, though. Franziska had demanded, right off the bat, that they play in German—as Miles would have an unfair advantage if they played in English. It was obvious in the angry pink heat of her cheeks that she was not expecting him to flip the script on her, because he retorted that she would have the unfair advantage were they to play in German.
So… they are playing in Denglish.
It’s going about as well as one might expect.
Miles stares down at the board, squinting at the mess of letters Franziska has seemingly thrown down at random. Zurückverfolgt, it says, and it has, somehow, cleared out her entire tray, netting her an additional fifty points on top of the—thirty-six?!—she’s already just pulled. When he raises his stunned gaze from the tiles, Franziska looks about as smug as he’d expect her to, arms crossed as she leans back in victory.
“That’s not a real word.”
“It is.”
Miles had the errant thought, as they were settling down to do this, that he should’ve flagged the elder von Karma down and asked him to fetch one or ten German-English dictionaries from the manor’s sprawling library. There was a military-grade walkie-talkie resting on the bedside table, it would only be a single button press, a short request—yet still, Miles cannot find the energy to do even that.
Outside, with the sun having set, the chill creeps in through the aging windowpanes, beneath the outdated architecture of the manor. Franziska is wearing her comforter like a massive, regal cape, one that would make her look like a ruler of all she surveys were it not for the incessant shivering and sniffling. Miles, too, grows cold as the whirling flurries outside crawl beneath his skin, and it gets harder and harder to ignore that it is still December.
“It shouldn’t be,” Miles says. “This language is a pillar of the decay of society.”
“You are a pillar of foolishness,” Franziska retorts, “not to mention a sore loser.”
Miles takes a deep breath, trying so desperately not to envision the shape of his love for his sister as it grows smaller and smaller there in his chest. Perhaps that metaphor isn’t particularly fair—of course he still loves her, he just doesn’t have the patience for this right now. Interacting with anyone in the heart of winter is a chore, and that’s for mere minutes at a time. Being locked in a room for this long with someone as trying as Franziska, it would drive anyone insane.
And there is simply… no reprieve. Because they’re in quarantine, Miles has been commanded by the house’s patriarch to stay exactly where he is. He’s not permitted to even stick his head out the door to breathe anything else besides the same recycled air, feeling thinner and thinner by the minute with the amount of disease it must be carrying. The door might as well be nailed shut.
Franziska is gloating. Miles is staring at her, watching her lips move, but the overhead light is buzzing, it drowns out the noise of all else. That same buzz seems to itch in the space where muscle meets bone, Miles feels it like hundreds of tiny stormclouds beneath his skin. Steeling himself, he keeps his eyes on the floor, away from the walls as the space between them gets smaller and smaller and smaller.
He can’t breathe.
It’s an otherwise unremarkable thing, just a bit of a squeeze in his chest that the air refuses to flow around properly. There’s a sense of coldness in his fingers, like he’s reached out the window and grabbed a handful of snow off the tree, tingling and hard to ignore. Experimentally, he balls a fist, relaxes. He does that a few times, trying to will the blood to warm his digits the way it’s supposed to.
“—and acknowledge me when I speak to you, Miles!”
Miles hears her riding crop whirr past his ear before he feels it hit his hand. A hiss through his teeth is what follows, like his body can’t even find the energy to yelp proper. Any attempt to jerk away from Franziska is lost entirely in the way she gives chase—if he backs up, she’ll easily follow. This close, he feels the fever radiating off her like a space heater, made even more stuffy and suffocating by the way her angry words puff his hair into his face.
The room shrinks, still. Franziska doesn’t seem to notice.

(How to explain???)
In court, there is someone who people think did a bad thing. There is a Judge, who decides whether or not he is guilty. There is a guy who says the person didn't do it. That guy is a Defense Attorney. There is a guy who says the person did do it. That guy is a Prosecutor. They try to convince the judge!
As for big you and Sunny

By • Olalekan Fagbade Surety docked for alleged failure to produce suspect The Police in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned a 54-year-old man, Anointed Nwankwo for allegedly failing to produce Ndubuisi Okoro for whom he stood as surety. Okoro was charged with the offence of unlawful possession and obtaining under a false pretense, the sum of three million naira. Nwankwo whose residential address was not provided is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and attempt to pervert justice. He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecutor, Insp Donjour Perezi, told the court that the defendant on April 7, at SIB Office, Area ‘H’ Police Command, Ogudu, Lagos, prevented the police from carrying out their duties by failing to produce Okoro when needed. Perezi said that the defendant at the station allegedly entered a bond and stood surety for Okoro, a New Zealand visa procurement agent now at large. He said that the offence is centered on unlawful possession and obtaining by false pretense the sum of three million naira. ”The defendant promised to produce Okoro at SIB Area ‘H’ Police command anytime his attention was needed till the case would be finally disposed of but failed to do so,” Perezi said. The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 97(1) (3) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Subsection 3 of the section states that anyone found guilty of obstruction, prevention or perversion of justice is liable to imprisonment for two years. The Magistrate, Mrs M.O Tanimola admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum. She said that the sureties must provide evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government. Tanimola adjourned the case until Nov. 13 for trial. (NAN)

Heck to the heck yes! Trucy’s Irish accent would definitely be more prominent due to her upbringing. Apollo’s on the other hand, would definitely be more watered down, being raised in Khura’in and all. It’s still there, and his Irish ancestry still exists, but he doesn’t even realize it.
I would imagine some of the kids at middle school taking note of his accent (there probably would’ve been a few history and mythology lessons focusing on Ireland), and even the music teachers would often comment on Apollo’s singing voice, also noticing his accent. Granted, there could be other students with Irish ancestry, but Apollo’s is certainly worth more interest. And I’m pretty sure that even Clay would notice it, but the only time he ever talks about anything Ireland would be assistance on his homework. In the meanwhile, Apollo listens to a lot of Irish music in his spare time (he won’t admit it, but he’s quite fond of the Dubliners and several songs like David Garrett’s Celtic Rondo and Ricky Skaggs’ Crossing the Briney), and occasionally practices playing the fiddle.
When Klavier first finds out about Apollo’s faint accent, he gets into such a tizzy just trying to figure it out. He falters a bit during his statements, tries his hardest not to break down in court, and it eventually reaches a point where he has to get into a long air guitar session to calm himself down. Apollo is confused at first since it’s not really in Klavier’s nature to get so uppity about it, but he soon finds to be funny as hell because finally! He’s got something that he can use to annoy that glimmerous fop! Henceforth, he keeps up his fiddling skills and speaks in that faint Irish accent of his to annoy Klavier further. Trucy and Ema would definitely get confused over this while Phoenix just finds the whole scenario amusing to watch. Klavier, in an effort to uncover the truth behind that mystery accent, decides to ask Polly out for dinner. The Polly O’Justice is flabbergasted at first, but accepts the offer. The date goes pretty well, but during the time together Klavier completely forgets his little quest and before either of them realize it, they end up smooching in front of the entire restaurant (Klavier made the first move!) In his shock, Klavier stumbles a bit and attempts to apologize, but Apollo, red as a rose, flees the scene. However, the two of them eventually make up for the mess when Apollo decides to take Klavier out to his favourite seafood restaurant the next evening. Again, they have a good time, but Klavier forgets that he’s trying to figure out Apollo’s accent and just gets even more attracted to the man himself.
Time passes as Apollo keeps up his advantage over Klavier’s constant frustration, finding it adorable to see the normally calm prosecutor lose his marbles over one little thing that he doesn’t even know about himself. Finally, Klavier takes Apollo out to an Irish pub with a little karaoke corner for people to sing their favourite Irish songs. Apollo orders himself a mug of whiskey, much to Klavier’s surprise (who ordered a glass of water instead), yet the glimmerous fop sees this as his last chance to solve that mystery behind Apollo’s accent. Polly downs the entire mug, then fumbles over to the karaoke corner. Sure enough, his song of choice ends up being the Dubliners’ “The Wild Rover”. Klavier jumps on the chance to sing the song as part of a duet, which Apollo agrees despite having sung it solo several times before. Despite Apollo’s drunken state, a single mug of whiskey proves to be not enough to mask the serene singing voice he inherited from his mother, thus exposing his accent. The serenity from it breaks Klavier out of his trance, but he doesn’t break out of song until after it’s over. After the applause, Klavier turns to Apollo and comments on how Polly sounds just like Lamiroir. Apollo, realizing the jig is up, simply curls up in the fetal position and internally curses himself as Klavier laughs softly and gives him a gentle pat on the back.
This post has already gone on long enough, so I’m just gonna end it off with this quick little pic of the Gramarye sibs:

Ghost Trick ;P Or Ace Attorney (Or both, both is good~)
I had to read this several times, go to bed, wake up, and read it again to realize that you were sending this for the ask meme I reblogged X”D I reblog those for you guys to use, but hey, I’ll bite ;) (Under a cut because it’s gonna be LONG)
My favorite parent-child relationship
Hmm... for Ghost Trick I guess I liked the Justice Minister and Amelie! Poor guy goes through so much stress :(
For AA it,, is DEFINITELY Apollo and Phoenix,,, listen Phoenix adopted Trucy and that makes him Apollo’s dad and you cannot tell me otherwise >:((( also Spirit of Justice was my first game so I’m biased
My favorite sibling relationship
There are no blood sibs in GT and I honestly classify most relationships as friendships or something else? But Missile and Sissel are sibling-ish, post-game at least. Missile is the dumb but sweet little brother who Sissel makes fun of but ONLY SISSEL CAN MAKE FUN OF HIM, IF ANYONE ELSE DOES IT THEY DIE AND DON’T GET BROUGHT BACK >:(
And for AA, Trucy and Apollo for sure!! Remember how SoJ was my first game? The scene where Dhurke unknowingly ships Trucy and Apollo, I literally said “huh, they feel more like siblings to me, dunno why tho”however as far as UNhealthy relationships go, I wish Capcom would hint more at Klavier’s presumed dark past with Kristoph because OUCH
My favorite family relationship (other)
SISSEL AND LYNNE SISSEL AND LYNNE SISSEL AND LYNNE, look there are no words in the English language to describe what I think their bond is like, they’re kinda siblings but kinda best friends but kinda partners in crime/crime-busting and I could go on for hours--
With AA, definitely Pearl and Maya’s cousinhood!!! I have a little cousin who reminds me so much of Pearl in how absolutely loving and devoted she is; listen if you don’t have a small child who thinks you’re the coolest person on earth then I pity you because it’s the biggest confidence booster and motivation to be a better person
My favorite friendship between two people
If I can’t do Sissel and Lynne again, I have to give some love to Missile and Kamila. Again, I don’t know if you could call what they have exactly a “friendship?” More of a master-servant relationship? But they are so good... Missile loves his Lady so much...
My favorite AA friendship is a tie between Phoenix & Edgeworth and Klavier & Apollo!! (Basic, I know.) But I honestly see them as such DIFFERENT dynamics so it’s basically impossible to compare the two? I write more for Apollo and Klavier, but that’s because 1) they’re my favs, character-wise and 2) there’s already at least SOME good platonic content for Phoenix and Edgeworth.
My favorite friendship between a group
Oh gosh this one is hard... but I love Sissel, Lynne, and Missile, particularly if/when they’re all dead together. There’s something intimate about a group that can only communicate amongst itself.
THE WRIGHT ANYTHING AGENCY... again, maybe I’m just biased because I played the second trilogy first, but I honestly love the Dual Destinies crew more than any teams in the OG trilogy! However, the dream team of Klavier, Ema, and Apollo will also always hold a special place in my heart ;-; (The WAA is basically the healthy happy family, whereas the dream team is three salty friends just letting themselves be dumb kids amongst a slew of murders and backstory angst)
My favorite mentorship
Cabenala and Lynne!! Cabenala is such a weird uncle type but he’s so good. Of course, there’s also Jowd... gee Lynne why does Tamuki let you have TWO mentors :’)
Apollo and Phoenix again, obviously, but ALSO Edgeworth and Sebastian!! Edgeworth makes fun of Phoenix for adopting all his employees but then turns around and takes Kay, Sebastian, John, and Klavier to Gatewater Land on a “business trip”
someday I will find a mentorship that doesn’t double as a parenthood but that day is not today
My favorite rivalry
ALSO SISSEL AND LYNNE... are you seeing a pattern...But seriously, how did Shu Tamuki fit that many relationships into one pairing, I am shooketh beyond compare... I screamed whenever they’d say stuff like “not a partnership, but let’s agree to ‘use each other’” like that is some BIG TIME SLOW BURN right there
(looks at the main defense attorneys & prosecutors aGAIN) ((sweats)) are you sEEing a pAttErN,,,Okay but for the sake of deviating a little, and also being more accurate to the textbook definition of a “rivalry,” Edgeworth and Lang are FANTASTIC. Lang’s overall distrust of the law, and Edgeworth growing so fully into the path that he’s chosen in life, are both written so excellently that when you throw them at each other the tension is already there like TWO CASES IN.
My favorite hatred/antipathy
Yomiel is such a cool character and the most scream-worthy villain reveal ever. So I gotta say, probably him and Cabenala, because when *THAT SCENE* happened I thought I’d never breathe again.
SHELLY DE KILLER AND DOGEN... MY WORD... I screamed sO LOUDLY when they faced off because I’d literally just predicted that one of those two characters would die and that scene felt like the nail in the coffin. Lawful evil characters are some of my problematic favorites, so two of them in one game (not to mention you-know-who) was enough to give me a heart attack.
My favorite potential relationship between characters who never talk in canon
I don’t remember if Amelie and Kamila actually do talk in canon...? I think they mention being friends, at least? But in my heart they are already best friends with a rich girl-poor girl dichotomy and they like to play dolls and probably torment their pets with dress-up :’)
Klavier and Blackquill are such a good platonic rarepair, but I’m just happy that I’ve seen platonic content for them at all?? Especially since both characters are such ports in the AA fandom l”D But yeah, I think they’d have a great dynamic. Actually there are a lot of potential Klavier friendships (Athena, Sebastian, Edgeworth as a mentor) that canon will never give us bECAUSE KLAVIER IS CAPCOM’S LEAST FAVORITE CHILD >:”(

if you hadn’t noticed im on a chris kick SO i posted some notes about him on twitter but im gonna repost em here so i can keep them somewhere i can actually find them and maybe expand a little on em if i think of a thing
Tbh I just want to see how my usually very friendly and optimistic boy reacts when he's in that situation hm he's not exactly fresh faced or anything bc he's been a prosecutor for like 6 years anyway but like never in a place like that and he's almost certainly bitten off more than he can chew but he's a stubborn fuck that likes justice so he's not gonna quit too early even if he feels like it but he IS gonna get frustrated with people a lot especially the police department tho if he interacts with them on a personal level past 'hey I'm gonna need these reports, records and statements pls' he'll be a little more conflicted. MOST of the police force is incompetent obviously. Tho hes gonna get real salty if too many things go missing.
I think he'll get over the fear kinda quickly of working as a da in such a shitty place and just be tired.... until someone threatens him bc he is gonna be trying to prosecute them in a trial and they know big scary people that'll fuck him up if they lose but I think that someone having their morals brought into question like this is interesting?? He us usually big on dangerous people going to jail but he has to weigh up his morals vs his own safety and is he really that dedicated?? Tbh I can see him doing it once after someone managed to shake him up real good and either realising that it's wrong mid trial and suddenly being like no this is wrong and going through with trying to prosecute them or just having that epiphany and guilt post trial that damn he'll never do that again.... but if he does get super shaken up again he might have to go through that again laughs he's a good lawful good boy but he also doesn't want to die
Anyway on a less serious moral fibre note: hid sibs tease him when he's too hot but then Chris n em both tease lykke when she gets too cold her leafy ass hates the cold but she loves the sunlight a lot and em.... has a high heat tolerance n is a walking heater in winter Chris and lykke are both jealous and afraid of her constant temperature handling
I also feel like the last da left Chris a lot of shit to do so he's just drowning in paper work more than usual for the first few weeks n he probably slept in his office when he didn't need to talk to anyone important or be on local TV or appear in court..... he's just so tired and there's so much to do catch him at Starbucks at 5am getting the strongest coffee he can. probably iced coffee for his frosty ass
Thinking about it he probably has a fairly thick accent but he'll try and tone it down when he's talking to people but when he's frustrated or tired it's thick as hell and very obviously southern
