friendly reminder that sasuke was the one to push teamwork with team 7, he is the one who risked his entire career just to feed naruto. he is so empathic and loving. ppl want to believe that he is selfish when his whole character is built from his love for his family and clan and like i’m not saying that everybody should love him because everyone has their own personal taste but? don’t lie?

incredible how kishimoto repeatedly asserts that naruto and itachi chose sasuke over the village, when in fact the exact opposite is true. itachi tortured him, took away his entire commmunity, tried to brainwash him. naruto's grand solution was murder-suicide and even after learning the truth about the massacre, he still wanted to be hokage and was confused by sasuke's refusal to forgive and return. they both aligned themselves with the village, but the simple act of performative love for sasuke is enough (according to kishimoto and konoha) for them to be considered exceptionally pacifistic, self-sacrificing characters who defied the village. it's such a fucked moral standard that offers zero compassion to the real victim of the situation: sasuke

the irony of people accusing Sasuke of being a used as a pawn when in reality Sasuke is like the anti-pawn of all people. Listen to the narrative Konoha was feeding him? heck no, he left. Be blinded by the name of "friendship" and forget about his goals? forget about it. Get turned into a glorified container by the snake sage? was never that stupid Actually join in the cause of Akatsuki? (bc he was planning to use them, remember) don't make me laugh. you get the idea. The only person, I repeat the only person that ever succeeded in "using" (manipulating, I guess) Sasuke really was Itachi. And how rightfully fitting. In a world that was trying to use all the Uchiha and brainwash them and neutralize them and lull them into silence it's fitting that the only people that ever came remotely close to succeeding with Sasuke was literally another Uchiha.

Alright, quick rambling because you lot keep, to this day, misreading panels of a manga aimed at teenagers:
No. Sasuke never doubted his path. No, Sasuke never thought about quitting his revenge. No, Sasuke was never "considering" forfeiting or letting Itachi go. No. No. No.
Sasuke, at most, doubted whether to leave or not Konoha (and his friends, Naruto and Sakura) behind -yet there was NO DOUBT in his mind about carrying out his revenge, once Kakashi (the genius), told him to "quit seeking revenge", there was almost no reason for Sasuke to stay, as the man who was teaching him to (again) fulfill his goal, something he specified he was aiming for on their very first meeting and the thing that pushed him to go further; suddenly told him to forget it -to focus on something else.
Naruto and Sakura made him doubt whether to seek help outside Konoha's framework, yet there was never any single indication that he was actually rethinking his entire revenge.
Learn how to read.

The conversation around Sasuke leaving Konoha needs to change. It's true that the in-story narrative by those who don't know Sasuke is that he is a traitor that betrayed Konoha. Unfortunately, too many in the fandom take this narrative at face value. But neither Naruto or Sakura endorse this view. Although they are confused by Sasuke's choice they both know Sasuke too well.
People talk about Sasuke choosing to leave Konoha...
But no one talks about how Itachi told Sasuke he'd come back to kill him someday. And Sasuke had very good reason to think that Itachi would target anyone Sasuke got close to.
Or how about how the curse seal would have killed Sasuke if it wasn't fully activated?
Or how Orochimaru made it clear he wasn't going to stop pursuing Sasuke? How long do you think it would have been till his patience ran out and he got tired of asking nicely?
Or how about the fact that he was found and targeted while he was in the village. The village couldn't protect him. Kakashi couldn't protect him. It's even the whole reason Naruto left to train, because the village wasn't safe enough. Naruto had people looking out for him. But Sasuke didn't. He is targeted multiple times and the village didn't take any action to protect him.
Yeah, Sasuke did make a choice. The right choice. He made the best choice he could make under the circumstances and no one-- not konoha, not Naruto, not Sakura--no one was hurt more by Sasuke's choice than it hurt Sasuke to make the choice to leave and live with one of his abusers. Yet he was the only person who offered to do anything to help him deal with his other abuser. It was horrible that Sasuke had to put himself through this second trauma... And yet the fandom has the audacity to make Sasuke's trauma about Naruto?? Or about Sakura?? Sometimes it really seems like no one in this fandom gives a crap about Sasuke unless it's to prop up their stupid ships. The fandom literally treats Sasuke like crap. Sasuke didn't leave because he wanted to. He wasn't being selfish or greedy. He just took stock of his situation and made the most viable choice he had. He wasn't happy that it was. He was willing to die for Naruto and Sakura. He valued them more than than his own life. Of course he wanted to stay. But he couldn't.
Ironically the fandom has compassion for Itachi for doing what he felt like he had to do, even though he actually killed people, and when he torments Sasuke, of course even then people actually focus on Itachi. But Sasuke did something that incidentally hurt Naruto and Sakura, do he's a selfish traitor. Sasuke didn't owe Naruto or Sakura. Yes, we see Naruto cared about Sasuke, but to Sasuke's face Naruto had treated him like he was a rival he wanted to overcome more than as a friend. And Sakura? He never started a relationship with Sakura. He may have felt guilty because he was abandoning his duty to Konoha.... the irony.
Sasuke lost everything once, and then he lost everything again when he was forced to leave it all behind. And it killed him. That Sasuke, the part one Sasuke who sometimes acted his age, he died. Sasuke killed him, so he could survive. It was yet another traumatic experience in his life.
That's the conversation we should be having about Sasuke leaving.

True Uchiha clan not that bulshite shown in the Boruto series so called fake Uchiha pathetic historically ignorant family( Sakura and Sarada who treat clan crest some sort of ornaments or achievements or trophy to brag about or show off for them without knowing its struggle and past history and how you get to wear it) or how the story tries to revise Uchiha tragedy and the oppression and racism against the Uchiha collectively.

if you get mad at sasuke for killing people (which um. i have news for you on that btw) then you have to get mad at every single other character bc the entire job description of shinobi is go kill each other. which means you have to get mad at what made them do that which means you have to get mad at the leaders which means you have to get mad at the leaf village which means you have to get mad at the shinobi system as a whole which means boom youve become a sasuke fan now

Taka Sasuke is the only Sasuke who ever existed. He personified FIRE. Destroying everything on its path to reach his goals.
He was Itachi's salvation
He was konoha's destruction
He was the protagonist's obsession
Taka Sasuke was full of passion and life. He was art. He was revolution.

ok but sasuke full on discarding his konoha headband, unlike other hidden village defectors who wear their slashed headbands proudly and almost seem to define themselves by the village they left behind...... i have many thoughts about this actually. the absence of the headband represents a complete rejection of konoha and everything it offers him. and then when he reaches oto, he doesnt wear his loyalty to them either, because he's already resolved to escape oto too. something something he's severing his bonds to the hidden villages, something something he's refusing to be defined by the people who want to use him, something something he's already lost everything but his chains

Claiming that Sasuke "hates women" is such a joke, bc he's maybe the only prominent male Naruto character who treated men and women like equals.
This post explains it perfectly 🙏🏻:
