While I totally agree with the complaints that Xanya as a relationship stifled Anya’s character and that it would’ve been better for her to break up with him earlier and that she deserved her own stories that had nothing to do with Xander/their relationship/their breakup and that she was a super richly interesting character that went completely unexplored because she was pigeonholed into “the girlfriend” like. Did you guys really expect a character who was introduced as a girlfriend to have meaningful storylines on the I Hate Girlfriends Show set in the DeadGirlfriendverse.

Yesterday we taped the sparring and today I got to review ithe footage. I look so damn silly, I would say more than usual for an adult tax paying woman whirling around a plastic sword. I do a lot of stepping in place idling, I overthink, and I get dragged in the mud of wack-a-lot stuff. I don't feel confident in using meisterhau-s with all the heavy and cumbersome protections on, so I don't bother. And I am so damn weak. If I had more power I wouldn't find difficult to wield the toy sword and overcompensate with much too wide swinges that leave me open to handsnipes. I want to get tighter, and I want to get stronger. I know power is nothing without control but I feel like a lack of conditioning is interfeering with my ability to execute properly.

That is to say, I frigging want to buy an iron sword to pick up in my free time and do drills with at home. I have the money, I can indulge in the purchase after 5 bloody years doing fencing I reckon.

GUYS! 🥺 I was at the public training of the dfb women's team today & it was so nice!! i loved it!

it was of course just training, but they did play the last 30 minutes & that was really cool! (on the picture it looks like there are no fans but you just don't see them) we had a really good spot for watching the training & afterwards the girls took about an hour or so to sign things & take photos which i did not expect at all!! sadly, most of them did not come to our corner but linda dallmann & lea schüller came!!! i also took pictures with them aaaah!! though i gotta say, it seemed very tiring for both of them but they also were the ones to make the biggest round to meet as many fans as possible.

turns out, i might be a bit too "nice" for taking pictures with "famous people". i did not want to be rude, so we did not shout for them.

theres also all the small islands out east and they have such loaded histories like theres plum island which has/had the fucking animal experimentation lab there and has been the subject of so many local conspiracy theories and superstitions and then theres shelter island which is just. a normal suburb i guess but theres no way to access it by car?? ive never been there for that reason i have no idea how you actually get there but well people live there apparently. and then theres so many other small scattered islands that are either private government property or like, actual private rich people islands. if you ever take the ferry from orient point to connecticut then you pass by all these islands in the distance and its such a surreal experience knowing that this is the closest you’re ever allowed to get to those islands and its not even that its trespassing if you were to go onto this restricted land, its that you literally have no possible way of even getting there at all so you’re entirely limited to those distant glimpses of them.
