maybe jadzia was down for all the traditional wedding customs of an alien culture not her own, eventually yielding to their demands on her pride, because the last time she loved someone desperately enough to commit in a way that cannot be easily taken back she was jilted in favor of said traditional customs (or, she simply was not enough to overcome their influence) and when she bitterly remarked that lenara "was always a lot better on theory than execution," she's exposing precisely how this separation from lenara lingers. maybe she didn't want a trill wedding not because dax had had several trill weddings before. maybe it had nothing to do with dax and everything to do with jadzia alone, hanging on to worf in a way that was impossible with lenara.
