The Chanel Haute Couture dress from the Spring 2005 collection was entitled French Garden, owing to Karl Lagerfeld’s precoccupation with flowers when creating the designs, the flora of each dress was entwined with the romance of the 18th century. This is the dress Knightley chose to wear to the premier of The Nutcracker And The Four Realms.

I was praying the rosary today (luminous mysteries) and the piece of scripture that was included when discussing the third mystery was one that really resonated with me: “The kingdom of God cannot be observed and no one will announce ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is among you.”

Richard Rohr talks about this, but this is the unfortunate distraction for many from the beauty and gloriousness of what is right now. There’s a precoccupation with the end of everything that totally obscures this moment of living, and they’ll say, “I do/don’t do this” or “I believe this because when I die, I want to go to the kingdom of God.”

No! It is already here. You are in it.

It's been too long

Wow I haven't posted in a while. I guess life gets precoccuping as an adult. So here is my general update. 1. I am drunk. Drunk blogging is the way to go. 2. I am now married to my soulmate Mr. Van Mook. 3. We have a beautiful daughter who will be one yearold May 28. 4. My ex-husband became a deadbeat dad so my new husband, Mick, has stepped in and Emma loves him. 5. I'm in my second year of teaching at a title 1 school and I love it! I've cried, I've sworn I'd quit, I've seen the system fail children, but I love my students I believe I've found my calling. 6. I'm going to Valencia for now to finish my permanent teaching certificate. 7. My end goal is to get my masters in education and my law degeree. 8. Eventually I'd like to be a school principal of a title 1 school or work in education legislation. 9. To reach goal #8 I'm going to get my masters at UF when Caity goes into kindergareten. 10. Did I mention I married the love of my life?!?!?!?
