Rafebarry from the POV of outsiders like the pouges and kooks who notice their relationship develop<3
doing this one out of order bc it called to me <3 the following povs include: jj, pope, kie, topper, and sarah!
side/minor pairings are jjpope and sarahkie
fic under the cut :-)
jj
the sun is hot on jj’s forehead as he sits in the passenger’s seat of luke’s truck, idling in front of barry’s trailer.
he hates these days. it’s never been jj’s favorite activity, coming along with his dad while he buys drugs with money they should be spending on food.
not to mention, it takes for-fucking-ever. luke tends to get real chatty after his first high of the day, and barry is the type of dealer who’s always just fucked up enough to allow it.
today, however, jj’s forehead is only mildly burnt when luke exits the trailer.
actually, he’s being ushered out by barry, who looks irritated in a way that jj has never seen before. though, to be fair, the only times jj has been around him are when barry’s high or when they’re trying to mutually kick each other’s asses.
luke is grumbling to himself as he climbs into the driver’s seat, fumbling with his keys. obviously already fucked up.
jj eyes him warily, before flickering his gaze back towards the trailer. he’s only a little surprised to see rafe cameron suddenly standing in the doorway with barry, looking like they’re arguing about something.
okay, maybe jj is a lot surprised to see the scene playing out before him. because despite the seemingly heated tone of their conversation, barry has a hand resting on one of rafe’s elbows. it’s almost a tender gesture, and jj has to look away, suddenly feeling like he’s intruding on something.
barry touches rafe the way jj touches pope. and that’s… that’s a bit much to take in, to be honest. because jj sure as hell doesn’t touch pope the way friends are technically supposed to touch each other.
it’s an information overload, and he has no idea what to do with it. jj decides to file the racing thoughts away for later, when he inevitably spills his guts to pope about just exactly what he’s seen at barry’s today.
luke finally gets the truck started, pulling off of barry’s property without even noticing the moment unfolding before them.
jj takes one last look at rafe and barry, crowded in the doorway of the trailer while looking at each other like everything around them has fallen away, like it’s just the two of them left in the world.
interesting.
pope
it’s a sunday afternoon when they come in.
they’re arguing about something, barry looking thrilled by it whereas rafe just looks like he wants to smash his head through the nearest window.
“you ain’t really fished, country club,” pope hears barry saying when they’re close enough, “not til’ you caught a gator.”
pope suppresses a snort. there isn’t a soul in the OBX who’s caught a gator and didn’t come away with a chunk of themselves missing, and typically always empty-handed.
not like he’s going to tell two dickheads like barry or rafe that. if they want to go get chomped to bits by alligators, by all means.
pope is curious about the nature of their relationship, though. it’s interesting, and interesting things never cease to draw him in. (see: jj maybank).
jj had mentioned a few days ago that barry and rafe have seemed… different, recently. ever since then, pope has wondered about it. it’s a curious relationship, so he doesn’t think it’s that weird that he’s been desperately trying to understand it from all angles.
pope also just wants to know if jj is right. if barry and rafe really do have a thing going on. because like he’d told jj, he’ll believe it when he sees it.
it’s not like jj needs to know that he’s been secretly agonizing over it for absolutely no reason for the last three days.
pope stays seated quietly behind the counter, casually flipping through a magazine without really reading it, glancing up every now and then to spy on barry and rafe.
they’re standing by the bait selection, quietly conversing back and forth. pope can’t make out what they’re saying, but based on their expressions, they’re probably just talking about bait.
that is, until rafe passes barry a certain kind of bait with a questioning glance, and barry accepts it with a proud smile. rafe’s cheeks turn bright pink, and when their fingers brush as rafe passes off the bait, his face takes on a nearly scarlet hue.
so, okay, yeah. jj was definitely on the mark. it still makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever, but at the same time, they seem to operate in sync. it’s almost natural, whatever flows between them.
pope watches them walk up to the counter, feigning wariness to hide his curiosity, internally noting that he has a lot of homework to do later.
kie
the wreck is unusually slow tonight. it’s a thursday evening, and usually more patrons show up, pre-gaming their friday night bash with a thursday kickoff.
there are only three families and a few scattered couples seated here and there.
that is, until they walk in.
kie can’t really say that she hasn’t been expecting this. she wishes she could say that, to be quite honest, but jj and pope have made it their personal mission to torment her with information about barry and rafe that she truly never needed or wanted to know.
not that they’re more than likely gay as hell - kiara doesn’t care about that. she’d be a bit of a hypocrite if she did, if she’s being honest. it’s the fact that they’re rafe and barry.
two people who’s fates the cosmos should never have aligned. if what pope and jj say is true, anyway.
somehow, kie hasn’t come up with any reason to doubt it. rafe is crazy, barry is pure chaos in physical form. she imagines they’re like a nuclear bomb waiting to go off, but she also sees how it works.
kie really, really hates that she can see how it works.
there’s another waitress working tonight, and she’s the one to seat the couple. or pair. or whatever they are. kie can’t remember her name - she’s only here for the summer, anyway. nevertheless, she has the inexplicable desire to drag the poor girl away when she attempts to flirt with rafe.
not only because rafe is liable to stab her in a parking lot or something, but also because rafe and barry are clearly on some sort of date.
she doesn’t know why, but after the waitress finally walks away, kiara keeps waiting on bated breath for more people to show up and join rafe and barry’s party. despite the fact that they’ve been seated at a table for two.
no one else shows up.
they spend the evening conversing quietly back and forth, their voices occasionally raising when they get into a little spat about something.
which happens about every ten seconds, if kie has been accurately keeping track.
not that she’s watching them, necessarily. it’s just a bit of a shock, seeing what jj and pope have been telling her for days play out right in front of her, in real time.
they don’t operate like the other couples in the restaurant, that’s for sure. or any sort of couple kie has ever seen before in her entire life. but pope was right, whatever flows between them is freakishly natural.
and that’s why kiara can’t stop watching. she can’t stop honing in on every movement - the way they steadily shift closer throughout the evening, first putting their elbows on the quaint table, scooting them closer and closer until they’re nearly touching, leaning into each other like they’re being pulled together by some magnetic force, unable to stay apart.
it’s like when kie knocks on sarah’s window and watches her come close, pressing into the glass as if she’s being sucked in by some invisible force, the same one that drives sarah across the room towards her, pulling her into her orbit.
kiara shakes her head, trying to shake off the thoughts. she really doesn’t need to be going around equating her relationship with sarah with whatever the fuck is going on between rafe and barry.
whatever it is, though, kie can’t help but note that it’s something light rather than dark. something almost like happiness - something she never actually thought rafe was capable of feeling.
but with the way rafe is looking at barry, their hands now linked together beneath the table where they think no one else can see, kie is starting to rethink just about everything she knows about rafe cameron.
well, maybe not everything. but some things. enough that her head will be full for the foreseeable future. all because of barry and rafe fucking cameron of all people.
what the fuck.
topper
“you’ve been gone for like, weeks, dude,” topper says, eyeing rafe from across the table.
they’re at the figure eight country club, having drinks (on topper, of course) and a light lunch. it’d been topper’s idea. rafe had merely reluctantly agreed, claiming he had nothing else going on today.
he’d sounded almost like he was pouting about something. now that he’s seated across from topper, he can clearly see that rafe is definitely pouting about something.
which isn’t unusual, per se. but it is unusual that rafe isn’t bitching about whatever it is.
to be fair, rafe has been different these days. topper doesn’t really know what’s going on with him at all, their lives having suddenly and unexpectedly diverged for reasons topper still doesn’t understand.
it’s not like rafe was his best friend or anything - the guy’s a dick more often than not. but they had been friends at least, and confided in one another from time to time. guy to guy.
topper still wonders what happened, to this day. he doesn’t think rafe will ever tell him, though. not fully. and that’s okay, topper isn’t, like, desperately interested or anything, but a bit of an explanation would be nice. even a half-assed one.
“i’ve had shit going on,” rafe finally answers, as vague as can be.
topper rolls his eyes. “obviously. come on, man. i just want to know what’s been up with you lately.”
“you mean you want to know what’s been up with sarah,” rafe corrects, taking a long sip of his beer.
and okay, yeah, maybe topper’s desire to get back in touch with rafe has a little something to do with wanting to know what sarah’s been up to. but he does want to know whats been going on with rafe, too. that wasn’t a lie. he’d just omitted some details, sue him.
“yeah, okay,” topper agrees, not bothering with lying. “but i’ve also been wondering about you, man. you just kinda. disappeared.”
rafe picks at his burger, before pushing it away with a sigh. “shit happens, top.”
it’s so far from an explanation that topper kind of wants to throttle him all of a sudden, but rafe doesn’t give him the chance. his phone starts ringing, and he pulls it out with a triumphant smile, like he’s just won something.
something he’s definitely very, very smug about.
topper thinks he hears something along the lines of ‘m fuckin’ outside you little shithead brat coming from the person on the other end of the line.
rafe just smiles wider, putting on an innocent look even though whoever he’s talking to can’t see him. “coming!”
listen. listen. rafe fucking sing-songs it. topper feels like he’s been punched directly in the solar plexus. his mind reels.
topper is nowhere close to catching up, but rafe is already standing up and excusing himself, saying he has somewhere to be and thanking topper for the lunch half-heartedly, not contributing anything towards the bill.
typical rafe.
topper latches onto that familiarity to get his brain working again, shoving himself back from the table and racing out of the club, tossing a few too many bills on the table as he runs out. he practically chases rafe down, tumbling out the front doors as rafe is crossing the parking lot.
rafe comes to a stop next to some guy on a motorcycle, and neither of them have seen topper yet, clearly. because in the next moment rafe is pulling off the guy’s helmet and kissing barry the fucking coke dealer right on the mouth, tongue and all.
topper almost blacks out on the steps.
instead, he steadies himself on the railing of the staircase, shouting across the parking lot, “what the fuck, rafe?”
the reaction topper gets is not the one he was expecting. rafe just grins like a shark, then climbs on the back of barry’s bike. he wraps his arms around barry’s waist, then he taps barry twice, and they’re speeding out of the parking lot.
“we are so fucking talking about this!” topper yells after them, his head still spinning.
the roar of the motorcycle drowns out the noise.
sarah
she isn’t sure what wakes her up at first.
for a moment, sarah thinks kie is at her window. she frowns in confusion, still half-asleep, wondering why kie would be here without texting or calling first.
they always text or call first.
when sarah sits up and looks over at her window, there’s nothing there. but she knows she heard something, something that roused her from her peaceful slumber.
there it is again. it sounds like a squeaking noise, like an old window or a screen door opening. a moment later, quiet voices, drifting through the vent in her bedroom.
sarah wonders if it’s ward, if he’s having some secret meeting that would be truly invaluable to overhear.
she scrambles out of bed, tip-toeing to her air vent and sinking down to her knees. she leans closer, then closer still. all she can here are soft voices - she can’t make out any words. whatever the conversation is about, it’s interspersed with giggles and gasps.
oh. oh my god. ward is cheating, he has to be. and wouldn’t that be such sweet justice? catching ward in the act of something he can’t deny? something that could potentially keep rose from continuing to feed his endless greed?
sarah stands up and races across her room as quietly as she can, poking her head out the door and looking around before creeping into the hallway. she quietly makes her way to ward’s office, stopping just outside and leaning close to listen.
silence.
if they’re done already, that’s pretty pathetic on ward’s part, sarah thinks. but then she hears it again, the soft cacophony of sounds, only louder this time.
sarah follows the noise, her curiosity getting to the better of her. it leads her straight to rafe’s bedroom.
she really should’ve known better than to open the door.
“oh my god! oh my god? oh my god.” sarah slaps her hands over her eyes, already trying to scrub the image of barry on top of her brother from her mind.
she just walked in on rafe. having sex. with barry.
sarah feels a little faint.
“jesus christ, sarah, would you get the fuck out?” sarah hears rafe snap, and she fumbles for the doorknob, slamming the door shut quickly.
she backs away in horror, practically bolting back to her room and flinging herself onto her bed. sarah grabs her phone, firing off a few texts to the group chat.
sarah: SOS!!! walked in on barry and rafe…
sarah: oh god
sarah: i can’t even say it
jj: were they? y’know
jj: like
jj: brokeback mountain style or
pope: jesus christ jj
pope: that’s disgusting
pope: ………
pope: but for real though were they?
john b: i’d also like to know
kie: you know what count me in too
sarah: oh my god.
sarah: i hate all of you.
sarah has the most useless friends on the planet, and the drug dealer is fucking her brother. frankly, she’s had enough for one night.
sarah tosses her phone onto the floor and puts a pillow over her face, drifting back into her blissful state of unconsciousness. she’s not awake to hear rafe and barry start up again.
thank fucking god for small mercies.

Modern Inheritance: Pray with Me? (Pre-Eragon short)
Modern Inheritance
Pray with Me
(Pre-Eragon, during Arya’s first decade with the Varden.)
They hadn’t made it in time.
The village was ransacked when the Varden’s unit reached it. Fresh blood soaked the dusty road where bodies had fallen, streaks of it marking the macabre path to the shallow mass grave the soldiers had the decency to dig for the slaughtered villagers.
Weldon broke the tense silence, voice steady and low as he called for groups of three to search each building and the piled bodies for survivors. For the woman to his left, however, he had other orders.
“Do what you do, ambassador.” Arya nodded silently as she dismounted, subconsciously giving the tired horse a pat on its damp neck. “Any survivor is a gift, friend or foe. Do what you can.”
That’s how it had come to this.
Standing between the splintered jambs of a broken door, staring down at the soldier propped against the far wall as he met her gaze with leaded eyes.
She had heard him. Picked the ragged breaths and quiet sounds of pain out of the ambient noises that now filled the village. Followed them to the shack at the edge of civilization. Found him there, bleeding. Dying.
The man did not flinch away when she approached. He searched her face briefly, eyes catching on the obvious points of her ears, before wandering back to watch as she knelt and silently checked the gaping wound in his belly. The buckshot had taken him right in the middle, the blast close enough to shred his insides yet not far enough to send pellets into his heart to quickly end his suffering.
Arya saw this all and more. Even if she attempted to heal him, he didn’t have long. He may have lived till now, but to call him a survivor of the battle would be a lie.
“Do you have wards?”
The man set his teeth and shook his head, the slightest twitch sending waves of agony radiating from his ruined core. And then the pain was gone as quietly murmured words spread a soothing blanket over his body as nerves were deadened.
Arya stood.  “I cannot do more. I’m sorry.” She turned to leave the wounded soldier to his death in peace, to prepare himself for whatever afterlife he sought.
To her surprise, and maybe his own, the man suddenly reached out to her.
“Please.” Blood oozed from his lips as his ragged voice wheezed out. “I…I don’t want to die alone.”
Arya paused.
All peoples had their beliefs. A lack of faith was a belief in and of itself. And though the names of gods and demons, saints and martyrs, worlds above and below all changed with time, culture, and the ones who held those beliefs…all believed in a dignified death. All held fear of whatever was beyond, even if that afterlife was simply a void and end to all things.
She turned back. Knelt beside the man again.
“There are humans here as well.” She gently tipped her head towards the door. “Would you like me to bring their Chaplin?” She didn’t have to say what the question really asked. Would he be fine with her here, in his last moments? A creature, a person, not of his race, one that he very well could view as a monster after the handful of decades since the Fall?
“…No.” He shook his head again. “Please…stay with me.”
Arya nodded.
“I’ll stay.”
The man turned his gaze to the soot–covered ceiling. Took in a shaky breath. “Do you have gods, Elf?”
“No.” Arya watched the thrum of his faltering pulse at his throat. She felt no urgency nor itch to leave him, only a calm as she bore witness to his final moments. Sealed away a memory of his face and voice so that, if none else, at least she would remember him. “…Do you?” She whispered back.
He coughed again, bringing up scarlet tinged foam at the corners of his mouth. “I never listened much. Went to the Shrine when Ma asked.” A twisted grin touched his lips, memories playing before his dimming eyes. “We always had a feast. Badan brought our crops through the winter.” He choked out a laugh, coughing out his words. “Made the work I did…seem like a joke.”
He paused, dragging breaths that seemed more water than air. The smile slowly faded.
“Rather be there…breaking my back for those crops…than killing farmers for this damned king.”
He tilted his head to look the woman beside him in the eye.
Reached out a hand.
“Will you pray with me, Elf?” His pulse was stuttering. “To Badan? For my family this winter?”
Arya stared at the offered hand, and for reasons she could not understand she felt her heart jump to her throat.
She took it. Folded her fingers around his and squeezed his hand in reassurance. “Aye.”
They bowed their heads together.
Arya could not pray. But she could hope.
As she sat with the dying soldier she hoped that his passing was one that did not bring panic to his mind. She hoped that his family would find peace. Hoped that they would live strong and find solace in each other through the pain. Hoped that they would have a good feast that year, and that…that their hard work would see their crops through the winter.
She heard his last, straining breath. Felt the final throb of his heart through his pale fingers.
Arya took the time to show him the respect his comrades had not. Laid him back, covered his eyes with a shred of dark cloth. She left one of his tags around his neck, wrapped the other around his stiffening hand.
She left the shack and continued her search until the sun sank low and turned the sky bloody.
She found no one.
The dead, no matter their affiliation, had all been lain out in accordance to local custom in a new grave. The last shovelful of dirt was tamped down under the early stars.
Weldon gave the elf a questioning glance as she regrouped with the others, his expression grim when she shook her head in response to his wordless query.
The unit did not look back as they trotted off into the night, a heavy silence hanging on their limbs.
There were no survivors.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
The pavement was cold beneath his cheek. The gravel, sharp, and the smell of the after-rain, acrid. Jungkook peels his eyes open. They hang too heavy and the task seemed almost a century-worth effort. However, he’s glad he got his lids up because he could now see what’s in front of him. His right foot is stuck underneath the pedal. The windshield was broken, the spiderweb of glass fragments racing from the right corner. When he looks to his left, the car window is shattered. The car was toppled over. The pungent smell of gas is filling his nostrils. Something feels wet on his head. He raises his hand to his temple. When he pulls it away, there’s a scarlet smear on his palm. He’s bleeding.
Jungkook pulls the seatbelt free. He falls further into the ceiling of the car, grunting from the metal appendages poking into his shoulder. He pulls his torso up and starts to make his way out. His joints were screaming and Jungkook could feel his ligaments were tearing apart. His right arm is numb even if there are huge glass shards impaled in his skin. But Jungkook keeps on, dragging his skin across the sharp gravelly road. One after another, he elbows his way away from the wrecked-down car seat. But his upper limbs were not enough to pull his foot free from the crushed console. Jungkook grunts.
              And then, there’s a siren.
Jungkook turns to his left. Tires screech on the rough road. A blue sedan swivels and parks right in front of him. Lights sweep on the ground. Jungkook feels it’s similar to the lights that are being reflected by the broken windshield. He couldn’t see much but he feels he’s being blinded.
The car door slams shut. A figure is moving towards him. Jungkook squints his eyes but he cannot see any face. The blood running down his temple must have streamed down to his pupils. All he sees right now is red.
Loose gravels crunch under leather soles. The figure hovers above him. And then Jungkook feels his torso being lifted, his legs dangling lifelessly beneath him. He feels a strong pull on his shoulder and then there’s a tug. His stuck foot is now free.
The unknown man sets him inside the passenger side. Soon, he’s sitting in the driver’s seat. He pulls away from the car wreckage on the road. And then, he looks at him.
“Don’t worry. It’s alright. You’re alright. I’ll get you help.”
Jungkook looks at the man. He starts to see a glimpse of sandy blonde hair in a pompadour, a small button nose, and a pointed jaw. But they’re not enough to recognize him when red still fills the large expanse of his vision.
The man pushes the stick to the second gear. “I’m Kim Namjoon.”
              “Wh-who?”
              “Namjoon.” A beat. “Your bestfriend.”
              “My bestfriend?”
“Yeah,” Namjoon turns his eyes back on the road. “You’ll remember me once we get to the hospital. Now, just sit and rest.”
Tumblr media
A bright light is directed to his eyes. It’s so bright he couldn’t tell if it’s even white. But at least, it’s no longer red.
“His eyes are alright,” a woman in her late forties informs. She’s wearing a pristine white coat over a green set of shirt and pants. Jungkook thinks he must be now in a hospital. He doesn’t remember exactly when he woke up. All he recalls from the past minutes is the blinding light and the piercing stench of iodoform.
“Thank God,” a deep voice says. Jungkook looks to his left and he sees the man who picked him up. Now that everything seems more illuminated now, he could see the familiar curve of the man’s smile. His droopy eyes, tall frame, long limbs, and even the small indent of dimples on his skinny cheeks. It really is Namjoon.
The doctor nods. “Yeah, he got lucky. Just a few cuts, scratches, and bruises. Even if his right foot was stuck in the vehicle, not one ligament was damaged, lest pulled. He would be walking like normal once he gets enough rest.” The woman looks at him, “But he has an arm to tend to. He needs to get it bandaged and cleaned from time to time.”
Jungkook follows the doctor’s gaze onto his arm. A thick white gauze covers the skin from his wrist to his elbow.
“It’s not much of a worry,” Namjoon smiles. “He lives with me. He’s in safe hands.”
The doctor pulls her lips in a relieved smile. “Glad to know that. He’ll need someone to help him clean it. The wound was not too deep but it’s pretty stretched wide. We gave him 15 stitches.” The door tucks her clipboard beneath her elbow. “Have him back here after two weeks. We have to get the stitches out.”
“Okay, doc,” Namjoon nods and sends the woman a grateful smile.
“Okay. I’ll leave you here with him, then. He just needs rest, then he can go home tomorrow,” The doctor claps Namjoon’s shoulder. Namjoon thanks and the doctor finally pulls the green curtains close behind her.
              “Namjoon.”
Namjoon turns to him, scoffing lightly. “So, you remember me now?” The small smile that starts to grow on his face falls flat when he sees Jungkook pierce him with a questioning glare. Namjoon sits on the stool next to him.
Jungkook clears his throat. He looks straight into his friend’s eyes, “What happened?”
“I think you shouldn’t be worrying about that first. You need to rest—”
              “What happened, Namjoon?”
Namjoon closes his eyes, sighing in defeat. “Well…you got hit. Your car received most of the impact on the right side. It drove your car rolling over for probably how many times considering the wreck I found you in. You know, it’s a wonder you only got an injured arm, considering your seatbelt was the only one that saved you from the hit.  Your airbag didn’t work. You hit your head on the window but there’s only a small wound.” Namjoon runs a hand through his hair, “Look, the Organization will assign you to another car so you don’t have to worry about paying for the damages. After all, it happened during your patrol and the airbag was—”
              “Who hit me?”
Namjoon stops. He looks at Jungkook and then to his side. He keeps his mouth shut.
Jungkook purses his lips. “Namjoon, who hit me?”
              Namjoon keeps his mouth shut.
Jungkook sighs, “You know I just got the Winston assassination case back on track. This person is probably highly involved in it—considering I’ve made quite a scene about the warrants—
“Jungkook, we don’t know who hit you.”
Jungkook gapes. “Ho—How could you not know? Forecrime has high chances to be in the timeframe before the crash—”
“Forecrime was unable to predict the crime.”
              “What?”
Namjoon looks down at his hands. “Accident Prevention Sector reported they didn’t see any officer getting involved in a hit and run today.”
              Jungkook tongues his cheek.
Namjoon shakes his head. “Look, this is probably just human error in the Division. We had the same problem in the Johnston home murders and the Kim crime family drug buy-bust.” Namjoon releases a sigh, “I already reported what happened to the FJO. From what I heard, they’re asking to check into the CCTVs in Somerset Road. Where your car was found. They’re just unable to do so tonight because the maintenance office is already closed. They’ll probably have something by tomorrow.”
Jungkook nods slowly. “Under which division was this case filed?”
              “Precrime.”
              “Who’s taking over it?”
“Property and Crime Scene’s Mark Benson.”
Jungkook sits up straight. “Transfer him to another case. Hand me this one.”
Namjoon stands up and places his hands on the man’s shoulder, stopping him from further leaving the bed. “Jungkook, you’re injured. You need to rest for a while.”
“Yeah, but the doctor said I will be fine by tomorrow. I can go to work tomorrow then.”
“Yes, tomorrow.” Namjoon glares at him, “Tomorrow isn’t now. Nor will it be for the next days to come because you need to heal your arm first. So, let Mark handle this one. Plus, you’ve not yet closed the Winston case. It would be too tiresome to handle two cases at the same time.”
Jungkook takes Namjoon’s hands off him. “If some son of a bitch easily got away from destroying my car and putting me in this,” he gestures to his arm, “I’d rather be the one to catch him myself. Please do me a favor and put me in charge of the case? Pre-crime’s handling it. I’m a captain in Precrime.” Jungkook purses his lips. “This is just my hypothesis but the hit-and-run doesn’t sound like a mere hit-and-run. It happened at Somerset Road. It’s too coincidental to take place at Somerset of all places. The culprit must be backed up by some technology to escape Forecrime right under their noses.” Jungkook grabs Namjoon's arm. “This could even be Winston’s assassin I’ve been tracking down for years. He has a history of using technology that took advantage of the weak points of FJO’s system.  Please, Namjoon? You’re in the Bureau. You have jurisdiction over the divisions. You can easily convince them and get me to head the case.”
“Yes,” Namjoon hisses, “but I’m just an analyst in there.”
“You’re not just an analyst if Lieutenant Kim unofficially hails you to be his adviser. You helped Seokjin resolve a lot of issues between the two divisions. You’re personally close to him. You even got invited to his wedding.”
Namjoon blows out a frustrated sigh.
              “Does that mean a ‘yes’?”
“What else will it mean?” the man rolls his eyes. “You know so well how to rope me into your schemes.” He stands up and fixes his friend’s bed.
Jungkook leans back on the pillow, “Of course, you’re my bestfriend.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Namjoon drawls, tucking the sheets to Jungkook’s chest. He reaches for the remote, pressing the button to get the bed to recline.
              “Namjoon.”
The man turns to the captain.
              Jungkook smiles, “Thank you.”
              Namjoon could only nod.

The Federal Justice Organization stands in the middle of the Metropolis Complex. Surrounded by towering buildings of corporations and business centers, the Organization is only five stories high. However, it occupies a large 20-hectare area, the largest in the complex. With two buildings that wing at the sides of the main facade, the Organization envelops the economic hotspot of the city, seemingly like a foundation of security.
The FJO is a matrix of floor-to-ceiling windows separated by layers of metal and concrete walkways. Everything is visible to anyone who’s standing at the façade. Officers in their black protective gears rushing past each other, helmets tucked underneath their elbows. Detectives busy on their phones and stacks of case folders. Interns running high and down with trolleys of files behind them, some even holding coffee cups. Higher-ups in their revered badge-infested uniforms wearing grim faces as team captains follow behind them.
And from the main lobby of the Organization, Jungkook could see Matthew Andrews looking at him from the walk-bridge above him. Jungkook takes the lift in front of him. He walks toward the man and salutes. “Chief.”
Matthew salutes back. He places his hands behind his back again. “I heard about what happened last night.”
“Ah, yes, sir,” Jungkook mutters. He tucks his bandaged arm behind him. “Just a minor accident. The wound isn’t that deep.”
Matthew nods slowly. “That’s good to know. Though I still would want you to stay at home for a while to heal. You must still be in shock.”
“Oh no, I’m not,” Jungkook chuckles. “I’ve been through worse. This is just like a scratch. I can’t afford to miss a day at work. After all, the Winston case I’m heading is still media-hot.”
“You’re right.” Matthew looks at the bustling people in the lobby. “Work doesn’t seem to stop when you’re in here. Skipping a day is a privilege on-standby that we never get to use. Not when our work seems to follow us wherever we go. Right?”
              “Yes, sir.” Jungkook nods.
Matthew turns back to him, “I also heard the Bureau transferred your hit and run case to you.”
Jungkook gives a tight smile. “Yes, sir. I think the Bureau thought it would be best if I handle the case. I have a hunch it’s connected with the Winston case.”
“The Bureau’s lieutenant said the same.” Matthew steps to him and claps his shoulder. “I’m just glad your injuries are not that serious, son.”
“Yes, sir. Me, too.” Jungkook smiles.
Matthew steps back, sending him one last smile, “Good luck with the case, son.”
“Thank you, sir,” Jungkook bids him goodbye. Matthew heads to the central lift. He nods at him before the metal doors close, and soon, Jungkook is alone again. Sighing, Jungkook fixes the cuffs of his jacket down to his wrists and heads for the Left-wing.
The Precrime Division is located at the West of the FJO Headquarters. The Murder sector, the second office to be reached from the Left-wing lift. With a 150 square feet area, Jungkook’s office is wide enough to accommodate his whole team without them frequently bumping into each other. At the same time, it is still small enough to effectively work around their tools. Jungkook’s desk is set against the glass wall that separates their sector from Organized Crime’s. Meanwhile, his team’s desks are stationed across his, next to the glass wall of Homicide’s. A metal “chute” is built on the innermost right corner. It’s boxy in structure and looks akin like the previous generation’s take on a fireplace. Except, the opening of the chute is placed much higher, above waist level. It’s used for message coordination among the different sectors. East-west to this metalwork is a huge glass board, fastened on a wooden compartment-panel that broke the series of glass walls in the middle. Despite the space provided to them, Jungkook thinks it’s still less than enough when one case is enough to immediately fill up the entire glass board with open files, their office, with all the team members.
Unlike today. Jungkook plops down on his swivel chair. He thinks it is the first time their glass board is not filled to the brim as he flips open the file case of the Winston assassination.
Jonathan Winston was the Chief General of FJO from 2015 to 2031, renowned for his pristine-clean reputation in his forty years of work. With numerous foundations supporting masses of the poor working class, Winston was a favorite of the people. Especially after he busted out the celebrated pork barrel scam of three Department of Justice’s heads in 2025. When Winston aimed for a position in the Senatorial board in 2032, he didn’t have to worry anymore about getting re-elected for the following term.
That is until August 15, 2047. He was sitting in a restaurant with his family when at 12:30, a gun was shot and Winston falls face-first onto the table with a gaping wound between his eyebrows. It was a field day for the reporters. Assassination in front of numerous potential witnesses in broad daylight and yet no identity of the culprit was found. All the witnesses, including Winston’s family, have different descriptions of the suspect, producing different faces. FJO can’t even trace if there was a mastermind behind the whole crime because no aberrant paper or electronic trail was found. The crime scene was spotless of any fingerprint, and so are the places probable to be the suspect’s hideout before and after the crime.
This is one of the biggest, and difficult, cases Jungkook ever handled. For despite the extensive collaboration between traveling agents of Precrime and Forecrime, FJO only ended up with a gunman they cannot indict. The organization saw similarities in the Winston assassination case with previous cases concerning an elusive gunman with an unidentifiable face: Leigh Anderson. The style of murder, his long background of numerous violent crimes, his reported hate on the New-Age Government, his notable appearances in the vicinity of his victims before their time of death—it all matched up to be too coincidental. Even his known victims’ descriptions of him cannot produce one exact face at all.
However, all of these are mere circumstantial evidence to the court for no singular physical description, fingerprint, or handwriting of Anderson is legitimate enough to be presented against him. Even after FJO has adapted a state-of-the-art technology in 2051, the lack of justice in Winston’s assassination continued to bear heavy criticisms against the organization. No agent in FJO was able to get into the exact time frame of the murder to provide the most convincing evidence in court: a crime record, the FJO-validated video of, or any event related to, the actual crime.
Until July 12 of 2059, exactly three weeks ago, when Captain Jeon Jungkook accidentally got into the timeframe of the Winston assassination while traveling for a different murder case. With the crime record of the whole travel, the clear shot of the crime, and the full image of the gunman to serve as solid evidence, Jungkook easily got the cold Winston case back on track. He’s even backed up by testimonies of Leigh’s sister and brother-in-law who divulged that Leigh has a history of cocaine addiction and gang involvement five years prior to the assassination. But, these never lightened the burden of the case. After Precrime succeeded in placing the warrant of arrest on their long-suspected gunman, Leigh Anderson suddenly disappeared. Disappeared like thin air, without any kind of trail left behind. Off-grid even to FJO’s state of the art technology.
Jungkook pulls out the papers about Anderson’s history. He scans through the file.
“…Ms. Anne Rowanson said she heard Anderson scream in the floor above her. When she let herself in his unit, concerned, she saw nothing but sheets of newspapers flying in the wind.”
“…It’s like he’s there but suddenly he wasn’t there anymore. And yet you could still feel his presence on your skin.”
“He’s always been a strange man….talked about a lot of sponsors, but never once mentioning their name.”
“…got an affinity for cars. Said he loves to crash them. He has a history with notorious car-crashing gangs.”
“James Kim said he’s violent. He said Leigh didn’t show any remorse on his face when he attempted to run him over with his car.”
“…Heavy breathing on the other line. Traced the number to a device that doesn’t actually exist.”
When Jungkook flips through their other file folder for Anderson, he ends up with the same information. Anderson suddenly disappears like thin air so conveniently at his supposed day of arrest. He’s got a lot of anonymous sponsors from the black market. He’s violent and he likes to send anonymous calls to his victims who survived, only to let them hear his heavy breathing on the line.
All of it fits too perfectly with the hit and run case. Anderson is likely to be supported by a big body rich enough to give him technology for time-traveling that could be at-par with FJO’s. Anderson is a likely suspect to hit Jungkook’s car beyond repair, its wreckage too great to be done by an amateur crasher.  And, Anderson hates him. This Jungkook is sure of the day he announced to the media Anderson’s warrant of arrest. He called Jungkook’s personal phone that night to announce his identity and scream “I hate you,” “I’m going to fucking kill you,” and “you’re still two steps behind me no matter what you do,” again and again. When Jungkook traced the call, it all led to a nonexistent device, just like the statements of his previous victims.
Leigh Anderson must have used an illegal time-traveling technology last night, crashed right into Jungkook’s car before disappearing into thin air again, fulfilling his act of vengeance.
Jungkook clicks his tongue. He’s sent Hoseok Jung and Mark Lee earlier to the maintenance office of Somerset Road to retrieve the CCTV files. Although he’s yet to see the videos, Jungkook thinks there’s no other plausible reason for what happened last night other than Leigh Anderson’s doing. Everything aligns too perfectly with Anderson’s history to be coincidental.
The alarm suddenly rings. The light set above the chute flashes red. From the corner of Jungkook’s eye, he sees Jimin Park shoot up from his seat. Jungkook quickly follows suit. The metal doors open, the machine pushing a medium-sized red expandable envelope onto the receiving mouth of the Murder Sector’s chute. Jimin retrieves the folder and opens it. He pulls a chartreuse glass file from the envelope and slides it onto a slot on the glass board. He faces Jungkook. “Captain Jeon, red file, Forecrime, Future Murder Sector. Traveling agent in charge is Joanna Sy, crime record validated by traveling agents Steve Meyer, Ara Lee, and Nick Holbert. This is case number 5041. Murder by assassination. Victim’s name is James Kim.”
              Jungkook’s eyes widen.
              “The suspect is…Leigh Anderson.”
Jungkooks slides in his gloves and dashes to the glass board. The wooden compartment behind the board slides open. Two black screens alight to show a live video conference with a short-haired blonde woman in a maroon blazer and a man in his late fifties wearing a black suit.
Jungkook salutes. “Good morning. I’m Jungkook Jeon, captain of the Murder Sector of Precrime Division. This is case number 5041, murder by assassination of victim James Kim by suspect Leigh Anderson. Recorded by Forecrime Future Murder Sector traveling agent Joanna Sy, validated by traveling agents Steve Meyer, Ara Lee, and Nick Holbert. My witnesses to the crime record gathered by the Federal Justice Organization are Chief Justice Stephanie Park and Chief General Matthew Anderson. Will the witnesses view and validate the crime record at this time?”
              “Witness appeal granted.”
The glass board lights up and a video starts playing with the sound of honking cars in the city. The huffs of Joanna can be heard as Jungkook and the rest in the room see everything happening in Joanna’s eyes. She climbs up a bemired, dark staircase in some dingy apartment complex. When a large thud resonates from the floor above, Joanna sprints.
She runs through a dark hallway. The doors of the apartment are locked shut, save for one that’s situated right next to the door where the thud probably came from. Joanna slips in and scampers through the empty apartment. When she reaches the open balcony, she crouches down and hides beside the thick wall extension.
From her place, Leigh Anderson’s face is crystal clear visible as he’s crouched on his own balcony, body flat on the ground, fingers wrapped around his sniper. Joanna attempts to follow Anderson’s line of target only to land on an empty alleyway crammed between two dilapidated buildings. It’s empty until a man swings the door of a bar open and pops into the vicinity. Joanna zooms in her glasses. It’s James Kim.
Joanna whips her head back to Anderson. He pulls the trigger. Screams resonate from a distance. Joanna turns back to the alley. James is on the floor, head bloodied.
              The record stops.
Jungkook turns around, “Jimin, time of the crime?”
              “10:46.”
Jungkook looks at the time on the board. 10:16. They only have exactly thirty minutes. There’s more time. Jungkook hovers his hand on the glass board and swipes through the crime record. Joanna’s at a dirty, old apartment complex exactly facing an alleyway with two dilapidated buildings. He swipes forward and back through the video until his eyes are caught by something on the window. He sees towering, shining buildings standing on one side, smaller, dirtier establishments on the other, seemingly creating two columns in the open window.
Jungkook shouts. “Suspect location is at Middle Town! Get me a list of Middle Town apartment complexes.”
“Yes, sir,” Johnny Kim hollers, clicking through his computer. He dashes to the glass board and slides a grey glass file into the slot below the one containing the crime record. Jungkook nods at him and sweeps his gloved hand over the apartment list to bring them right next to the playing crime record. Jungkook pauses the record the exact moment Joanna assesses the empty apartment she hid in. Small studio type, gray metal balcony wiring, dull gray cemented flooring, and a huge window by the bedside, the large billboard of the Federal Justice Organization in a great view. Jungkook switches to the apartment complexes. He flips through them until he sees three complexes with probable ample view of the FJO billboard from their windows. Maria Residences, Sunset Place, Riverside Homes. All of them just stand near the billboard. He can’t tell if they are facing an alleyway. Jungkook clicks his tongue. “The architecture of the room, who could have designed this?”
Jess Thomson speaks up from her computer, “It looks like Danny White. He’s known for modern designs and his unproportioned large windows are his signature. His designs proliferated in the late 2020s.” Jess looks at the captain, “but almost every establishment in Middle Town has incorporated this style. White was the go-to man for middle-class housing.”
“Okay,” Jungkook swipes his fingers upward on the glass board, capturing a still-frame of the room. He swipes left and Johnny retrieves the blank grey disk where the picture was sent and hands it to Jess. “Check more details in the design and tell me what you could get,” Jungkook orders.
              “Yes, sir.”
“Sir, ten minutes have passed,” Taehyung Kim reminds. Jungkook just nods.
Jungkook plays the video again and stops at James Kim’s location. Black gravelly alleyway. Worn out buildings with cracking paint. The door swings open and out comes James. He is stumbling, possibly drunk. Just before Joanna’s perspective goes back to Anderson, Jungkook pauses the video and zooms in. James is reaching over to something that looks like a beat-up human-sized box. It’s blurry but Jungkook could make out a hand resting beneath the glass façade of the red box.
“A carnival ticketing booth stand,” Jungkook announces, “It’s an entrance to a small downtown carnival.”
“There are only two areas with that kind of vintage, cheap entertainment,” Jess informs, “Middle-high Streets and Holiday Avenue. But Middle-high is more of June Lee than Danny White. So it has to be Holiday Avenue.”
“Sunset Place.” Jungkook hollers as he zips up his protective gear, “The future crime scene is at Sunset Place.” He marches to the hallway, Murder Sector’s Task-Action head agents following behind.  “Taehyung, flight time?”
“Ten minutes. We’ve got fifteen minutes left, sir.”
Jungkook nods and steps into the clear narrow glass-cased metal lift at the end of the hallway. Taehyung and the rest of the agents occupy the rest of the compartments. The lifts lock shut and propel them down the building and onto the Task-Action Agency Office.
In no time, Jungkook and his team and a number of Task-Action agents are zooming on the streets. By 10:38, the wheels of their vans are screeching into a stop in front of Sunset Place. The Task-Action agents pile out and soon, Jungkook and his team are climbing up the staircase they have seen in the crime record. Two sets of the flight of steps and then they’re running onto the dark hallway. Some of the agents have positioned themselves in front of Anderson’s door. Meanwhile, Jungkook’s team enters the empty room where Joanna has hidden, steps soundless on the naked concrete despite the heavy equipment hanging on their protective gears. Jungkook raises a closed fist and the agents hold their places by the door. Jungkook crouches, inching nearer to the wall extension. He looks at his watch. 10:43.
Jungkook breathes out and peeks at the other side. Leigh Anderson is lying on his stomach, fingers poised around his sniper. Just like the crime record. Jungkook presses the button on his contact device. Leigh’s door bursts open and the agents rushing steps reverberate through the walls. Jungkook whips out his gun, stepping from his hiding place. “FJO, freeze!—”
              Gunshot.
Leigh Anderson is on the floor, slumped over his sniper. His head is blown up, blood splattered on the white tiles of the balcony, some even painted on the metal railings. A Glock 19 pistol on his left hand.
“It’s a suicide,” Taehyung mouths at him but Jungkook doesn’t hear anything.
He slumps forward on the balcony. His suspect is dead before he could even arrest him.
Tumblr media
“Here’s the CCTVs we retrieved, sir,” Hoseok Jung informs, sliding an ice-blue glass disk into the glass board.
Jungkook nods, but his mind doesn’t comprehend what the agent said at all. He’s reeling back to the scene at Sunset Place. Chief General Andrews telling him the Winston case is off. Open and left cold again, probably for good this time. 12 years of hard work all for nothing. Jeon Jungkook finds it hard to swallow. It cannot end just like that. Anderson is definitely backed up by someone powerful. For all God knows, that benefactor has supported a lot of professional gunmen and another round of murders will start just like Anderson’s doing. Jungkook told Andrews about this, even almost pleaded. But the Chief General only sympathetically clasped his shoulder and told him to let it go.
“The Department of Justice called and wanted us to stop and leave it open for now. Even if I wanted to go with your hunch, we can’t do anything more when our only lead is now dead. Let it go, son,” Matthew closes his eyes, sighing, “Things like this do happen. The Unsolved Crimes sector won’t exist if it hadn’t been the case…We’ve still got enough cases on our plate to handle.”
It’s easier said than done. Jungkook can’t just let go of the case he’s headed for 12 years. 12 years he spent chasing after a suspect they cannot indict even when everyone knows he’s the culprit. 12 years he’s been mocked by a disgusting criminal only to let him have the last laugh by getting out of the case the easy way. Leigh Anderson was just within arms’ reach. For 12 years, Jungkook longed for this exact moment. And yet all he can do is just let it go? No, Jungkook, won’t have that. He can’t just let everything he’s worked hard for go down the drain so easily. He can’t—
              “It’s not Leigh Anderson.”
Jungkook stops. He raises his face from his head from his closed hand. “What?”
“It’s not Leigh Anderson,” Hoseok repeats.
              “What do you mean?”
Hoseok pauses the video. The image of Jungkook’s silver-gray Ford speeding along Somerset Road fills the frame of the glass-board. In the right corner of the crossroad, is an incoming black Jaguar, its license plate too blurred to recognize anything but its first number “1.” The right corner of the frame shows it was 20:23:40, August 1.
Hoseok hits play, and the Jaguar picks up speed, colliding into the right side of the Ford. It sent the car rolling over three times. At 20:23:50, the Jaguar continues on and disappears into the frame. Another tape rolls in and a CCTV mounted on a post near the road where Jungkook’s car came from.  Just like the first one, it shows how the Jaguar crashed right into the Ford before driving away. The Jaguar drives off, continuing from where the first clip has lost contact of it. However, at exactly 20:24, the Jaguar completely disappears. Right in the middle of the road. Vanished into thin air. Caught by the CCTV.
When the next tape of another CCTV rolls in, no car passed Somerset from 20:31 until 20:46, when Namjoon’s car, a blue 80’s sedan zips through the road and stops at Jungkook’s car. At 21:03, the FJO has made its way to the car wreckage. Until at the end of the film on August 2, 11:45, the black Jaguar did not re-appear.
              “This…is not Anderson’s doing?”
“Yes, sir. Well, as far as this evidence presents, it’s not him.” Hoseok rewinds the video and pauses at the 20:23:44 mark. The image of the Jaguar is back on screen. Hoseok zooms in. Jungkook gapes.
There’s almost no one on the wheel if Jungkook were to quickly look at it. But Jungkook did not, and in his seat, he makes out a silhouette. Its face was hidden in the dark and some parts of its body are blurred out. Even with these, Jungkook could see that the silhouette is slim and has thick, long limbs. Totally unlike Leigh Anderson. Leigh was overweight and sported a huge belly and large flabby arms.
              “…What is this?”
“It’s the same question running in our heads, sir.” Hoseok looks at him, “All we know is that it’s definitely not Anderson.”
Tumblr media
There are three blue pills left in the clear bottle. Jungkook pours them all onto his palm and downs them all in one go. When he puts down the bottle, his eyes travel to the city outside, drowning in the heavy downpour.
The city looks the same. Streetlights remain vibrant despite the blur of the thick raindrops. Some buildings still have their lights up in this ungodly hour. The majority of them have long darked out, blending with the ravenous night sky. Only the streets stay lit up but that seems hopeful when he’s seen them flicker in minute intervals. A few cars pass by. Jungkook can’t expect it to be the opposite, though. The buildings in Middle Town stay short under the shadows of the distant ones of the Metropolis.  It’s always been like this. Jungkook doesn’t need to look at the window across the room to see the other side completely lit up by various apparatuses known to humankind. The difference between the Middle Town and Metropolis never fails to make itself known to him no matter how high their residence lies in the boundary.
The only thing that’s similar between the two is the humongous billboard that sits atop the crest of each district. Of course, the Metropolis had a bigger one than Middle Town. Nevertheless, they’re still one and the same. Jungkook could tell because it’s just 15 meters away from his place on both sides.
“In a world where everything seems to progress forward, there’s only one thing we hope won’t rush past us too soon. Nine years ago, various violent crimes have spread over the country in epidemic ratios. It seemed a miracle could be the only hope we’ll have. But instead of a miracle, we’re given a more tangible blessing: the time jumpers. When Allen McGregor and his assistant, Chisoo Kim, invented these novel devices that could let humans travel in the past and future, the Federal Justice Organization renovated itself and ensured the devices will fall onto good hands. Now with the ability to see the past and the future, the New-Age Federal Justice Organization has easily prevented crimes from happening and even solved the ones that have long scarred us for years. With just one month under the improved FJO program, the crime rates in the country have dramatically dropped to 95 percent. In a year, FJO has brought justice to every case left open in the 2000s and has prevented more crimes from ever happening. In the eight years, FJO has run their new system, there’s never been a crime that threatened the stability of our nation. The Federal Justice Organization, our nation’s salvation of justice.”
Jungkook tears his eyes from the billboard. They land on the picture frame that sits atop his desk. Warm brown doe eyes, short stubby arms, a bunny-tooth smile. Jungkook feels like he’s looking at a mirror. Bile rises to his throat. He turns the frame down. It’s not enough. Jungkook stands up and tosses it on the table containing his mess of papers and folders.
His eyes are burning. When he holds a hand over them, he realizes there were only tears.
Tumblr media
Jungkook places his badge face-down on the metal post. After that, he places his face on the monitor and lets it scan his eyes. A beep and the Federal Justice Organization’s glass doors slide open and Jungkook secures his coat on his shoulder as he walks in the lobby. When he reaches the main hallway, he’s met by the grim face of Matthew Andrews.
“Someone from the Department of Justice was sent over to take our system away from us. He’s in the Left-wing now.”
Jungkook quickens his pace. The Chief General follows behind, “Apparently, a time jumper was found messing around FJO’s system. DOJ traced it back to Precrime.”
Jungkook halts. Matthew continues, “Apparently, they’ve been studying about aberrant appearances and disappearances of a car on cam. A black Jaguar with an unidentifiable driver. Their reports stated it started on July 15—three days right after the media televised your warrants against Leigh Anderson. What bothered them is the Jaguar’s pattern of disappearances. It’s completely similar to the traveling pattern of Precrime’s agents.” Matthew sighs. “The DOJ is going to turn up FJO upside-down in the following days. They’re gonna check on Forecrime and they’re going to take over the coordinating system of the Investigation Bureau, preventing it from mediating any interactions between the two divisions. But most of all, they’re gonna target Precrime. Especially your sector. This new case seems to be connected to Winston’s.”
Jungkook’s eyes widen. Matthew runs a hand over his face, “From what I could see, they’re already suspecting Precrime’s high-ranking officials. Probably even of Winston’s assassination. The untimely death of Leigh Anderson is worthy of suspicion of an inside job to them.”
Matthew faces Jungkook. “You know the FJO has been hot in the eyes of the people these days because of the Winston case. A week from now, people are going to vote whether our new system is noble enough to continue for the next eight years. I can’t have DOJ flooring our system’s reputation, son. Moreso your very sector.”
Jungkook nods, “Yes, sir, I understand.”
“Jungkook,” Matthew holds his arm, “Keep an eye on this Yoongi Min—the auditor. Answer all of his questions. Let him look around. Satisfy his curiosity. But, be wary of him. DOJ hasn’t told much of how they will conduct their investigation but I think they’ve already got their men inside and it seems this Yoongi is gonna be heading it all. Whatever happens, good news or not, make sure to report them all to me. And if there’s any problem, ensure that we are the first ones to know.”
“Yes, sir,” Jungkook salutes. Andrews fondly claps his shoulder and Jungkook immediately heads to the Murder Sector’s Office.
When he swings the glass door open, he’s met by his team standing apprehensively around a man in his late thirties. He’s standing at 5’7, sporting platinum blonde hair, thin-rimmed glasses, and navy tweed suit.
“Red files are for emergency ones—murders of passion or unprecedented murders late detected by Forecrime. Black is for premeditated murders—first-degree murders. Gray is for second-degree, maroon is for felony murders. And brown files like this one are for homicides,” Jimin hands the blonde man the folder.
The man nods, opening the folder to skim through a past case. After a minute he closes it shut. “But you’re still technically arresting people based on a future prediction of your co-workers aided by human-made and -operated devices.”
“Yes,” Jimin acknowledges. “These are the revised legalistic methodology of FJO as per the advice of Allen McGregor and his assistant Chisoo Kim. They were the inventors of this system but before that, they were lawyers.”
“How can you tell the system they’ve created is impossible of making inaccurate foreseen futures?”
“They don’t make mistakes,” Jimin assures. “The crime records seen by the Forecrime traveling agents in the future are validated by other traveling agents who have seen the same outcome. There has never been a wrong crime record in eight years. Sure, there may be inconsistencies in how the crime was done with the one viewed in the crime records. But the suspects seen in the future remain as suspects and they will still do the deed one way or another. Plus, the suspects’ motivations were checked on by Precrime’s traveling agents.”
“But what if a suspect decided not to forgo the crime?” the blonde man insists. “People are complex. We are capable of changing our minds at the last second. Can Forecrime even acknowledge a possible alternate future where this person backed out of a crime? Does Precrime really look at all the angles of these motivations you talk about?
“Forecrime and Precrime do all of those things because of our belief in predestination,” Jungkook finally interrupts, reaching a hand out. “I’m Jungkook Jeon, captain of Precrime, Murder Sector. You must be Yoongi Min.”
“I am,” the blonde shakes his hand. Yoongi quickly draws his arm back. “I was just asking Mr. Jimin Park here about the accuracy of your system.”
“Of course, it is accurate. The concept of predestination assures that everything in time is already determined before it comes to actuality. What will happen, will indeed, happen.” Jungkook snatches the brown file from the man’s hands. “When Jimin handed you this,” Jungkook raises the folder, “why did you flip it open?”
“Because I have to look at it. The department—”
“Because you’re going to have to look at it,” Jungkook raises a brow. “The department instructed you to investigate us and it is part of your protocol to see through our files. You’re going to open our files whether right now or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. In the end, you will still look at them, one way or another. It’s a future predetermined by the system of DOJ.”
“Yes,” Yoongi nods, “but you can’t say the same for futures that are yet to happen anytime soon. In our field, we can only rely on objectivity. Factual evidence and observations. Tangible. And your predetermined cases are not any of those. Even if you check on them by having your traveling agents jump into the past.”
Jungkook sits on his swivel chair, “That’s why we conduct our arrests one to three minutes before the actual act of the crime to further verify if the crime record is correct. It’s called knowing an intended result. Doctors acknowledge them when they prescribe medications. It was utilized so because by facts, they—and we—know what will be the result.” Jungkook coyly turns around his seat, “Plus, we don’t charge the suspects we arrest with murder, but future murder. Its punishment is just a couple of eight to twelve years in our prison. A lot of degrees lighter than the punishment we have for murder, which not that we needed to say, was last given in 2051. Because as everyone knows, we stopped a lot of crimes from happening since our new system was established.
“But it still doesn’t negate you’re arresting people who haven’t done anything wrong.”
“I don’t even get why you need to question our system,” Jungkook scoffs, “Your department approved it eight years ago.”
“I’m questioning because DOJ is debating whether it was a good idea to have your program approved eight years ago. Especially when we’re possibly dealing with an inside job allowed by this very system.” Yoongi slides his hands in his pockets. Jungkook purses his lips.
The auditor pulls a glass disk from his briefcase. “Here’s what I’m here for.”
Jungkook motions to Johnny and the latter retrieves the glass disk to insert it in the bottom-most slot of the glass board.
The screen opens and shows a CCTV footage of two streets crossing at 5th Avenue Place. The date is July 16. The streets are almost invisible as it was cramped with a mass of cars just as usual. At 12:25, a black Jaguar appears on the leftmost street. It drives by for about five minutes into the heavy traffic. Then suddenly, like a blink of an eye, it disappears among the sea of cars. The time was 12:30.
Yoongi walks toward the glass board, “As you all know, the restaurant on the center-point of this CCTV is the same place where Jonathan Winston was assassinated. And there’s a black Jaguar here that suddenly disappeared at 12:30. The same time you timed Winston was shot.” Yoongi presses play again, and then a series of CCTV dated from July 17 to 31, shot from different streets across the city, at different times of the day. The only constant element among them is the suspicious black Jaguar which appears on the left corner of the frame, and suddenly disappearing after three to five minutes staying in the vicinity. It was almost like a glitch in the CCTV had they not been recorded in series with other CCTVs.
Yoongi pauses the video. “The person in the vehicle is obviously doing time jumps. Three to five minutes of in-vicinity before indefinitely disappearing—from what our records say, it all seems as if this driver is an agent doing the usual Precrime travel mission. Forecrime doesn’t even get to time travel outside the Federal Justice Organization Complex.” The auditor faces back to the glass board, “It all seems just like any Precrime mission until July 31.”
The CCTV shows the familiar curve of Somerset Road. The time, 20:21. A silver-gray Ford speeds along the road. At 20:23, a black Jaguar appears and collides into the Ford’s right side. Jungkook bites his cheek. It’s his hit-and-run accident.
Yoongi’s eyes sweep over the room, “Now, we all know this tape captured the recent hit and run the captain has been involved with.” The auditor looks at Jungkook, “And I know you’re currently heading this case in connection with Winston’s case. Considering it happened at Somerset of all places, the most electromagnetic-charged field in the country aside from FJO’s traveling area here. Meanwhile, Anderson is rumored to have access to time jumping technology. However, this record of the hit and run also serves as a crucial lead to all these suspicious random appearances and disappearances. Because right here is the perfect shot for our surveillance crew to enhance the license plate.”
Yoongi flicks his hand. The screen zooms in.
              1116459-01
Yoongi continues, “Although we don’t know yet where this plate leads us to, it helped us confirm this Jaguar is the same car that’s been captured by the CCTVs I’ve played. Most importantly, we found this Jaguar was seen at FJO’s Special Operations Building on the west side of the Metropolis, one day before the hit and run.”
The screen plays again and shows a record of the same Jaguar parking in the said building on July 30, 21:30. A man steps out and enters the building. After thirty minutes, he comes back and enters his car. He pulls away and goes back onto the streets. After a minute, it disappears again.
“None of the traveling agents are allowed access in Special Operations. They don’t have any valid reason in the first place because that building is reserved for the Investigation Bureau’s special agents.” Yoongi turns around, facing the sector. “And we all know that building houses the most advanced time jumping technology of FJO. Thus, the department has every right to suspect a high-risk inside job is on the works right now. This driver is obviously interested in Winston’s case and has easily accessed the Bureau’s building. What’s worse is I’ve heard your own system cannot identify this suspicious agent, just like ours.”
Yoongi walks around the office, “That’s why I am here to find faults in your system. To see what possibly could allow this break of protocol happen,” Yoongi stops in his step and pins a glare at Jungkook, “and why you should be cooperating at your utmost best instead of arguing against me, if you want to keep your program.”
The captain clenches his jaw. The blonde man smirks. His eyes look over the room until they land on a projected panel on the glass wall. “What’s that?”
“It’s the door leading to our central record room,” Jimin answers. “We call it the Memory Temple. It’s where we keep Precrime’s crime records along with Forecrime’s. As well as the blanks—crime records our agents have seen in the past and future but have not yet made sense of.”
“And no one has authority to go into that room but the Investigation Bureau’s chief analysts,” Jungkook says.
Yoongi turns to him, “You’ve never been in that room, before?”
Jungkook twirls his clicker around his fingers, “We like to separate the agents from the temple as much as possible so no one would be accused of tampering evidence. Unauthorized handling of the records can fuck up the collected memories.”
Yoongi turns back to the door, “So, that means I’ll be the first to enter it, then.”
“Did you not hear what I said?” Jungkook scoffs, “Only the chief analysts are allowed.”
“Yes, but if you’re talking about a question of authority—”
“Oh no, no.” Jungkook snickers, “there is no question of authority. You don’t have any authority.”
Yoongi tilts his head, “Well, I have one if I have a warrant ready in my pocket.”
Jungkook looks at the man. His eyes glance around the room and see the equally appalled faces of his subordinates. Taehyung looks at the captain, tilting his head toward the auditor. Jungkook snaps his gaze back onto the auditor, “Show me the warrant.”
Yoongi steps forward and pulls a folded paper in front of him. Jungkook spreads it open.
“This investigation is done under the direct order and supervision of the Romania Lee, Chief General Attorney of the Republic of Metrosia. If the Federal Justice Organization fails to comply with this direct order, the government has no choice but to implement a temporary suspension of three months up to one year,” Yoongi quotes. He nears Jungkook’s chair and crouches, leveling his face to the captain. “The Chief General Attorney has authority over FJO. I represent her, so I have authority over you.” Yoongi smirks, “I told you, you should cooperate with me at your utmost best if you want to keep your program.” The auditor snatches the paper and folds it back in his pocket. “Now, show me this Memory Temple.”
Jungkook grumbles as he begrudgingly stands up from his chair. He goes to the panel on the glass and presses a button, flashing a special ID of entrance for emergencies to the scanner. Another panel opens and Jungkook leans forward to let the system scan his eyes. The door slides open to a descending flight of metal steps. Jungkook starts downward, leading Yoongi into the Memory Temple.
The temple is dark. Its light source only comes from the bright yellow pin lights installed on the floor. Precrime’s crime records glow in faded sepia around them, looking like burnt-out stars.  In contrast, Forecrime’s crime records are illuminated in bright chartreuse, seemingly like new sprouts. Blanks dot a few spaces in grayish-white. Glass shelves shine in faint crystal blue as they line the whole room, forming a circular labyrinth around the central starting walking-space where the four are currently in.
A woman in her late thirties sporting a messy bun and a lab coat walks to them. “Uh, Captain, you do know you’re not allowed to go in here unless it’s an emergency?”
Jungkook holds up a hand, “It’s fine Rina. It is kinda an emergency. DOJ has sent their lovely auditor here to investigate us and he’s adamant about seeing the Memory Temple. We’re not gonna touch anything.
Rina nods. Jungkook starts to lead the way around, Rina trailing next to him. Yoongi looks around the temple. “How are these records maintained to be as accurate as they were first produced?”
“U-um, the temple is built with a special architecture that prevents the exterior environment from affecting the crime records,” Rina pushes her glasses up her nose. “The walls are made of Zonium, a strong, indestructible element that makes strong, fireproof metal that is used in the construction of other government archives. These walls ensure that the records will be safe if the FJO catches on fire, suffers an earthquake, hurricane, and any other natural disasters. There are also no windows here to avoid the sunlight from passing through and wearing out the glass files. Bureau staff here is just limited to eight analysts, including me—one for each sector of FJO to prevent any agents from both divisions tampering around the records for personal use. We’re also here to take care of the crime records and keep an up-to-date inventory of the ones that come in.”
“Is it possible to provide DOJ a copy of each of these records?” Yoongi asks.
“Oh no, sir,” Rina shakes her head vehemently. “The crime records are specialized to be impossible to copy. It has detectors that light up when it senses it’s being processed under a glass disk copier. When it lights up, the record immediately secretes a black ink that will render any memory corrupted to view. The FJO produced such specialized disks as per the advice of Allen McGregor and Chisoo Kim to ensure the security of the records their technology has enabled.”
Yoongi nods, seemingly satisfied. The three walk around the outline of the labyrinth, Rina explaining each aisle as much as she can to the auditor, Jungkook adding a few details of the cases that involved certain records. When they returned to the walk space they came from, Jungkook thanks Rina for the accommodation and leads Yoongi back upstairs. Once they’ve made it back to the office’s concrete floors, the door slides shut, the panel returning to its initial small projection on the glass wall.
Unlike the Memory Temple, Yoongi has complete jurisdiction over the rest of the FJO complex. And so, Jungkook ended up hesitantly agreeing to tour the auditor around the complex and explain the activities done in each office as per the auditor’s inquiries.
“Each sector in Precrime has a metal chute connected with their counterparts in Forecrime,” Jungkook drawls as he points to Organized Crime’s metal structure. “Agents place the files on the projected plate and the chute will provide enough wind to push it through the metalwork. Meanwhile, files are received from the plates with the central slit. It’s like an ATM but instead of money, it produces a legal-sized expandable file.” Yoongi only stiffly nods. Jungkook releases an exasperated sigh. His only silver lining in carrying on this tour is Jimin, Taehyung, and Hoseok who’s aiding him in doing the rest of the explaining.
The auditor only says his first statement during the tour when they cross to the right-wing: the Forecrime division. “There’s not much difference between your divisions.”
Indeed, the Forecrime division almost looks identical to Precrime. Their walls are also made of transparent glass, their floors metal-infused concrete walkways. Each sector also has similar gigantic glass boards with wooden compartments at the back to enable witnesses to view crime records during investigations. There are also projected panels on the back glass walls that lead to the Memory Temple.
The only difference between the two divisions is the special room Forecrime was granted. Unlike Precrime, Forecrime does not have a specialized metal lift that enables the agents to reach the Task-Action Agency Office in record time. Instead, Forecrime has a huge gymnasium filled with long “boxes” of time jumpers. From their position on the hallway, Jungkook could see their traveling agents flipping the lids open and getting inside these boxes. Jungkook remembers asking about how Forecrime agents travel in these boxes to his friend, Hanford Meyers. The Forecrime Future of Organized Crimes Sector captain said it feels like getting thrust into a VR-like reality at any point around the country.
“It’s like you’ve suddenly awaken into a dream. You don’t have any sense of where you are. You only know of the time. And what you’re supposed to do. Before they could travel, Forecrime agents are trained to have an immense focus on the points of the case they have to check on in their travels in the future. So when they enter the box, it just seems like they’re being led by their conscious’ voice. The rest, we leave it to Precrime. What only matters is to see the nearest intended future and the box.”
All Jungkook could think about is how wrong it feels to call those time jumpers “boxes” when they look more like the vintage tanning beds.
The time seems to pass too fast since they’ve been in Forecrime because now, Jungkook is leading the team down to the ground floor. It must be because it was Jimin who took charge in explaining the rest in Forecrime. Meanwhile, the mundaneness of the fourth and fifth floors of the Investigation Bureau and the Offices of the High-ranking FJO Officers look and feel too much like the typical office the auditor already knows too well.Jungkook reaches the end of the hallway behind the main lobby, standing in front of a metal lift. However, this lift is not like any other lifts in the complex for this one has black gildings around its edges. It also has a note on the button’s panel that says, “For high-ranking officials and Freedom Security Staff Only.”
Just like at the panel on the back wall of the Murder Sector, Jungkook shows his identification card to the detector and leans forward to scan his eyes. The lift opens and inside, he presses “4,” subsequently letting the rest of his small posse enter the metal box. Jungkook presses the down button and soon, they feel the lift descending into the basement floor of the building.
The light at the top flicks green. The doors open and what awaits in front of them is a long metal walkway that leads to the center of the floor. Unsolved Crimes captain Ryan Bergara passes by and salutes at Jungkook. Jungkook does the same and continues on, and soon, they’re walking onto Federal Justice Organization’s Prison Area.
The walls are not made of glass but instead, of silver-gray metal similar to the ones used in the Memory Temple. There are small offices that circle around the floor housing wardens and utility staff. But the largest office sits on the north end. It has a glass wall that separates itself from the main hallway and the rest of the offices. A huge control board is set up filled with loads of different buttons and levers. Sitting in the swivel chair in front of it is the Chief Warden.
Jungkook knocks at the glass door. The Chief Warden jumps in his seat and turns around. Jungkook gives a small smile. The warden salutes at him, smiling, as he presses a button that opens the glass door.
“Why are you knocking instead of using your card? Could have saved me unnecessary shock,” Rick snickers.
Jungkook shrugs. “I felt like not using it after seeing you being so attentive to your job. Why are you even on the board? You’re the chief. Where’s Martin?”
“Took a leave to attend his wife’s performance at the opera. Bastard’s living a fairy tale these days,” Rick trails off as he peers behind the captain and notices the strange blonde man staring too intently at him. Rick raises a brow at the captain.
Jungkook sighs, “DOJ. This is their auditor Yoongi Min. He likes to check out the prison.”
Rick nods and turns to his board. “Make yourselves welcome to the balcony.” The Chief Warden presses a button and a buzzer goes off. The door at the right corner of the board pops open. Jungkook leads the way onto the balcony of the Prison Area. In front of them is a sea of glass-walled prison cells layered on top of one another. Each cell holds one prisoner, seemingly fast asleep as they stand stiff, wearing orange jumpsuits. A couple of tubes are attached to their body, connecting it to a huge tank that sits on the bottom compartments of their cells. Looking at the prison, one cannot help but feel like they’re looking at a wall of coffins tipped face-front.
              “Your prison is—”
“Highly secured?” Jungkook turns to the auditor, “Yes, we made sure of that.”
              “No. It’s inhumane.”
Jungkook scoffs, “I-inhumane? This is inhumane?”
“You’re stripping these people of their freedom to act on their autonomy to as basic as being awake.”
“Well, they lost their right to that freedom when they’ve stepped on other’s rights to commit their crimes,” Jungkook takes a step forward. “This is just for temporary. We’re going to release them anyway after their sentences. It’s better to make use of the time and teach them what it’s like to have your rights stripped away from you so they won’t even have to think again of stripping others of their rights.”
Yoongi cocks his brow. “It’s still inhumane. Your acting almighty, dictating these people deserve it when you’ve arrested them based on mere human-made predictions you make a temple for. You’re not acting like humans. You’re acting like gods and that is inhumane.”
Jungkook purses his lips. His eyes glance behind Yoongi’s back and see Jimin, Taehyung, and Hoseok nodding to themselves. Jungkook steps out and looks at them. “You’re nodding as if you know what he’s talking about.”
Hoseok shrugs, “Well, he has a point. We’re exercising our powers determining everyone’s future and dictating what consequence should they have. Indeed, only gods do that and we are no gods.”
Jungkook turns away and sighs. “Go back to work, all of you.”
The three nod. They salute at the captain and silently make their way out of the balcony.
Yoongi falls in step next to Jungkook. He looks down at his shoes. “Sorry, it’s a bad habit. I find it hard to see limitations in my words.”
              Jungkook remains quiet.
Yoongi looks at him. “I know you must have great value for this system. Especially when you lost someone dear to you at such a tragic event—”
              Jungkook turns to him.
“—And now, the culprit who hit you is walking around free—”
“Cut the bullshit, Yoongi. What are you really looking for?”
Yoongi levels his eyes with his. “Flaws.”
Jungkook clenches his jaw. “The organization hasn’t made any flaw in eight years. Yes, there are some suspects who slipped past us and ended up finishing the crime. But we still successfully caught them in the end and exacted appropriate punishment.” Jungkook takes a step to the auditor, “Justice has been ensured at all times. The system is perfect.”
“Yes,” Yoongi nods, “your system is impeccable. But even if you act like gods using this system to its full potential, you are still humans. And humans are flawed. If the system is indeed perfect, then its flaws have to be created by humans.”
Jungkook stands still in his position.
Yoongi makes his way to the glass door, “And you’re wrong, Jungkook. FJO’s system has already made one flaw: that elusive driver of the black Jaguar.”
Tumblr media
Jungkook winces as Namjoon pats the last drop of ointment on his wound. Namjoon looks up at him then starts wrapping his friend’s arm in a fresh bandage. “From what I remember, you used to have high pain tolerance.”
“What do you mean ‘used to’? I still have a high tolerance,” Jungkook mutters, using his free hand to raise his mug of coffee to his lips.
Namjoon makes a particular hard tug and Jungkook freezes, stifling another wince. Namjoon tilts his head, “No, I think you do not.” Jungkook faces away from his friend. Namjoon hums as he tucks the end of the bandage to the captain’s elbow with a pin. He pats it lightly one last time and looks at his friend, “Something’s bothering you. Tell me.”
Jungkook sighs, “It’s just work. Nothing you need to worry about. The DOJ is already messing with your department.”
“So you’re also getting tipped over your backs by DOJ, too?” Namjoon snickers, “Great. We’re on the same page. Now, tell me what’s up.”
Jungkook puts down his mug. “Fine. Tell me yours first.”
Namjoon leans back in his chair, placing his arms beneath his nape, “So we’re doing the ‘let the worse problem win’ game again, huh? Thought this was over in college.”
Jungkook gives him an unamused look. Namjoon chuckles, “Okay, I’ll go first. Well, today someone named Chris Jefferson acted like a king and demanded all of us Bureau analysts to let him see our files and history of connections. Good thing I programmed my personal phone to be off-grid to any system or else Seokjin’s name is gonna start making headlines. But I’m still pissed. I had to reorganize my files again when Chris was unsatisfied with the mundaneness of our things. I don’t wanna talk about this anymore. I’ve already poured out enough when we reached our building.” Namjoon leans forward and clasps his hand together, “Now, tell me about yours.”
Jungkook’s eyes travel to the ajar door of his office. He shakes his head and turns to his friend. “DOJ sent their auditor to us. They’re suspicious of our sector because this black Jaguar that hit me is apparently been under their radar for a while doing suspicious things that seem to be connected with Winston’s case.” Namjoon’s eyes widen. Jungkook pulls his lips, “Yeah, I didn’t imagine it was going to be more complicated. I’m still sure it’s Anderson. I don’t have any notable enemies in and outside FJO. Only suspects. And Leigh is the only suspect that’s escaped from my hands. There’s no one who’ll have a grudge against me but him. A thinner man was made out from the CCTVs, but who knows? All we have is just a silhouette after all.”
Jungkook runs his hand through his hair, “But it’s hard to stand on that ground when that Jaguar’s doing the three to five minutes in-vicinity pattern of Precrime traveling agents. And this goddamn auditor has to stomp on all my pride and dignity and run everything in Precrime to his way while he preaches as if he’s better than anyone of us.”
Ugly silence. Jungkook looks at the hanging frame stand on his bookshelf. “On his first day, he implied my faith in this system was not because of my commitment to my job but because of…Daehyun.” Namjoon goes stiff. Jungkook closes his eyes and sighs, “I just don’t know what I should feel in this mess anymore because everything…is too much.”
Namjoon twirls his mug around his hand. “Has…none of the traveling agents seen this driver? Precrime and Forecrime?”
Jungkook shakes his head, “No. I requested Property and Crime Scene and Accident Prevention to do more travels four days ago and it’s still negative. I even asked Organized Crimes to look into this but even they can’t place this driver into their web of contacts. Forecrime didn’t see anything related to the hit and run.  We have his license plate but that is not much of a help because our programs didn’t type it as registered, stolen, or even a burner. Just ‘invalid.’ We’d never had an invalid before. We usually type in suspects caught by the CCTV as soon as one hour.” Jungkook exasperatedly runs a hand down his face. “I practically exhausted everything in the system for one whole week and I still don’t know a fucking goddamn thing about this driver.”
              Namjoon nods silently.
Jungkook looks at him. “Do you know something?”
Namjoon sends him a tight smile, “Something that could help you a bit, I do.”
Jungkook’s moves his mug away, leaning over the table. “Tell me.”
“Well, this is not part of our protocol. None of it is and whatever we may retrieve from doing this, we cannot use as substantial evidence to indict anyone. It can only go as far as a guide to use. But, it’s still worth a shot trying.”
Jungkook nods at him to continue. Namjoon grips his mug tighter. “Back when FJO is still running the traditional a-gazillion-paperwork-way, we at the Bureau have encountered countless of horrendous cases with unidentifiable suspects. Some of them have gone cold. The most notable was Linton Park’s 7 Capital Sins serial murders. 10 years ago. We were losing hope until we learned someone from one of our departments is capable of identifying the suspect without the help of our system. It was totally unconventional and we almost didn’t believe it. Everyone but Seokjin. He’s the only one who believed it and it was a good thing that he did. Because after he pushed this unconventional method for consideration, we gathered enough evidence to indict Linton. After that, all of our impossible cases were entrusted into this girl. She still remained to be my contact when the Bureau encounters records with people the new system is unable to identify.”
              “Who is this person?”
“Y/N L/N. She’s a sketch artist…and a clairvoyant. She can draw up the most unimaginable faces from a future no traveling agent can reach. Not even FJO’s picture-perfect system can penetrate the futures that she sees. What’s astounding is,” Namjoon looks straight at Jungkook, “she’s never been wrong.”

“Tae, I swear, it was innocent. If I had refused, they would have known.. I think they suspect so—”
Tae’s large hand tightened on your throat slightly, and you gasped, arching slightly.
“Kneel.”

You had just gotten hired by KimHit Entertainment, an up and coming company that had great talent of all kinds signed to them. They worked with multiple artists, rappers like RM and Agust D, singing dance duo J-Hope and Jimin (J2J), had content creators/artists like JayKay and Vante, and they were all managed by Kim Seokjin, one of the most famous vocalists in the world. He had decided to create a company to help others flourish once he felt like he had met all of his own goals.
While he still made music, he wanted to make sure to solidify himself as a top tier business man as well, like his father before him. He took over his dad’s small company and created a chaebol with his ability to spot talent and help it bloom. His brother had recently run the food services department for KimHit, but he had recently gotten married, so he was unable to do the tours for the next 2 quarters.
You had gone to culinary school with Seokjin’s older brother, which was how you found out about the company, and applied. Despite your love for music, your job however, had nothing to do with being “Talent”, unless you counted what you did in the kitchen.
“Carla, holy fuck, this is delicious!” Nayeon had just licked her finger clean from where she had dipped it into your batter for the dessert for the Talent. She went to double dip, and you swatted her hand away with the oven mitt you were holding.
“Yes, that’s why I was hired. But Gemini is coming down soon to eat, and they need to be fed before their performance tonight. A 2 hour set is no joke.” Nayeon nodded and backed away, hands up.
“Fine, fine.. I’m headed back to my station, but save me some please!” She smiled as she turned and headed to the door, her slim hips swaying as she disappeared through the swinging doors of the kitchen.
You finished plating the main dishes and began trekking them through the same swinging doors to set up for the meal. Each venue had a different style, but with tours, within the country, it was easier on you to maintain a routine. Traveling across the globe with bigger artists meant you had to go with them to each stadium or arena and cook with the kitchen they provided. Here in your home country, you could easily travel from home to work each day, prepare the meals, set up the spread, and relax. Others were hired to handle the clean up. You hustled back and forth, carrying out the now heavy metal serving dishes before the cast and crew arrived for their pre-show meal.
Panting slightly, you shook your head. How you were not losing weight at a faster rate was beyond you, but you liked that you maintained your curves despite the bustle of this job. Cooking protein rich and healthy fat filled foods helped you keep your more curvy figure. You were happy with your natural assets; you’d never had a problem filling out your outfits in all the right places, and direct or indirect compliments on your figure from the opposite sex had become the norm for you.
You watched the managers slowly file in, followed by the lighting crew, music techs, videographers and more, getting their food before running off to carry out various pre-show set up. They thanked you, happy with the upgraded meals they received ever since KimHit hired you.
“Hi.”
You jumped, not expecting the baritone voice to sound. Turning, you clutch your now racing heart as you take in a remarkable face—jawline that could slice the cake you had been placing, cheekbones that had to have been sculpted by Michaelangelo himself, and a toffee colored gaze that heated you to your core.
“You scared me!” you squeaked out, unable to maintain eye contact with him.
“Sorry,” his voice—as familiar as it was smooth—continued, “I just wanted to say that this smells… delicious.”
You shivered, sure that he was talking about more than the food. That he could smell the arousal mixed with fear as his predatory gaze continued to drink you in, tracing each curve slowly as if he could imagine what you would feel like if he stared long enough. Hard enough.
You attempted to breath slowly, knowing that predators enjoy the toying, and will chase when their prey panics and runs. You naturally responded to his movements, extending the chase when you whirled around and went back to what you were doing. You heard him take a sharp inhale, and inwardly smiled.
5, 4, 3, 2…
“Thanks,” you replied, barely giving him a glance as you straightened back up and made to walk past him. Pausing, you place your hand on his shoulder almost in a motherly way, though the way your voice had taken on a sultry tone suggested you were anything but.
“Let me know if there’s anything else you want to eat.”
As you walked into the kitchen, you heard him let out a low chuckle, and felt excitement bubble within you.
Kim Taehung, or Vante, was the famous photographer that KimHit managed, and would be helping out with catching still photo content for various artist’s within the company. Part of Seokjin’s philosophy was to have his talent work with each other, to build camaraderie across the different mediums as well as maintain wealth within the company.
It was well known within the entertainment world that Taehyung had an… eccentric taste. Once you started working at KimHit, you found out that it was not just within his art. He had been spotted by other coworkers frequenting Primal—a sex club for the elite to delve into their deepest desires. You and Nayeon had bonded over your love for Vante and his art, and she had shared this information.
Another stylist had gone with him once, and shared quite eagerly with Nayeon and the other stylists that he was definitely a dominating type, that he enjoyed the pursuit of his partner, and was essentially, a predator.
You had done exactly the thing to drive him to begin the chase. You responded to him in a way that caught his attention, and then tried to quell your prey driven response and assert yourself as unaffected. If there was one thing that was going to make him pursue it was the dismissive way you treated his compliment paired with a very forward statement. He wanted to know more about you, wanted to push your limits, to conquer you.
Taehyung began his pursuit not long after that first encounter and you played along, as he aggressively flirted, took you out on dates, and then, like a chess match, called his checkmate. And you were his Queen.
The only problem was that you were under contract with KimHit to not become romantically involved with any of the Talent. Tae knew this, and was careful with his behaviors in public. He maintained his stoic disposition when in company of others, but once the cafe area was empty, he was dragging you away before you could lock up. Tae was all over you, mouth ravishing your body as his hands took possession of your body, laying claim to every curve, tracing the swell of your breasts, the roundness of your ass, squeezing your thighs tightly as he buried his cock deep within your walls.
-Earlier that day-
Gemini, the girl group who had been on tour previously was finished with their schedule, and you would be staying on for the next round of artists. This consisted of the prominent male artists, J2J opening for RM and Agust D, who had recently dropped a joint album. These sets of performances were different from your previous tour in that they would be holding performances at the same arena for the span of a month, allowing fans all over the country to have time to come see them before the month was up.
There was just one catch to the good news of being able to work for a month without traveling. Taehyung would be leaving for a month to work on his own art, paired with JayKay who would be the videographer for his project. Neither of you were happy about being separated, especially since he was friends with all of the men you would be cooking for, who knew nothing about the two of you dating.
He would never tell you that that was his reason, he had never said anything about his friends talking about you when they saw you in the KimHit office cafe working, when there were no Gemini schedules at the venues in town. Or, how they lusted over your body, your lovely features, your soft and gentle manner, over everything that was his . Every predator’s biggest fear is losing their territory.
It wasn’t that Tae didn’t have faith in you, it was that he understood how other predators were. You belonged to him in a different way now, he had already conquered you in a prey-like aspect. You were almost akin to pups, cubs, or other vulnerable babies of mammal species. You were his. Call you territory, call you a kitten or cub, you belonged to him. And anyone sniffing around what was his... well it didn’t sit well with him.
The night before he left, he marked you, trailing merlot colored bruises down your neck, across your collarbone, accompanying bite marks to your chest, scarlet handprints staining your skin on your backside, small fingerprint sized marks showing his lasting grip to your hips and thighs, if only he could be sure that he had left lasting marks to your heart.
He was in love with you, which scared him. He feared you leaving him while he was gone more than anything else. More than you not loving him back. He could deal with you not loving him as long as you didn’t leave .
While you slept in his arms that last night, after that particularly rigorous session, he held you, whispering his love into your hair in the dead of the night, silent prayers that you would still be his when he returned.
Taehyung enjoyed his time traveling around France for the month. With Jungkook as his companion and you being on the other end of the many FaceTime calls, it wasn’t so hard for Taehyung to get through the month. He felt his insecurities subside a little more  when he called you and you answered. He knew that you weren’t in danger of leaving him.
You on the other hand struggled with his absence. Your body craved his touch, and you spent evenings touching yourself in hopes that it would feel like him, but it never did. The new talent you were working with  didn’t make it any easier for you while missing Taehyung.
J-Hope, half of the dancing duo J2J,spent almost the entire month flirting with you, relentlessly. He was handsome, tall, lithe; his body, moved in ways you’d never seen before until he took the stage. You loved Taehyung and had no intentions of cheating on him.  However, you missed the up close and personal attention you’d become so accustomed to with Taehyung, and you enjoyed the attention from J-Hope—or Hobi, the name he asked you to call him.
He shamelessly flirted with you nonstop, to the point that you were fairly certain Tae would be highly upset if he were to witness it. But it appeared harmless to you since your heart and body were already taken by Taehyung, even if no one else knew it.
“Hey,” Hobi approached you while you were finishing up for the day, catching you right before you disappeared behind the swinging metal kitchen doors. “I had a question for you.”
“Sure, what’s up?” your hands were positioned on your hips as you turned, and you didn’t miss the way his gaze took its time traveling up before settling on your own.
“I wanted to have a small party tonight, to celebrate the end of the performances. I’ll text you the address, I would love for you to come.”
“Oh, I’ll have to see...” you replied, knowing that Taehyung and JayKay would be arriving back to town that evening.
“Please, Carla, I hope you can make it.” Hobi stepped closer, his hand reaching out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear. “At the very least, can I pay you to make a cake for the celebration tonight?”
You found yourself nodding to that. That way you could still do something nice for a friend without upsetting Tae by spending his first night back home out with his friends and not with him.
“Of course, Hobi. Just text me the address. I’ll make you your favorite… my signature Devil’s Food Cake with Cream Cheese icing and strawberries.”
“You’re an actual angel, babe.” Hobi smiled his heart shaped smile, but the glint in his eye was as devilish as the cake you planned to make. “I can’t wait. The party is black and red attire… but please, come in all white.”
Texting Tae, you mentioned that you would be a little late to his place due to a last minute catering stop. You had started doing small catering services since you wouldn’t be traveling out of town this month, so it wasn’t unusual for you to tell Tae that you needed an hour or two in order to fulfill orders for your customers.
Tumblr media
Before leaving for the party, you double checked the white body con dress you had put on. It had a heart shaped neckline with baby doll straps, and you had tied your hair into a chignon, slicked back to show off your decolletage. A simple necklace with a small camera charm hung from the chain rested almost into your cleavage, the tiny diamond in the lens catching the light from the bulb in the hallway.
Liking the reflection you saw, you carted off your finished cake to your SUV and made your way to the location on your map.
Turning onto a main road, you had thought that the party Hobi was hosting was at his own place, but as you pulled into a parking lot you couldn’t help but notice the bright red sign. Primal . The very club that allowed people to explore their sexual desires on the second floor while the dance floor allowed people to party on the first. You had always wanted to come here after you found out about Taehyung coming here, but as the top floor was invite only…
Once you had started dating Tae in secret, you had forgotten about this place, not needing to seek out a place to explore your fantasies when they happened in his bedroom now. Unloading the SUV, you carried the boxed cake towards the entrance, where the bouncer at the front signalled for you to enter.
“Hoseok said to be on the lookout for the angel in white with a cake.”
You laughed to yourself, warmth crossed your cheeks at the description.
“Just head to the desk, tell them you’re headed to room 7, the password for your party is ‘hope in hell’.”
Following the instructions he gave you, the attendant at the desk led you to the door of room 7, which was tucked in the back corner of the second floor. She opened the door, which allowed you to walk into the room, lit with red lights. Music was playing throughout the speakers on the walls, and you heard the chatter of the party goers as you ascended into the depths of Primal.
“Carla!” Hobi’s voice called over the hum of the party and you turned to take in his outfit, all black to match his hair. He waved you in his direction, and upon reaching him, you handed the box off and he placed the cake on the table beside him.
“Wow, this looks amazing!” he said as he unboxed it, eyes turning back to you as he licked his lips. “Purely… delectable.”
You couldn’t help the way your body reacted. Taking in how you responded to his words, he smirked as he watched you look away. Looking around the room now, you were able to take in the scene. You truly were the only person that was in white. You could see people gyrating on each other, talking closely in small groups, drinking their fair share of alcohol, and disappearing into other rooms with each other, carnal looks in their eyes. Hobi grabbed a strawberry and held it to your mouth. You opened when it touched your bottom lip, but he teased you, trailing it along your full bottom lip before pushing it slowly into your mouth. You bite, taking in the sweetness of the fruit.
Setting down the tuft of green left over, he grabbed a napkin, clearing his fingers of the red residue before grabbing another strawberry, which he handed to you.
“Feed me.”
Unable to say no to his demand, you oblige. You had drawn an audience since you walked through the door; heated gazes on you, watching your every move, you couldn’t have said no to the host, and he knew it. Holding the strawberry up to him, his lips wrapped delicately around the plump fruit, teeth seamlessly slicing through it as some of the red liquid dripped down his chin. Your gaze follows the trail of it and you bite your lip.
“Thank you again, angel.” Hobi pulls your glance back to his eyes, stepping closer towards you for a hug.
“Thank you for inviting me Hobi, I can’t stay long, but I appreciate it.”
As he gathers you into a hug, you feel his hands drift down along your curves, hands holding your ass in a way that prevented you from moving away from him. His length, hard, pressed between your thighs and you felt his lips ghost over your neck.
“Do you have enough time for me to show you a good time?” he asked, and as much as you would have said yes if you were single, you had Taehyung possibly already waiting for you at your place.
“Sorry, I can’t tonight.” You pout, trying your best to be vague. No one knew about you and Tae, and you had to keep it that way.
“Not tonight? So when can I get you all alone?” This time, his teeth nipped at your skin, and you involuntarily shivered in his arms, moving closer into his grip.
“Um..” you tried hard to formulate words, his dominating persona calling to the submissive in you.
“𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁.”
Taehyung’s low voice practically growled as his hand gripped your neck possessively. Hobi released you, his eyes a mischievous smile as he took in the way your head turned in response to Tae’s voice, body moving towards him as if it was second nature.
“She’s mine, Hobi-hyung.”
The song was low, changing from one to another, and you felt the eyes of the other guests on the three of you. From your peripheral you could see that RM, Suga, and Jimin were watching, amused, while JayKay was standing off to the side of Tae, snickering.
“Ahhhh,” Hobi said, mind putting together all of the information over the past few months. The way that Taehyung had always grown quiet when they talked about asking you out until he would forcefully say that you were unavailable, that you had told him you weren’t single. The way you had turned down all the advances Hobi had made. The way that Taehyung seemed to almost be enraged when the crew would talk about your sumptuous body. His eyes met Jin’s, who shrugged and pretended not to see anything, walking away with a girl who had on a black lingerie set.
Tugging your hand, Tae led you towards a door and pulled you inside. It was dim, quiet, empty of passerby and onlookers.
Taehyung turned to face you, backing you towards the door you had just walked through. His arm reached over you, swinging the door shut so you were pressed against it.
“I’m gone for a month, Carla... and this is how you behave when Daddy is away?” His eyes don’t meet yours, instead they follow the path his finger makes as it trails down your cheek, slow and deliberate.
“I was trying to keep up appearances… I was about to leave, I promise.”
“Didn’t much look like you were trying to leave. Looked like you were allowing him to touch what was mine.”
“Tae, I promise—” your voice was frantic, worried he would leave you, but he cut you off.
“I saw you and him! You let him feed you.. Let him touch you..” His eyes, typically your favorite shade of deep mahogany were now black.
“Tae, I swear, it was innocent. If I had refused, they would have known.. I think they suspect so—”
Tae’s large hand tightened on your throat slightly, and you gasped, arching slightly.
“Kneel.”
Falling to your knees, your eyes meet the floor as you watch his slip on black Gucci loafers circle around you. You can hear his fingers meddle with his belt.
“You,” he paused, attempting to tame his anger, “are mine.”
His hand gripped your chignon, pulling your head in whatever direction he wanted as he continued speaking. You kept your body loose so that he could control your movements. Angling your head to look up at him, he took his other hand and used his fingers to pinch your cheeks and open your mouth.
“This mouth… is mine.”
His cock, standing at full length, entered your mouth roughly and you slackened your jaw to allow his girth to fill your hole. He face-fucked you, hips snapping as he plunged his cock into your throat. You hollow your cheeks, running your warm tongue along the bottom and grazing his frenulum. The flared tip caught on your lips as he pulled out, and you suckled the head how he liked as he held your face still with only the tip engulfed in the warmth of your mouth.
“Fuck, like that angel.” Taehyung expressed his enjoyment with low grunts and caresses to your face as you did your best to please him and apologize for what he witnessed.
“Ah, this mouth is sinful… aren’t you my little angel?” he asked, removing himself from your lips with a lewd popping sound. His hands moved to your chignon and he pulled out the pin holding it together, allowing your hair to fall.
“Yes,” you panted, short of breath, “I’m your angel.”
He nodded with a low hum, and brought you to stand. His mouth was harsh, rough as he kissed and bit your now swollen lips with his own. His grasp on your body was tight; you expected to see small fingertip bruises from his grip in the morning.
Pulling away, the trail of saliva from your mouth to his strained thin before snapping, and Tae was more turned on than ever watching the way you leaned forward chasing the kiss.
“You aren’t acting like my angel... You’re dressed like her, but you haven’t been behaving like her.”
As he moves through the room, you finally take in your surroundings. The room is mostly bare, no bed, but there is a small love seat on the wall to the left and a door in the wall straight ahead that had a sex swing attached to it. Your stomach flipped in excitement. Taehyung gave you a series of looks and, without words, you obeyed his commands. He had you naked and strapped into the swing in a matter of minutes, shedding his flowing black silk shirt.
“That’s better… the white dress made you look too pure for what I’m about to do to you.”
Running his cock along your folds, your slick coated the tip and he pushed himself into you without much prep. This was a part of your punishment, you knew, and the feeling of him so full inside of you had your body adjusting to him with more of your juices produced with every thrust he made. Your legs were propped up in the sex swing, held by straps that wrapped around your thighs, and you slid up along the door with the force of Taehyung’s hips.
“You’re mine, Carla. All mine.”
“Yes... Fuck, yes Tae, I’m yours.”
His teeth marked your neck, his large hands gripping your thighs and you could feel the throbbing of his dick as he continuously buried it inside of you. You moaned out, unable to stay quiet after a month of being deprived of him. His scent filled the surrounding area and enveloped you, and you couldn’t help but feel like it wasn’t enough, you wanted more of him.
“Please Tae.. I need… I— I need m-more...”
He thrusts into you deeply, slapping your ass as he pushes against your cervix and you cry out, nails digging into his back. You’re sure that you’ve left small crescent moons along his shoulder blades. He circles his hips while remaining deep inside of you, and he growls in your ear.
“You feel so good, God, I missed you.”
“-m-missed you… too...”
“It’s so tight, baby. I’m gonna… fuck, I’m gonna fill you so good baby.”
“Please,” you beg, and he drops his hand down to press against your clit.
You felt it building fast, the pull in your abdomen and as your hips bucked to gain more friction against his hardened member, you squeezed around him, feeling every curve and vein along the shaft and he bit hard onto your shoulder, his hot cum filling you up.
Crying out, you’re so close, but Tae pulls out of you, eyes meeting yours. And you know he’s not going to allow you release at this moment. Punishment for your earlier behavior.
You almost whine at him, exhausted because all you want is to fall apart before you fall asleep wrapped in his arms. You make to say something to him, going against your submissive state to tell him that you want more, you want to finish, before his voice whispers a command.
“Clench.”
You follow his directive, using your walls to force his cum out of you and you smile sleepily as you hear his slight intake of breath as you feel him drip down your thigh. The pads of his fingers are gentle as he scooped it back up and tucked his release back inside of you, two fingers eliciting a quiet, slick sound as they enter your abused core.
“You can cum later tonight baby, after I get you home...”
You nod, glad that he was going to allow you an orgasm at some point tonight. He leans forward to kiss you, his tongue tangling lazily with yours as he releases you from the sex swing.
“.. If you earn it.”

21 for the kiss prompts. because I am me LOL
Tumblr media
Alright, so, full disclosure, this is not CS fic. I was going to write CS fic for this. i was! I had this vaguely angsty Emma gets hurt and Killian loses his mind thing happening, but then—I didn’t write that. Instead, here’s Will Scarlet gets hurt and Belle French loses her mind and it’s hockey. It’s 2,000 words! I don’t know how that happened. Anyway, the prompt here was “bloody kiss” and I love Will Scarlet with the force of a thousand suns. If you guys want to send more kiss prompts, I’m still waiting for people to respond to my emails.
“You’re mad.”
“Your powers of deduction are truly unparalleled. What gave me away, exactly?”
Will bit his lower lip. Let his teeth dig down until he tasted blood and, well—more blood, he supposed. Six stitches later, though, and there wasn’t much blood left on his face, just a pair of narrow eyes doing their best to glare a hole through his cranium and he didn’t think that was entirely possible.
Biology had never been his strong suit, really. Unless you counted hauling off and punching some rat-faced bastard on the Caps who couldn’t keep his goddamn mouth shut about a possible offsides that had maybe happened two periods before and they’d been winning and it was fine. Totally fine. This was his job. Punching and bruising up assholes. Just a little bit, to remind them who they were playing and what was on the line and—
It was entirely possible Belle’s eyes were not entirely human.
His face flushed. Heat raced through either one of his cheeks, threatening what he could only assume was the structural integrity of his own eyes because Will couldn’t remember when he’d decided to widen them, exactly. Just that they were starting to dry out a little bit and Ariel was going to kill him.
She’d made that very clear post-game.
There might be a two-person line to wreak havoc, now.
“You get this little pinch between your eyebrows,” Will said, leaning forward until the top of his head nearly hit the bottom of her chin, “makes it easy to tell.”
Belle huffed. Crossed her arms. Nearly punched him in the face, which would have been something close to the peak of irony at this point, and then maybe Ariel wouldn’t threaten to kill him again. No, that was wishful thinking.
It’d be a miracle if they were allowed uptown later. Ariel had probably sent out an APB, or whatever the culinary equivalent of that was. No admittance until the blood had dried off his forehead and he laid prostrate at her feet, begging forgiveness for the error of his ways.
Like hell, he would.
This was his job. He was the—
Fuck, maybe he was a goon. He hadn’t scored in a while. Not even a secondary assist, or anything. Skating at the edge of the blue line on a fledgling power play did not an All-Star make, and, well, now that he thought about it, maybe Will had started jawing first. There were mumbled insults, at least.
From him, specifically. More than once, actually.
“I don’t think you’re supposed to be back here, y’know.”
The pinch got—
Pinchier. Deeper. Like a tiny, little crevice between what Will was starting to realize were meticulously cared-for eyebrows and maybe he should get a CT scan or an MRI or something because it had taken him this long to notice she was also wearing his jersey. Too-long sleeves grazed the slight bend of her knuckles, looking as if she was actively stopping herself from fisting her hands at her side and that thought wasn’t supposed to make him smile.
Still.
Will’s lips tugged up. His eyes thinned. Nose crinkled ever so slightly. Something that had been growing increasingly familiar in the last few months of the season jumped between his ribs, like little flutters of wholly imaginary wings, and she kept wearing his jersey. Kept coming to games, and that was good because they’d gotten past the labels and expectations, all of which were sky-high on the NHL’s most romance-prone hockey team.
God, maybe he wasn’t just a goon. Maybe he was a complete and total asshole.
“This is Cap’s fault,” Will announced, and he’d been ready for the pinch. He was less prepared for those eyebrows he was starting to become a tad obsessed with to soar up Belle’s forehead, past the swoop of bangs that regularly messed with his cognizant reasoning.
She scoffed. “Are you fucking with me?”
“No, but maybe when we get back to—”
“I will kick you in the shins, Scarlet, I swear to every God you can think of.”
He tried not to deflate. Really, he did. But his name seemed to crack out of her, punching the bridge of his nose like Belle had actually pulled her right arm back and her scoff was more like an exhale that time. That had never happened.
Even before. Before the labels and the attempts at setting up Killian and watching that entire season and how often he stared longing at Emma, before Regina and Locksley continued to be parents extraordinaire and the jealousy started to eat away at him. Slowly, but surely and he never talked about that, but he figured she knew because Belle knew everything and—
“Bet you twenty bucks you could name more gods than I could.”
Another sigh. A tilt of her head. It made her bangs shift. He wasn’t sure what was happening in his chest. Expanding and contracting, a painful rhythm that hurt way more than the stitches or the shitty metaphors and he was glad she’d snuck into the locker room. Will didn’t want her anywhere else.
Naming conventions, aside.
“I’m sorry—” “—I love you.”
He almost fell over. Impressive, since Will was still sitting down and his feet didn’t entirely reach the floor from that position. His jaw dropped. He hated that. Partially because it hurt and mostly because he should have been way cooler, wanted to be way cooler, but there were dots of red on his girlfriend’s cheeks and teeth digging into her lower lip, now, and he resolutely ignored the ache in his calves when he slid back to his feet.
Curling an arm around her waist, he didn’t think much about the precise way he yanked her. Forward. Directly into his chest and that didn’t leave much room to bend his knees, but Will was less concerned with specifics and the staging of this than actually getting to the good part.
The kissing part.
Plus, Belle pushed up on her toes. So, that helped.
He groaned. Loudly, like embarrassingly loud. As soon as her head tilted and he could get his mouth on hers and they were all hands and lips and whatever she was doing with her tongue, tracing the lip he’d been so intent on biting through just a few moments before. Bending his knees did give Will some more leverage. To pull her even closer, moving his arm and ignoring her soft protests.
Most of them died when he managed to get a hand under her left thigh.
She groaned. Something to be said about symmetry, Will assumed. Although he also didn’t really...care. About the saying, mostly. Not when he was melting and falling, dropping into the deep end of a pool that was a shock to his system and the best thing that had ever happened to him and she was the best thing that had ever happened to him. Bar none.
Especially when she did that tongue thing.
Closing his eyes, he knew he had to tilt his head. Had to breathe and stay conscious and he didn’t want to think about the medical requirements of a professional hockey player at a time like that, but he knew consistent awareness of his surroundings was probably fairly important and the roar of triumph blaring through his brain made that a little difficult. Breathing would have to be enough for now.
“I can’t—” Belle’s shoulders heaved. Fingers dragged across the back of Will’s neck and he had to admit he was fairly impressed with her balance. Her right foot wasn’t on the ground. “Shit, I—” He pulled her lip between his teeth, tried to memorize the next hitch of her breath and he was about five-point two-three seconds away from losing his mind. Rocking his hips up was a very bad idea. He did it anyway. “Babe, I can’t think when you do that.”
Everything was spinning. He was spinning. No, that wasn’t true. He wasn’t spinning. He was standing and touching and there was barely any color left in Belle’s eyes.
Pride prickled at the back of Will’s brain. Until pain joined the fray, making a glorious and unwelcome return at the precise moment he realized there was moisture on his cheek again. Warm and red and Ariel was going to kill him.
“Cap and Emma were making out in the hallway,” Will explained, “pre-game. Nothing they don’t normally do, and I don’t even think they knew I was there.”
“Is any of this supposed to make me feel better?”
He nodded. “I love you, too. Like it’s ridiculous how in love with you I am.”
Silence. As much as there could be in a locker room, at least. Water fell from shower heads a few hundred feet away, the low murmur of questions and Lucas-approved answers, squeaking sneakers and clacking heels, and the familiar sound of wheels rolling across linoleum as the equipment hampers moved down the hall.
Will took a deep breath.
Slowly, through his nose. Keeping the nerves off his face was harder than he expected, and even more ridiculous than whatever he’d just proclaimed because Belle had proclaimed first and it was entirely possible they were both colossal idiots. That put them on even ground, though.
He appreciated that.
“Why were you mad, ma moitié?”
There was the pinch, again. “Why do you think?” Will shook his head, brushing hair away from her eyes and he knew he didn’t imagine that sigh, either. Softer. More content. All that previous even ground. “Because I—” Belle started, and the color hadn’t left her face yet. “I know you think you’ve got to be this guy. Out there defending, not just the goal but the people and that’s...I’m super into that.”
“But?”
“But it makes me so nervous, I could spit.’
Will genuinely had no idea what noise he made. It might not have been human, really. Tearing out of his throat, his eyes bugged and he bent over without really meaning to, forehead finding Belle’s shoulder like that was the only reasonable landing place. He was still bleeding. Or bleeding again, whatever.
“Say that again,” he mumbled. Into her jersey. His jersey. Whatever, part two.
“Spit,” she repeated, making sure to enunciate every letter, “because I know you can hold your own in a fight, and that’s how you think you make a difference on this team, but—”
“It is that’s why.”
“Was my shin-kicking threat not threatening?”
He kissed exactly where his lips were. Not really, no.”
“‘Cuz I’ll totally do it, I swear. To all those gods and goddesses and then they’ll descend from on high and tell you that they also think you’re an idiot who should know that letting some rat on the ice get under your skin is exactly what they’re trying to do. Plus, it’s way better when you check them, y’know?”
Lifting his head didn’t hurt. Made him a little nervous, anxiety churning his gut and this was not the way Will thought this would happen. Maybe he could get Belle to kick Killian too. For the making out. And the unspoken frustration. He was definitely an idiot. “Is it just?”
“Don’t make me say it.”
“Don’t have to. You’re very easy to read.”
Belle lifted her eyebrows. More. “That so?’
“You think it’s super attractive when I check another dude.”
“I didn’t say that.”
“Didn’t have to. Also, I love you.”
“You mentioned that before, yeah.”
“And I am sorry for freaking you out.” Sigh number three wasn’t quite as resigned as the others, but it still left guilt rising in the back of Will’s throat and every single inch of him froze. As soon as Belle leaned around him, grabbed a far-too-large handful of gauze and started wiping blood off his cheek. “That’s way too much, babe.”
“Ariel can deal.”
“Ya gonna kick her too?”
“I’ll consider it,” Belle mumbled, back on both feet again. For, like, two seconds. Before she pushed back up on her toes, kissed the corner of Will's mouth, and added, “Don’t do that to me again, ok?”
“Aye, aye, Cap.”
He had much better reflexes than her. Pulling her back to his side before either one of her shoes could land a blow was easy and bordering almost close to joyful and that was a strange thing for him to be, but it was also easy and somehow even more simple and Ariel let them into the restaurant that night. They stayed for all of fifteen minutes.
And Will told Belle he loved her once every five minutes on the cab ride back to his apartment.
He timed it, and everything. Just to make sure the color stayed in her cheeks.

Hello, My Love | Kōtarō Bokuto
Tumblr media
Bokuto X Fem!Reader
Genre: Fluff & Imagine, Angst
Warnings: none
WC: 1.2K
Synopsis: Years after your move to Miyagi Prefecture, you reunite with an old friend.
a/n: alrighty so this one is told mostly from my boy Bokuto’s perspective. I really really enjoyed writing him in a more mature (but still Bokuto-esque) light :) I hope you all like reading my rendition of Bokuto in love!
listen along: hold my girl - george ezra
read chapter 1.  - chapter 3.
Hello, My Love
One year.
It had been over one year since he had last seen her face, three hundred and sixty-five days from their final laugh together—an entire revolution around the sun since his body could recall the intoxicating feeling of her skin beneath his fingertips.
Well, it had actually been four hundred and thirty-five days from that day. But, hey, who was counting.
-
Kōtarō Bokuto did not get nervous. Whether it was stepping onto the glossy floors of the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium or confessing his feelings for his childhood best friend, the ace had never experienced the nauseating feeling many of his teammates had described.
But now, sitting at the edge of his bed while waiting for a text from Akaashi to say that he had arrived, Bokuto understood; his stomach was in knots, his heart pounding against his chest as he rehearsed what he would say to his first love after almost two years of restlessly waiting for an excuse to see her.
“Ok, ok, so I’m gonna walk up to her and I’m gonna say “Hey Y/N, its been a while.” ” He smirked, brushing imaginary dust off of his shoulder as he posed in front of the mirror.
“No no no, that’s not right,” he pouted, raking a hand through his hair.
“How about, “Y/N, long time no see.” ” he tried, groaning as the words left his mouth, cringing internally and externally.
“How about you just say hi.”
A voice called calmly from the doorway, its owner blatantly rolling their eyes at his outfit choice.
“Akaashi-kunnnnnn,” Bokuto whined, flopping back on the bed. “I have no idea what to say to her. After all this time I’ll finally get to see her—I just don’t want to mess this up.” He stared up at his hands, picturing their last moments together, his pulse racing as the anxiety began to eat away at his unwavering confidence.
-
“BOKUTO-SAN!!!!”
The owl beamed back at the spirited first-year hollering his name through the screen, his orange locks a tangled mess as he lay on the gym floor.
“Will you come with all of us to the amusement park this weekend?? Kuroo-san and Kenma-kun are already coming, oh and you can bring Akaashi-san with you too!” he grinned, taking a sip from his water bottle.
“Oi, of course! Who else is going?”
Hinata scrunched his eyebrows, taking a moment to rack his brain; “ Well I think Tanaka and Nishinoya are definitely coming, probably the rest of the team too.” he started, scratching the back of his head.
“Oh wait—our managers are coming along too! Kiyoko and Yachi,” he laughed, continuing; “I’m pretty sure Yachi is bringing someone too—I think her name was Y/N?”
Bokuto froze. Y/N? She would be there?
He suddenly forgot how to breathe, choking on his own words as he sputtered out a response:
“Y-Y-Y/N??” he questioned incredulously, holding a breath as his cheeks colored unnaturally.
“Yeah, Yachi said they’re close friends from their classes together—she’s a third-year, like you!”
Finally.
Finally, he had a reason to see her. His heart leapt in his chest, thumping uncontrollably as he ended his call with Hinata, flinging his phone across the room as he fell back onto his pillows, the widest smile painted onto his face.
-
“What is taking them so long?” Bokuto frowned to Akaashi as he bounced his knee impatiently, the suspense killing him.
They had all agreed to meet up at 12:00 at the front gates of the park, but the last two of the group were yet to show up, and it was now 12:15.
“I’m sure they just got stuck in traffic or something,” Akaashi reassured him, squeezing his shoulder. Though not one to show much affection for his overenthusiastic half, the blue-eyed boy was worried, and visibly so.
The final piece to their trio, he had known Y/N for almost as long as he had known Bokuto. Ever since he could remember, Bokuto had dragged her everywhere they went; from the sandbox, to the court, to the arcade—she played a huge role in his life. As they grew out of toys and spent more time in the gym, Akaashi witnessed a change in his friend’s behavior—though Bokuto stayed the same bright-eyed guy he had always known, his face began to change around her; his eyes softer, his smile warmer, his laugh deeper.
Deep down, he had always known of his friends’ developing feelings for each other. But it wasn’t until the pair heard about her move that Bokuto had voiced those hidden emotions, arriving at Akaashi’s door, face dripping with sweat and tears.
-
12:21
Was she even coming anymore?
Bokuto began checking the time on his phone more and more as each minute passed, head swiveling, searching desperately for that familiar face.
Did she still love me?
The insecurities began creeping in, one after another.
Did she even love me in the first place?
He had never actually confirmed her true feelings, but he thought he had known—he had hoped.
They had spent every waking moment together as kids, even as middle schoolers sticking side by side. But it wasn’t until they had left primary school that he had realized.
Swallowing his doubts, he recalled that fated moment—that moment he had heard his mother talk about before: the moment. The moment when you see someone and you just know.
He had never believed in love at first sight, but he knew right away when he looked at you as you stood in the doorway of their middle school gym—hair blowing in with the breeze, a soft smile on your face—that something in his heart had changed.
-
“Oh, I think that’s them!”
Bokuto’s head shot up, practically giving himself whiplash as his eyes hungrily roamed the crowded lot for the pair of girls, bouncing on his toes as he craned his neck.
“Bo, relax man,” Kuroo chuckled, patting him on the back, “they’re right there.”
Every pre-rehearsed line or logical thought of his seemed to be whisked away by the gentle spring breeze.
The pair approached slowly, the blond quite obviously dragging the figure next to her as they walked.
It was as if time had slowed before him as his eyes searched your face; your hair, the same as ever, only a bit shorter than since he had last seen it. Your figure, more shapely and delicate than he had remembered, suited you perfectly—It made you seem like more of a woman, he thought, his cheeks flushing at the idea.
As you drew closer, he recognized those same eyes, inviting and warm, complemented by faint smile lines that creased your face, giving you a softer appearance. Your lips, a bit fuller, colored a just-bitten scarlet.
Suddenly, you were right in front of him, a shy expression painted on that face he adored—the face he had imagined in front of him a million times in one thousand different scenarios, appearing in his daydreams as he dozed off during class. He had fantasized about this moment for months, picturing exactly what he would say, what he would do—how you would laugh and beam at him with such warmth in your eyes.
But now, as he stood paralyzed at your feet, all he could manage was, “Hi.”

Who were you hoping would win Drag Race Down Under?? I was really rooting for Art Simone haha
I stopped watching. I heard how bad the talent show episode was before I watched it and I liked Anita and Elektra best so knowing both of them were out it wasn't worth struggling through the messiness of this season!! I didn't get the hype around Art. I have watched some of her videos since and she comes across so much better off the show. I think people must have been letting their fondness for her before the show cloud their judgement or something. It's not her fault she was brought back, she didn't choose for it to be her so it doesn't make me dislike her or anything, but she didn't earn her place in the competition fairly so I think it would have been a disappointing ending to me if she'd won. Scarlet and Karen did perform well in the episodes I saw but a win from them right now would have probably just been too messy. So honestly I think Kita was the best remaining option.
This has not been a good season in my opinion and if they bring it back they need to change it quite substantially:
1) Ru can't host. Sorry but it's ridiculous to have a queen punished because an American doesn't know their culture. It's uncomfortable at times in the UK version because Ru doesn't get a lot of the cultural references but at least Michelle has lived here and knows a bit more. Rhys was brilliant and the only redeeming feature of the panel.
2) Sometimes the guest judges are popular but we would watch drag race even if there were no celebrity guests. This season they clearly were trying to crowbar in celebrities and the show suffered as a result. I love Taika (despite his mid life crisis) but the fact they showed blatantly pre-taped reactions and tried to pass them off as live despite them making no sense with the context was so cringe.
3) They didn't give respect to the diversity of drag in that part of the world. We all know that diversity in Drag Race is an issue but to only have two queens of colour and then to treat them so poorly was a lot even for Drag Race. Again I don't blame Art for this but the fact that both queens of colour were eliminated in the first three weeks and then they chose to bring back the white queen who was eliminated before Coco was just really poor show. If Art had been the only white queen but had been eliminated last then it might have made sense but if they were bringing anyone back it really should have been Coco or they should have brought them all back and had a vote like they did in the UK version. Art probably would have won it anyway but it would have been fair. And then the way they handled Scarlet’s past was really weird and uncomfortable. RuPaul can't accept apologies on behalf of the Indigenous community, especially after treating the Indigenous queens the way they did.

With a final swipe of gloss across her lips, Rose returned the lipstick to her purse, fluffed her hair, and knocked on the door.
“It’s open!”
Pushing the door open, she grinned at the sight that greeted her.  Hair still obviously wet from the shower, her boyfriend of three weeks (and counting!) stood on the far side of his kitchen island, preoccupied with a popcorn popper that was spitting out perfectly popped corn.  “Hey!” he greeted her warmly, as she dumped her stuff and came around to his side.  “Missed you.”
“I saw you this morning,” she laughed, kissing him hello. “Mm, you taste like butter.”
“I had to make sure it was good,” James shrugged, gesturing to the half-full bowl catching the freshly popped corn.  “Only the best for you.  And yes, but we were at your place of work, surrounded by people.  I much prefer when we’re alone.”
“So do I.”  Wrapping her arms around his waist, she rested her head on his bicep.  “Remind me why we’re watching Christmas movies in mid-January?”
James eased out of her arms as the popper wound down, dumping the last of the kernels into the bowl before switching the machine off. “Because I don’t want to wait a year to curl up with you and popcorn and watch cheesy Christmas-themed movies with you.” He nodded towards a bottle of white wine and two glasses on the counter, still chilled from the fridge, waiting for Rose to grab them before guiding her to the couch, which was already prepared for the evening.
Two soft, fleece-lined blankets stood at the ready, along with the pillows from his bed.  A stack of DVDs sat on the coffee table, two drink coasters optimally positioned, and to complete the Christmas-y vibe, all the decorations, including the tree, were still up.
“So, for future reference, do you typically leave the tree up this long?” she asked, plopping down roughly in the middle of the couch and pulling out the pre-popped cork.  “‘Cause I’ve gotta be honest, mine’s been down since the third, and this might be a sticking point in the future.”
He laughed, settling next to her and reaching for his glass.  “No, but… I’m not ready to take it down yet, this year.  I’m afraid…”
“What?”  She took her own glass, leaning back into the cushions and giving him her full attention.
“I’m afraid that this- what we have- is a function of Christmas magic, and if I remove the decorations…” he trailed off, ears flushing. “Point is, I’m not taking any chances on this.”
Rose grinned, blushing herself, and wiggled closer.  “I’m not going to disappear if you take your tree down,” she promised.  “And I’m mostly teasing you – it’s sort of nice, it still being up.  Not sure I’d say the same if I was living- with one still up,” she faltered, and they shared a smile at what was unsaid- “but… yeah. I wouldn’t want to jinx us either. I’ve been wanting this for so long.”
“Me too.”  He leaned forward, and they met in the middle in a kiss that tasted of salt from the popcorn, tart from the wine, and sweet from what she was learning was just him.  “Mhmm, you’re too tempting,” he accused without heat when he pulled back for breath.  “This isn’t why I asked you over.”
“All right, all right,” she resettled herself with a laugh.  “Fine, we can Netflix then Chill, if that’s what you really want.”
His ears and neck turned a delightful shade of scarlet, and he all but lunged for the stack of DVDs, voice squeaking as he said, “So!  What shall we start with?”
Leaning in again she rested her cheek against his shoulder as they shuffled through the selection, and it took everything she had not to scoff at the final option, managing a neutral tone to say, “A Muppet Family Christmas?”
James stilled beside her, and she was glad she hadn’t laughed when a distant expression flashed across his face. “It was my dad’s favorite Christmas movie,” he said, hesitantly.  “Mum hated it, but tolerated it when we were old enough to watch it.  It became our thing, me Donna and Dad’s.  She and I still watch it together every year.”
“Oh.”  Rose tried to marshal her thoughts, recognizing that he was letting her in on something special, wondering distantly if it was some sort of test.  “I’ve never actually seen it.”
“Really?”
She nodded.  “Slightly before my time.  I know who the Muppets are, of course, saw the Christmas Carol one, but… not this.”
He was silent for a moment, picking at the corner of the box.  “D’you wanna?”
“Yes.”  She surprised them both with the strength of her response, based on how James’ head flew up to blink at her.  “Sounds like this might be the closest I get to meeting your Dad, so- let’s do it.”
His blinding smile told her it was absolutely the right answer.
-
By the end of the movie they were snuggled together, singing along at the top of their lungs to the final song, even as it trailed off to the credits.
“-And a happy new year!” they finished, before breaking into peals of laughter.
“Oh, I loved it,” Rose proclaimed, wiping tears of merriment from her eyes.  “I can’t believe I’ve never seen that – it’s adorable!”
Beside her, James made a happy noise, pressing his face into her bicep.  “Really?”
Wriggling around, Rose waited until she could meet his eye to respond.  “Really,” she said firmly.  “There’s something special about it.  And more importantly, it’s special to you.  So it’s special to me.  Thank you for sharing this bit of yourself with me.”  No words could express how honored she felt, that he was comfortable sharing something so personal with her.  It made her a little wistful for her own father; while both men were gone, James had at least grown up with his father, known him in person- Rose had been a baby when Pete died.
“Hey, what’s wrong?”  James’ concerned tone dragged her out of the spiral of her thoughts, and she looked up at him when he brushed at her cheek.  “You’re crying.”
She bit her lip.  “I was just thinking about my own dad,” she said truthfully.  “I’d give anything to share something like this with him.  Or, anything, really.  I was six months when he- when we lost him.  I mean, on bank holidays Mum and I watch old Cliff Richards movies, but… it’s not quite the same as this.”
“I’m sorry.  I didn’t mean to bring up a… a sad memory for you.”  His soulful chocolate eyes felt like they could see into her very heart, and she pushed down the ever-present but background grief.
“It’s okay.  Sometimes it hits me in the weirdest moments.  And I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to meet your Dad – he sounds wonderful, based on your stories.”  Then she bolted upright, as a memory surfaced.  “Holy shit – I think I did meet your dad!  Three Christmases ago, the first couple months you were coming in – we didn’t have much of a relationship then, but I still clocked you every time, ‘cause you’re so bloody cute, and I remember you came in a few days before Christmas with an older man!  You’d been out shopping, and blimey, he looked just like you!”
James was silent for a long moment, before exhaling.  “Blimey, I think you’re right.  I’d forgotten – I was sweet on your even then, and I think he noticed, ‘cause he kept teasing me.  I never took him back, for fear of him embarrassing me.  But… yeah, there you go.  You did meet him.  And he liked you, much as he could in thirty seconds.  Kept egging me to ask you out, and I brushed him off.  If only I’d listened to him…”
They sat with that, imaging what could have been, before Rose clapped her hands.  “No, we are not going down that rabbit hole.  Let’s be grateful that we got there, and we’re here now.  Trust me, I spent my entire life pretending not to notice how my mum had one foot stuck in the could-have-beens.  Better not to start down that path.”  She reached for the bottle of wine, but it was empty.  “What d’you say we go do some stargazing?”
“Or…” he drawled, raising an eyebrow, “we could continue on our childish theme and play Mario Kart.”
“That’s what I’m talking about!”
-
By the third race their maudlin musings had been all but forgotten, as they battled it out for first place with taunts and good-natured ribbing, giving no quarter and playing as though their lives depended on it – complete with over-dramatic victory dances and cheering.
“Oh, come on!” James protested, as Rose eked out a second win by a breath.  “You’re cheating!”
“Am not,” she denied, settling back on the couch after a final celebratory kick.  “Novice, remember?  Beginner’s luck?”
He grumbled, turning to look at her.  “Care to make it more interesting?”
“How so?”
“Winner takes a shot, loser loses an item of clothing?”
Rose laughed, shaking her head.  “You want to turn strip-racing into a drinking game?”  Leaning back, she considered her outfit and his, then the empty bottle of wine.  “What d’you got for shots?”
A rifle through the fridge produced a cold bottle of peppermint schnapps, “In keeping with the Christmas theme,” he declared, setting it on the coffee table along with two shot glasses.  “Hope you’re thirsty.”
Shaking her head, Rose folded her legs beneath her.  “You do know I’m a sure thing, right?” she teased, choosing the next track in the game.  “You don’t need to get me drunk, or strip to get me interested.”
“Someone’s confident in themself, aren’t they?” he leered. “Better watch out – who knows what the promise of getting you in your knickers will do to my ability in the game?”
“Not a thing,” she shot back, catching her tongue between her teeth.  “Because there’s no where you’re getting me in my knickers.”  She started the race, laughing at his outraged yelp.
“We’ll see.”
The light turned green and they took off, and Rose waited until they were near the end and he was slightly ahead to say, “I’d have to be wearing knickers for you to see me in them.”  As predicted he startled, going so far as to drop his controller, and with a laugh, she sped across the finish line for her third win in a row.  As her character (Princess Peach, natch) was crowned, she turned to watch him splutter, eyes wide.
Finally, he just pointed, making a wheezing sound.  “You…”
She took her shot first, nearly coughing at the overwhelming peppermint flavor, before turning her whole body to him.  “Strip, loser,” she ordered with a smirk.  “And, in case you don’t believe me…”  Brave off the half-bottle of wine and the shot, she lifted her leg to splay it along the back of the sofa, confirming for him that she wasn’t wearing anything beneath her skirt.  Laughing at the awestruck look on his face she returned to facing the telly, tucking her knees primly together.  “I held up my end of the bargain…”
Coming back to life, he shook his head in disgust.  “You’re not playing fair.”  He whipped his shirt off, revealing his lovely muscular chest, and her knees squeezed together just a bit tighter.
“Well, lose quicker then, so we can go to bed.”
-
He didn’t win a single race after that, but an hour later, flat on his back on his living room floor wearing only a single sock, with a sticky and sweaty Rose collapsed on his chest, he couldn’t be bothered to care.
“I love Christmas.”

“...Do you?” She whispered back.

Octodad: Not-so-dark theory
Tumblr media
From top to bottom, Octodad looks like a fairly innocent game, A simple story about an Octopus trying to survive in suburbia. But, through subtle hints and references, and inconsistencies with that premise, it is revealed that Octodad is no mere cephalopod. He is, in fact, something far more horrifying, on paper at least... What do I mean?
Octodad is not, in truth, an Octopus, He's a Cthulhi. For those not familiar with the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Cthulhi are also called "The Starspawn of Cthulhu" and "Xothians," and are a race that looks like Cthulhu who's true origins, as with everything in the Cthulhu mythos, are debatable and vague as sin, the only things known for a fact are that they look like Cthulhu (Or, in their first appearance, like Octopi), worship him, followed him from their home dimension/universe into ours, and then perished en masse while what remained of them went into a death-like sleep, same as Cthulhu.
Tumblr media
Now, Star Spawn aren't often seen in the works of Lovecraft, but they do have a sliver of popularity in the fandom. Not as big (in the popularity sense) as Deep Ones, but not as unknown as the humble Penguins of Leng. Now, again, it's worth noting that common interpretations of Star Spawn are basically baby Cthulhus, just tiny versions of their dark and malevolent master, but to start with, they were described as "a land race of beings shaped like octopi and probably corresponding to the fabulous pre-human spawn of Cthulhu," in the story "At the Mountains of Madness."
Octodad highly RESEMBLES an octopus, but with some interesting tweaks. Namely: His eyes, two of his Tentacles, and something we'll talk about in just a minute. But let's talk about Octodad's anatomy when compared to another octopus, namely, the one in the "Wold of kelp" at the Aquarium.
Tumblr media
Now, this is Octopus is a giant, climbable sculpture one might see at a water park, so in a technical sense, some liberties could have been taken with its anatomy, but it looks semi-accurate to real octopi, down to the slit-like pupils and the tentacles all being at roughly the same spot despite them spreading out for kids to climb on. Now, if you pay attention, a patron of the Aquarium will note that the "World of kelp" was something else before it was the world of kelp, though they THINK it was "Squids or something" before. Based on how the section played out, I have to believe the whole affair was either cephalopods in general given how many bases of just kelp they went over, or just Octopi because HOLY CRAP there are lots of octopi out there. Failing that, I don't think the statue was a squid to begin with, the eyes are far too forward on the head, what can be seen of the tentacles makes them all look the same, and most species of squid have circular pupils and irises, not slits/rectangles.
Octodad, in contrast to the sculpture, has vertically ovular pupils, far rounder than the slits on the larger statue, on top of that, his eyes take up a slightly larger portion of his head. Then we take a look at Octodad's tentacles, namely the two that form his mustache. These two tentacles are set away from the other six in a way that makes no real anatomical sense for an octopus. Not to mention that the two are preposterously shorter than the others, it's less like another pair of tendrils and more like a strange growth coming out of the middle of his head. Moving on from that, there's also a certain disparity with his other limbs, his "arms" are shorter than his "legs" when he stands, however, when he enters water, his limbs, save for his mustache, are all of equal length, this strange effect carries over to when he's buck-ass naked, so no, he isn't just scrunching two up while he's in the suit... Speaking of naked octodad:
Tumblr media
What the hell is that THING in the midst of his tentacles? It's a lighter color than the others, he's still using two tentacles per leg, one per arm, and his mustache is basically vestigial. Octodad's anatomy makes no fucking sense unless you consider the idea that he has some level of shapeshifting power... and wouldn't you know it, Cthulhi have just that. To what end is a little shakey, as with most things in the Lovecraft universe, but still.
Also worth noting is the church Octodad got married at, a Church dedicated, at least partly, to Cthulhu himself. Now, we only see one window with any kind of figure on it, Cthulhu, wereas the others are all decked out with a strange symbol, as are a few paintings lining the walls of it. These paintings may be of religious significance to the practitioners of this particular faith, but a lot of it looks like some minimalist "If you get it you get it" kind of stuff, and then one is literally a crayon drawing of a child with a smiling balloon. The last vaguely Lovecraftian thing in the church is the treasure chest Octodad gets his wife's ring from, all the coins within have a squid/cuttlefish-like creature printed on them, In the story "Shadow over Innsmouth," the people of a town called "Innsmouth" start breeding with fish people. They did it specifically for the undersea gold the fish people (called Deep Ones) give out for the service. Deep Ones worship multiple gods, cheif among them are their great parents, Mother Hydra and Father Dagon, though worship of Cthulhu isn't against their laws or anything.
Tumblr media
The game takes a break from the hints of Eldrich horror while the family is at home, though it is worth noting that we don't REALLY know where Octodad's children came from. Hell, the game makes a joke about it at the end, Tommy asks, plain as day, "If dad's an octopus... Then where did me and Stacy come from?" While his parents laugh the question off, it has a few possible answers: The two of them (Or just Tommy) are leftover from a failed relationship/marriage Scarlet was a part of before Octodad came in, the two (Or just Tommy) are adopted, or, in a manner not dissimilar to deep ones, Cthulhi may just be able to breed with humans in this universe.
Tumblr media
Now, I say Tommy may be adopted/Not Octodad's specifically because Stacy says something concerning in the "Deep sea" exhibit at the Aquarium. She apparently has dreams wherein a deep, dark spot in the ocean seems to call to her. This turns out to be a sea horse ranch. Cute as that is, dreams are a recurrent theme in Lovecraft's work, sometimes compelling people into the service of Great old ones like Gla'aki, for example. Or there was that one story when a guy met Yog-Sothoth, the omniscient and omnipresent god of the universe just because he dreamed that deeply. Also "The Dreamlands" are a place in Lovecraft's fiction. I could keep going down that rabbit hole, but I'm lazy and I think that point is made.
There is also another reference (Possibly) to "Shadow over Innsmouth" and "Dagon" with the character of Chef Fujimoto. Now, Fujimoto himself is not a reference to anything in particular, but his backstory has some Lovecrafty bits. Namely, Fujimoto was once a soldier (Dagon) who cut open a combatant. Instead of human guts, "Piles of fish" were inside. (Shadow over Innsmouth.) This one might be a little more of a stretch but remember that Fujimoto is OBSESSED with Octodad and believes very firmly that there are fish people everywhere. ("Why is everyone fish!?") There are several Lovecraftian stories where the character feels he is being pursued or is surrounded in some way. Call of Cthulhu ends with one of the characters feeling that the cult is gunning for him, partly because some dude looked at him funny, and Dagon ended with the main character fearing that a servent of Dagon was coming up his stairs after him, so he threw himself out a window. The crippling paranoia experienced by Fujimoto is another hint that SOMETHING Eldrich is happening in the universe of Octodad.
Also worth noting is that a magazine entitled "Inquisitor" can be found at Gervason's, Octodad is on the cover, and they think he's an alien. Which begs the question: Why is it that most humans will let an obviously strange man do things without much concern at all? Hell, there are three lines present in both the main game and one of the extra shorts that imply EVERYONE sees something is wrong with Octodad. And I quote/paraphrase:
"I thought he was a lawyer?" "He's slimy enough to be one."
"Is it just me or did the captain look jigglier than usual?"
"Hmmm, I don't see a blurblerulb on the list."
These lines imply on some level that people recognize SOMETHING is wrong or different with Octodad but they don't carry the thought far enough to do anything with it... Unless perhaps at a distance, hence that cover of “Inquisitor.”
Another thing that tends to happen in Lovecraftian horror is the mind not making proper sense of things. For example: Canonically in the mythos, the image of Cthulhu mankind sees, humanoid body, octopus head, draconic wings, etc, is not what he really looks like, it's just our perception of Cthulhu because our minds aren't equipped to comprehend the real deal. Looking too long at just what we can see of Cthulhu will unravel your mind, causing both insanity and death if exposed even longer. I think that's part of Octodad's effect. When he's dressed, the humans around him perceive what their mind makes sense of. He's in a shirt and pants, therefore he is appropriately dressed as a human, therefore their minds SEE a human even if he's not QUITE right. We see, rather obviously, that he doesn't have human hands, he has tentacles with suckers, but Scarlet refers to it as a "Hand" still, this implies she and others see his appendages as hands or feet when he's disguised or doing something "Human enough." Only really undone if he's naked or does too many strange or seemingly malicious things like accidentally smack someone with a bag of doughnuts.
This is why you can get away with randomly dragging things across the floor, their minds are telling them something is a little off, but their ability to perceive might be telling them he's just got a medical condition or something. It's nothing to judge him for, he's just got a disability.
So at the end of that trail, what are we left with? Octodad as a Xothian/Deep one hybrid? Does that fundamentally change the game's story? Does this mean Octodad is a dark horror from beyond? Does he secretly seek to kill and maim and destroy all the things we hold dear? Will he one day help awaken Cthulhu and usher in the new age of the great old ones? No. See, Octodad, despite his horrifying inspirations, is a benevolent creature. He "blubs with a love for all mankind" in the ending for Dadliest Catch. He still obviously loves and cares for his family, whether they know his secret or not. He's just an alien from another dimension... or at least he has ancestry from another dimension.
Now, why is that? I've got two little ideas for that: It's an often found interpretation that most of the original writings of Lovecraft focus on the idea that "It is different, therefore it is bad." Xenophobia of an extremely high sort. Mind you, I often find this interpretation lacking, but we can probably discuss that later. I feel Octodad may be a natural extrapolation of the idea that it isn't bad because it's different, in fact, Octodad, despite keeping a secret, is an all-around "good" guy. Upstanding, moral, all that garbage, he just happens to be non-human.  Something supporting this being a running theme is the scene with the Snugglefish. For those who have yet to play Dadliest catch, a section of the game takes place when the power in part of the Aquarium goes partially out. During this event, Octodad and Stacy come upon a large sculpture of a creature called a “Snugglefish.” which is covered by the dark. We shine lights at the supposedly malevolent creature, complete with monstrous teeth and evil red eyes, partially with the intent to “Blind it” despite the fact that its obviously a statue. That whole section up to then is nothing but fumbling in the dark, looking at the strange and some might say “alien” life living in the deep ocean, you can also learn some stuff about them if you pay attention.  The whole thing ends when you fully light up the spots on the statue, revealing it to BE a Snuggle fish as opposed to some giant monster. As a result of revealing this, Stacy’s fears of it go right out and she feels she understands the creature better, as with most things, learning and understanding quiet one’s fears. when we learn what something is, we stop seeing it as an immediate threat is the take away from that section, I think, which is, again, I’d say, a call to Lovecraft's writings and his fear of that which was different and unknown and how it’s so easily thrown out with just a LITTLE understanding.
Tumblr media
Another plausible explanation for Octodad’s kindness may be that Octodad is not a Star Spawn of Cthulhu, but of Kthanid. Kthanid is not an original creation of H.P. Lovecraft, but a bloke by the name of "Brian Lumley." Lumley's creation is the brother of Cthulhu, and is considered the main reason Cthulhu is sealed away these days. Kthanid is said to look almost exactly like Cthulhu but to have "Golden eyes that radiate peace." He's a loving, benevolent "Elder God" that wants the best for not just Humanity, but for all things. It would logically follow that if a creature dedicated itself to Kthanid, or was one of his spawn, it would be at least mostly as loving and kind. So, if Octodad, or "blurblerulb" if you prefer, was a purely hypothetical Kthani instead of Cthulhi, his disposition may well fit within the actual mythos.
Tumblr media
So, what do y'all think? Does this theory hold water? Or does it sink harder than Cthulhu going back down for a nap?

Oh bet.. okay so like visiting Ashton on tour and right before the show you steal some of his clothes and find a ring box but you ignore it and you went to go look for it again when he goes on stage and it’s missing (so maybe Ashton pops the question on stage)
Okay here it is! I hope you like it. 🥰

You quickly scramble your way up the tour bus stairs and into the back bunks, jumping over random bags and sneakers. The guys are already inside the arena and you quickly search for your boyfriends bunk to change into some clothes before heading inside. You quickly look at your watch, it’s been an hour since you got off the plane and all you want to do is change into new, fresher clothes.
Ashton had recommended you just wear some of his and being one to never say no to such an offer, here you now are searching through his bunk on the empty bus. You toss through his abundance of band tees and jeans looking for that one t-shirt that smells so much like him (even though all of them do, but there’s just this specific one you like the most).
What seems like forever, though has only been two minutes total you find the sleeve of your favourite t-shirt and because its down the bottom of the heaped pile of unfolded clothes you yank at it, a successful yell echoing into the bus as you hold it to you. The excitement of finding the shirt you’ve been looking for doesn’t hide the sound of an object hitting the floor of the bus, eyes quickly darting down to a lone black box on the floor with a silver ribbon tied neatly around the bottom half.
With a raised eyebrow and a most equally suspicious face you lean down to pick up the box, the velour feel surprising against your fingers, throwing the t-shirt over your shoulder you slowly open the box, almost dropping it at the same time when you come face to face with the most beautiful engagement ring you’ve ever seen with the words you’re my favourite on the inside of the box.
You stare dumbfounded for a moment before a rush of adrenaline overcomes you and you embarrassingly throw it straight back into the bunk, quickly hiding it back where you thought you had found it, heart racing as you take a step back from the bunk.
“An engagement ring.” You whisper to no one but yourself, a small smile creeping over your face. You two have talked about it, having been together for over two years now but you didn’t think he had already bought a ring or anything like that. The adrenaline suddenly turns to elation and you can’t help but place your head in your hands, smiling so widely as you let the emotions halt you for a moment.
Before you let yourself bask in the feeling you hear a couple of voices from outside the bus, with a quick strip of your old shirt and back into Ashtons shirt you close the bunk curtain and make your way to the front of the bus and down the steps only to be suddenly face to face with your one and only.
“Hello you,” He jogs forward and picks you up swiftly, twirling you around in his arms as you grip onto his back. He lets you down and laughs, though his eyebrows shoot up at the look on your face, “Why you look all flushed bub?”
You laugh, trying not to show on your face the reason for the scarlet cheeks, “No reason! You know,” You shrug, “Just happy to be here with you.” He accepts that answer easily and pulls you in for a deep kiss, his curly black hair tickling your forehead before you pull back with a dazed look, his kisses always seem to do that to you.
“Well I’ve got to quickly just pop into the bus, you can wait for me or you can head off to the backstage area, the guys are all there now anyway.”
“Okay, well yeah I’ll head over there and meet you in a second.”
With another quick peck you two part ways, him eagerly hopping onto the bus and you happily heading towards the door of the backstage area, the butterflies only now starting to settle down.
-
About an hour has passed from accidentally revealing the engagement ring to yourself and so many questions have gone through your mind already, how long has he had it for? when is he planning to ask? a June or August wedding? Your mind was racing with so many unanswered questions that you didn’t even notice when a voice called through for the boys to head to the stage and it took a playful punch to the arm for you to come back down to earth.
A smiling Ashton stares down at you, “Where are you sweetheart hmm? Off in your own world hey?” You roll your eyes at him and return the punch, sticking your tongue out when he feigns real hurt.
The boys and respective partners follow altogether to the side of stage, Ashton’s hand securely in yours as his thumb rubs circles on your hand. You spare a few side glances as you two weave in and out of crew members. The thought of getting married to this man, the man who has stayed by you for this long, the man who never fails to make you laugh and the man you want to hold forever makes your heart swell. You swallow down the tightening in your throat, avoiding a conversation why you’re tearing up before the show starts.
“Okay babe,” Ashton leans down to whisper in your ear, the sound faint against the roaring of the crowd below the stage, “This will be the best show we’ve ever put on, be ready.”
He leans back and with the softest of forehead kisses retreats for the pre show fist bumps and then onto to the stage to the roaring of thousands of fans.
The show goes off without a hitch, every song played to utterly delighted fans and you feel elated with every beat. Standing side stage and watching the man you love play his heart out makes you weak at the knees, plus a sweaty energetic Ashton also helps.
it comes down to the last song and just as they finish with another almost earsplitting sound from crowd you watch happily as all four of the men come together to bow in front of the stage. Now not that you don’t love watching them play but having Ashton come off stage and scoop you up in his arms, albeit sweaty, it’s always by far the best bit. So you wait eagerly for him to bound off stage and drag you into a dark corner for a few sweet kisses.
Though just as Ashton usually does his walk down the aisle to wave at the fans he gives you a quick smile and a wink, finding the closest microphone and waving a hand to silence the crowd. The other three stand almost duteously behind him, with big smiles on their faces as they try to get their breath back to normal.
“Now you may know!” Ashton rough voice suddenly comes through the speakers, “That I haven’t been a single man for a little while now.” The crowd cheers and screams at that sentence but you barely register it as the sound of your heart beating through your ears suddenly drowns them out.
He sneaks you another quick smile and you feel your palms start to get sweaty. You look around and suddenly you notice all crew members and the other girlfriends staring at you with wide smiles and jittery limbs.
“So I thought I would bring my lovely girlfriend onto the stage right now, would that be okay?” You go wide eyed as the words register and suddenly there are hands on your back pushing you forward until you stumble onto the stage. The fact that thousands of eyes are suddenly on you makes you so incredibly nervous that you do a strange half jog half walk to where Ashton is, knowing you will feel more secure by his side.
With one hand on the mic to mask his voice he leans close to you, the stage lights illuminating him so beautifully, “Trust me okay?” He whispers into your ear, the butterflies that you thought had gone were know back with a vengeance.
He leans back towards the microphone, “I hope it’s okay with you all, if I ask my girlfriend to marry me?” The last word barely spoken before the crowd starts screaming and you feel every part of your body start to vibrate with adrenaline when Ashton turns towards you and down onto one knee, his hand sneaking behind him to grab the now familiar box and place it in his palms.
Your hands instinctively come up to come your mouth and the sting of tears starts as you watch Ashton with shaky hands open the box, mouthing to you will you marry me? Your mind goes blank and all you can do is dumbly nod your head, the tears now flowing over and onto your cheeks. You can see the other three guys in your peripheral clapping and jumping up and down in excitement, Michael doing some sort of excited dance that you can’t quite make out.
With trembling hands he pulls the ring out and slides it onto your left ring finger, a surprisingly perfect fit. He stands and quickly scoops you up into his arms, spinning you around as you cling tightly onto him.
With a bright smile he quickly turns back to the microphone, “I’m not sure if you got that, but she said yes!” You laugh through the constant stream of happy tears as he waves to the crowd, the other boys following suit. Ashton retreats from the microphone and quickly picks you up, your feet dangling as he walks off the stage, the sudden darkness calming you as enter the side of stage.
The crew cheer and shout their congratulations as Ashton holds you close, his sweaty forehead resting against yours, your hands on his face.
“You silly man,” You whisper to him, “I adore you so.”
He beams at you, his hands feel like they’re tied around your waist as he leans forward to kiss you, the shine of the ring on your finger makes you smile, “Surprise.” He whispers into your lips.
You nod and bury your face into his neck, a perfect surprise indeed.

Can you write Alpha! Billy gently fucking and claiming the cute, shy and small (height) omega who blushes all the time he's around but somehow he manages to get her to come around.
October 15th - Pretty Little Thing
Summary - You’re the cutest little Omega Billy’s ever seen
Warnings - Smut, omega verse,
A/N - I’ve never written Omegaverse but I hope I did ok angel! X (I didn’t write the knot stuff because I got a little confused about it all 😖)
“Hey little one, hows it going?” Billy teased, taking a quick glance up your skirt as you stood on a chair to reach the top shelf in the store cupboard.
“Hey.. can I get some help here?” You mumbled, stepping down from the chair and huffing. He smirked, finding your frustrations adorable.
He reached up and grabbed the books easily with one hand. “Here you go princess, and by the way the pink ruffles are adorable” he smirked.
You furrowed your eyebrows. “Ruffles? Where?- Billy!” You went scarlet. He was clearly referring to your underwear.
“What?!, come on angel, you know you wanna be mine, just imagine it, I’ll be your alpha” he chuckled, he’d fantasied about it many a time.
“I told you... I’m thinking about it... I feel like Steve and Nancy would hate me...” you mumbled, looking at the floor. Billy placed his fingers under your chin and lifted your face up so that your eyes met his beautiful blue ones.
“Well Steve and his little prissy beta can say all they want, I want you so bad Y/N, I wanna mark you” he whispered, leaning down, his lips hovering over your neck, he smiled wide his teeth nearly touching the skin. You let out a soft whimper, wishing that he would just bite down and end all your worry. But he pulled away.
You bit your lip and watched him put his hands back into his jacket pockets and smirk at you.
“Pretty little thing... you should whimper more, you make some beautiful little noises omega” he winked, opening the stock cupboard door and leaving.
You let out a shaky breath. In all honesty, yes you did want Billy. You wanted Billy to claim you and parade you around school as his little omega, but unfortunately you didn’t think Steve or Nancy would approve.
Steve hated Billy, for obvious reasons, but everytime you saw Billy, your gazes would linger and soon enough gazes became words and words became full out conversations. Which evolved into a flirty friendship, something you and Billy both wanted to take to other levels.
Nancy stood mostly by what Steve said, after all Billy hadn’t been particularly kind to her either, not necessarily nasty, just not kind...
Another factor was how protective Billy was. Sometimes a guy could do as much as look at you for too long and Billy would get riled up.
But you were hooked... you needed an alpha and Billy seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
—————
You huffed out a sigh and checked the clock, History tests were always a drag. Billy tapped your shoulder and handed you a note, a small smirk on his face.
You uncrumpled the paper and looked at his scruffy handwriting. It read :
‘Meet after school, My car, see you then shortcake’
You felt a heat rise in your cheeks as you bit your lip and looked back at the board.
Billy Hargrove has you hooked. The bell rang and Billy winked at you as he left to go straight to his car.
You were headed straight to follow him but Nancy grabbed your arm and stopped you.
“You coming to Steve’s later?” She asked, it took one glance to your hand for her to snatch the paper out of it. “Hargrove! Seriously Y/N, if you’re trying to get an alpha at least try someone who’s not an asshole” she muttered.
“Billy’s not an asshole, he can be really sweet... and - he makes me feel -“
“No Y/N, no way, he’s just using you, that’s what he always does to girls... you know this”
“Well I guess I’ll just take the risk then!” You stubbornly stated, grabbing your books and leaving to go to Billy’s car.
Billy threw his cigarette on the floor as he saw you approaching. “What’s wrong princess?” He placed his hand on your cheek and caressed it with his thumb.
“Nothing just people being annoying...” you stated, leaning into his soft touch.
“I can make you forget about all those people my little omega...” he smirked. “How about we head to my place huh?” You nodded and got into his car.
You finally arrived to Billy’s house. He led you straight to his bedroom, excitedly. He had fantasied about this ever since he’d met you, you were a sweet little thing really.
You sat down on his bed and looked around his room, it was a little dirty, a few cans here and there, the ashtray filled to the brim with cigarette buts.
Slowly, Billy approached you. “You have anything you wanna do in mind little one?” He asked, his eyes training on your hesitating form. You bit your lip and carefully nodded.
“I-umm... I think I want you...” you muttered, your heart racing.
“What do you want from me angel?” He sunk down to your level as you sat on the bed.
“C-Claim me... please” Billy chuckled, a dark smirk on his face.
“You really wanna be my omega don’t you?” He pressed a soft kiss to your jaw. “You 100% sure you want me to claim you?” He asked one last time, glancing into your eyes.
You nodded, “please alpha”. Billy’s cock twitched. He pressed a gentle kiss to your lips, his soft lips battling yours to gain the upper hand, you were unable to keep up, submitting to his kiss.
You let out a soft moan as you felt his hand creep up your thigh and under your skirt. “-touch me Billy” Billy chuckled, his fingers roaming up to run over your panties. You felt a wetness pooling as Billy touched your sensitive spot.
“Keep moaning like that my little omega” he growled, kissing and sucking at your neck, he wasn’t going to claim you just yet. This allowed desperation to flood your system as you submitted to him further.
He layed you back onto his bed and took his shirt off, revealing his abs. You couldn’t tear your eyes away from his toned torso. His ego grew as he watched you check him out.
He carefully removed your clothes, leaning his head down to your lips and kissing them again.
“You ready for me to really touch you?” He asked in between kisses. You nodded and whimpered as he lowered himself down to your panties. “These are honestly so adorable” he smirked, removing your panties. You shyed away, feeling very self conscious of your current position.
“You ok? We can stop if you want” he assured, his eyes searching you for any sign of hesitation. You shook your head.
“N-no... I really want you to touch me... I just get a little embarrassed” he smirked and poked his tongue out to start lapping at your clit. You moaned above him, hands gripping his pillows and bedsheets.
You gained more confidence as your reached your hand down and tangled your fingers in his hair. Pulling at his roots as his tongue delved in and out of your folds.
You felt the familiar feeling of a band tightening in your stomach, it took one last lick from Billy’s skillful tongues before it snapped and you came hard. Billy took his fingers and gathered up your juices, “here princess, taste yourself” you took his fingers into your mouth and sucked on them, looking him dead in the eyes.
“My little omega, you’re playing a dangerous game looking so cute whilst doing that” he growled, leaning down and replacing his fingers with his lips. Your hands travelled to his jeans, you unbuckled the belt and pulled them down along with his boxers.
Quickly you broke the kiss, desperate for a taste of his delicious cock. Billy took your hair into his hands and he held you back from his cock, watching you squirm to touch him.
“Please alpha...” you whined.
“You wanna taste my cum angel? You want me to fill up that pretty little mouth of yours?” You nodded vigorously, aching to please him.
His grip on your hair loosened as he pushed you closer to his throbbing cock.
“Give it a little lick baby, see how much it’s aching for you” His eyes rested on your body, how your tongue carefully kitten licked his tip. His cock twitched from the sensation. “Can I suck it alpha?” You whispered, practically worshipping his cock at this point, so desperate to have it.
“Of course you can my little omega” he smirked, grabbing a cigarette from his draw and placing it between his lips. He took a long drag and laid back against the headboard of his bed.
Your lips wrapped around him, your tongue swirling around his tip and gathering up his pre cum that was oozing out of it.
Billy’s breath would hitch occasionally as you licked up his vein. He blew out a puff of smoke, head leaning back as you blew him into bliss. His body tensing and relaxing at the same time.
“I’m gonna cum princess” Billy choked out, his hand going down to your hair as he pushed you further into his cock. You still made eye contact with him, he loved every second of it, his sweet little innocent omega making a dirty mess of herself, gagging around his cock.
You deep throated him at this point, his cock hitting your right at the back, your throat would be sore tomorrow.
Billy felt his cock twitch as he released his cum down your throat, it pumped you full with his seed as you swallowed every last drop.
“That was amazing angel... didn’t know you were so dirty” he chuckled. He watched you squirm a little. “What’s wrong omega? You need me to help that little ache you have down there? Do you need your alpha to pound you?” He smirked. You bit your lip and nodded. “Hands and knees then babygirl” he watched you get ready for him. He for sure had to mark you now, he had to claim you to belong to him and only him.
He rubbed his cock along your slit. His hands rubbing your hips as he readied himself.
He slowly pushed in and held you for a moment, allowing you to adjust to his rather large size.
“O-ok... I’m ready alpha” you mumbled, he chuckled as he thrusted in, his hips meeting yours before he pulled back again. You moaned at his thickness.
“Such a good little omega huh? Always teasing me... wearing them short skirts and knee high socks... and not to mention-“ he leaned over you, his arm holding you as he pounded you from behind. His lips came close to your ear, “when you wear such cute panties” he kissed your ear and gripped your neck, a firm but light grasp around it.
“I-I’m gonna cum...” you whimpered, quivering in Billy’s grasp. Billy shook his head.
“Not yet princess, I’ll tell you when you’re allowed to cum” he growled, his pace increasing.
“Please Billy...” you begged. Your body not being able to take it, from the amount of shaking and the pure force Billy was pounding you, it was like you were his little fuck doll.
“Hold it” he grunted, feeling himself get closer.
You bit your lip and quivered, you needed to cum so badly.
He lifted his lips so that they hovered over your sweet spot on your neck.
“Cum for me angel” he whispered, sinking his teeth into your neck. You were officially claimed.
You screamed his name as your walls clenched around his cock, you milked his cock, “Take all my cum like the good little omega you are” his eyes watched you pant and get flustered as you came down from your orgasm.
“How was that my angel?” He smirked, pulling out of you and picking up your collapsed form and holding you to his chest. Your breathing was uneven and heavy.
“It was perfect Billy” you admired his beautiful face. “Just like you” you smiled, reaching up to touch his cheek and bringing him down into a kiss.
“It’s getting late kitten, how about we head to bed hmm, and tomorrow we can see how Steve and his little priss react to this” he licked his lips, looking at your bruised and claimed form. His thumb rubbed over the mark, admiring it.
He’d never claimed an omega before, he didn’t think he ever would. But something about you made him change a little inside.
You were his omega now, and he sure as hell was going to let everyone know.
