literally minding my own business and then i think about how one of my favorite things is how messiah and ryoji share the right hand on the chest pose.

i don’t think this is anything new to anyone who’s been into p3 for awhile but given that reload’s portraits are shoulders up as opposed to half body, it does make me curious how some of the portraits will be adapted... i like the style of reload’s portraits, it’s very fresh, but i will miss the body language that could be conveyed with half body portraits a bunch...! (e.g. bebe, bunkichi, etc.)

i mostly point out ryoji because i’m a Very Biased Guy, but from my own screenshots of FES, i don’t recall ryoji using the... right hand on chest pose in his model, so it’ll be a bit sad to me to see this detail go poof.. only real ones knows!! /s

of course it’s not to say that messiah being such a great representation of ryoji and minato’s bond will be lost on people, as ryoji’s connection to thanatos is made explicitly known but.. i will miss you ryoji hand on chest portrait... but i will look forward to the style update nevertheless 🙏

Thinking abt Gus' dad being in the oracle track at hexside and abt Gus wanting to see the oracle artifact instead of an illusion one in agony of a witch and about how the magic amplifier allows you to see memories that haunt ppl and about all the eye imagery in labyrinth runners and the oracle covens symbol being an eye and about how Gus is one of the only hexsiders besides Luz to use glyphs (which is wild magic) more than once and about how oracle magic can summon ghosts and how there's a couple figures (namely Caleb and the Titan) haunting the narrative in toh rn.

Anyway what I'm getting at here is Gus s3 necromancer arc when???

People really be talking about peace and love and understanding of others and social justice, then the moment a villain in a children cartoon sees the errors of their way and gets redeemed through love and understanding they yell outraged that they didn't use a guillotine

#Thinking again about steven universe unfair treatment #But this also applies in general #Besides the fact that deserved redemption in a show isn't linked to the villain actions but to how they're portrait by the writers #People in general really need to stop thinking too hard about inconsistencies and stuff in a show with 5yo target demografic #There's a time and a place for some kinds of judgment #And honestly there are things that we as older audience are meant to ignore or just mindlessly go with it #Because a kid wouldn't care #And making something entertaining and fun is more important than a continuity error #That's not to say children media can't be coherent and with complex characters and storylines #But I'm still more willing to let go mistakes in these cases #The target age plays a hard role in that for me #If you're that unable to do that and get outraged because children cartoon characters don't act like real people would then just drop it #Drop children media and go watch or read something for YOUR target demografic #I assure you you'll be happier #And critics will be more meaningful

For how much Lotan gets mentioned, I'm surprised there's no sprite artwork for him. We have artwork of Cerberus and Henry 1.0 for when they show up, but not for Lotan. And while we're at it, Henry the Fish deserves one too. Justice for Levi's boys.

I was painting memorial portraits of my dog and this guy says to me "thanks for ruining our city with bad art" and threatened to throw me off the bridge and in a way its kinda funny but mostly it just makes me sad for this guy yk? Like how do you expect art to become good if its not bad first? Would you rather just not have art? These grey pillars are so much more beautiful to you then a living humans experiences? At the end of the day I'm flattered that my shitty memorial graffiti made someone upset enough to threaten to assault me but also knowing there's so many people w lives so much emptier than my life feels now is terrible. I really feel bad for that guy. I hope he learns abt love, art and gratitude someday

Sorry for being unhinged under the cut. This is a product of my neighbour listening to positive affirmation mantra music at 3am and also the Waitress Soundtrack

I think there's a misconception with Pierre within the idea that he holds a lot of anger and resentment. I think that much is true for sure, but because of it he gets characterized as hardened because of it when deep down that's not the case!

In his career Pierre has never been afforded the same grace or the same kindness as many of his peers have been. Which is not to say that that kindness towards others was not earned, but it's different.

Pierre has been in survival mode for years. years. What you see is not a hardness, or a selfishness, it’s self preservation. And I don't think he truly wears it in this independent way that it's often characterized. I don’t think Pierre is looking particularly to be independent. I think he is trying to be self sufficient because he cant trust anyone not to leave him in that. There’s a difference there that drives some fundamental wants/needs that get missed sometimes. Pierre isn't HE’S NOT AFFORDED THE SAME SOFTNESS as the others. HE LONGS FOR IT JUST THE SAME.

I think about the video from last season when he does the Piñata video, and he says to the presenter about the candy "we should bring this for Checo's kids to have". And then the story from the other day about him bringing that girl with him to testing. He is thoughtful and kind and generous with himself in a way that gets missed.

He will flay himself open the pavement and says: this is Pierre. This is who I am and this is how I feel and I can't change that. I won't change that. I want to believe that is enough.

He feels so much and he doesn't have anywhere to put it!!! He has been made to feel that to cry... to feel is SHAMEFUL. To feel as if you have been stripped of your voice and your humanity enough that you have to write your own article... Where else can that go when you aren't afforded a place to feel? A dream is a soft place to land.
