Poison Arc- what I got so far

Scrolling through his phone, Leo blinked upon remembering he was given a cupcake, by a complete stranger. He was feeling mighty hungry, and it was right there.

"No harm done, I can eat it." He started, shrugging, "Like anything bad could happen! It's a cupcake!" He said to himself with a confident grin, taking a bite into it.

The flavour was good. Pistachio sponge with sweet vanilla frosting, with a light taste of butter. But it also had left an odd tingling on his tongue. He thought it was strange for a few moments, before brushing it off, going back to his phone.

Taking various bites as he scrolled, before his stomach burned, a stinging buzzing rising to his head, and behind his eyes.

His eyes widened with fear, slowly looking down at the small corner of cupcake left. His head felt heavy, a loud ringing making its way into his ears.

He felt sick.

A nervous whine left him, thumbs moving fast, typing out a post, on his account.

"Hey Donnie..have I ever told you how cool you are, I love you man"

It was all he could send as time felt like it was slowing down, hands shaking yet they felt numb. He stood up, the world around him spinning as he went to his closet, the darkest space in his room.

His phone buzzed, getting a notification. He opened it, seeing it was his brother. His brother, who was freaking out.

The red-eared slider opened his camera, taking a selfie, hoping it'd calm his brother. But the longer he stared at it, the more distorted his vision got. He posted it, asking to himself and his followers; Why was he in the closet? Why was it so dark?

He didn't remember why he even went in here, yet all he knew was that his body felt heavy and numb.

Leo had wiped the sweat off his forehead with the sleeve of his hoodie. He heard loud footsteps coming from outside his room and down the hall. He couldn't help but reply back to his brother, saying he "looked fine".

Donatello came into the room, swinging the closet doors open. His eyes were filled with fear, looking down at his brother.

"Heey Donnie" Leo said with a crack in his voice. The soft shell bent down and scooped up his twin brother with a huff. Leo tried to oppose the action, but all he could do was tear up slightly.

Donatello noticed, before he rushed past their eldest brother and to the Med Bay. This wasn't good.

He made quick work to check his brothers vitals, him complaining about it. "Leo, what happened?" He asked, tone a bit harsher than he intended it to be. But he couldn't help it, he was worried.

"They lied. They Lied" Was all the other muttered, Donnie furrowing his brows.

"Who lied?" He asked, trying to get his brother to reiterate a bit better, and to keep him awake with the questioning.

"The cupcake, it wasn't good, something was in it-" Leo said, his breathing getting unsteady and shallow.

Donnie looked at the wrapper his brother was still holding, reaching for it to examine it. Leo tensed up, quickly holding it away from his brother, sweating heavily.

He wasn't going to let Donatello touch it, fear that he too would end up like this.

The purple clad turtle sighed softly. He didn't say another word, just kept watch over his brother.

Leo's breathing was still unsteady, panicked, as he layed his arm over his eyes. Donnie stayed put, lifting his head up once he saw Raph. He'd come by to check up on his younger brother, worried.

"I don't know Raph. There was something in that cupcake, but he refuses to let me examine it," Donnie started, speaking in a whisper. "But I think he was poisoned. What else could've put him in this bad of a state so quickly!"

"Meat Sweats maybe? Maybe it was mystic stuff, Don." The eldest offered as an explanation, this only making the soft shell more frustrated.

"I just want him to get better."

"I know you do..me, you, Mikey and April all do." Raph spoke, voice soft and gentle. Trying to comfort his brother the best he could.

Leo had frowned to himself, hearing all this from where he layed on the medical bed. He squinted when he moved his arm, sitting up. Donatello and Raph looked up at him, the purple turtle immediately standing up and standing next to Leo.

"Leo, no, you need to rest." Donatello said as he glared at his brother. Not because he was mad at him, but because he knew how stubborn his twin could be.

All Leo could do was let out a breathy laugh, his eyes dark from exhaustion and not feeling well. "But I'm fine, really." He said waving his hand, like he wasn't feeling like pure shit.

Donnie pursed his lips, stepping away. "Your vitals do seem better..and you seem stable now.. I guess you can go back to your room." He said, drawling his words out. He saw his eldest leave with a wave, probably off to get something for Leo.

"See! I'm fiiiine! Now go sleep, Don, you need it!" Leo said with a smile. His twin chewed at his bottom lip, unsure of if he actually should.

"If you need me, you'll come get me right?" Donnie asked after being silent for a few moments.

"Yeah, of course!" Leo said as he stood up, patting his brothers shoulder, heading back to his room. He opened his phone to give an update, answer a few questions from his followers.

He'd flipped on his light, smiling upon seeing the wall of art. Art made for him by his fans.

He sat back by on his chair, taking a quick image.

Continuing to answer questions, and sending images of himself as he did so. He felt fine! They needed to know that!

If he felt so fine, then, why was it so hard to breath again? Why did it feel like he was suffocating? Why was the room spinning?

His breath caught in his throat, leaning his cheek onto the palm of his hand. He was starting to panic.

His whole body was full of pins and needles, a cold feeling rushing from his feet to his head, making him feel weak and numb. His senses shut off.

His eyes glazed over, his sudden dead weight causing the chair to tip over as he fainted; A loud thud from his head and body hitting the floor ringing throughout the lair.

Donnie came in quick, cursing himself for even thinking it was okay to sleep.

His heart was racing, the pounding of his heart in his ears when he saw his brother, his twin, fainted on the floor.

"Fuck-!" He cursed outloud, calling for Raph to help him get Leo back to the Med Bay.

The two were panicking as they carried him back, Donnie frustrated at himself for even letting Leo leave! He should've known better!

He took his twins vitals once again, then severely worse than before. Whatever was in that cupcake was strong, and it was killing his brother.

The thought made his stomach churn.

No, he wasn't letting that happen. He was going to help Leo get better.

*pauses poison arc, cracks knuckles* hey everyone, Mikey again. Wild what's going on rn, right? the other day I saw this video of a guy giving a tutorial on how to wrap a living rat with a towel. I don't remember where I found it but I'm obsessed with the video now. Anyways recently learned I learned no god will take me and I'm destined to be an earthbound spirit for eternity how cool is that?
