loving you.

Walking together in the rain,

Hand in hand, lady and her swain,

Fervent susurrus between them,

Fading into the loud mayhem,

An innocent sight that is plain.

Yet behold a scene that's in vain,

Smiling faces that betray pain,

Clinging onto each other's hem,

Right for one and other, wrong time.

Still need to grow, so they abstain,

Deep love, not wanting to constrain,

Savouring their last chance, their gem,

They part ways for the other's gain,
