sooo sick of ablebodied neurodivergent / mental health advocacy that throws physically disabled people under the bus.
if someone is being ableist to you or shaming you for your mental health and you respond by telling them they wouldn't say that to a physically disabled person, you have 0 idea how ableism works.
"you wouldn't tell wheelchair user to just walk!" yes they would.
"you wouldn't tell someone with a cane to just go gluten free / vegan / etc!" yes they would.
"you wouldn't tell someone with chronic pain to just suck it up!" yes they would.
"you wouldn't say that to someone with dwarfism!" yes they would.
"you wouldn't tell a blind person they're faking!" yes they would.
"you wouldn't-" yes. they. would.
by doing this you are treating physically disabled people like our problems with ableism aren't real or aren't taken seriously. you are using us as a talking point without caring about us. you are making it clear that you don't understand how ableism affects us and that you don't care to learn.
this is not "lateral ableism" you are straight up punching down. you as an ablebodied¹ person have privilege over physically disabled people.
if you feel like saying "but physically disabled people can oppress neurodivergent people too!" true! but that's not an excuse for your behaviour. also, disabled people are 4.6 times more likely to experience frequent mental distress than abled people.² so a lot of the time it's not that they're opressing you. it is that you can't conceive of physically disabled people also being mentally ill.
¹ obviously there are cases where conditions affect both the brain and body (ie. very high support needs autism), and the line is not always clear in these cases, but these people are not the people perpetuating this problem, nor are they the ones i'm talking about in this post.

So, because I can’t leave well enough alone and Some Shit Happened today, I put together some resources that affirm that if you are a person who identifies as nonbinary, you can and do fit under the trans umbrella. Of course, you do not HAVE to refer to yourself or think of yourself as trans, but it was a really important part of my journey as a nonbinary person to realize that I was “allowed” to be in the trans community, because, and this is the important part, *all this is required to be trans is that you do not identify with the gender you were assigned at birth.” That’s it. End of qualifications needed to ID as trans.
If you are nonbinary and don’t WANT to identify as trans, then don’t. But I think it’s important to know that you’re allowed to, and we enbies who do identify as trans are happy to have you be part of our family.

“Why do we use umbrella terms?
“Umbrella terms” are words that are used to describe a large range of concepts or experiences in simplified terms. For example, painting is an umbrella term that can be used to talk about oil paintings and watercolours, detailed brushwork to splatter art, and even changing the colour of a house. Similarly, trans and gender diverse, trans, and transgender are umbrella terms for a population of people whose gender is different to what was presumed for them at birth. The term trans is inclusive of binary trans people (women and men who are trans), non-binary trans people, Sistergirls and Brotherboys. Umbrella terms are an often imperfect but helpful solution to trying to talk about a wide range of experiences that are closely related in some ways, but very different in others. No two trans people will have the same experience of being trans, but we have similar experiences that may not be shared with cis people. Trans and gender diverse people are also a socially and legally marginalised population, and coming together under these umbrellas of identity is an important way of advocating for ourselves and each others’ rights despite the differences we may have.” (https://www.transhub.org.au/101/what-is-trans#why-do-we-use-umbrella-terms)
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6830997/
“Like genderqueer, non-binary can be traced to the work of transgender and transsexual authors who resisted or transcended gender binaries, for example Bornstein, who stated that ‘Gender fluidity recognizes no borders or rules of gender.’ (1994, p. 52). The earliest use of terms referring directly to non-binary seems to be around 2000, for example Haynes and McKenna’s (2001) collection Unseen Genders: Beyond the Binaries.”
“Overall, academic production has not kept pace with the growth of non-binary identities, and there are difficulties with erasure of non-binary within the broader transgender category (Fiani & Han, 2018). “
“Monro and Van der Ros (2017) demonstrate the way in which state apparatus and the medical establishment can operate to perpetuate a socially marginal position for non-binary people. Gender binarism may be compounded by trans*3-normativity – “the belief that there is only one way for trans* people to practice their gender…[it] suggests that all trans* people should transition from one socially knowable sex to another” (Nicolazzo, 2016, p. 1175). These forces, which operate at cultural, institutional, policy, and legal levels, combine to perpetuate narrow models of sex, gender, and sexual identity.”
https://glaad.org/transgender/transfaq/
“Everyone has a gender identity, an internal sense of self and perception of one’s own gender. For some people their gender identity is the same as the sex they were assigned at birth (cisgender) and for some people their gender identity is different than the sex they were assigned at birth (transgender).

There have always been transgender people who felt that their gender identity didn’t fall neatly into the two binary categories of “man” or “woman.” In the past, trans people who felt that way used the words genderqueer and genderfluid to describe that experience. While those words are still used today, it’s now more common for people to call themselves non-binary if they feel their gender identity is something other than “man” or “woman.” People who use the word non-binary to describe their gender identity typically also call themselves transgender.”

Indotriconodon flies,baby!
Tumblr media
By omegafreelancer
So learning that Indotriconodon magnus – an already impressive animal in being a large sized Mesozoic mammal and an unambiguous eutriconodont from the Maastrichtian – is also a volaticothere I naturally had to commission it in its likely volant form.
Tumblr media
Volaticotheria phylogenetic tree by Bajpai et al 2024
Its debuting study also recover Sangarotherium and Eotriconodon as volaticotheres. The former in particular is the only mammal in an Arctic environment dominated by other synapsids (Averianov et al 2020), so it clearly must have been able to fly and migrate when other crown mammals couldn’t.
Things just keep looking up for volaticothere flight, which I already extensively argued for with the marine deposition and lack of dental wear of Ichthyoconodon, the early cosmopolitan distribution of the group, the fact that Volaticotherium‘s hand is largely missing and the fact that gliding mammals are primarily herbivorous (Luo 2017).
Naturally, I also used this image to forward my speculative volaticotheres over at Lemuria.
What a wonderous day.

McKinsey and Providence colluded to force poor patients into destitution
Tumblr media
Providence is a health giant whose anchor is a network of Catholic hospitals. They colluded with McKinsey to steal from their poorest patients, by deceiving them about their eligibility for free care, saddling poor, sick people with crushing debts:
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/24/business/nonprofit-hospitals-poor-patients.html
Though Providence is nominally a nonprofit, but it sits atop a $10 billion private equity fund that it invests in unrelated sectors. Its nonprofit status lets it evade $1.2 billion per year in federal and state taxes. The company stole $500,000,000 in US covid relief intended for hospitals in danger of closure. Its CEO makes $10,000,000 per year.
As a nonprofit, Providence is required to provide free care to low-income patients. In 2018, the company retained the services of McKinsey and Co, a scandal-haunted global consulting firm with a long track record of designing criminal strategies for its clients. There are many ghastly examples of this conduct — for example, helping the Saudi government hunt down, torture and murder dissidents:
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/22/business/dealbook/mckinsey-saudi-dissidents.html
Closer to home, McKinsey crafted ICE’s immigration sweeps and helped design the notorious kids-in-cages detention centers, counselling the Trump administration to control costs by denying detainees adequate food and health care:
https://www.propublica.org/article/how-mckinsey-helped-the-trump-administration-implement-its-immigration-policies
(McKinsey then lied about this)
https://www.propublica.org/article/mckinsey-called-our-story-about-its-ice-contract-false-its-not
All these failures and scandals are even more infuriating when you learn about McKinsey’s internal mythologizing. The company tells new recruits that they are a global force for good, comparing their consulting work to the Catholic Church and the US Marine Corps.
https://www.propublica.org/article/how-mckinsey-makes-its-own-rules
This is an obviously absurd claim — no matter how many people McKinsey helps murder, they’ll never come close to either institution’s body-count. But McKinsey has a comprehensive plan to sell this image to its “associates,” starting with a curriculum to help very young children learn to act like McKinsey consultants:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/02/15/management-jesuits/#pmc-jr
But a recurring motif in the long symphony of McKinsey scandals are those involving health-care. They made $100,000,000 in failed, idiotic, bumbling covid initiatives:
https://pluralistic.net/2020/07/15/3-frauds-in-a-trenchcoat/#failing-up
They designed Big Pharma’s price-gouging program:
https://pluralistic.net/2021/11/25/strikesgiving/#cool-story-pharma-bro
They helped the Sacklers — a multigeneration crime family of pharma billionaires whose Oxycontin set off the opioid epidemic — design their sales program, suggesting that pharma distributors be paid cash bounties for each fatal opioid overdose in their sales territory:
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/03/business/mckinsey-opioids-settlement.html
They helped pharma companies design programs to convince doctors to overprescribe opiods:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/06/30/mckinsey-mafia/#everybody-must-get-stoned
Then, after the Sacklers declared their pharma company bankrupt, protecting their billions from their victims, McKinsey helped craft their bankruptcy strategy, ensuring that they could vaporize their victims’ claims while holding onto their fortune:
https://pluralistic.net/2021/07/29/impunity-corrodes/#morally-bankrupt
As all this was coming to light, a senior McKinsey specialist drafted a plan to hide the company’s role in the opioid crisis, illegally destroying internal memos relating to litigation:
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/27/business/mckinsey-purdue-oxycontin-opioids.html
In light of all this, it’s only natural that Providence would turn to McKinsey when they needed help committing crimes and destroying thousands of people’s lives. McKinsey helped Providence craft a program to coerce poor people into paying for care they were entitled to get for free. They called it “Rev-Up.”
Writing in the New York Times, Jessica Silver-Greenberg and Katie Thomas reveal the full depravity of “Rev-Up.” McKinsey advised Providence to train its staff to avoid truthfully answer poor patients’ queries about whether they were eligible for free care.
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/24/business/nonprofit-hospitals-poor-patients.html
When patients asked if they were eligible for free care, Providence employees were trained to answer “Payment is expected.” Staff were told “Don’t accept the first ‘no.’” Rather, they were told to reply, “How would you like to pay for that today?” If patients still pressed them on their legal entitlement to free care, Providence employees were told to ask if the patients’ employers would pay for half their care.
When patients asked why a nonprofit hospital was asking them to pay more than they could afford, reps were counseled to reply, “We are a nonprofit. However, we want to inform our patients of their balances as soon as possible and help the hospital invest in patient care by reducing billing costs.”
After saying this, reps were supposed to add, “how would you like to take care of this today?”
If patients continued to press Providence reps on their eligibility for free care, then, finally, could the reps discuss the hospital’s legal obligation to wipe out the bills for those in need.
Charity care costs the average US nonprofit hospital 2% of its total expenses. For Providence, it’s less than 1%. In 2018, when the company hired McKinsey to design Rev-Up, it was 1.24%.
In pursuing a <1% reduction of expenses, the “nonprofit” ruined the lives of thousands of poor people, including its own employees, who are so badly paid that they qualify for free care. The Times quotes Bev Kolpin, a Providence Oregon sonogram tech who paid her own employer $8,000 to have a cyst removed (she had to take unpaid leave for the procedure).
Michael Hudson tells us that “debts that can’t be paid, won’t be paid.” Poor people can’t afford to pay the sticker price of care at Providence, so Providence sent thuggish collection agencies to hound patients (including Medicaid patients) to pay the balances that should have never been assessed.
The Times spoke to patients who were taken to collections by Providence and thereafter avoided seeking care for themselves and their children, even for urgent conditions. Dean A. Zerb, a former congressional staffer who investigated nonprofit hospitals, said “That is the outcome that hospitals like Providence may be hoping for.”
One of the most haunting details in the Times report is the story of Vanessa Weller, a single mother in Alaska, who delivered a premature baby at the Providence Alaska Medical Center. The baby died five days later, but Weller was pursued for $125,000 in medical bills by Providence. As a manager at a local Wendy’s, she was entitled to have her bill erased. Instead, she was relentlessly chased by bill-collectors and her credit rating fell from 650 to 400.
Providence professes to be shocked, shocked that all this happened. Providence CFO Gregory Hoffman told the Times that the news that his company had failed in its legal obligations after paying a consultant to teach them how to do this “very concerning,” adding that these victimized patients “have our attention.” McKinsey made at least $45,000,000 for designing Rev-Up.
I have my own experience with Providence, though not nearly so disturbing. In 2018, my parents came to stay with me in Burbank. My father fell gravely ill — he had kidney stones and a septic bladder infection. He went to the local Providence ER and nearly died. He was in a coma for two days. As my mother stood at his bed-side, not knowing if he would live out the day, a billing agent for the hospital came into the room and began to pester her about how she would pay his bill.
Thankfully, my parents are retired, unionized schoolteachers from Canada, and they were fully insured. But insured or not, it was such a disgusting, filthy, callous thing to do that I have never forgotten it. Thankfully, my father made a full recovery but I have no interest in ever visiting a Providence hospital
[Image ID: A collage. On the left is an image of a cigar-chomping plutocrat in a top hat. He stands at a control box whose lever is fashioned into a dollar-sign. The control box bears the logo of McKinsey and Company. In one gloved hand, he holds aloft a sad, cloth-capped young man on crutches. On the right is an ogrish thug wielding a club and holding out his free hand in a 'gimme' gesture. He wears a doctor's reflector around his head. Behind them is a hospital ward. On the wall of the hospital ward is the logo for Providence hospitals.]

Normalize midwifery and homebirths
A well-trained midwife can actually provide almost 90% of the health and medical support and services pregnant women and new mothers and their babies need, along with serving as advocates on other women’s health and rights issues and increase a positive birthing experience by 60%- women who have a midwife or doula experience little to no anxiety during labor, have a greater postpartum recovery, over 60% end up not tearing and c-section rates plummet as well as unnecessary medical interventions which increase chances to breastfeeding, decrease lower costs, and reduce labor induction.
A substantial increase in coverage of midwife-delivered interventions could avert 41% of maternal deaths, 39% of neonatal deaths, and 26% of stillbirths, equating to 2·2 million deaths averted per year by 2035. -https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7758876/
“"If you scaled up midwives, you would avert over 80 percent of maternal deaths,” Kennedy said.“- http://c-hit.org/2018/10/30/midwives-could-be-key-to-reversing-maternal-mortality-trends/
Among low-risk women, planned home births result in low rates of interventions without an increase in adverse outcomes for mothers and babies.
Women who had midwives experienced a reduction in child birth fear and caesarean section rates, improvements in childbirth self-efficacy, less distressing flashbacks of the birth and improved parenting confidence.
When it comes to home-birth modern medicine likes to depict it as scary and dangerous, the reality?
This meta-analysis looked at 14 studies including data from around 500,000 intended home births. The authors found that, “The risk of perinatal or neonatal mortality was not different when birth was intended at home or in hospital.” (Hutton et al 2019). Home births are in fact safe and can be argued as safer when it comes to avoiding medical interventions which unnecessary medical interventions INCREASE the rate of c-sections, infections, PTSD, postpartum depression, struggle breastfeeding, tears, slower recovery rate, etc.
“Among nulliparous women intending a home birth in settings where midwives attending home birth are well-integrated in health services, the odds ratio (OR) of perinatal or neonatal mortality compared to those intending hospital birth was 1.07 (95% Confidence Interval [CI], 0.70 to 1.65); and in less integrated settings 3.17 (95% CI, 0.73 to 13.76). Among multiparous women intending a home birth in well-integrated settings, the estimated OR compared to those intending a hospital birth was 1.08 (95% CI, 0.84 to 1.38); and in less integrated settings was 1.58 (95% CI, 0.50 to 5.03).” (Hutton et al 2019).
After comparing data from births planned at home birth, in birth centres and in hospital, researchers found that high-quality studies found no statistically significant difference in infant mortality between the different settings, although women giving birth at home or in birth centres were more likely to have a normal vaginal birth. In fact, women planning home births were nearly three times more likely to have a normal (that is, non-instrumental) vaginal birth than women planning a hospital birth.
And another study
Planned home birth may be experienced as a very positive occurrence for nulliparous women, and the care those women in this study received contained several elements that can help to promote normal labour and birth at a time in which reducing interventions in maternity care is of importance. Their positive birth experiences gave the women confidence both in their transition to motherhood as well as in other aspects of life. -Skrondal et al (2020)
Positive birth experiences are important and most women experience a positive birth experience in a setting with a trusted midwife, a comfortable atmosphere where they are in control, a lack of unnecessary medical interventions and this generally takes place AT HOME.
Perhaps ask why hospitals encourage medical interventions, c-sections, inductions, and hospital births? 💰 just look at the bill.
An average uncomplicated vaginal birth costs about 60% less in a home than in a hospital. Home birth provides immediate bonding and breastfeeding. Early breastfeeding helps the mother stop bleeding, clears mucus from the baby's nose and mouth, and transfers disease-fighting antibodies in the milk from mother to baby.
One economic analysis found that if 10% of hospital births occurred in birthing centers or at home, the healthcare system could save $11 billion per year "without compromising safety."
It's time we take a look at our current medical system when it pertains to pregnancy and how it is impacting mothers and their children.

Nine others died in the August 23 plane crash that reportedly killed Yevgeny Prigozhin, the mercenary leader who staged a brief mutiny against Russia’s Defense Ministry in late June. Prigozhin’s death isn’t verified yet, but Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency has confirmed that he was on the passenger list. The other high-profile passenger aboard the doomed flight was Dmitry Utkin, the Wagner Group commander whose callsign is the basis for the company’s very name. Journalists at BBC Russian and the Dossier Center collected information about the other passengers and crew members who perished in the crash. Meduza summarizes these reports.
Passengers
Valery Chekalov
Chekalov managed multiple companies in St. Petersburg that were linked to Prigozhin. BBC Russia learned that his acquaintances logged his number in their phones as “Valery Evgenievich Syria,” “Valery Chekalov Concord Army,” and “Valery Evgenievich Chekalov from Prigozhin.” From 2011 to 2018, he headed the company “Kollektiv-Servis,” which won a contract with the Defense Ministry’s Commissary in 2012 to supply food to the army. Around the same time, the company registered an entity with a mess hall in Sevastopol, the home of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.
Chekalov also managed a company created in 2014 called “Neva,” which operated the subsidiary “Evro Polis” — the same Evro Polis that signed a memorandum with the Syrian government in 2016 to recapture and guard oil facilities in exchange for the value of 25 percent of the oil and gas produced there, according to reporting by the news outlet Fontanka.
Evgeny Makaryan
Born in Magnitogorsk, Makaryan was a former police officer. According to the Dossier Center, he joined Wagner Group in March 2016, serving in its fourth assault detachment in Syria, where he was wounded. BBC Russian calls him one of Prigozhin’s bodyguards.
Sergey Propustin
Propustin is listed at Myrotvorets, the Ukrainian website that names and sometimes doxxes people its authors consider to be “enemies of Ukraine.” Myrotvorets identifies him as a grenadier reconnaissance officer and Wagner Group fighter. According to the Dossier Center, Propustin fought in the Second Chechen War. He reportedly joined Wagner in March 2015 and fought in its second reconnaissance assault detachment, from which Prigozhin would later recruit several of his personal bodyguards. Accordingly, BBC Russian reports that Propustin was another Prigozhin bodyguard.
Alexander Totmin
Myrotvorets lists Totmin too. It’s unknown when he started working for Prigozhin, but journalists learned that he was living in St. Petersburg as recently as 2022. His phone number shows up in shared databases identified as “Sanya Work PMC,” “Totmin Sanya Kontora Piter,” and “Alexander W.” In August 2012, a court in the Altai Krai sentenced him to 300 hours of community service for stealing a chainsaw from a bathhouse located on someone else’s property. In September 2014, he was sentenced to two years of probation for car theft.
Nikolai Matuseev
Researchers at the Dossier Center believe that the Nikolai Matuseev listed among the plane-crash passengers is the same one who joined Wagner Group in January 2017. He was a gunner in the organization’s fourth assault detachment in Syria.
Crew
Rustam Karimov
The aircraft’s 29-year-old second pilot, Karimov lived with his wife in Perm. He graduated from the Sasovo Flight School in Russia’s Ryazan region in 2014. Karimov’s father told reporters that his son was unemployed at the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He says Rustam found work three months ago with MNT-Aero, the company that owns the crashed plane, and then moved to St. Petersburg.
Alexey Levshin
Levshin was the plane’s captain. His daughter Anastasia told the news outlet RBC that her father had worked with Prigozhin for many years, though she provided no further details. BBC Russian discovered that Levshin was featured in a 2018 broadcast by the television network Vesti Novosibirsk about an airshow that included military pilots. In the story, he was identified as the navigator of a Sukhoi Su-34 crew.
Kristina Raspopova
Raspopova was the plane’s flight attendant. Thirty-nine years old, she was born in what is now Kazakhstan. According to the news outlet 74.ru, her younger brother is the deputy prosecutor in Yemanzhelinsk, a city in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region. She attended the Moscow Finance and Law University and lived for some time in Yekaterinburg before moving to Moscow. The Telegram channel Baza reports that she relocated to St. Petersburg after finding a job at MNT-Aero.
Posts on social media indicate that Raspopova often traveled abroad, sharing photos from Jamaica, Singapore, Austria, and other countries. Multiple times, she flew aboard a business jet similar to the plane that crashed: an Embraer Legacy with the tail number RA-02857 based at Vnukovo International Airport, which she frequented. According to Baza, Raspopova spoke to her family a few hours before her final flight departed and said that the plane had been delayed for some reason.

Pets offer numerous benefits to their owners, both physically and mentally. Here are some of the key benefits:
Reduces Stress and Anxiety: Interaction with pets has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol, a stress-related hormone. This can help reduce stress and anxiety[1][7][10].
Improves Heart Health: Regular walking or playing with pets can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels, which are beneficial for cardiovascular health[1][3][4][9].
Boosts Mood and Self-esteem: Pets can trigger feelings of comfort, security, and emotional support, which can have positive effects on humans by counteracting feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety, and depression[5].
Promotes Physical Activity: Owning a pet, specifically a dog, can significantly impact an individual’s level of physical activity. People with dogs engage in more minutes of physical activity per week[3][9].
Strengthens the Immune System: Multiple studies examining children’s exposure to pets found protective effects against allergies and increased immunity[3].
Improves Social Skills: Pets can be a great social lubricant for their owners, helping you start and maintain new friendships. Dog owners frequently stop and talk to each other on walks, hikes, or in a dog park[7].
Alleviates Feelings of Loneliness: Pets can help manage loneliness and depression by providing companionship[4][9].
Improves Coping Mechanisms: Pet owners have reported significantly better coping self-efficacy and significantly more positive emotions[2].
Remember, the benefits of owning a pet are not just limited to dogs and cats. Other animals, such as rabbits, can also provide similar benefits[7]. However, it's important to note that owning a pet also brings new responsibilities, such as knowing how to care for and feed an animal[1].

On Names
And How I Have Encountered Them in the Craft
There’s a special power in names. They represent something about us beyond just a word we answer to. Names that say something about who we are, who we love, who loves us. They can give a voice to hearts and souls. Or, as is sometimes necessary, they’re designed to hide who we are. When you call upon a deity or a spirit, the name you use can honor them or speak to their different aspects.
Names can christen a tool and ensure it remains loyal to us. They can acknowledge the spirit of the tool and awaken it. They can be used to summon and honor spirits—or to bind and banish them. A name alone can define a context and a space to interact with a spirit with. When you use a formal title to call upon an entity, by name alone you’re establishing a sacred space. When you call upon a named aspect of an entity, you’re establishing purpose and intent with them.
Kennings, or poetic epithets, feature prominently in Norse mythology. In Skaldskaparmal, the narrator bestows kennings upon numerous figures based on their traits, their deeds, and their relationships. Tyr is hailed as the “One-handed God” and the “Fosterer of the Wolf”, both referring to his role in the story of Fenrir (where, as you may have guessed, he loses a hand to a wolf that he helped raise). Loki receives the name “Benchmate” of Odin” but also the “thief of the Giants, of the Goat, of Brísinga-men, and of Idunn's Apples” (1). It reflects the complex role Loki plays as both the blood-brother of Odin and the mischievous trickster.
Pagan practices often place special emphasis on names from their tradition. Many choose a name for themselves or, depending on their path, may receive a name. Anyone who’s perused a list of witchy authors will be familiar with this. Author Clio Ajana shares her experience with names in a religious context in “Column: How Do You Get Your Name?” She describes how she settled on the name the article is published under, which took years to decide on and happened by accident at first. (4)
If you have a Catholic background like I do, you may also have experience with confirmation names. Those being confirmed select a patron saint and take on their name. While exact requirements and rationales vary by location and tradition, many choose saints whose virtues they wish to embody or who they want to work closely with (3).
Names can be precious and worth protecting. Many people hold their most sacred names close to themselves. Pagan initiatory traditions often gift a name to their participants that they keep private (4). Additionally, I think of queer people who keep their chosen names close and share them only with a trusted few (either as a temporary measure before sharing it widely or in the long-term). While this is often for safety more than anything else, there is a sacredness in that community.
Not all names are designed to identify. When a person wants to remain anonymous they often choose a pseudonym, which might be devoid of personality or might present a certain mask. Think of donors to a conservation charity who identify themselves as “Anonymous” or “Hawk lover”. Usernames are another example of protecting your identity with a name while still expressing something of yourself. These anonymous names carry a liminal quality with them. You’re there, but no one knows you are. They’re fleeting, only existing for a brief moment before fading away, or only appearing under the right circumstance.

It wasn’t even a cardiologist who prescribed them to me either!!! In theory they were supposed to be a safe bet because they had been prescribed to me in the past (for social anxiety,, by a psychiatrist who didn’t gaf abt me,,, & I never even really took them).
But that was before I found out they could cause hallucinations!!!! And sometimes??? something else called Toxic Psychosis???????? Don’t know what the FUCK that is!!!!
I’m also still supposed to see a cardiologist and get one of those 24/7 halter monitors, but I just keep putting it off.
(It’s bad I know - but I gotta call and make an appointment and then drive across town to MAYBE get the fuckin thing)
Also Metoprolol is another one that is known to more commonly cause hallucinations and stuff too, since both Metoprolol and Propranolol are both lipophilic agents.
| Metoprolol 🤝Propranolol |
Psychological warfare
This covers it better/goes into it more ->

- 💛
YOWHAT my first peracription for propanolol was ALSO for anxiety, ALSO by a psychiatrist who didnt gaf abt me!!! i told the story a while back but she treated me like i was [SLUR REDACTED] once she pegged me as autistic and tried to UNdiagnose me with aspd and diagnose me with bpd. the SECOND TIME SHE SAW ME!!! like its clear she just thought i had bpd bc i was autistic and traumatized and she saw me as a woman and That's The Traumatized Girl One!
do i aktually have bpd? iunno, i cant trust these cucks!!! i do have some traits of it tho nglllll but just traits teehee. funny enuf i had an oc back in 2018, way before my diagnoses, who had aspd/npd with bpd traits. what in the foreshadowing
ANYWAY toxic psychosis sounds like some new buzzword the narc abuse people made up. i am afraid to know what it ACTUALLY is bexause it sounds really very not good
GO SEE THE HEART DOCTOR!!! the sooner u get ir it done the sooner its OVER WITH!!! also if u get the kind that sticks to ur chest, tape it down when u sleep or wear a REALLY tight shirt, otherwise itll peel in the morning. like the tape tjar keeps it on u yk. tell then ur having CHEST PAIN. doctors donf fuck around with chesr pain. if u can somehow trigger a heart episode in urself that would also be poggers. anything to get them to listen but yeah say u have CHEST PAIN and u can feel ur heart beating in ur chest. worked for me!!!
also ty for the studuy!! ill read it 2morrow and make sure to NOT get metoprolol cuz ion want a repeat of the SAME ASS PROBLEM or worse.......a worse peoblem

I have to admit though while I didn’t really try to engage with it, the lack of hype for the comics at PMC this year was very weird.  I don’t think Boom even had an official booth???  I guess they used last month’s SDCC as their time in the spotlight but......still.......i remember how crazy PMC 2018 was for the comics with a Boom booth, con-exclusive variants, the panel with all the crazy reveals, and of course the Iconique Shattered Grid read-through with all the actors.  This just felt so empty in comparison, especially for what would be the lead-up to the 100th issue.  idk
