There are four main types of Batfam fans in regard to how people interpret Bruce Wayne as a dad (/Joking. This is mostly satire and should not be taken seriously):
Fans that think Bruce is emotionally constipated and isn't the best at being a parent but still tries (Differs per person). Don't necessarily think he's absuive but thinks he can be toxic or have unhealthy expectations for the Robins. Can smell the Oldest Daughter Syndrome coming from Dick and have Family Line (By Conan Gray) as their top song on their Dick inspired playlist and Daddy Issues (By The Neighbourhood) for Jason.
Fans that choose to believe Bruce goes to therapy in their own canon. Love B:WFA. Thinks the comic can be cheesy at times and so find a balance between B:WFA Bruce and Please Go To Therapy BruceTM as their middle ground. He struggles. They advocate that Bruce is not a bad parent, he just has bad writers that seem to forget Bruce wouldn't hurt kids, especially not his own. Love the humane moments and scenes he has in BTAS and the early JL cartoons. He may not be perfect but he's not literally abusive. Whores for Bruce being able to admit when he is wrong and for Jason and Bruce reconciling. I recommend Grow As We Go by Ben Platt for this one.
A mix between the first two. Was fine-ish when Dick was younger. Didn't help him in the healthiest way but eh. Still emotionally constipated but that happened more so after Dick left and Jason died. Started getting better when Tim came back but was still closed off. Should probably go to therapy with the kids so they can drag his ass about all the things he's done that have actually affected them negatively. Understands his mistakes and is also able to admit when he's wrong, eventually. It's not easy but he starts to do better and learns to be more emotionally available. Still has to get chewed out by Alfred sometimes but definitely better than he used to be and it shows. Reconciliation is slow and gradual but progress is made for everyone involved.
The one's I personally avoid for my own sanity and wellbeing:
Think Bruce is a complete bastard and abuser. Want him to choke. Hate any and all interpretations of him. Some of which will refuse to understand how anyone could have a different interpretation. Will point out comics where, in all fairness, he is a dick but forget that characterisation can significantly differ from one series to the next, as comic characters are constantly passed around to different writers and have been for decades. Not to mention movies, shows, etc.

Half-formed headcanon that the previous Archdruid Halsin replaced was the one that advised his village's council and elders when he was an elfling. Maybe he was even from a similar branch of the High Forest originally, so he made the trek to visit their specific areas when his grove was situated closer.
He would make time when he wasn't busy to speak to the village children and learn their names and show them little tricks and give blessings and share stories and lessons with them. He became much like another adult in the community - a teacher and a guiding hand, but special because he only came around once in a while. It became pretty routine of them all (Halsin included) to anticipate his visits even though they weren't incredibly frequent. There would be excited little whispers on the breeze and giggles in the rustling bushes when he was expected, his telltale shadow stretching on the forest floor, the lot of them hiding underfoot and impatiently waiting for business to be finished so he would come out to play with them.
His visits became farther and fewer in between as Halsin got older due to needing to focus on things elsewhere, until he was eventually unable to come anymore, and was replaced by another druid in his stead.
Halsin years later reflecting back on him and thinking to seek the druid out again to be trained under his guidance after Halsin reaches his maturation epiphany, since he had nothing left keeping him in High Forest. Solely because he remembers looking up at that man and thinking: "I want to be like him when I grow up". So why not give it an attempt? And - on a wing and a prayer - with only a vague idea of where he might still be situated, he packs up and pursues.

Most of my sinus infection has cleared up besides the occasional cough and irritated throat but now this ear infection.... everything hurts can I please have a break before I have to go back to work just a day without pain so I can clean up my sicknest without feeling like ass
#i live with my parents but my mom is having a horrible flair up of RA so she's bedbound and can't help me at all and dad is the only one#the only one working atm so he's not doing anything besides that#its just a little frustrating because whenever mom is sick from her flare ups or if dad gets the sniffles im like#I'm like what can i do for you are you comfortable do you need anything can i make you food let me clean up etc#but when i go down for 3 days of being visibly miserable everything i ask is the world#ask dad to pick up my perscription but god forbid i ask him to do any other task on the way home that involves making 2 SEPARATE LOCATIONS#ita fine hes just. idk#plus mom has her RA flare up and idk#it just feels like nobody in this house is particularly sympathetic when im feeling miserable but im ALWAYS sympathetic when they are#the first 2 days i was doing nothing but sleeping or rolling in pain in my room and no one came to check in on me to see how i was doing#then yesterday my mom says shes taking us both into urgent care but leaves without me in the morning when i was too sick to wake up when she#called for me.#she was like I just really was in so much pain and you didnt get up and i wanted to go asap and i called you#anyway so because i was so sick i couldnt wake up i had to drive myself to urgent care which is also fine im a big boy#anyway. circumstances or whatever. im also real salty bc ive felt like shit for like 4 days

Listen, I know younglings nowadays are used to the over polished emo ✨aesthetic✨ pics you see online but back when emo wasn't cool we only had one single pair of skinny jeans and whatever we could find at the local indian shop. Also Hot Topic is just an american thing << we couldn't find good pieces of apparel so our options were limited to creativity - pulling out uniposca markers and bycycle chains to make things look barely decent.
Everything in that ensemble hurts horribly, I think the ones who were teenagers in the 00s know it :'D

as an outsider to the subculture i really adore looking at lolita fashion photoshoots and advertisements 1) because its an interesting alternative fashion style and its cool to see but also 2) whatevers going on in some of these photoshoots prop and styling wise is BUCKWILD and im like. im too distracted to pay attention to what clothing item is being advertised because this is just an awesome character design LIKE hold on lemme grab some examples

i had a dream about polin but it half made sense so i'm posting this
so colin goes to cyprus or wherever he goes off season like before the new season starts. pen refuses to write to him and after a few un answered letters he just starts writing letters to her about the trip and not sending them. he writes them bc he doesn't feel like he can talk about it with anyone else other than pen. by the time the new season is starting he makes his way back to mayfair, he has this huge wad of letters that he wrote for pen, like theyre enveloped and wax sealed and everything. and he doesn't show them to anyone. behind his back, someone in his family like violet or anthony knows about this wad of letters all addressed and wrapped with a pretty little bow, and they don't mention it to him, they just keep it in mind.
the season drolls on and he's giving her lessons to get suitors, falling in love with her, etc. and something happens, 1) colin not understanding how to know when you're in love, and whoever knows about the letters walks over to his desk and drops it on his lap and is like "there's your proof." OR 2) pen is not convinced that he loves her or something and he gives it to her as proof. (or both of these)
