sonic movie 3 has the opportunity to do the coolest fucking thing ever if they adapt tails and eggman's sa2 story/conflict/foil thing by making it tails vs agent stone. you've got two sidekicks who derive(d) so much of their purpose and self-worth from a central figure in their lives, and with robotnik dead, stone is seeking to preserve his hero's legacy even in the midst of his grief. but stone sees tails, this annoyingly tech-savvy kid who constantly foils his schemes alongside sonic, the person stone holds responsible for killing robotnik - and stone sees painful reminders of how much he desired to be by robotnik's side. so his plan to enact revenge becomes twofold - crush sonic beneath his foot, and crumble the esteem and newfound family of a fox kit who has everything stone never got to have. it'd make the final tails stage in sa2 even more impactful because of those narrative additions, where similar to the agent, tails fights for his brother even though sonic is presumably gone - but with a heart of sky rather than a heart of stone.

To him, after a lifetime of wanting nothing but to kill a dragon, Hiccup's suddenly and inexplicably changed his mind. To him, Hiccup saying he can't kill them is just like when Valka refused to and tried convincing others as well, then as a result was 'killed' by one herself.

To him, way Hiccup tossed his weapon and shield to the side then approached Hookfang while speaking about how dragons aren't what people think they are probably bares an uncomfortable resemblance to the way Valka put down her weapon and stared a dragon in the eyes and as a result was taken.

To him, attempting to do anything but preemptively defend yourself against a dragon will only end in tragedy, so he has to do anything he can to stop Hiccup before it's too late.

(And just like with Valka, he unintentionally escalated the situation by trying to protect Hiccup but only agitated the dragon, causing it to panic and react, inadvertently putting someone he loves in danger. again)

Stoick of course, wasn't acting rationally, but it makes sense when you think about how traumatizing Valka's 'death' must've been for him (and how much Hiccup reminss him of her); he watched her get taken, presumably killed, and couldn't do anything about it.

They're mostly reworded/rerecorded Battle City ones, including when he shields Ryou from Osiris' attack and, uh, quite the ecstatic/maniacal declaration of "Millennium Eye! Get!" (as in, "The Millennium Eye is mine!") from Duelist Kingdom. Bakura's voice is deeper and a bit raspier. Same quality from Duel Links.

Po and Tigress's relationship is so funny because they're written like a queerbait couple but like. its a male character and a female character. like theres some stuff that is obviously written in a way that can be interpreted as romantic but like the movie never actually backs it up with any further development of a romance between the two. there's always that plausible deniability so they dont actually have to follow up on it.
