#platonic yandere demon slayer
Note
Would a request for PLATONIC! Yandere Sanemi Shinazugawa for his little brother Genya be acceptable?
I'd love to write that! (Spoilers below)
Tumblr media
Platonic yandere Sanemi for genya
Tw: mentions of death, abuse, manipulation, self deletion, and sanemi tbh.
Soft
For sanemi to be a more 'peaceful' yandere, he can't be separated from genya when he was younger.
Now, just because he's 'soft' doesn't mean he's lenient with Genya. I'm sure he'll make Genya stay inside all the time, most likely using the death of their family to scare him.
And if Genya tries to run away, he's not getting far. sanemi is a hashira, after all.
It's a guarantee that sanemi will lock him in the basement or a cage in the basement (depends on how far Genya got) and will only let him out when he's home
Sanemi doesn't care if Genya is screaming and crying. He won't ever care.
Sanemi tries his best to give affection to Genya. even if Genya is terrified of him at this point.
Sanemi is actually very affectionate, giving Genya headpats and hugs and holding him as he sleeps.
He gives Genya gifts every time he comes home from a mission. Mostly consisting of sweets and a book or two
Honestly, Genya is better with soft yan sanemi
Full yandere
Now, for sanemi to be a full yandere, he'll have to be separated from him for years after the death of their family and has reunited with him somehow.
It'll take a while for his yandere tendencies to show. So genya will be blindsided when sanemi insists that he will stay with him.
Now, sanemi is much more aggressive and not as affectionate as soft yandere.
He doesn't kidnap genya, but he becomes very controlling. Making sure genya doesn't get hurt by any demons.
If genya does get hurt, he kills anyone around genya, then takes out his remaining frustration on genya, often beating him
It wouldn't surprise me if sanemi breaks a few of genya's bones.
He's not fond of genya being around Gyomei, but he can't do anything about it.
After the fight with Kokushibo, sanemi is devastated when he watches his baby brother die in front of him.
He takes his anger out during the fight with Muzan and Kokushibo, and after he's just left angry and eventually kills himself in an attempt to reunite with his baby brother. But because of his actions, he's going to hell with the rest of the demons.

Platonic yandere Mitsuri and Obanai with teen reader who’s also a demon slayer
A/n: I’ve had this thought for a while now so here it goes. I just realized I’ve spelt Mitsuris name wrong the whole thing. It’s fixed now
Y/n is gender natural too
—————————————————————————
Mitsuri and Obanai got married a little while ago, but always felt like a piece of them where missing. Until they saved a kid about 11 years old from a demon. That kid was Y/n. Y/n then got adopted by them soon after and was taught how to use breathing styles so they could protect themselves incase Mitsuri or Obanai couldn’t be there to protect them.
Y/n misunderstood though and thought that they were training to be a demon slayer. Even though they were locked up in the house all day. They soon started to feel like a disappointment. They had mastered both techniques and still weren’t going to take the final test.
They then decided that they would run away, take the test, then become a hashira to prove that they weren’t a disappointment to there family. So they left without telling anyone where they were going. The next time there parents saw them, they’d be a hashira, and a strong one non the less. They where about 14 when they got a chance to leave.
A month after passing the final exam they met Tanjiro and became friends with him and Nezuko during a mission. They kept meeting during missions, soon they joined Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. There plan didn’t go how they wanted it to go though. The next time they saw there parents was during Tanjiro and Nezukos trial, when they saved Nezuko from being stabbed by Sanemi. They land right in front of Mitsuri.
“Y/n?!?” Mitsuri squeaked, jumping to grab them, and drag them back to her house were her and Obinai could doont over them and protect them from everything.
Fuck, mom! Y/n thought as they heard there name being called by the love Hashira, aka there mom.
“Y/n. What are you doing here? And where the hell have you been the past year!” Obanai says is a harsh voice suddenly appearing right behind us.
“SHIT!! Tanjiro you’re on your own!!! I trust you’ll find me again!!!” Y/n screams as they sprint out of there without Nezuko (so she could have her trial and show them she is a good demon) as fast as they can, to go grab there stuff and leave.
Y/n was almost cought by Obanai but master Ubuyashiki showed up and he had to pay his respects and couldn’t leave. The same thing happened with Mitsuri. After everything happened there, the other hashira and Tanjiro Zenitsu and Inosuke where told about Y/n and if they ever see them bring them to Mitsuri or Obanai. They were not going to let you escape them again the next time they saw you.
You were now 15, they need to make up for all the lost time with you, no matter how long it took. At the least they know you are alive now, and will never stop looking for you even if it take one hundred year to find there sweet child again.

Call me dad
warnings: suggestion of forced turning, reader refuses to call Muzan dad, the upper moons are scared, reader is tied up, reader is tied up. GN reader
Kofi
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reader hated Muzan with a burning passion.
They hated how Muzan got angry when they didn't call him dad.
They hated how his anger was never directed towards them.
It made Reader feel like they weren't justified in their anger. But what they hated more was the forced cuddle time.
"I hate this." Reader mumbled, Muzan was having a meeting but since it was at the same time as cuddle time. Reader had to attend, they were tied up unable to leave his lap. It would feel domestic if Reader ignored the restraints.
The upper moons tensed. Muzan turned to Reader with sharp yet concerned eyes. "Are the restraints too tight?"
"I don't want to be here." Reader mumbled. "It's too loud., Muzan"
"Is it?" Muzan mumbled. "How sensitive you are, my dear but it's dad remember." Reader rolled their eyes. "Don't worry, I'll punish those pests for disrupting our cuddle time."
Reader scoffed and mumbled: "I think they should be rewarded instead."
Muzan's grip on them became stronger. "Don't say such foolish things unless you want confinement." Reader couldn't help but chuckle. "And you say I am sensitive Muu-zan~!"
It felt like a victory every time he got pissed, the upper moons terrified faces made it all worth it. "It 's dad, preferably papa." Muzan hissed.
"Oh, it is now?" Reader hummed with a grin. Muzan dragged his nails on Reader's shoulder. "It won't be when I die."
Douma looked up scared, the other uppermoons looked at Reader with wide eyes. "Are you threatening me with your death?"
They grinned. "Well, it is the one thing you can't control." Reader whispered in his ear for dramatic effect. "Is it? Perhaps I should turn you now."
Reader's eyes hardened. "As if you would." Muzan didn't want to turn them until they were an adult". But the more Reader opposes him, the more he wants to turn them. "Oh, I will."
Their young demon self would need guidance and would be under his full control. And he could command them to call him papa.
and he will take that opportunity gladly

The way things were before (Platonic Yandere Muzan x reader)
Tumblr media
This was inspired by the last episode of the latest season where we get some Muzan lore. This is kinda my first time writing real angst so tell me what you think. Keep in mind this is based on the anime and I haven't actually read the manga.
Pt.2
Check out my other works here: Masterlist.
Anger.
Ever since Muzan was young, one emotion he always felt was anger. It stuck to him like a tumor, destroying him from the inside out.
He felt anger for his illness that prevented him from having a real life. He felt anger for having to be tested on by doctors nearly daily. He felt anger that people looked down upon him as he grew weaker and weaker. But more importantly, he felt anger that nothing changed. He never got better, he never got stronger, no matter how much time went by.
As he aged, and his illness got worse, Muzan accepted the fact that his anger, his hatred for everyone would never leave him.
That was, until he found you. His beautiful, wonderful child, the only thing that could quell the rage inside of him.
You weren't his biologically, no, but that didn't matter to him. Before he was too sick to leave his bed, Muzan found you orphaned living on the streets and took you in. Ever since, you've been repaying him by taking care of him.
"Father, it is time to take you medicine." There you were, right on time. Muzan refused to take his medicine from anyone else, even his most notable doctors.
He was too weak to sit up, simply moving his head to acknowledge you, watching as you sat down in front of him. Muzan didn't complain as you moved his head so the medicine could travel done his throat more smoothly.
Once done, you lay his head back down, putting the small bowl down next to you, blessing him with a kind smile. "How are you feeling today father?" You question.
"I'm doing fine now that you are here, my child." You giggle, the smile reaching your eyes. A small smile graces Muzan's face at your happy demeanor. Even if it is only for a second, Muzan is happy.
"Oh, I almost forgot." You gasp, "The doctor has new medicine for you, he wanted to give it to you himself."
Muzan let out a childlike groan, rolling over to face the balcony. It was beautiful outside, but Muzan couldn't help but feel annoyed. The sun was too bright, the wide was too strong, the birds were too loud. Even the thought of having to interact with his doctor for a second caused his blood to boil.
You roll your eyes at him, "Father, you have to take your medicine, the doctor knows better than me." He does move to face you, but you could tell he was annoyed.
"The doctors are incompetent." He moves back on his back; his brows cross in frustration. "They have been treating me for years, but here I remain, trapped in by bed." He laments.
You frown at his words, looking away from your father with sorrow. You remember a time when he was still healthy enough to spend time with you, your favorite days being when he would grow flowers with you, teaching you about their meanings and medical uses. But now, just standing was enough to strip him of all his strength.
You've been forced to watch as your father grows more resentful for the people around him, hating his doctors, maids, even gardeners for simply existing, being able to live the life he most desperately wanted. On days where his illness is at his worse, he mumbles about wanting to destroy them all, something you assumed was delirium caused by the medicine.
Even though your father has changed, you still love him, and you can't help but see him as the carefree, happy man he was when you were younger, even now. It's why you so desperately want him to get better, so that maybe you could go back to the way things once were.
"Father, I promise they just want to help." You try and talk some sense into him, though his resolve doesn't budge. You sigh, "it would make me really happy if you let the doctors give you the medicine." You put emphasis on the word really, in hopes it would motivate him. To your luck it did, Muzan moving to face you, sighing at your pleading face.
"Fine." Was all he said, feeling warmth bubble up in him as you smiled. You leaned down and hugged him the best you could.
"Thank you, father." Muzan smiles, happy once more.
---
You haven't visited you father in days, him forbidding you from entering his room a few days after he took the new medicine. You didn't mind though, it probably had some bad side effects, so you left him alone. Though, you couldn't help but question whenever he ordered for a worker to enter his room, especially when you swore, they never left.
Today was the final straw, you had to see your father. Workers had been disappearing left and right, and you knew your father was not going to be happy about it if you kept it from him.
As you get closer and closer to your father's room, a stench more disgusting than anything you've smelt before entered your nose and caused you to gag. You would've thrown up than and their if you didn't cover your mouth quickly.
The smell only got worse as you slowly crept towards the door, it nearly becoming unbearable. You swallowed down you fear as you knocked at the door. You could hear the faint sounds of crunching, like someone was chewing on something tough which made heartbeat against your ribs.
"F-father, are you in there." The chewing stopped and your heart sank. Your hands shook as you heard someone move towards the door. Slowly, the door opened, revealing your father covered in blood. He smiled down at you creepily, a stark contrast between the horror that covered your face.
Muzan moves to cup your cheek in his hand, blood smearing on your face. He could hear your fearful breathing coming from your nose as you inhale and exhale in rapid succession. He rubs your cheek, trying to calm you down as you look into his room, seeing the mangled-up bodies behind him. Your breathing became even more erratic at the sight, Muzan simply sighing with a frown.
"(Y/N), you don't understand-"
"You killed them, father." You whisper, backing away from him.
"I am much stronger now; I can protect you." You shake your head, tears streaming down your face. What was he talking about?
"You killed them." Your repeat you back hitting the wall. Muzan was directly in front of you, looking down intimidatingly. For the first time in your life, your father scared you.
"I had to, my child." He answers, his voice calm, but you could sense his annoyance. "It's the only way I can remain strong."
You don't say anything as he moves closer, hugging you into his chest as your world went dark.
---
It's been years since that day.
Your now older, more aware of the situation you're in. You father was now a demon, forced to consume humans in order to live. You realized quickly it was from the medicine the doctor gave him, and you curse him everyday for doing so.
He took your home from you, forcing you and your father out of your village. He took your life from you, forcing you to remain hidden with you father. Most importantly, he took your father from you, him now a husk of the man he once was.
Along with the myriad of strange side effects, your father couldn't go out in the day, the sun causing him immense pain, one of the only few things that could hurt him.
You learned to treasure the mornings, them being the few hours away from your father. While he was busy learning all he could about his aliment, you were trying to maintain the image of a normal human being. Working, socializing, anything you could do to forget about the atrocities your father committed when the sun set.
You wish things would go back to the way they were before.
"-N)? (Y/N)?" Oh, you were in the hospital, getting blood work done. You look over at the doctor in front of you, him attempting to get you attention.
You've been feeling terrible for the past few days, constant headaches, hot flashes, soreness. You could barely move without pain. You got blood work done, now waiting for the results with anticipation.
"I just wanted to ask you a question before giving you the news." His voice is solemn, not giving you a good feeling. "Does your family have any history of illness?"
You want to answer yes, but that would we wrong. You're not Muzan's child, so you shouldn't have inherited his illness. "No, my father was plagued with illness years ago, but he's...better now and I'm not his child biologically."
The doctor nodded, looking away dejectedly. When his eyes finally met yours, they were serious, "You've developed a rare blood disease." You heart sinks, but the doctor continues, "I suspect about a month or so is what you have left."
You could feel tears in your eyes, but surprisingly you didn't feel all that sad. Ever since you were young, you've accepted the fact that you would die, it's something you've learned from your times on the streets. The doctor continues talking, but you don't hear a word, to busy wondering how you're going to tell Muzan.
---
"Father, I'm home." No response, but you know he heard you.
On your way home, you accepted that you weren't going to tell Muzan. You knew if you would, he would try to turn you, and you couldn't accept that fate. To you, even death was a better fate than becoming a demon.
You slowly make you way up to your father's study, knocking on the door before entering. Like most days, your father is hunched over his desk, books and papers strewn about.
He doesn't acknowledge you when you enter, even when you move to stand beside him. You take a look at the scientific papers, not understanding a single thing about any of them. The only recognizable thing was the blue spider lily that for some reason was crucial to father.
"How was your appointment?" He doesn't look at you, flipping through pages of a book.
You sigh, shaking your head, "It was fine. Apparently, I was overreacting." You let out an awkward laugh. Muzan nods, before moving his attention back to his book.
It's like he was consumed by this flower, it was the only thing he cared about. You missed you father, even though it's been years since he's felt like one. In a way, you feel like death would be more welcoming than the life you have now, one that is consumed by fear for the man your supposed to feel safe around.
You left without telling you father, silently hoping you wouldn't see him in the morning.
---
Your hopes were not answered.
It's been week, but death does not come, all that greeted you was endless pain.
Your father found out when you collapsed one morning, and while he was mad you lied to him, he was livid when you refused to be turned into a demon. He's never yelled at you before, it surprised you when he screamed and threatened you, but you didn't change your mind.
In the end, your father was forced to watch you slowly succumb to your illness. You attempted to brighten his mood by framing the situation as repaying you. You took care of him, now he is doing the same. The only difference being you won't make it out in the end.
"Father, do you remember when I was little," You murmur to him; you voice raw and quiet. Your room was dark, blocking out any light so you could barely see your father looking at you. "You used to grow flowers with me." Your giggle sounds almost painful, but the smile on your face was one Muzan had nearly forgotten. "I'd get so sad when mine would die."
He doesn't speak, he can't, "Then you'd tell me not to cry, because death is normal for all living beings." Your voice is getting quieter as you speak, but he doesn't acknowledge it. "You were trying to comfort me about your death, I didn't know that at the time."
Muzan wants you to stop talking, he hates the pain in your voice. "I wish we could go back to the way things were before." You said, before finally going quiet. Muzan hears your breathing stop before letting out a sob.
---
It's been over a thousand years since your death and ever since then, Muzan has been filled with anger.
Anger for this imperfect world that took you away from. Anger at you for refusing the life he could've given you. Anger at himself for making your last few moments miserable.
He doesn't know who to blame for his misfortune, but he knows that if he lets anger consume him, he'll find someone to blame.
Muzan chooses to remember you when you were younger and at your happiest. When he's alone, his mind often wanders to these moments, when you were just a child, so small he was afraid anything would hurt you. He never let you out of his sight, wanting to protect you from the world.
Though in the end, he still lost you.
Since the day you died, Muzan was filled with rage. And he will continue to be until the day he sees you again.
He just wishes things would go back to the way they were before.

May I make a request for Muichiro?
General Yandere Muichiro Headcanons
a/n: reader is the same age as Muichiro in this, can be read as platonic or romantic
tw: yandere themes, overprotective behaviour, potential spoilers for Muichiro’s backstory
Tumblr media
•Muichiro, despite his young age, has many impressive feats. Being the youngest member of the Hashira has gained him notoriety— though most of his notoriety stems from his apathy.
•His blunt and air-headed nature often scares people off. He doesn’t mind or care. But then, there was you. A seemingly constance in his life. Originally, Muichiro didn’t care for or about you. Especially when you were so beneath him. You were a lowly Kanoe while he was a Hashira. Regardless, you seemed determined to remain by his side and he didn’t care enough to stop you.
•Eventually, he becomes accustomed to your prescription in his life. You’re something to remember- something Muichiro lacks. While his demeanour doesn’t change outright, there are subtle differences that indicate his attachment to you. He acts more considerate towards you than others and tolerates your behaviour that he wouldn’t tolerate from anyone else.
•His feelings become more obvious after he regains his memories. Once he remembers the loss of his parents and brothers, Muichiro develops overly protective tendencies. The loss of his family burns fresh through his memory and influences his treatment of you. He doesn’t want to even imagine losing you. Also, similar to his treatment of Tanjiro, Muichiro openly begins to display his affection and bias towards you.
•Overall, Muichiro is a very lax yandere. He isn’t doesn’t meddle with your daily life or your relationships with other. He also doesn’t limit your freedom, at least until he regains his memories. Even then, Muichiro only really prevents you from going on really dangerous missions, or will accompany you if you do go.

Can I request a Yandere!Douma (platonic) with a GN!child reader whose mother he just ate?
Tumblr media
Yeah yeah I got you bb- hope you like it 🥰! I hope I wrote him well enough-
Dangerous parental
Yandere (platonic) douma x gn child reader
Tumblr media
Douma had not expected this to happen. His head tilted to the side staring towards you deep in thought. He had just finished devouring your mother just the night before. And to his surprise her last words to 'spare her only child'. He had no idea what she meant until the next day when a follower of his came to him with you in tow. Claiming that your mother had 'went missing' and hadn't returned, wondering what they'd have to do with you. He had honestly completely forgotten all about you! He groaned slightly annoyed; he didn't really think this through did he-
"Hmmm neh, what's your name hm? " he asked while poking your soft cheek, a wide smile plastered on his face. You only gave him a nervouse glance. "Y/n..." You softly whispered unsure what to say as you never really had an need to speak to the male. Douma hummed in delight, "oh, y/n! What a wonderful name for a little one like you! " he laughed as he patted your head. He didn't really worry too much about you. He only decided that he'd let you grow up, possibly fatting you up to his liking just before devouring you like he did your mother. Yes, he was sure that was a great plan!
He pouted when seeing you clench your hands against your clothes while tears formed in your eyes. "Hm? Now, why the long face little one? There's nothing to be sad about! " he lightly chuckled. "I- I want my momma. " you said in a hushed voice, your bottom lip beginning to quiver. Douma frowned at the the strange feeling begin to slowly burn within him. But brushed it off with a smile while gently patting your head once more.
"Don't worry, I'll take good care of you! " He laughed.
---
Douma sighed rolling his head back to rest against his large plush beanie seat. It had been a few months after the incident. His face forming into a pout. He honestly didn't know what to do with you. He wasn't all too much familiar with children. There weren't many in his little cult. That being said, he highly doubted their were any at all! Expect you of course. Though, there was that one infant with that one woman, but both were long gone and forgotten by him now.
You on the other hand, were not. Even if he promised to take care of you. It was more his followers had taken up that role. Teaching you small things a small child such as yourself could understand and do properly. Helping you bathe, gave you new clothes when you needed. But still, Douma watched. He watched from the side lines, his eyes never leaving your small form as you ran around with no care in the world.
Even if he didn't know how to care for you all by himself. He did begin to think of you as intriguing. Wondering how such a small thing such as yourself be so full of life. Never exactly pushing you away every time you spotted him and ran towards the man embracing his leg with your small arms, all smiles and giggles. No, he only laughed and would copy and mirrored your enthusiasm.
"Ah, why hello there! How are you doing today little one? " he cooed as he lifting you into the air. Smiling widening when your arms lifted in the air in a cheer. "Oh my! My apologies my Lord! They are quite a handful and energetic! Here, let me take them out of your hands! " Douma only laughed as his grip on you tightened when the woman in front of him tried to take you away from him. Pulling you close to his chest he only waved her off, "Oh I don't mind at all! I do quite enjoy their time with me. How about I return them after?" He smiled with his eyes closed. The woman only gave him a nod before hurrying herself out.
Douma looked into your eyes as they glimmered in joy as you looked to him with a wide toothy smile. "You are quite the handful aren't you!" He laughed, "Say, how about we play a game? A little game called hide an seek! Children such as yourself enjoy that right?" He questioned with the tip of his head. "Oh, I love that game! Momma and I use to play it all the time! It's so much fun! " you cheered throwing your hands in the air once more. He chuckled while placing you on to the floor. "Alright then, you better start hiding! Fair warning, I'm very good at this game~" he giggled. Turning around, he began to count, a smirk tugging against his lips when hearing the sound of you squeal and your little feet slamming against the floor. Frantic to find a place to hide.
Children were strange. He couldn't help but think. So full of energy and life. Well, the one's who were blessed with a well off one anyways. Unlike adults, all bitter and sad most of the time. Not to mention how serious utterly pathetic and cruel they can be as well, how sad that truly was. He only shrugged it off in the end, it wasn't like it was his problem anyways. "Oh little one! I'm coming to find you~! " he shouted, as he deemed he had given you enough time.
Douma took his time in searching for you. Looking around every corner saying how you were 'really good at this', as if he hadn't heard your little fit of snickering or saw your little feet trying it's best to behind themselves behind his bean bag like seat. Still, he'd play oblivious as he pretended to 'grow tired' and sat on his seat. And just as he expected, your leaped in the air only slightly surprising him as your small arms wrapped around his neck. "I won I WON! " You cheered, he laughed along side you patting your hands. "It seems as though you did! Congratulations little one! " he said as he grabbed a hold on you and sat you on his thighs.
You looked to him with those same bright innocent and happy eyes. He thought it was interesting really. He wondered if you'd stare at him the same if you learned that he devoured humans such as yourself. Hell, you so oblivious to that fact that you enjoyed to seek out and play with your mother's murderer! He didn't blame you though, children such as yourself were naive not to mention so dumb at your age. You knew absolutely nothing what went behind his closed doors. Though, as much as he was curious about your action he also didn't wish to find out. He'd be lying if he didn't some how form some bond towards you. You became some sort of entertainment towards him. And by the looks of it, you had thought so as well considering you always tried to sneak away from your duties to seek him out. It'd be a waste to break you this early on in your life! Where would be the fun in that?
"Oh how adorable you are little one! " he chuckled out before a knock came to his door. "Come in~! " he called out. Another one of his followers came into view, the made a light bow before speaking out pointing towards you. "Lord Douma! I am here to pick up the child if you are done with them? " The make asked. "Oh alright!" He smiled, the follower immediately nodding his head before making his way over to you. Douma looked towards you with a small smile.
"Hm, I suppose it's time I return you to the others now. " you immediately frowned hearing this. "No! I want to stay with you! Please let me stay! " your small hands clenching onto his clothes. "Come on kid, Lord douma is a very busy man, you can't stay with him forever! " the man spoke grabbing a hold of you, this causing you to whine louder.
"No! I wanna stay! " you now began to slap the older man's hands. This causing Douma to give out a light laugh. Oh my, he never seen this side of you! Oh how funny! He thought as he only stared at the commotion. The man's grip then landed on to your hand with a tight grip trying to get you to let go. This only caused you to cry out in slight pain. "Stop it! That hurt! " Douma's mouth immediately twitched at the cry of pain come out of you.
"I WANT TO STAY WITH POPPA! "
Douma's eyes widened at your words causing something new in him to snap. The man that still held onto you huffed growing annoyed "child, Lord douma is NOT your father! You are acting very inappropriate towards out Lord and founder! " he spoke to you in a stern voice as he pulled on you once more causing another cry of pain to come from you. Growing irritated from the loud noises, one of Douma's arms wrapped themselves around you holding you close almost in a protective manner. His other arm raising itself making the follower pause.
"Now now, it's alright! No need to harm them! The news were bound to come out someday anyways!" He laughed waving to the now confused male. "Lord douma-" He laughed once more resting his chin on your head. "Yes! Little one here is in fact my child! Surprise! What a true blessing is it not? " he smiled leaving his follower stunned. And to be fair, Douma was surprised what he was speaking as well, what exactly was he going on about? "My apologies, I meant to tell you all this amazing news! Yes they may not look exactly like me, but do not let that fool you! They only received more of their looks from their mother. How sad it is that she... Disspeared! That's the reason why they are always in search for me anyways! " he said a fake frown sketched onto his face near the ending while beginning to strok your head.
"I-is that so? " the male said while looking towards you in shock. All while you looked up towards Douma your eyes gleeming in delight. "I deeply apologize for my actions my Lord. Forgive me! " Douma's frown immediately turned to a smile. "Oh worry not! For I forgive you! But do please be careful how you actwards them from now on! " the male nodded before he was excused and rushed out of the room. Most likely where he'd spread the news to the others.
Douma only gave a blank stare towards the door. Yes... This was definitely not how he planned things. He honestly didn't understand why he even said all those ridiculous things. Be was just relieved that his followers had always seemed so dumb and oh so loyal to ever question him. His eyes immediately fell towards yours when he felt you begin to move in his grasp. Your eyes locking on to his own.
"So, you see me as your father do you? Oh how sweet and adorable of you little one! " he giggled lifting you into the air once more. You cheered in delight, before wincing when you turned your wrist. Seeing you flinch Douma tilted his head. "Is, little one alright? " he hummed as he placed you onto him once more. Pouting, you showed him your irritated kid. One that looked to form a bruise sooner or later. There it was, that strange burning feeling he always seemed to get when around you. "Oh, did that man hurt you little one?" You cheeks puffed out as tears formed around your eyes. He frowned, he didn't like that look on your face. It really annoyed him for some reason, it annoyed him even further at the fact the a follower of his made you like this as well. Maybe he wasn't so forgiving after all.
"Don't sorry, I'll make sure to take care of him so he won't hurt you anymore! Poppa will make sure no one will! " he cackled before bringing both of his thumbs towards the ends of your mouth, lifting them up. "Now let poppa see that amazing smile of yours! We don't cry over people like them! " blinking away your tears, you smiled. "Ah see? That is much better! Now, come along! I have other things to attend too! Why don't you join me today, hm? " you shook your head 'yes' as you grabbed onto his hand.
Douma paused looking towards your small hands wrap around his larger ones. The burning feeling growing. You were just such a cute little helpless thing. He didn't know what this feeling was exactly. But he'd be lying if he said he wasn't exactly growing fond of it as well. He wondered if this was what it was called when fathers called it 'fatherly love' or something on the lines of that. How strange..
---
After the incident, douma couldn't help but take note how clingy he was growing towards you. Always hovering over you to make sure you are safe. How that warm you gave him when he heard you adorable little laughs. Or just how cold he felt when he was forced to do his duties away from you. How he enjoyed it when you rushed to onto your 'Pappas' arms after not seeing him for so long. He now only allowing very few of his followers that he deemed loyal enough to keep a watchful eye on you. How it infuriated him when someone decided to try and speak or harm 'his' little one behind his back. He'd make sure personally that they were taken care of by his hands.
It was strange how his plans on fatting you up to just devour you when you were older changed to not ever wanting you to leave his side. Now, he only planned on keeping you by his side until of age when and tell you his little secret about his true self. Even if your view did change about him, he wouldn't care as he'd quite literally force you to stay by his side by turning you into a demon. The last thing he wanted was to loose his 'precious little miracle' over some small inconvenience! What father would? Though, he was sure if he'd play his cards right, you'd fall right into his hands more than you already were and follow him none the less. He already deemed that you were the reason he was feeling these strange things that he grew so find of. And he didn't plan on letting it go any time soon.

If you're able to do requests here's one... Platonic Dōma x Toddler Reader where the little one is being cheeky and starting a game of tickle monster to only end up getting tummy raspberrys by they're guardian Dōma as payback
Tumblr media
Fluffy Time w/ toddler Reader | Yandere Douma
Funny thing is I’m sure Douma isn’t actually ticklish so he’s fascinated by the reaction in the first place
So he loves when you initiate this for his own little curiosities
He loves you all the more
You just have him learning and doing all kinds of things
Not just blowing raspberries into your tiny tummy
As disturbing as it is for those aware of Douma’s true identity to realize this
Alot of his games with his beloved baby feature playful ‘eating’ the little one
Pretending to eat your little hands, your little feet, your chubby cheeks
He’s seen many others do it so its not bizarre
but there’s an added level debauchery considering the moment he settles you down for a nap he’s actually devouring a human or six
And he most certainly is teasing the victims who are aware in a sick joke of his

Title: Little Sunshine! (Part 2)
Characters: Mainly Akaza with Douma (/Doma) at the end! (Demon Slayer)
Summary: You were taken into the Paradise Faith cult with Kotoha (Inosuke's mother.) And Douma became rather fond of you like he did with Kotoha. When Kotoha ran away, she had no choice but to leave you behind as Douma hid the truth away from you. After becoming a demon you slept for a year and finally woke up again.
Warnings/tags: Platonic yandere, fem!child!reader, reader recently got turned into a demon and just woke up
Note: Part 1 is here!
Tumblr media
Akaza didn't know when or why he started to become so attached to you. When he was forced to come to Douma's cult to tell that damn demon some news about the demon slayers, he wanted to keep the time there at the minimum.
That was where he met you.
You were alone in the middle of the garden, looking everywhere, confused and tired. He thought you were a human child at first but had to take a second glance when he realized that you were a demon.
He wondered if it was a joke, a demon art of some demon that could turn into a kid. Yet when he saw your eyes, it was clear that you were not a trap made by some weak demon. You looked at him with no fear but with curiosity and wonder. An innocence that was not supposed to be in a demon yet there...
You took a step towards him when your leg suddenly lost energy and started to fall. You thought you would hit the floor, face first into the dirt, but that never happened when the collar of your sleeping robe was grabbed by the mysterious man who was once on top of the wall.
Looking up at him, you saw the man confused face, surprised at his own actions. "Thank you, mister!" You said, returning to looking down to the floor, your feet not quite reaching as you made a kicking motion.
He let you down after a pause, but before Akaza could leave, you started asking him questions. Asking if he knew where Douma was? "How do you know that guy?" Akaza asked curiously at you. You pouted at him as he didn't answer your questions. "I live here! Douma-sama had let me stay!" You told him flapping your shoulders' sleeves.
Somehow, everything clicked in an instant when he realized who you were. He suddenly remembered that long ago, Douma had asked Muzan if he could turn a small kid into a demon a year or two ago.
You were probably the child that he had turned into a demon.
Akaza snapped back into reality when he felt his pants being tugged, looking down to see you holding him, wondering why he wasn't saying anything.
"Mister, are you okay?" You asked curiously. Giving you a grunt, you took it as a sign that he was okay and smiled at him. Watching that smile, it was strange if not weird almost to see it in a demon. Most demons have malicious intent, as most have killed or done things that were morally wrong, even if they haven't by now the smell of blood should linger on their skin. Demons can't eat food anymore to survive.
They needed blood.
Yet here you were. He barely could smell any of it from you. He wondered if this was the first time this ever happened. Why were you even here, Akaza thought to himself as he unconsciously patted your head.
When you giggled, the innocent sounds made him uneasy.
"Mister, play with me!" You called out to him, raising your arms. "Up! Up!" You told him. Akaza blinked again in surprise when he saw you asking him such a thing. Never in his life after becoming a demon did someone ask him to play like this. Most human kids run away either because they already know that he was a demon or they witness him kill someone.
However, you refuse to let your hands down and continue to stare at him. He wondered if you couldn't feel it at all, the difference in rank between him and you. Most demons can't even look at him in the eyes. Yet it seems that you didn't care as you approached him again one step and then suddenly lost strength again, staggering as you thought that you would fall again.
Akaza caught you... again. Why did he do that??
Bring you up to eye level, holding you by the collar Akaza examined you as if you were some foreign alien. You looked at him again and smiled as he wondered why you are so weird?!
Reaching out to him again, you motioned that you want to get on his shoulders.
"... Fine... Just this once." Following your instructions hesitantly as he placed you on his shoulders, holding your legs as you held on his hair. You giggled as you started pointing him in directions to head to, "Go there, Mister! Go there!"
It was so awkward for him as he followed your childish demands, wondering why he was even listening to them. Walking over to trees, you touched the branches that were far too high for you to reach before and beamed at him with self-pride. "I am so tall!" You laughed.
The more the two of you played under the moonlight, the more relaxed Akaza started to become. When was the last time he played like this when he was relaxed with almost no care in the world? He smiled as you showed off to him that you were taller than him when both of you knew that he was carrying you which made you tall.
And Akaza... maybe in a way, wanted to show his powers to you. He thought it would be a fun idea really.
You gasped in surprise when he jumped, the wind on your hair, as you guys reach so high over 3-story buildings up. This was your first time seeing up so high. You shouted in awe and excitement as the both of you landed on the roof of a building. You raved on and on about how cool that was and that Akaza was amazing, with so much respect in your eyes begging him to do it again.
You don't know how long you played with Akaza, jumping higher and higher up in the sky, and you looked at the world around you under the night sky. You didn't know when you fell asleep again, a smile on your lips hugging Akaza's neck as he held you in his arms.
Akaza looked at you in wonder, wondering why you were a demon yet so amazed by what Akaza thought was normal as a demon.
But right now wasn't the time.
"You can show yourself now." Akaza didn't turn around to face Douma. He knew for a long time when the guy showed up but would rather focus on you to really care for the man.
"Ah, Akaza-donno, thank you for taking care of her. She has been sleeping for a while now and must have been so confused to wake alone like this. It is such a shame that I wasn't by her side." Douma walked towards you, his eyes on your hair, your face hidden by Akaza's neck softly snoring away, unable to notice the two demons looking at you.
"She didn't notice anything... she is weak." Akaza stated he could not smell, not even a scent of blood other than Muzan and Douma's in you. In his mind, it was obvious that Douma had been staving you for so long now.
"She has been sleeping for over a year now after her transformation to a demon. The poor little girl refused to drink blood when her senses were telling her to do so. I had an amazing meal prepared just for her, too, that time." Douma smiled, his eyes on you slowly turning to the one holding you. "Thank you for caring for her but I will take it over from her-"
Douma's hand that was reaching out for you suddenly exploded into bits and pieces, spraying blood and flesh. His eyes still smiling as he stared at Akaza showed no emotions of annoyance or anger.
But you could see a small vein on the side of his temple.
Akaza didn't want to give you back to Douma. He didn't want to give you to this sick bastard because Akaza knew that he would break you. And as a demon now, this pain can be forever. Rather than with Douma, Akaza knew you would be father better off with him.
He would not let you go, not like this.

Yo sup! I love your blog soooooo much!!! Your writing style is great in my opinion ^^. I'd like a yandere! Rui (platonic) with sister reader. She actually puts effort into making "family bonds" and while she is nice to the other "family" members, she never questions Rui's methods and actions and genuinely loves him despite the behaviours he displays. He is really overprotective over her and he likes her attention. I'd love a scenario like that
Hmmm! Okaaay! I have never written for Rui yet so let’s try it out, I’m optimistic! Been getting a lot of Platonic Yanderes lately tbh!
Yandere! Platonic! KNY Lower Moon Scenarios: Ayaki Rui
Tumblr media
Rui, on the inside, is a lonely miserable child that is so desperate to feel nearest and dearest love for once in his new life that he does truly cruel and twisted means to get what carves so badly
Rui finds weak, pathetic demons and transfers his strength to them so they become infused by blood, cementing them as his family for good. He has done this too many to count… but most go against him and end up fried
Rui figured you’d be the same. Another sister who dares to try run away from him and will become his next toasted spider but no. You’re nothing like the ones who came before you and he is very shocked at first
Rui, needing to know if this behaviour is genuine, begins to keep a close eye on you and is very pleased everytime with the answers. You’re sweet and considerate to the other family members he brings home, you never argue with his methods nor measures and you even ask him how he is
Rui suspected you’d be angry at him for his drastic punishments to your siblings and parents, but no. You never once go against him, you just smile and proclaim you understand if he must hurt you. But in that moment, he won’t lay a single thread on you, he gently pats your head and orders you return to your room
Rui becomes favouritistic towards you, to the point it becomes obvious to everybody in the house. You’re a real sister and he needs to keep you as his, at all causes. No demon slayer can take you away from him and no demon can try trick you into abandoning him, he grows a intense sense of overprotectiveness over you, his one true sibling
Rui never really gets the love he wants with this makeshift family he has forcibly created. You’re the rare diamond of the pebble pile, you give him love and affection with no fear nor opposing intent. He is very tense and tries to push back but once he realises you’re just kissing away the blood on his cheek, he lets you. His obsession over you growing in the process
His obsession over keeping you as his sister at all means. Must he kill all those other failures? None of them please him at all and none has true worth to him, Rui is tempted to just kill them all and keep you. Sure, two siblings aren’t necessarily a family but the risk of losing you, who actually loves him, over a family who doesn’t love him. He is going to pick you everytime
Rui eventually moves you out of the attic you were in with your surrogate siblings. You don’t deserve to be around those pieces of filth and he ends up giving you the room, right next to his. So he can come to you very easily and demand your affection without needing anybody else around
He wants you nearby 24/7, his one and only beloved. He wants you close so he knows you’re still here and you haven’t been twisted by anything else that can twist your views
Rui is very desperate for attention so he wants it from you all the time. He’ll just sit down before you as you read/other and wait for you to acknowledge him. He doesn’t get hissy nor attack like he usually would if you take a little while, since he knows you’ll apologise and give him hugs or kisses as extra sorries
Rui will never let you out of the house nor out of the forest. You can go outside when he is with you, just to make sure no slayer can hurt you nor a demon can intervene. It’s all from his anxiety that makes him step in and take those extra precautions to keep you with him
At all causes, he doesn’t care how big the bill is he must pay to have you
Rui holds your hand as often as he possibly can, loving the feel of your warmth. He summons you to stand besides him as he deals out punishment, he sends you to the safety of the household when he finds threats he must dispose off. He is loving, he is favouritistic, he is possessive, he is overprotective; he is all of the above and so much more
“My dear sister. Come here, I am exhausted from taking care of such useless humans, may I get some affection to ease all my tense nerves? I don’t suspect you’d refuse, here now. You know I don’t bite you”

(KNY) YANDERE PLATONIC! KOKUSHIBO x SISTER READER: You, Shibou. I, Kokoro.
YSIK Masterlist // Next chapter
Tumblr media
A Cherry Blossom is a pretty flower, Blooming in the spring and representing renewal and joy. However it is quick to die out in the winter, Shrivelling up with it's beautiful colour following with it. Leaving the memory of it gone yet never forgotten.
The moon shun bright in the obsidian black sky.
The light that came down illuminated a small, yet well kept gravestone.
It was old, Ancient probably, Cracks were illustrated boldly into the corners and wrapped around the granite like spider webs. it seemed it was about to fall apart at the seams, yet held strong.
Flowers of all colour bustled around the bottom, Fresh, Newly planted.
A man sat on his knees in front of the stone, the only motion he made was the light breeze running through his hair, making his ponytail sway in the wind.
This was no man but instead a demon.
All six of his eyes lay transfixed on the carving written dead-centre on the tombstone, Carved with great care and precision to get it just right.
'[F/N] Tsugikuni'
The mans face was stoic and unreadable, but his eyes were filled with great sorrow and regret.
Kokushibo's arm reached out to the stone, Clawed hands tracing over the lettering carved out.
He asked himself
'How did it come to this?'
☆♡☆
"Michi-Nii!"
A young girl in a blue dragon-patterned haori called out from a distance, She could of only been about four or five yet her little legs were fast and let her catch up to her older brother.
Michikatsu turned around, Mildly surprised at his sister's sudden appearance he stopped in his tracks letting her finally reach him.
"[F/N]. I thought I told you to stay at home and help mother today, You know she needs someone to help her out." Michikatsu said, A little white lie.
His mother, While she wasn't in the best condition, Didn't currently need any help and even if she did little [F/N] would not of been able to do much about it. After all, She was still very young.
[F/N] heaved trying to catch her breath from all that running.
"I know Michi-Nii! but I wanted to come watch you fight!" [F/N] said excitedly, A big expecting smile on her face.
Michikatsu looked into [F/N]'s big puppy dog eyes and sighed. He just couldn't resist.
"..Well alright.. But for the record it's not 'fighting' it's sword training, I'm not fighting anyone, Just preparing for the day when I do, When I become a samurai!" Michikatsu said triumphantly.
[F/N] squealed.
"That's so cool! When I'm a big kid I wanna fight with swords and become a sam-u-mai!" She exclaimed.
"Samurai" Michikatsu corrected.
"Samai!" She responded.
"Samurai" Michikatsu said, Extra slowly so [F/N] could pick up the syllables.
"Samrai!" She said with complete confidence.
Michikatsu snorted and ruffled the girls hair, Who laughed in return.
"Nevermind, Let's get a move on then."
☆♡☆
The sun was high in the sky naming afternoon.
[F/N] sat on the grassy hill next to her brother, Yorichii.
They sat together watching Michikatsu over yonder train his sword swings by hitting dummies out in the field. She watched in wonder at his determination and focus to his craft
Yorichii was the middle child of the family, Michikatsu the oldest and [F/N] the youngest.
Yorichii was a mute. Never spoke or made any motion to communicate, However that never stopped [F/N]'s undying attempts of trying to.
This mostly just consisted of [F/N] following him around, Sleeping in his futon when she had a nightmare or just simply talking her little heart out to him, To which he'd always respond with a little smile and a nod, Showing that he was listening.
He was usually a daydreamer, But today he seemed just as transfixed as she was at their older brother's training.
"Yor-Nii, Where are you going?" [F/N] asked as she watched Yorichii wander down the hill towards Michikatsu.
As usual she got no answer, So she got up and followed him down.
Michikatsu was so fixated on his sword swings that he never noticed Yorichii standing behind him.
So when the physics of one of his sword slashes brought him back stumbling into Yorichii that snapped him out of his training fever.
"Yorichii? What is it?" Michikatsu said surprised. His brother had never interfered while he was training
Yorichii stood still and took in a deep breath, He clenched his fists as if bracing for impact. He opened his mouth.
"...I want to be a samurai like you!" Yorichii stammered not only in his speech but also in his stance.
Michikatsu's sword dropped to the ground with a clang!
A shockwave went through both Michikatsu and [F/N], Their brothers first words to them leaving them speechless.
[F/N] however was the first to speak up.
"Yor-Nii! You can speak! Now we can really talk to each other!" She proclaimed excitedly, Making Yorichii wobble when she jumped to hug him.
Michikatsu stood there, It was hard to tell whether he was shocked at Yorichii's sudden speech or the proclamation of his goal which happened to coincide with both his and [F/N]'s.
"Yorichii.." Michikatsu said just above a whisper.
Yorichii looked back at him with a shaky determination, it shook and swayed but despite the odds it stood strong.
Michikatsu's form deflated, Going back to his calm and stoic demeanour.
"Yorichii. You know what will happen when you're ten, Right?" He said quietly, Only hinting at Yorichii's fate as [F/N] had no idea.
Yorichii nodded. Only taking a glance down at [F/N].
"I know. But I still want to be a samurai, I want to be like you." Yorichii said, Still not given up.
[F/N] perked up.
"Me too! I wanna be a.. samurai too! Like Michi-Nii!" She said, Making sure to pronounce 'Samurai' slowly to pronounce the syllables.
"Hey, You got it right" Michikatsu pointed out, Mildly proud.
Yorichii looked down at [F/N] who still was hugging his waist, He smiled.
"Really? All of us want to be swordsmen?" Yorichii asked now a bit more reserved. He scratched the back of his head.
"Swordgirl!" [F/N] said confidently.
"Swordswoman" Both Yorichii and Michikatsu corrected at the same time.
"Swordgirl?"
This will take a while.
☆♡☆
A good few years have passed since then.
The five-year old little girl [F/N] had grown into a blossoming young woman and is now a little younger than her big brothers were back then.
She still wore a resized version of her blue dragon-patterned haori, The only thing that really stayed the same and came with her through her walk of life.
"You know [F/N], I could convince your father to buy you a new haori" Akeno Tsugikuni, Her mother said to her while running a needle through her haori, resizing the fabric to fit [F/N]'s bigger self.
"This is about the fifth time I've had to refit this old thing. I'm sure your dad would prefer you to have a new one, You are coming up on marriage age after all" She softly spoke to [F/N], But her eyes were fixed on the fabric, Stitching with care.
[F/N] shook her head nonchalantly.
"No, Mom. This was a gift from you, It was homemade. You can't just buy that kind of thing from a tailor." She huffed.
[F/N] sat on the edge of her mothers sick-bed, Her mother laid propped up so she could
Akeno smiled.
"Besides, I don't even think I'd want to get married. I like how my life is right now and you know I still want to be an onna-musha, right?" [F/N] said.
True, Even after all these years [F/N] still held onto the goal of becoming a Female samurai, An onna-musha.
However it seemed like a pipe-dream. With her father's influence and strength she had never picked up a sword, No matter how hard or surreptitiously tried to steal or borrow one of her brothers swords she was always caught in the end and given a right punishment for it.
Still, This never changed her mind on the matter.
"I see... Still haven't given up on that dream, have you?" She hummed.
"Well anyways, If you're so invested into my own sowing then maybe-" Akeno broke out into a fit of coughs, She dropped the needle in favour of covering her mouth.
[F/N] quickly rushed over to her side.
"Mom? Mom, Are you alright" She said, Lightly patting her mothers back.
Akeno stopped sputtering out coughs but still softly wheezed during breaths.
"I'm.. Fine, Sweetheart" She spoke, However her hoarse throat said otherwise.
"No, You're not! You don't need to fix my haori, We can continue later but right now you should lay down." [F/N] worried.
Akeno shook her head.
"I said I'm alright but.. could you go fetch me.. Some water?" She breathed heavily as if all the air around her had thinned.
[F/N] quickly nodded and rushed out the room to complete the task.
She swiftly opened the shoji doors to her house and made her way over to the water-well sat upon the hill. She hoped to the gods above that the well hadn't dried up in the early summer heat.
She reached the small little well and peered inside, The water in the well was plentiful. [F/N] sighed in relief and proceeded to wheel the bucket on the rope down the stony passageway.
CLASH!
[F/N] jumped at the sound, Letting the rope slip from her grasp she watched the bucket fall from its steady pace and hit the water with a loud splash!
"No!" [F/N] yelled. The well was too far down for her to reach the bucket. She cried out in frustration and looked over at the source of noise that dominoed the bucket falling.
Over in the valley beyond the hill was Michikatsu, Still out training with his sword. It was fairly early in the morning and judging by the sweat-beads on his face and the mess of his clothes [F/N] could tell he's been up training since six at least.
That's right, Along with her, Michikatsu had changed as well.
From the strong yet stoic young man that [F/N] had grown up with he had festered into a more strength obsessed yet quiet young man than what he had been before.
[F/N] knew the catalyst well, He was her brother after all.
Yorichii from that day he proclaimed his want to be a samurai, Had demonstrated an inhuman talent for the skill. A man who was working with their father had humoured Yorichii and decided to teach him a basic stance.
However to everyone's surprise, Yorichii had landed four blows on the man and swiftly defeated him. Which is something that Michikatsu never could.
From then on Michikatsu grew a bit darker, Maybe not noticeably. Not noticeable from her father, mother or even Yorichii. But [F/N] could tell.
She barely saw him anymore, Well it was more of she never talked to him anymore. She still watched him train, at least from afar.
An idea clicked in her head.
The bucket in the well was too far down for her to reach, Yes. However it wasn't too far for Michikatsu who was a foot taller than her.
She walked down the hill, Calling out for him.
"Michi-Nii!" She called out to him.
Michikatsu stopped swinging his sword and turned around to look at his little sister with an annoyed scowl on his face.
"What? Can't you see I'm a bit busy at the moment" Michikatsu hissed.
[F/N] froze for a moment.
"I just need a little help, the bucket in the well fell into the water" She explained softly, Scared to entice her brothers wrath.
Michikatsu groaned.
"Alright." He said simply and quickly headed over to the well. [F/N] followed after, Smiling.
"Thank you, Michi-Nii!" She said thankfully.
[F/N] grabbed onto his hand to hold it, But she was shaken off by Michikatsu.
"I told you to stop calling me that, It's stupid and childish" He said, grimacing.
[F/N]'s smile was put out like a light, But she nodded. Trying to respect his wishes.
They got to the well and Michikatsu fished out the bucket with ease and handed it over to [F/N] who bowed down in thanks but with much less emotion put into it.
With that, Michikatsu walked away without a goodbye. Off to go and continue training for the rest of the day and coming back home in the dead of night, Just to go to sleep and repeat the process over and over again.
[F/N] frowned but took the bucket of water back to the house.
Sliding open the Shoji doors she entered the house, remarkably more downtrodden than before.
As she walked the halls towards her mothers room she heard two voices arguing in a hushed tone.
"She doesn't want to get married."
"Too bad. She's coming upon marriage age and if she doesn't want to disrespect this family she will do as she's told and marry the man we've picked out for her"
The two voices, Her mother and father.
She slipped quietly behind the half-open shoji door, Intently listening in on their conversation
"She want's to be an onna-musha, You know." Her mother admitted.
"An onna-musha. Really." Her father responded, A tone full of disgusted shock ran through his voice.
"That girl is too weak to even tend to the horses. Not to mention the girl's only worth will be to marry her off to a nobleman. Her being a samurai along with the men would just be wrong" He said.
There was a silence not just between [F/N]'s parents, But her too.
She's known her father hadn't particularly paid attention to her nor did he show any affection but to think he thought this lowly of her was a gut punch to the stomach.
"Don't say that, Akuhei. She could be listening" Her mother said in a whisper.
"I hope she is. She needs to learn the truth sooner or later or she'll grow up and be delusional to the real world."
[F/N] let tears flow from her cheeks, Dripping down onto the floor.
If she couldn't even get a bucket out from a well, Could she really be a swordswoman?
☆♡☆
Something wasn't right.
It had been a good few hours after [F/N] had eavesdropped on her parents conversation and it had fallen into night-time.
[F/N] had long gone to bed but she wasn't able to fallen asleep easy. It was strange, No matter the situation she had always had no issue with falling into unconciousness.
She rolled and scuffled around on her futon uncomfortably. Could it of been the conversation earlier? No. Couldn't be that, It was something else.
[F/N] rubbed her eyes and got up from her futon. She shuffled on her sandals and quickly draped her newly-sized blue dragon haori around her figure for warmth.
She decided to go for a walk to clear her head.
[F/N] walked softly in the darkened hallways of her home, The soft moonlight illuminated her pathway through the house. She was lost in her own thoughts from the events of the day.
Her father's words, Michikatsu's attitude, Her mother's illness. It all swirled in her mind like a hurricane.
"..I like my life how it is right now"
The words she had told her mother. A lie.
She hated how everything was right now. Her dad saw her as an object to be bid on. Michikatsu acted like she was nothing but a burden to him and Yorichii was nowhere to be found.
Besides, Even if Yorichii and Michikatsu weren't talking either they were obviously the more important in the family.
They were the Sun and the Moon, Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi.
[F/N] wasn't a celestial deity or a celestial body, She was just the terrestrial afterthought. Yorichii and Michikatsu were both skilled and talented in their own rights, They were fawned over by the girls and even some of the boys in the village. They were praised and respected.
[F/N] wasn't even allowed to leave the house.
Now that she thought about it, There was only was her and her mother.
Her mother.
While walking she had stopped in her tracks. Light shone in through the hallway from an open door.
Her mother's door.
[F/N]'s brow quirked. Was her mother up this late as well? She should be asleep, She was very ill after all.
[F/N] peeked through the doorway, Her eyes widened.
Yorichii stood over the bed, Her mother layed motionlessly on the bed.
"Yor-Nii?" [F/N] asked.
Yorichii turned around, A strained look in his eyes. His jaw stood locked tight as if there was something painful he had to say.
"Mother has passed on" Yorichii whispered.
What?
No, No. No no no no no. That couldn't be right, No. It couldn't be right.
[F/N] stumbled over to her mother, Shoving Yorichii out of the way to whom backed off.
"Mum, Mum. Wake up, Hey. Hey, Do you hear me?" [F/N] cried, She grasped onto her mother's limp hand, She shook it in futile attempt to wake her.
"Mum you can't, Mum please." Tears started rolling down her cheeks now, Her breathing laboured.
"Yorichii, Please did you try-"
She turned around, Yorichii was nowhere to be seen.
He had left.
He had left and hadn't even bothered to try and comfort her.
She stared in shock, Not believing her situation
She was brought back by a hand squeezing her own.
She snapped her head back down to her mother, Whose eyes lain weakly on [F/N]'s. A soft yet painful smile appeared on her face.
"Mum!" [F/N] choked.
"[F/N]..." Akeno whispered. "Come closer.."
[F/N] Nodded and leant down closer to her mother, Kneeling down now to listen closely. Her eyes never leaving her mothers
"I never wanted to be married... My father had sold me off at a young age as well." Akeno started.
"I had a chance.. Once.. To leave this place, To get out of my marriage but do you know what happened?" She asked, Looking mournfully into the eyes of her youngest, Who was now choking on her sobs and tears rushing out from her eyes.
Akeno didn't wait for an answer
"I didn't take it.. I was too afraid." A sad smile came upon her.
"My life had ended right there since I never took that chance.. And the only good thing to ever happen after that... were you three."
"[F/N].. Yorichii.. Michikatsu. My beautiful children" Akeno let tears roll down her face now, Reminiscing on her life that was flashing before her now.
"Please.. You now have a chance. Get away while you still can.." Her other hand wiped the tears off of [F/N]'s face weakly, However her hand started to fall.
"Run.. and I promise I will see you again, The kami will reunite us... I love you, [F/N]" She whispered, Her hand falling to her side and the others grip becoming limp. The light in her eyes fading.
"Mum... Mum! No! no no!" [F/N] sobbed, Shaking her mothers now lifeless corpse she collapsed to the floor and cried out for her mum to come back, to speak to her.
"Run, You still have your chance"
Her mothers voice rang in her head, It echoed throughout her entire being.
And with love and tears, She kissed her mother on the forehead and closed her dead eyes. Akeno's face displayed rest, peace.
She said her final goodbye's to her mother and left the room to go back to her own.
And with a heavy heart and a rucksack full of essentials, She climbed out her rooms window and left in the dead of night.

[F/N] trudged through the woodlands.
It was now daybreak, The sun rose upon the distance and shown through cracks in the tree's.
Through all that time [F/N] never stopped walking, Never took a break. The only thing on her mind was escape to a better place.
It was only once she appeared upon a clearing did she stop walking.
In front of her was a rundown Shinto shrine placed upon the mountainy and rocky terrain of the woods.
It had obvious that people hadn't been here in decades by the dust, cobwebs and poor conditions of all the archways and cracked stone lanterns lining the pathway up to the shrine entrance.
Back in it's heyday it would of been grand. A massive shrine that could of held a good few hundred people, As there was a large amount of corridors and a second floor.
Not to mention the vast courtyard [F/N] now found herself standing in.
She breathed in the highland forest air, Took in the birds chirping and the warm light of the sun on her skin.
She looked upon the sign hanging from the archway.
"Inari Ōkami"
The kami of Foxes, Agriculture, Fertility, Tea, Sake and Swordsmiths.
[F/N] frowned at the state of the shrine, Thinking of it as a great disrespect to Inari.
Another thought ran through her mind.
Home. A rundown one for sure, But nothing she couldn't fix.
And that's what she did.
For the next ten years that's what [F/N] did. She fixed the Archways, Refilled the stone lamps, Rebuilt the structuring, Cleaned up the cobwebs and dust all until it looked newly built.
Everyday since she came across it she would give offerings to Inari Ōkami. Ranging from nuts and fruit she would pick up while scavenging to Flowers and pieces of jewellery.
She'd light candles in their honour, Pray to them not for good fortune but for the reformation of the shrine.
She'd grown attached to the shrine, So much so that she had completely forgotten her goal of becoming a swordswoman in favour of being the sole shrine-maiden.
And in that time she had finally bloomed into a beautiful young woman and if anyone should come across her they would describe her as such.
Not that anyone came along though, The shrine was in the middle of nowhere and [F/N] had seen no one in the past decade.
As [F/N] got up for another day to tend to the shrine she wondered what her brothers were doing now.
☆♡☆
[F/N] carried her basket full of fruits, Satisfied from a successful scavenge.
She headed back up towards the large archway that was there to greet people into the temple. It use to be covered in splintered wood but thanks to the efforts of [F/N] the archway was restored with a fresh coat of paint and smoothing of the wood.
When she got up there she stopped, Her eyes widened.
The massive wooden doors to the thick stone wall gate were left wide open.
She was sure she had closed them when she had left.
Her body stiffened and her palms became sweaty.
Who could be in her shrine? Nobody came up the mountains and the nearest village was a good few dozen kilometres away on the far other side of the forest. No one who was just wandering could come across the temple.
[F/N] slowly put the basket of fruit onto the ground, Making sure not to make a sound.
She unsheated her Kaiken from her obi and slowly made her way inside to the courtyard, Which seemed empty.
But she looked upon the main building and just like the gate doors the shoji to the main building were left wide open.
[F/N] confirmed her suspicions. Someone was definetly here.
She made her way inside, Checking the main hallways she found no one around however that never made [F/N] let down her guard.
THUMP!
[F/N] flinched. The sound of an object knocking over came from just down the hall she was facing. Gripping her Kaiken tighter she moved forward towards the sounds
As she got closer, She heard a duo of voices arguing.
"Stop moving, Brother."
"Argh, If you'd let me do it by myself this would go much faster."
"No. You're injured, let me do it."
Wait..
"I'm told you I'm fine. It's just a cut."
Those voices..
[F/N] lowered her Kaiken. She stood, legs shaking. Heart pounding as she slowly called out.
"Michi-Nii? Yori-Nii?"
A sudden shuffling was heard in the room across from her.
The semi-shut shoji doors slammed open and out first came Michikatsu, Who had a semi-wrapped bandage around his arm with Yorichii following close after.
They were in their twenties now and were much older and their faces had changed a lot. But no matter how much they had physically changed [F/N] recognised her brothers, Who both now had surprised yet unrecognisable expressions in their face.
[F/N]'s mouth was open, Her eyes wide and sparkling with recognition.
"[F/N]..." Yorichii said.
"Yori-Nii! Michi-Ni-" She was cut off by the sudden arms pulling her into a tight hug. Michikatsu had moved so fast that she didn't see him move.
"[F/N].." He stuttered, Swaying back and forth while hugging her.
"Nii-san.." [F/N] cried, Gripping the back of his purple hexagonal hakama tightly as she buried her head into the side of his neck.
"You've grown so much.. And look at that" [F/N] grazed the hilt of of his sword, taking in the craftsmenship.
"You've both become swordsmen. I'm so proud, I wish I could've been there to see your ceremony" She whispered.
Michikatsu never responded to her words, instead going into a speech of his own.
"[F/N].. I lost you. You disappeared out of nowhere.. I searched for you for years.." Michikatsu was lost for words. If [F/N] didn't know better she could of sworn he was crying.
"I'm sorry, Michi-Nii. I'm sorry I didn't tell you where I went" [F/N] whispered.
The bear hug grip on her got tighter.
"Never. And I mean never leave me again. You have no idea what you put me through... You better promise" He scolded. [F/N] nodded vigorously.
"I promise."
☆♡☆
"So this is where you've been living for the past ten years?" Michikatsu asked, Looking around the haiden.
The place was a massive hall dedicated to worship of Inari. at the very end was the main worship shrine, Which was bustling with hand-woven straw baskets filled with offerings and lit candles in Inari's honour.
"Yeah.. When I ran away ten years I came across this place and made it my home. Been like that ever since." [F/N] smiled, Proud of the hall.
It was indeed very pretty, The new refurbished decorations of flowers, candles and banner-work created a grandiose appearance. The wooden pillars supported the tall height of the room and had beams at the top connecting them all with baskets filled with flowers hanging from them.
The entire room looked like it was built and cared for by an entire team of shrine maidens, Not a single dust spot to be seen.
Yorichii and Michikatsu stared in awe at the work.
"And you maintained this place all by yourself?" Yorichii asked, Genuinely in wonder at the décor.
"Well.. Apart from the occasional seller I meet when I'm scavenging for food nearest the road.. They sell me candles, Banners and other things needed for maintenance.. It's all done by me." [F/N] explained.
"It's.. Impressive. To think how you learned all this.." Michikatsu said.
"I get all my information from the shrine's library, From then on you figure it out on the way." [F/N] responded, Completely humble to the praise she received.
She turned around to her brothers with a smile.
"What about you two? Tell me what's been happening, And how'd you get that cut?" She asked innocently, Pointing to Michikatsu's bandaged arms
The two twins looked at each other, Having a silent conversation with each other. Contemplating what they should tell. Both of them very apprehensive, they shared a knowing look between them.
[F/N] frowned.
"..Is it not something you want to tell me?" She asked.
"Well.. It's hard to believe but-" Yorichii started.
"It’s just a mistake from sword training. Don't you worry about it." Michikatsu finished.
Yorichii looked over at him, Surprised at his sudden interruption.
[F/N]'s eyes narrowed. She felt curious but decided to drop the subject.
"Well anyways.. I need to go retrieve my fruit basket from outside and do my morning rounds around the shrine. Feel free to have a look around, Just please don't touch anything " [F/N] said, bowing her head low and heading towards the exit.
"Hold on, I'll come with you" Michikatsu said, He went to follow after his sister but was stopped when a hand pulled him back.
"Go on ahead, [F/N]. Michikatsu-Nii will catch up." Yorichii said. [F/N] nodded.
She said goodbye in the form of a hug, Michikatsu then Yorichii.
Michikatsu shot Yorichii a scorning look.
"What do you want?" Michikatsu hissed, The usual irritation of his brother turned up a notch.
"We need to tell her, Nii-san. So we can help her set up wisteria around the place." Yorichii argued.
Michikatsu gritted his teeth.
"Wisteria would be a good idea. But we don't need to tell her about demons, I mean look at her! She's still young" Michikatsu said, exasperated.
"She's eighteen, Nii-san. More than old enough to know about demons, about how to protect herself." Yorichii countered.
"She won't need to learn how to protect herself If I'm there to do it for her" Michikatsu hissed.
Yorichii's face scrunched up. He took a step forward towards Michikatsu and stood steady.
"Nii-san, I know you and [F/N] were attached by the hip when she was young but you can't always be there for her, She's strong enough to survive on her own but not strong enough to survive a possible demon attack, So we need to inform her. She won't let us plant wisteria around the shrine without a very good reason " Yorichii argued, His point stood stronger than he did.
Michikatsu's teeth gritted and his face was a visage of concealed anger like they were standing in the eye of the storm waiting for the inevitable onslaught.
"You always need to know better, Don't you Yorichii?" Michikatsu spat in a low tone.
Yorichii was surprised at Michikatsu's sudden animosity towards him, He was confused. This had never happened before.
"What do you mean to imply by that, Nii-san?" Yorichii asked, Slight worry coming over him for his brother who seemed restless.
Michikatsu suddenly became aware of his sudden outburst, His shoulders dropped from their previously stiff position. He sighed.
"Nothing... I shouldn't of spoke out like that." Michikatsu said, Quickly bowing his head to Yorichii he began to leave the shrine hall.
"Where are you going?" Yorichii called after him.
"To go find [F/N]. And make sure she's alright" He responded, Leaving the hall in search of his little sister.
☆♡☆
Michikatsu looked around the shrine for [F/N].
He walked the halls, checked the empty rooms, searched the courtyard, looked around the perimeter of the shrine and scoured through the shrine's impressively large and overflowing gardens but turned up empty.
He was frustrated. Where could she be? The forest surrounding the temple was fairly thick and shading and who knows? A demon might of been able to cover itself in the foliage and maybe she had left the shrine to pick up her basket only to come face to face with the monster and-
Michikatsu couldn't think anymore about it.
Sweat beads started forming on his head, What if she ran away? She couldn't, she sworn to him that she'd never leave him again. She couldn't of done that to him! What if she wasn't happy to see him and took the chance to leave while he was being lectured by Yorichii?
Yorichii.
Did she favour him over Michikatsu? When you were hugging him to say goodbye he could of sworn you had hugged Yorichii just a little bit tighter than him, Smiled a little bigger, Looked a little happier.
As he searched the halls for a second time he felt another burst of envy rise up in him, Something that had been occurring more and more lately.
His thoughts stopped when he stepped on an uneven dip in the ground. He felt around with his foot and outlined a frame of sorts.
He looked down to see he was standing on a rug. He then looked up realising that he was at the end of the hallway.
He reached down and pulled away the rug revealing a trapdoor, Assumedly leading down to the basement of the shrine.
A basement? Shrines don't usually have basements, He thought to himself.
He noticed the padlock on the handle was unlocked It was also spotless without a trace of dust, Indicating that it was used often.
He opened the door with a small creak of the wood. It revealed a short stone staircase which lead down to a low-ceiling hallway.
Michikatsu raised an eyebrow. He looked left and right before going down the stairs slowly. One step at a time.
He got down to the bottom of the stairs. The ceiling was certainly low as it grazed the top of Michikatsu's head making him feel uncomfortable in the small passageway.
He walked along the tunnel, each of his footsteps producing a faint echo as he went along. The tunnel was comparably cold to the early summer heat from up top.
At the end of the passageway was a wooden door, It looked old and rigid. Looking at the rest of the shrine this was a surprise for Michikatsu as the rest of it was pristine and in perfect shape compared to the derelict looking door.
He reached the door which he now realised was opened just a slight amount.
He pressed his ear to the door, Listening intently.
The sound of cloth on metal sounded on the other side. It was a sound he recognised well, It was polishing of a sword.
He pushed the door open to find [F/N] sitting on her knees with a strange looking sword in hand, a dry cloth in the other.
"Michi-Nii!" [F/N] jumped in surprise and dropped the cloth.
She sat in a much wider room than the hallway. The stone walls were filled with holding frames and shelves, The majority of them empty but still a good few holding rather precious looking trinkets.
At the end of the room which was facing the door and [F/N] held a sort of table harbouring a headpiece stand, Which was obviously suppose to hold the sword in her hands. It was also home to a kitsune mask hanging above it with eyes that looked like it was staring right through him.
"How'd you find the room?" [F/N] said rather surprised.
"Never mind how I found it. Why are you here?" He asked sternly, As if he was scorning a misbehaving child.
"Why am I in a room inside my own shrine?" [F/N] scoffed lightly.
"More of why didn't you tell me where you were, I was worried and I couldn't find you anywhere." He asked more forceful in tone.
[F/N] seemed confused at his reasoning but chalked it up to him still being a little shaken by their reunion.
"...I'm sorry... Coming in here to tend to the artefacts here is apart of my weekly rounds." She explained. A meek look appearing on her face.
Michikatsu sighed.
"Alright then. But please, Tell me next time you wander off into some hidden basement." He said in a softer voice leading to [F/N] calming down.
"What is this room anyways?" Michikatsu asked, Examining the room.
[F/N] peaked up, A sparkle of excitement in her eyes.
"Oh! Well according to the blueprints and builders logs I've found in the library this room was specially built to hold the shrine's treasures. Oh! Wait, hold on!" [F/N] exclaimed.
She reached over to the table in front of her and pulled out a fairly tiny roll of parchment paper, Unfolding it she displayed it to Michikatsu who looked down reading it.
"Apparently one of the noble-clanswoman paying for the building of the shrine here had a really steamy affair with some hot-shot samurai who use to gift her a TON of gifts" [F/N] explained with a passion, Her eyes held a glint of story.
"So to hide them away from her husband she built this little hidey-hole so he wouldn't discover them" She finished.
"What happened to her?" Michikatsu asked, Entertaining her passion.
She only shrugged though.
"No clue, The rest of the parchment was torn and I haven't found the other half..." She said, Disappointment filling her voice.
Michikatsu nodded and looked towards the sword in [F/N]'s lap.
"I can understand the other little objects around here but a sword?" Michikatsu said dumfounded.
[F/N] shook her head.
"No! No. The only two items in the room that weren't a gift was this sword and the kitsune mask hanging over there" She said, Pointing towards the kitsune mask hung by rope.
"Then what are they doing here?"
"They're the shintai that were suppose to be worshipped here at the shrine." [F/N] stretched over and tugged the hanging mask off the rope and presented both it and the sword to Michikatsu, Signalling him to take it.
As he did she told him to be careful while holding them.
The sword was nothing similar to any Katana he's wielded, Nor was it like anything he'd seen in the country. Instead it was built like a very large medieval English sword with the only hint of Japanese influence being the blue hilt which resembled the typical katana.
One side of the sharpened blade was covered in a sort of second sharper metal which glimmered azure in the dim light of the room.
The mask however was oddly designed compared to the usual festival mask. It was made of porcelain and its eyes were carved in a sort of wide eyed stare, The whites of it being a dark black and the pupils sapphire.
Thick cerulean marks adorned the mask, Swirling around the mask and centring at the bullseye of the mask. Except for the ears which were deeply patterned with swirls and flower-esque designs culminating at the covered tips.
The two items radiated a sort of energy from both which Michikatsu couldn't place.
"They're twin artefacts. It's said in the shrines folklore that they belonged to Inari Okami themselves gifted to them by their father, Izanagi. And from the heavens above they dropped them on accident and both the sword and the mask fell to here, The mortal realm" She explained with low wonder.
"The sword is named very bluntly as "The Soul Sword". It's called that because it's said by the previous shrine maidens that when a person is killed by the blade the soul of the person is absorbed into it and prevented from passing onto the afterlife. An eternity in the blade." She told as if it was rehearsed, It probably was.
She pointed to the Mask
"The mask however isn't named but it's said to warp the body of the user to their desire, Disguising themselves completely." She said.
"And does it work?" Michikatsu asked, Studying the mask.
"Haven't tried. It's a sacred artefact of the shrine. It would be a disrespect to Inari if I did." She stated.
Michikatsu examined both of the artefacts as [F/N] rambled away on the tale of the two, They were very well kept.
"You really know a lot about this stuff. Don't you?" He said more of to himself.
[F/N] nodded.
"Yeah. I guess it's just something I'm passionate about" She muttered.
Suddenly, Their conversation was interrupted by a voice upstairs calling out.
"Nii-San! [F/N]!" Yorichii called out from up above them, Voice faint and muffled from the thick stone walls.
Michikatsu groaned being mildly annoyed at being interrupted by Yorichii. [F/N] perked up however.
"That's Yorichii. Better go see what he needs!" She said. [F/N] grabbed both the sword and the mask from Michikatsu's grasp and settling them back with care onto their designed positions, As well as rolling up the parchment paper and putting it under the table
She dusted off her beryl coloured haori and got up from the tatami mat she was sitting on.
"Come on, Better not keep him waiting!" [F/N] said making her way out without waiting for Michikatsu, Who quickly followed after.
They made their way back up the stairs to find Yorichii a few metre's down the hall. He was standing there watching them come up with an arm stretched out, A crow perched neatly on it with a small roll of parchment paper tied to its neck by a string.
"What is it, Yorichii?" Michikatsu asked eyeing the crow.
"Oyataka-sama has summoned us to the headquarters, Urgent meeting." Yorichii said, a tint of unhappiness in his voice.
Michikatsu's face scrunched up in resentment, Obviously not excited by the news.
[F/N] frowned.
"..You've got to leave?" She asked looking up at Michikatsu who looked back with her with an expression saying that he didn't want to. But Yorichii's voice maintained importance.
"..I suppose so.." He said reluctantly. Not wanting to leave his sister alone. His eyes expanded with an idea formed in his head.
"Why don't you come with us, [F/N]?" Michikatsu asked going to stand next to Yorichii. The crow once perched on his arm squawked once. And with a flap of its wings it took off out an ajar window.
[F/N]'s palms suddenly got sweaty at the thought. Her shoulders felt heavy and slumped down with her face portraying one of heavy adversion
She shook her head, Michikatsu's face fell.
"It's not a long trip if that's what you're worried about, If you get tired we can get a horse or I could carry you-" Michikatsu was cut off by [F/N]'s hum of disapproval.
"It's not the trip. It's just I really don't want to leave the shrine unattended y'know?" She asserted. Evidently after spending an entire decade in it's walls she had grown dependant and attached so much to the point she couldn't journey far out of it.
"You can leave the shrine for a few days. Just please come with us, It'll be fine." Michikatsu reasoned, a small ounce of anxiety rising up into his chest at the thought of her being left.
[F/N] shook her head again.
"No, I'm sorry. But it's not forever, You can still come visit!" She spouted in an asking tone, Waiting for him to confirm.
Michikatsu shared a look with Yorichii. Yorichii's look told him he agreed with their sister while Michikatsu's only told of aversion.
However feeling outnumbered in the situation he reluctantly sighed and agreed to [F/N]'s proposal.
With a heavy heart and bag of food [F/N] prepared for their journey, Michikatsu spared one last look to see her before heading out into the forest.
☆♡☆
In the five months that passed from that day forward were probably the happiest days of [F/N]'s life.
Every few days her brothers would come and visit her at the shrine after a mission and they'd stay for around two days before the crow came along and the process started all over again.
She'd even arranged them their own little rooms and the crow would come in advance to announce their arrival so she could prepare them food.
It was nice to be reunited with her family after a decade of solitude. The routine they got into was nice and became sort of domestic.
Though, Over the months [F/N] couldn't help but notice a sort of tension between Michikatsu and Yorichii however it was one-sided. Only Michikatsu initiated it while Yorichii was none the wiser.
It seemed more aggressive as the months went on. Michikatsu focused more on his training similar to what he did when they were younger. He'd have more hostility towards Yorichii and weirdest of all he seemed much more clingy and possessive towards her.
However [F/N] didn't like to think of it. While she knew it was there and she knew they'd have to talk about it at some point, She decided that it'd be better to wait for the right time to bring it up.
Everyday [F/N] would get up at around seven in the morning to do her rounds, Collect food and pray to Inari for an hour or two before going out to the main wooden shrine steps to sit and wait for her brothers to return.
When they did they would eat together, They'd tell stories of their mission no matter how surface level and vague they described it. They'd train outside in the courtyard while [F/N] watched from the steps in awe at their skill.
She recalled back to her childhood and her dream of becoming a samurai like her brothers, While it was true she now favoured the shrine over that old fairy-tale it didn't mean that she still didn't ponder over it often, Daydream while she brushed the floors, Envision the swing of a sword when she spun the brush around.
However of course, It was just a pipe dream. Just a silly pipe dream. But often she asked herself: Why not both?
[F/N] watched Michikatsu from the steps as he practiced sword swings in the shrine courtyard, Taking occasional glances at his sister to make sure she was watching him. The thought ran throughout her head. While she hadn't picked up a sword before other than The Soul Sword (Which at times, She lightly swung it around before setting it down. Then right after feeling ashamed for using a sacred artefact she proceeded to pray for forgiveness at the altar)
She was sure she could try.
While Michikatsu was swinging his sword she had got up from the step with a stumble. She wobbled a little and grabbed the handle bars to steady herself.
She took a deep breath and slowly walked down the stairs which suddenly seemed like a herculean task.
She set her sandal-covered feet onto the courtyard with an unnecessary effort and started walking towards Michikatsu who was only a few metre's ahead of her.
With every step she took her body seemed to get heavier. It felt like weights were being tied to her ankles every time she lifted her foot.
The distance seemed to widen between her and her brother. Her eyelids seemed to get heavier too.
And with another single undignified step her knees collapsed on her. She fell down to the floor with a thump! as her body relaxed and crumpled over on the ground.
Her eyes got blurry as she saw Michikatsu rush over to her tired body and listened to him shout out something she couldn't hear
She closed her eyes and untensed her body. Falling into the pitch black void of unconciousness.
☆♡☆
[F/N] lay motionless in her bed.
A wet cloth lay over her forehead and a light blanket was lain on top of her.
It was two months since that day she collapsed. She was carried by Michikatsu and was rushed to the nearest village where she was seen by a doctor who gave her the diagnosis.
It was her mothers illness, Turning out to be hereditary and passed down onto [F/N]. However this seemed to be more severe and had developed into later stages quickly.
The doctor had said that she should be put in bedrest but despite Michikatsu's yelling and paranoid yelling there was no cure.
The first few days consisted of Michikatsu being hunched over her bed refusing to leave her side. Over the two months he had grown even worse than he did before.
He was angry before. Competitive, Hostile, Aggressive you name it. But now?
Now he was paranoid, Jumpy, Clingy piled on with all of those traits before.
Yorichii couldn't get through to him, He didn't hide his ire towards Yorichii now and hissed insults at him whenever he tried to speak to Michikatsu.
The first month was Michikatsu searching for a cure. He'd travel from village to village trying to find a doctor who could cure [F/N]. He scoured the Shrine's libraries and had gone mad trying.
Four days ago he had told [F/N] that he was going out again and that she was not to leave her bed unless she was going to get food or do her prayers, Which [F/N] had begged to be allowed.
He had stocked up enough food and water in the pantry for his trip when he left.
He told her that he would be back in two days, It was four now. Yorichii had been with her the first month but after he was called out on a very important mission he never came back.
When she asked Michikatsu what happened to him, He wouldn't tell her.
To say [F/N] was worried was an understatement. Michikatsu was never late, He'd always sent his crow to let her know even if he was.
Suddenly she was aware of a loud creaking. The main shrine gates.
Michikatsu must be back, [F/N] thought. A rush of excitement ran through her and overpowered the cold sweat of her sickness.
She'd gotten up from her futon and wrapped herself in her blanket to prevent the cold winter air from bothering her too much.
It was snowing outside. A blizzard had grown strong while she had slept earlier. Before when she was well in the health department she had prepared well for the winter and could survive during it, Making the inside of the shrine warm all throughout the season.
Now however that she depended on her brothers who were nowhere to be found the cold permeated the hallways and stung the tips of her fingers and nose.
She shivered and slid open the shoji doors to hobble through the hallways towards the courtyard, Ready to greet Michikatsu.
However when she quietly opened the door she wasn't greeted by Michikatsu. But instead two strange men with swords standing in the snowstorm. who hadn't seem to notice her yet
"This is it? Seems rundown." One of the men said
"According to his crow this is where he has been staying for the past few months. He must be here, Someone must pay for what he did and hiding here won't prevent what's coming to him." The other growled, Anger etched onto his features.
[F/N], A little insulted at her shrine being called run down, Made herself known by letting out a loud cough.
"Who are you? And what are you doing at my shrine?" The girl asked
The two looked up at the source. Their hands jumped to their sheathed swords as they looked up at her in antagonism.
They slowly approached her, So much so that they were now standing under the wooden porch roof.
[F/N] stumbled back in a way of getting distance between her and the men.
The one that called her shrine rundown stepped forward. He bowed down in respect to her.
"Greetings there. We're sorry to trouble you but we're looking for a man. His name is Yorichii Tsugikuni. He wears hanafuda earing's and his hair in a ponytail. Have you seen him anywhere?" He said.
Swords. Right. These must be Yorichii's colleagues. [F/N] relaxed slightly.
"Oh, You two must be his co-workers!" She exclaimed, Relief flooding her system.
She curtsied in respect.
"My name is [F/N] Tsugikuni. I am his younger sister, Unfortunately I haven't seen him for a month or two and I don't know where he's been. Apologies." I sighed.
The two men looked at each other.
"Sister? You're his sister?" The angrier one said, A hint of hostility in his voice.
Suddenly a chill ran up her spine, Something was wrong.
"Uhm.. Yes." [F/N] said with caution. Though she was tempted to lie, It just wasn't in her nature.
The angrier man now referred to as Man A gripped the hilt of his sheathed sword tighter.
"Well. I don't know if you know this but two months ago your brother... Messed up, Per se. Causing a great loss towards the demon corps..." He said. His words implied something unknown to [F/N]. The corners of her lips twitched. Demon corps? Messed up? The meaning eluding her.
"A lot of people got hurt. Including our father." Man A sneered. His face the exact visage of vengeance.
Man B behind him wasn't as such but still held a face of stone.
The realisation of what was happening hit [F/N] like a freight train. Her hands grew sweaty as they quickly rushed the shoji doors.
"I... I am so sorry to hear that. B-But unfortunately my brother isn't here right now... I've got to go tend to the haiden. Please, Come back later." Her voice trembled and shook despite how much she tried to keep her tone steady and confident.
As her hands tried to quickly shut the shoji doors the metal of a sword stopped the doors from opening fully.
[F/N] yelped and stumbled back from the door. The two men forced their way into the shrine hallway. [F/N] felt her back hit the wall.
"I'm sorry about what is to happen. But Yorichii Tsugikuni needs to pay for what he did and the death of his sister will bring about our revenge. Please forgive us." Man B said finally unsheathing his sword.
Run.
[F/N]'s feet grew light as she took off down the shrine hall, The two men hot on her tail as she careened round the corners and throughout the shrine.
She felt her heart pound heavy in her chest. Both from the almost paralysing fear and the illness coursing throughout her system.
Her legs felt weak but carried on. Her pace just a little bit faster than the men behind her despite all odds, She unconsciously thanked the hours she spent out in the woods running around for resources.
Tears burst like a dam from her eyes and flew from her eyes as she sprinted. Choked sobs periodically interrupted the heavy breaths she took from running.
The faster she ran, The more corners she turned the more thoughts ran rampant throughout her head.
Exits? Only the main gate which she was currently running away from and were closed on the way in, It takes too much time to open those doors and the men would catch up to her in no time. Convince them to stop? Impossible. The men seemed determined in their goal and no amount of talking would change anything. The hidden room? On the other side of the shrine and she didn't have the key on her
[F/N] had gained a bit of distance from the men at this point, Having shook them off her trail for a very short amount of time.
She ran to where her heart took her, To the place she felt safest.
The offering hall which use to look bright and full of flowers, baskets of food and was spotless now was empty and cold. The candles went long unlit and a bit of dust built up and went into the air when she slammed open the doors, Making her cough.
[F/N] ran to the altar with her legs trembling. She fell to her knees in front of it crying her eyes out. Her body positioned into its usual prayer formation as she choked out her sobs.
"Please! Inari. I-I'm going to die... I haven't asked for anything from the day I've got here... Please spare my life.. L-Let me live! I don't want to die, Inari. Please.. Please.." [F/N] broke down in front of the altar as she chanted please over and over again like a sacred sutra.
She wailed quietly in front of the shrine letting all her emotions out from her eyes.
She never noticed the men standing behind her as she prayed. Their expressions serious and unaffected by the girl's unheard prayers.
Man A raised his katana. Holding it in his grasp he raised it high above his head.
And with a yell he swiftly brought it down.
Blood splattered the offerings room. Drenching the two men and the girl below, The blade going straight through her back.
☆♡☆
Cold.
It was so cold.
The men had left her there bleeding, How long ago she didn't know.
She had made her way out of the shrine. Past the main doors, Past the entrance gate and the pathway and out into the main part of the forest.
The blade had went right through her chest out the other side, She gripped it tightly while the blood stained her dragon-patterned haori colouring it crimson.
It was a miracle she had got this far out into the blizzard. The tip of her nose had frozen and her jaw chattered letting out cold air.
She weakly turtled into her haori for warmth however it proved futile.
The white snow behind her left a red trail as she walked.
Soon enough it was too much.
Soon enough, She collapsed.
☆♡☆
Quickly throughout the forest, Kokushibo ran quickly up the mountain through the unrelenting blizzard, Which never stung him in the slightest.
It had only been a few hours since he woke up from consuming that man's blood. His appearance now changed from the transformation which took three days to complete.
He carried a vial of that mans blood in one of his hands. He remembered the deal vividly in his mind.
Strength for him, A way to become stronger. Stronger than his brother. A way to avoid the eventual fate of all those who bore the demon slayer mark.
And a vial of that man's blood to save his dying sister.
He ran like hell. Snow crunching from the rapid footsteps behind him.
He stopped however, When the faintest scent of blood invaded his senses.
All three sets of his eyes widened.
He picked up his pace again. Now heading toward the smell.
His heartrate picked up. It couldn't be. It can't. [F/N] was alright. She was okay. Even now after becoming a demon, He still felt possessiveness affection towards his sister.
He came to a halt.
His heart dropped to his stomach as he tried to comprehend the sight in front of him. His eyes widened and his jaw slack open.
There in the snow, Lay a body curled up in a fetal position.
Snow had built up on it. It lay motionless buried in the snow.
He recognised it as [F/N].
"[F/N]!!" He yelled, running over to the body.
He fell to his knees in front of her and shoved off all the built up snow.
He pulled her body so her head was laying down on his lap. He shook her gently.
"...[F/N].. Wake up. Come on." He whispered. His shaking now growing more frantic to her lack of response.
He looked at the vial in his right hand.
Opening her mouth he popped open the seal and poured the red liquid into her mouth.
He watched it pour onto her tongue and down her throat. He waited for the reaction.
However, Nothing came.
He waited and waited. Nothing.
He felt his eyes water and flow out from them as the dawning realisation hit him.
He was holding his little sister's corpse in his arms.
He couldn't protect her. She had died and he wasn't there to protect her.
He yelled, Screamed and cried. In anger, Frustration, Sorrow, Guilt and mourning for his loss. He couldn't do anything.
However when he finally noticed the stab wound he realised this was murder. He could do something.
He carried his sister's body in his arms and pulled her close to his chest as he quietly grieved for her.
He brought her body back to her beloved shrine and set her down at the head of the shrine where she loved the most.
He'd deal with her body later. But for now he had to get revenge for the death of his little sister.
Using his blood demon art to make a sword he gripped it tight.
He set off into the blizzard already with a scent on the targets.
He looked back once at the shrine. The last remaining parts of his humanity dying in there with his sister
And with that he left. Never to look back again.
☆♡☆
It was five hundred years ago.
Kokushibo began reminiscing when he sat in front of her gravestone. What he did that night.
He had gotten his revenge, The two slayers slowly tortured and then eaten by him. Their screams and their pleads for mercy when they showed [F/N] none.
He had started with the fingers and toes, Then he moved up to the lower limbs, Slowly he ate them alive. He made one of them watch him while he ate, All before he moved onto them.
He made them confess who killed her to which after a little persuasion they admitted easily.
They got the worst of it, He didn't even eat him after the torture. Just left him pinned to a tree bleeding out. He had put him up high only giving him the options of freezing to death, bleeding out or dying from the fall.
The memories rewound in his head like a film. Flashing memories of when she was born and he got to cradle her in his arms. All the way up until he only held her lifeless corpse, Killed too soon.
He had mourned for a long time after that, Never really getting over her death, Not even now as he set down the new flowers on her grave built near the house they grew up in.
He couldn't bring himself to consume her body, He could never. It was too much.
He got up and dusted himself off, Just like she use to do.
He turned away and walked into the night, Melding into the shadows as he went off to find his next meal.
☆♡☆
The morning rays shun down on the Ubuyashiki Estate. Flowers in full bloom with wisteria ripe in the air.
Birds chirped and grasshoppers hummed in the bushes. The neatly trimmed and well kept garden a fit home for them
The Hashira had gathered and stood in front of the porch awaiting the arrival of their master. They talked amongst themselves in the meantime.
Mitsuri, The Love Hashira tugged on the hand of another. A soft smile gracing her face.
"Fujimori-san! You should really come out with me sometime, It's been ages since we've done something together!" Mitsuri teased lightly.
Fujimori laughed lightly from behind the kitsune mask with cerulean markings he (he?) wore. The medival english looking sword positioned in front of him pointing downward, His two hands gripping the katana-like hilt.
He was tall and muscular but had more of an athletic build. He had tattoo's from his neck to his lower arms describing pictures typically seen in shrine art.
His blue dragon-patterned haori that was draped around his lower arms lightly wove in the wind along with his [H/C] locks tied into a ponytail.
"What do you mean? We went on a mission together last week!" He chuckled.
Mitsuri huffed and lightly gripped his hand
"When I mean spend time together I mean like we should go to a hot spring or go out to eat together or-" Mitsuri continued rambling on as she listed off possible activities they could do together.
Fujimori, [F/N] listened intently onto her as she talked.
She (She? She.) however was only thinking of his visions: A sick woman, A woman with fox markings and a man in a purple hakama.
She'd need to figure it out later.

Can you pls do platonic yandere sanemi x demon child reader (that is also tanjiros and nezukos younger sibling to)
soft yandere!older brother figure!shinazugawa sanemi x child!demon!reader hcs [platonic]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TITLE: " TURBULENCE " — navi.
A/N: this contains huge manga spoilers in regards to sanemi's past/relationships!! also ,, ty for being patient annonie, if ur still there :') also i accidentally posted this b4 i finished it, so sorry if anyone saw that...
PAIRING: soft yandere!older brother figure!shinazugawa sanemi x child!demon!kamado!reader (platonic)
CHARACTERS: shinazugawa sanemi (21), reader (12), nezuko (14), tanjiro (16)
Tumblr media
☆ sanemi hates demons.
☆ that much is clear from the spectacle he made of your older sister, nezuko, at the hashira's headquarters with that horrrible temper of his. needless to say, you don't like him at all and he clearly doesn't like you or your sister, either. it certainly doesn't help that master kagaya seems to have a sour sense of humor as you're now stuck with him as your babysitter.
☆ both tanjiro and nezuko vehemently object to master kagaya's orders. the servants of the residence had to literally rip you from the ironed grips of your older siblings, who were screaming bloody murder as if you'd be separated for the rest of eternity. they were certainly being a tad bit dramatic, but you'd be lying if you said you weren't just as upset.
☆ with the deal set in stone, however, sanemi drags you to his home as begrudgingly as humanly possible and condemns you to one of his spare bedrooms. apparently he lived alone (expected tbh) in a traditional style home, complete with the koi ponds and bamboo deer scares. it's nice, you'll give him that, but his nasty attitude doesn't seem to match the beauty of his residence.
☆ although your living conditions are less than ideal, you're old enough to know that staying under someone else's roof is almost never free. you try (keyword: try) to do what you can to help around the house but sanemi is constantly hollering at you to leave him alone or to not mess with his stuff.
☆ he insists you stay in your room and out of his way, but you still tail behind him from afar out of your debilitating boredom. if he notices, he says nothing, and simply ignores you as if you're not even there. at least when you were with tanjiro and nezuko there was always something to do—sanemi is so boring.
☆ sometimes sanemi gets really angry for seemingly no reason and at any given time. he'll storm outside and take it out on the poor practice dummies that litter his backyard, grunting in oblivious rage when he accidentally kicks one of their heads off. you're not sure what it is about you that makes him so angry; you've kind of already ruled it out as his perpetual state of being.
☆ and, well, sanemi doesn't... hate you. you remind him so much of his younger brother, genya, and most of his anger is only borne out of pain. as the eldest of the family he once knew, it's not like the instincts he acquired to take care of his siblings just went away. you simply remind him of who he used to be and the weaknesses that tore his family apart make him inexplicably angry.
☆ considering your resemblance to his late younger siblings (and genya), sanemi does get protective over you in his own ways. sometimes you meddle too close to the windows during the day, so he'll yell at you to move. or sometimes when you're scarfing down the raw meat he gives you, he yells at you to slow down lest you choke.
☆ it may seem like he's not paying attention to you at all, but he's always peeking at you with watchful eyes. he's notices that you like to watch him train but can't be out in the sun, so he hung up a blanket in the branches of a nearby tree without saying a word to you. you smile knowing that you're growing on him.
☆ during the evening, sanemi often catches you out in the garden picking flowers. usually he'd shrug his shoulders and turn his nose up, but he felt compelled to see what you were doing out there all the time. plus, he couldn't have you wandering out beyond the walls.
☆ "what're you doin', kid?" sanemi's booming voice scares you and you drop your basket of colorful flowers on the ground with a squeak. you scramble to gather them again and you're surprised to see a pair of scarred hands helping out, too.
☆ "i'm gonna make flower crowns for when tanjiro and nezuko get back." you answer once all the flowers are back in the basket. sanemi snorts. "flower crowns?"
☆ you nod. "yup! here, i'll show you how to make one." sanemi has zero time to refuse as you grab his hand and pull him down onto the grass with you. you take a length of string that you had stolen from one of his many rooms of junk and began to attach the flowers to it with a clever weaving pattern.
☆ sanemi is fuming in embarrassment as you eagerly teach him how to make a stupid flower crown. this is ridiculous. but why can't he just get up and leave? when you hand him the string of flowers to try it out for himself, your childish giggling is contagious as he fumbles clumsily and accidentally crushes the delicate stem in his callous grip.
☆ in the end, sanemi finds himself enjoying making flower crowns with you, but he threatens you violently with a ruffle of your hair should you tell anyone about it. he would never admit it but as he looks at the crudely made flower crown that you helped him with, he feels a distantly familiar feeling of warmth igniting in his heart again.
☆ the rest of the days you spend with sanemi begin to feel more pleasant than it did initially. sanemi no longer leaves you to your own devices, but instead tries to find things for you to do during the day when you can't go outside. he'll bring you puzzles and teach you how to read with children's folktales written on tarnished scrolls that he said he kept from his old family home.
☆ you're not sure what happened, but sanemi dotes on you now. once you had tripped and split your finger open, and sanemi rushed to your side like it had been your head. it healed within a few seconds, but sanemi still scolded you for walking around unsupervised.
☆ and when you get feverish due to your refusal of eating human flesh, which is often, sanemi tarries by your side day and night in order to make sure you're as comfortable as can be. cold, damp towels on your forehead, fresh raw meat at your bedside, and anything else you want, he gets for you. the worry etched into the lines of his forehead shows how much he cares about you.
☆ by the time tanjiro and nezuko return from their mission to collect you, sanemi doesn't even want to let you go. in fact, you've both grown attached to each other and while you're overjoyed to see your siblings again, sanemi has also become something like an older brother to you. you've grown to love the big residence and his presence.
☆ you're in tears as sanemi pats your head and smiles crookedly at you for what feels like the last time. you beg tanjiro to let you stay longer but he firmly tells you no. sanemi makes tanjiro promise that he'll take you to visit him or else he'll kill him (he's serious).
☆ when you inevitably depart from sanemi (tanjiro has to pry you away from him), he feels about as lonely as the day is long. the residence feels too big without you following behind him like his own shadow, and every time he turns a corner he half-expects to find you doing something to cause trouble.
☆ sanemi takes the flower crown you both made and seals it in a glass jar. he hopes that you'll visit again before it withers, or else he might just go out and find you himself.

I'm planing on writing more of a story for platonic yandere demon slayer and if you're interested let me know.
Platonic yandere daki and gyutaro
I can see these two gaining there obsession if they had a little sibling or (in very rare occasions) they see a child and go "yup there our little sibling now"
(Your a demon in this btw)
Tumblr media
Daki
You are with her most of the time working as an assistant to her. But the only things you do is fetch things and keep her calm so she doesn't make a mess although, she is very apologetic to you if you have to clean up her mess.
She loves brushing your hair and expects you to do the same
If she hears any bad rumors about you she will put an end to them either by killing them or by using her influence
She gives you sweets and other snacks because you don't eat humans
If she thinks someone is trying to pry you away from her she will store them in her obi to slowly kill them later.
I can picture you being more mature than her🤣
Like when she throws one of her fits your just standing there like 😑
And if you were cornerd daki will pick you up with her obi and haul ass running away while gyutaro fights
Tumblr media
Gyutaro
I think he would prefer you not working with daki but let's it slide since she has her eyes on you
He will spoil you silly because he doesn't want you to have the life he and daki had.
I have a feeling he will kill any man that trys to talk to you
And if you ask him he can teach you how to fight though you most likely not use those skills because he will take care of them before you can do anything
If you want to cry or let some feelings out he's the one to go to out of two of them. I can see him holding you for till you feel better
I hope you guys enjoy this.
using a phone to write is kinda tedious

😈OMG NOOOOOOOO Daddy Muzan is just going to send all of his lackeys after Tanjiro!
😈The only way he actually found out about this was through one of his lackeys who does his usual check ins.
😈He never deals with things directly. It keeps things...cleaner in a sense. Daddy Muzan doesn't want his baby girl finding out that he's trying to kill your boyfriend.
😈But then he sees how happy you are...and he loves you so much and never wants that smile to go away, so until Tanjiro breaks your heart...he feels (with gut wrenching pain) like the best thing to do is to just leave the kid alone.
😈So he calls off his hitmen, calls off the lackeys keeping tabs on Tanjiro at home, school, or wherever else the brat goes.
😈He will, however, not stand you bringing Tanjiro over. That is in no way allowed. You can hangout with him outside of the house, under the eye of one of his lackeys as Akaza follows you two around, but that's the only leeway he's giving you kids.
😈He always has to remember every morning when he wakes up that he's not killing Tanjiro for his little girl. He recalls the light smile ghosting your lips whenever you come home from school or the movies.
😈He has to sigh and just live with it. This is how he tries not to act up even if it does eat him alive bit by bit each day.
😈However, maybe, he can use this to his advantage...I mean, Tanjiro is the son of his rival. Oh, now this is a thought that brings him a sense of peace. Maybe, he could allow Tanjiro to come over for a visit???

Chaos bitch
Warning: Reader causes chaos and tells everyone to deal with it unless they want them to continuously escape again, reader using their modern knowledge and using it to be annoying instead of a smart ass
If you can, please consider visiting my Ko-fi it's still a work in progress :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reader thought it was time for some more chaos, they had been bed-ridden for 2 days thanks to their latest escape attempt.
And maybe it's time for a new approach, channeling their inner gen-z jokes they went on war path.
Muzan found it amusing, it was better than them escaping, so why should he punish them for it?
Well that was his thought progress until he became victim of it.
"My dear lord, can you please get Reader to stop their weird slang?" A lower upper moon asked as reader was besides Muzan reading a book. "Bombastic side eye." Reader said, causing Muzan to turn in confusion. "What was that?"
"Thin air."
"What the fuck." Muzan blurted out. "Please, my lord, we can no longer understand them!"
"Would you rather have to chase me every few hours?" Reader asked, taking advantage of Muzan's confused face. The upper moons looked shocked.
"This is my payback for kidnapping me." Reader grinned. "now deal with it."
"Reader... You shouldn't annoy your aunties and uncles."
"I can do it to you too, bitch boy."

The way things were before pt.2 (platonic yandere Muzan x reader).
Tumblr media
I was inspired to write this after season 4 was released onto Netflix.
Masterlist~~read part 1 here
"Father! Father! Look." A small child grips onto their father's hand as they drag them outside their home. With a surprisingly tight grip, the father follows behind the child, a small smile adorning their face.
It was dark outside, the only light around them being the stars reflected on small pond in their garden. For a moment, he couldn't see what the child was smiling so brightly at, until small flickering of light dances around the garden.
"Look! Lantern flies!" The child points, their father watching with them. The child lets go of their father's hand, rushing towards the bugs. The father smile slowly turns into a frown as their child's warm leaves their hand.
The giggles of the child reverberate all through the garden. It was a pleasant sigh, a happy one, but nevertheless, simply a memory.
---
The bottle in Muzan's hand breaks as he snaps out of the memory. He sighs as his small palm spews blood, before quickly healing itself, like the injury was never there.
The demon lord isn't accustomed to this form compared to others. He was small, playing as a child in order to gather more information regarding the blue spider lily.
Muzan sighs, ignoring the glass on the floor and slowly walking towards the bookshelf. He takes a step onto a small ladder, pushing some books around before pulling out a much smaller, much more worn book. The more he stares at the cover, the more a mixture of rage and quilt built in his stomach.
The Bear and the rabbit
It was an old book, one he remembered reading to you nearly every night before you went to bed. When you were young, you'd beg him to tell the tale to you over and over, before your soft snores would travel all throughout your room. He remembered when a part of him thought it annoying, having to read the same story over and over. Now he misses those days.
"Sweetheart! Are you okay?" It was that woman, his mother, at least when he was in this form. He didn't get to respond as the woman rushed over to carefully pick up the shards of glass on the floor. "You have to be more careful my dear." He hated the caring tone in her voice, laced with sweetness and warmth. It caused his grip on the book to tighten, holding him back from doing much worse.
"Oh? What did you fine?" The glass was placed on a table near her, forgotten as she traveled closer to him. She peered down at the book, her face filled with confusion before warping into a small smile. "Aw-I remember when my father would read that to me." She put her hand on the book, attempting to taking it from him. "Would you like me to read it to you?"
The moment her hand was placed on the cover, Muzan's brows furrowed, and a deep scowl adorned his childlike face. Ripping the book from the woman's hold, he watched with hidden glee as she stumbled back a bit, surprised from the strength. "No." He responded with a monotoned voice. For a small second, the woman looked terrified, before carefully hiding it under a smile.
"Well then." She gave another small smile, "please, just be careful, and goodnight."
She left with a close of the door, and only then did Muzan let him guard down slightly. His scowl was gone, and he was back to staring longingly at the cover of the book. While ashamed to admit it, a part of him was nervous to open up the book, his hand shaking with an unfamiliar sense of fear as he opened up to the first page.
---
"Once Upon a time, in a far and distant forest, live a big, mean a Bear. The bear, grizzly and old, scared away all the other animal in the forest."
"Eventually, it was just him. "It's okay!" Said the bear. "I like being alone!" But that wasn't true. The bear was lonely, and often dreamt of finding a friend who wasn't scared of him."
"One day, a tiny little Rabbit, hopped their way into the forest. They were small, but their courage was big. Even after what they heard from the other animals, they weren't afraid."
""There's something terrifying in there!" "That bear will eat up something small like you!" "You'll never make it out alive!""
"But the rabbit didn't listen, and they ventured further and further into the forest until one day, they met the bear, hiding away in a cave. "What are you doing here, rabbit? Haven't you heard the stories?""
""I have, but I'm not afraid!" The Rabbit explained, surprising the bear. "I'm sure you all you need is a friend!" The Bear, lonely, took the friendship opportunity and let the rabbit stay in the forest, with him, in the cave."
"All was well, for moons and moons, the Bear and the Rabbit lived together happily, and they couldn't be more happy. That was until, the rabbit heard a rumble, a rumble only they acknowledged. For days, the rabbit ignored it, until it got louder and louder."
"Eventually, it got so loud, that the rabbit couldn't handle it, and told the Bear they wanted to leave. At that, the Bear grew angry. He growled at the Rabbit, saying that they couldn't leave. The Rabbit, afraid but determined, told the Bear that they weren't friends anymore, and turned their back on the bear. The Bear, enraged, opened up his big, mean jaw, and ate the Rabbit right up."
"At that point, the rumbling stopped."
"No animals ever saw the Rabbit, knowing that the bear was always the monster they knew him to be."
"My dear, why do you insist on me reading this to you every night?" Muzan asked as he closed the book. Today, Muzan wasn't good enough to make it to your room, so you took the book to him, laying down next to him as he read.
"Because, father, I like it." You replied in such a childish manner, confirming to Muzan that he would never fully understand you. It was unfair, he though, you, a mere child, understood him more that anyone else. You were nearly ten and you were already helping him move around, delivering medication to him, making sure he was okay. He felt eternally grateful that he found you, and forever wished to understand you and all your little quirks.
But that would have to wait, since currently, you were giggling as you took the book from him, placing it down next to you as you craw on your knees to give him a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you father, goodnight. Please feel better tomorrow, so we can play!"
"I will, goodnight to you too." He knew it was a lie, he knew tomorrow he would probably feel worse, but you didn't have to know that.

"Father! Father!" Muzan was no longer a child, but now a man, standing in a crowded street littered with bright stalls. Moments like this happened often when he thought of you. He'd sink into a place of longing and despair, only to wake up somewhere else, in another form. He learned to adapt to it if it meant that he could remember you once more.
He looked down at the girl tugging at his sleeve, a small frown decorating his face. He couldn't stand her, not that he really tried. He wouldn't dare replace you, expessially not with something as unworthy. Though, for the time being, he would put on a front, fixing his expression and smiling at the girl.
"What it it, my child?" He asked, watching as she pointed to a stall not far from them. It was pilled with books, and old looking woman being the sole vendor.
He gazed at the stall for a second longer, before looking down at the girl once more. "Would you like to take a look?" He asked, feeling nothing when she smiled and nodded. Quickly, she took his hand, which caused Muzan to shiver, and pulled him over the stall.
"Oh hello, are you looking for books for you daughter?" The old woman asked Muzan, to which he nodded. He could barely pretend to care as the girl showed him book after book, pouting a bit when he said she could only get one. He wished to be done with the whole ordeal quickly, itching to go back to work if it meant he didn't have to be here.
"Papa! Can we get this one?" It wasn't the girl this time, but someone else. He turned to look over at the sound, coming face to face with a father and his child. The child was held up tightly the father's arms, like he was afraid to let them go. The child was pointing at an old book, that when Muzan turned to examine, made him want to stop breathing.
The Bear and the Rabbit.
That stupid book, that stupid fucking book. A pit formed in his stomach when he heard the child giggle, and he swore he heard you again. This time, his head moved quickly to look over, his eyes wide and his mouth in a thin line.
It was you. He was sure of it.
He recognized your hair, you eyes, your smile, your giggle. He wasn't in a quilt filled haze, he knew what he was seeing was you. You were small again, and Muzan felt the urge to take you from that disgusting man hands and hold you. Feel your heart beat, listen to your breathing, never let you go.
He didn't stop watching at your supposed father nodded, taking out the payment at giving it to the woman. He didn't stop watching as your eyes sparkled when the book was handed to you, and he didn't stop watching at you hugged your supposed father the best you could with your small arms.
"I would be careful though sure, the book might be a little scary for children." The woman warned, which only made the man smile and ruffle your delicate hair.
"I'm not worried, they're brave." He said before thanking the woman and walking away with you in him arms, and Muzan couldn't be more envious.
"-ather! Father!" He was pulled back, from you, back to reality at hand, and he wanted to scream. "Can I get this one?" She held up a book towards him, one which he barely looked at before taking it from her, paying for it, and walking away from the stall with the girl he refused to call his child.
Muzan was filled with a fire he hadn't felt in years. He knew he needed to have you back with him again, now that he knew you were alive. He's waited long enough, he could wait a little longer if it meant he get to be with you again.
His dear child.

Summary: Your dad found you…and he clearly shows how much he loves you, not caring if others see. Typical of him but you don’t mind.

“Okay…Y’all step back. I don’t want you two to be hurt” you softly said to Tanjiro and Nezuko. The two nodded their head and walked underneath the tree. Tanjiro put Nezuko down so she could sit in the shades, out of the sun’s reach. You sighed as you finally finished the last part of the summoning. “Okay…I’m not sure if this will wo-“ before you could finish your sentence, you were tackled.
“ACK-!” You fell on the ground. You felt arms tightly hug you then someone kissing your head. You blushed in embarrassment. “DAD!” You groaned as your dad hugged you tighter. “SHUT IT! LET ME HAVE IT!” Your dad said as he went back to kissing your head. Tanjiro and Nezuko chuckled at this interaction. You were embarrassed yet it’s good to see your dad in such a long time
