Whole Sign vs Placidus

Disclaimer: this is my own personal experience with these house systems. And its kinda weirdly worded lol. My blog, my rules. Neptune = Bamboozlement. Fight me. This is a rant.

ya know, the way that I've come to reconcile Placidus and Whole Sign house systems is that I feel that Placidus is where I am psychologically but Whole Sign is just the reality of my life. I think noticed this really strongly in my Neptune placement, my Neptune is literally in the middle of nowhere in terms of aspects, it makes no major aspects to my personal planets really.

In Placidus it sits in my 10th house and I personally felt like my career was a bit of a conundrum for a very long time but in actuality I never really experienced any bamboozlement in terms of my public image and career. I think a lot of the confusion was normal(it felt enormous though)? Like just a normal amount of confusion at what I wanted to do with my life, always landed up in more venusian positions(handling people, design and artistic themes, somehow always moved to handle conflict) even when I did not want to be there(venus in the 10th conjunct mc in Whole sign, in placidus its in the 9th, like literally 1 degree away from the cusp, and i really romanticised higher education before I realized I hated structured education, but I think I will always romanticise intellectual topics and notions. My agnostic ass loves me some religious art even if I think that most religions are full of shit).

However, in Whole Sign my Neptune is in my 11th and that is genuinely the only part of my life where I experience frequent and consistent bamboozlement and it took me A VERY LONG TIME before I noticed. Like i literally only noticed it like 2 years ago. Every time I join any type of large friendship circle or any kind of network I always tend to see it through the rosiest of rose-coloured glasses and I am always left completely gutted and shocked when the truth comes out but FR, like if I'm being honest with myself, the signs were there the whole time and I often became really angry with anyone who questioned anything about these friend groups while I was in the thick of it.

Synastry Teaa🤓👀

my boyfriend and I are going on 2 years together next year so I’ve had our synastry chart for a while now. there were always some overlays that i (in my experience with our relationship) never related to fully like my Mars in his 6h and our 11h (his house) and 7h (my house) stellium. sometimes the descriptions for these overlays simply would not fit into the frame and context of our relationship but i still took it at-face value.

so the other day i was thinking about how our chart would change if i went from the Placidus system to whole sign and BAYBEEEE…

tell me why our 11h and 7h goes immediately into 12h and 8h💀 like i really feel bamboozled yall. like i thought it was just his Venus in my 8h that was the “all-consuming”-ness vibe of our relationship (and our moon synastry) but nooooo yall this boy got a whole stellium in my 8h and I have a whole stellium in his 12th.

moral of the story: check whole signs too😭

the funny thing is i knew as soon as i met him and asked for his sun sign (Virgo) he would fall in my 8th, i even made a post about it, but then i checked our synastry and was like okay i was wrong, ill just take that L… no girl you were right!

our whole signs synastry really tells the story of our whole relationship and its inception fr, always check your systems and dont be afraid explore different ones!! especially if you dont always resonate with placidus

i just found out alot of astrologers and people use whole signs!? i was shocked but read something on one of my house in whole sign that read me to a tea? has the past years learning about my chart in placadius(dont know how to spell it) been a waste? lol. mind blown. now i realize why i never felt connected to my chart. i always thought. this isnt me though.

Whole signs is one of the most used types of charts, since it is the traditional one. Many people often ask me if it is right to use this type of chart or if it is wrong, the answer is as simple as saying that you can use the one that resonates most with you.

I know many people who identify more with Placidus, Whole signs, or even both. So I recommend that you check out the chart that resonates most with you. If you do not relate to your Placidus Chart, you can use the whole signs without any problem. I don't think it was a waste of time, you simply didn't relate with it, and you can always change that by experimenting not only with the house system but also with astrology itself for example.

PLUTO IN AQUA TRANSIT IN THE HOUSES

This is a light post, it's not in-depth. I will be posting an in-depth post entailing Human design on my Patreon. You can subscribe in advance here!

Pluto means: Shock, transformation, rebirth Aquarius means: Independence, humanitarian, innovative, Stubborn.

The above are the themes I am using for this reading.

This transit(Pluto in Aquarius) is brief in 2023, but it sets the stage for what the next 20 years from January 21st 2024 hold. All the matters here are resolvable, but first they will shake foundations. 20 years is a long time to be stuck in the past. It will be from March 23rd to June 11th 2023. What you learn during that time will be very crucial as it will help you come January 21st 2024 and the proceeding two decades.

On top of all of this(below), here is a general message for every single person. If you know very well that you can never accept your child for being their own person, sit out parenting for the next Twenty years. Do not have a child, you will just hurt them and yourself. The children who will be born with Pluto in Aquarius are going to be VERY DIFFERENT and they will be very independent and once they become adults they will be very different from this current and older generations. They will be starting new patterns, they will develop their own values and have their own mind. They will not be susceptible to conditioning as such. They will advance technology and even go through hardship because of technology. They come as a generation with the shock factor, doing and accomplishing the unheard of. They will not be afraid of cutting off ANYONE who interferes with their peace.

In the 1H: You may come off to others as "better than the rest", people might see your behaviour as your "true colours". They are used to you a certain way but now you are different and they can't handle it. Especially if you are in an environment that does not respect your boundaries, there will be a lot of resistance towards you when you don't let your goalpost get moved. Standing your ground is good, finally you are doing it. However, make sure this is not just pure stubbornness or out of spite. You had Pluto in your 12H for the past two decades, do not let those hard times be for nothing. It's your time to shine!

In the 2H: Your money and resources for survival are going through changes that may not be easy for you to handle. Your money might either be running out so fast or coming in in torrents and you are unable to handle this. Take a financial literacy course and practice what your have learnt. Seek financial experts BUT MAKE SURE YOU ARE FINANCIALLY LITERATE FIRST OR ELSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY, RESOURCES AND ASSETS. Also, do what works for you. Just because everyone is doing x does not mean X will work for you. You can try x but if it does not work, be innovative because that's an Aquarian strength. Not a good time to be having surgery, especially cosmetic. Seek second opinions if your doctors recommend surgery. Leave your face ALONE!

In the 3H: Be careful with your words. It's time to practice mindfulness. You may say something that really shocks people or yourself. Do the inner work. Also be careful the lyrics you sing out because they just might manifest. The people you bring to your neighbourhood can make or break your living situation. There might be something shocking or transformative in the neighborhood. Ensure your security is up to date in your house/compound. You face eviction for being an inconsiderate neighbour such as being loud or making your living situation akin to a night club. In Kenya the credit score talks are up. Eviction affects your credit score. Debt affects your credit score and people with debt may not be able to qualify for housing approval.

In the 4H: What's your relationship with your mother like? What's your relationship as a mother like? Who was the mother in the relationship?(were you your own mother?) Separation from home or child is probable. Finding out about a long lost family member or secret, losing family heirlooms. Discovering family secrets. Paternity and maternity tests. Take care of your mental health, cognitive dissonance is in the air and so are nervous/mental breakdowns. If moving away from "family" or home helps, go for it. You deserve peace.

In the 5H: Stop, that's the message. You are now overdoing it. The party is over. Stop. Stop or I'll Stop you. This is your heart speaking, the organ that pumps blood. Stop or I'll stop. This is your loved ones also speaking. Stop or we stop. Unfortunately, many of you won't stop. Don't be part of the many.

In the 6H: Saying goodbye to pets. Feeling in your gut when something, somewhere or someone is not right. Healing traumas because they keep bubbling up. Trauma is stored in the core-stomach. It's time to seek holistic health practices. Seeking holistic health practices does not mean ignore modern day medicine! Change your diet to more friendly foods. See how your body responds to different foods. If it gives you a tummy ache,stop it. If you are 30 and over, this is ESPECIALLY important! The environment you eat your food in also affects your digestion. How do you feel eating in silent restaurants with ambient music? How do you feel eating in restaurants near the sea? How do you feel eating by a window? How do you feel eating in restaurants in sky scrappers or on the top floor of buildings? How do you feel in certain places? How do you feel around certain people? An adult coloring book with at least thirty coloring pages will help you. If you can't afford that, you can always download free to print coloring pages online and color them. Learn about different colours of food and how having certain colors in your plate helps. Heal so that nobody has to heal from you.

In the 7H: Disruption in relationships and contracts. Learning about yourself and making compromises in relationships (not just romantic, also family, platonic, friendships, workplace, business etc)that are unlike you. Ask yourself, is this sacrifice worth 20 years of my life? Look to your 1H to remember who you are. Look to the sacrifices the people who came before you(parents, grandparents,elder siblings, ancestors,older relatives, your friends etc)made, was it worth it?You learn from the past and decide what to do.

In the 8H: Your taxes! Your credit score! Debt! Anything that does not belong to you will be your source of destruction if you are not responsible while handling other people's matters. Do not chew more than you can swallow! You will choke! Your sexual partners may be Delilah. If you are a sexual offender, you are getting caught. Spiritual psychosis, believing you are separate from the rest and better (a supreme being-sins of our mother explains it best). Start working on your will and any end of life plans. It's important you do this so that your property never falls in the wrong hands. This is not because you will pass on soon, this is a personal activity that helps you see people for who they really are. As you make such preparations, you start seeing things clearly. You get to know who is for you and who is not. You don't need to let people know you are working on your will or end of life arrangements. It also gives you peace knowing you are in control of your end of life and there won't be any conflicts.

In the 9H: What shocking thing have you discovered? Will you share it or leave people in the dark? Take care of your thighs, do not stray far from the collective otherwise you will get into quicksand and nobody will know. It's good to look up from your books and see + experience what's going on around you. Do you want to travel? And why is it space that you dream of travelling to. Remember Icarus? Do not let your desire turn to greed. Running away will never fix anything. In my post It's my year, I said this:

"Trials and tribulations are part of life, they happen. But just because they are part of life does not mean you have to swim miles and miles in them. Sometimes the trials and tribulations are just a distraction from the good things. Sometimes, they are what we need to face and accept for them to get out of our way because you can't stand in the tracks of a speeding train and expect it not to hit you."

In the 10H: Your career will be your success or make you start from zero. The world is changing, times are changing. Just like the age when computers were introduced but people refused to learn how to use computers because "computers will replace them", the same thing is happening now. If you do not learn out of fear of being replaced, the people who learnt will replace you. Make hay while the sun still shines. Whatever you choose will become an unbreakable bond. This particular transit has an unbreakable seal, there's no coming back from the choice you make.

In the 11H: Show me your friends and I'll show you your future. Your network will be the ones who either stand by you or against you. This year we have heard so many cases of friends transmuting their jealousy into acts of wickedness. It gets worse, so choose your circle wisely. Your 11H is your community and you do not want to be where there are attacks from neighbouring communities. Neither do you want to be sleeping with the enemy.

In the 12H: This transit will be hard especially for young people(from age 19) and the very old. You realise that you have been living a lie. It feels like everyday is a new day on the battlefield. My Guess on Chart System Purposes

🏵 Whole Signs:

How I see myself. How I want to be seen. My ending and outcome. I heard that Whole Signs maybe better to use for predictions and after the age of 30. I believe it's because at 30, we start to show our true self to the world clearly and confidently. This is our true self we had been finding and discovering 30 years earlier. After 30 years, you know what path makes you shine the most and feel the best.

🏵 Placidus:

How everyone actually sees me. How I actually come across, sometimes even without my control (external conditions like genetics and environments). My strategy I've learned and developed in childhood. My everyday behaviors. My storyline and process. Because of the involvement of external conditions, Placidus maybe better to use before the age of 30. It's a combination of how you see yourself and how everyone sees you. It gives me Neptunian vibe as you still rely on the external validations to view yourself. After 30 years, you are much less controlled by the external conditions, so Placidus affects how people view you less. In another way, Placidus is a realistic tool to achieve Whole Signs. You learn and master Placidus to achieve Whole Signs.

🏵 I will use some placements of my chart as an example. I have Neptune and Uranus in the 1st house in Placidus and Neptune in the 1st house in Whole Signs. Well, I can't control my appearance other than plastic surgeries. No matter how I feel, Neptune makes me look innocent and vulnerable in people's eyes. I still relate to Uranus in the 1st house I guess since Uranus also trine my Sun and Mercury and I'm a Uranus dominant.

🏵 I have Sun and Mercury in the 9th house in Placidus and Sun and Mercury in the 10th house in Whole Signs. I relate to the positions of Sun and Mercury in the 10th house in Whole Signs more. To be honest, I also have Sun Conjunction Midheaven, so it also explains how I feel. Now Sun and Mercury in the 9th house is how I come across, at least before the age of 30. I am philosophical, open-minded, and big picture. I think it's due to the realistic condition I was born into. I was born with Saturn in the 4th house. This position urges me to explore the world besides my own country. I've developed my own belief systems rather than what everyone told me. I come across this way in people's eyes without my control. But who I actually want to be seen or achieve no matter how I was born into is as an authoritative figure, hence Sun in the 10th house.

🏵 With Moon in the 10th house in Placidus, I come across as feminine and gentle in people's eyes without my control (due to my look and behaviors). It's my strategy to handle social contacts. But deep down, I want to be seen as the Sun in the 10th house. Eventually, people will realize behind my friendly behaviors is a masculine, ambitious, and confident person.

Placidus vs Whole Sign Chart ?

Honestly, choose the one you reasonate the most with, first thing you have to do is to analyze your both charts together, one placidus and one whole sign chart and then analyze which one fits you more

I have moments when I hate my whole sign chart and prefer my placidus chart and vice versa, what is important more is to know which one fits you more

*Now I see people who relate more with their Placidus chart then their whole chart which is perfectly normal*

For example if you have Venus in your 7th house in placidus try to read about it to see if it reasonate with you, while if you have Venus in the 8th house in the whole sign chart try to do the same thing, read about it and see which chart fits you more

*One thing about Placidus chart is that there can be intercepted houses and the signs can be placed differently for example if you have an Scorpio Rising intercepted you may have Capricorn in the 2nd house instead of Sagittarius etc... While the whole sign chart will show all houses equally* 🥰🌸

whole sign house system vs placidus

the difference between whole sign house system and placidus is that one of them is time based, the other simply organizes your houses from 0-30 degrees apart, so in the 1H, the ascendant would be marked at the degree within the 1H sign. this evenly distributes the areas of life and lets you apply the triplicities and quadruplicities within the chart, and when analyzing aspects. whole sign is for deeper analyzation and understanding of yourself. personally, i stopped using placidus about 2 years ago, and whole signs did shift my house placements by one but i honestly prefer it that way, because placidus would skip over signs, or overextend a house, the overlapping is just so unnecessary and with whole signs, there is no confusion. the mc is still marked as its own degree, as the ic, asc, and desc. if u have empty houses and they overlap one another, try whole signs and see how it plays out.

Simplest Guide to the House Domains

Disclaimer and further information in blog bio and masterlist.

To understand the houses, you have to understand how the system works - same as with the signs.

✶ We can breakdown houses the same way we can breakdown the signs into elements, modalities, and rounds, but also by rulers and even through the Hero's Journey.

Start with understanding the houses through elements.

✶ The fire houses are the 1st, 5th, and 9th, which rule what we do and to what ends. Their keyword is Actions. Here action refers to behavior, mannerisms, and other ways with which we are identified and our lives are performed. This is the native as a Subject.

✶ Earth houses (2nd, 6th, 10th) rule what we interact with. Interaction refers to ways in which we handle things which exist separate to us in a way that still represents us. An Object is introduced for our Subject to act upon.

✶ Air houses (3rd, 7th, 11th) rule what we connect with.

Connection refers to bonds, relationships, and the ways in which we maintain or forge either. The Subject can now engage with Other Subjects.

✶ Water houses (4th, 8th, 12th) rule how we interconnect and to what end. Interconnection refers to what underlies bonds and connections, the meaning of them. Subject and Other Subjects act upon an Object in tandem or separately.

We can sort these elements into rounds of four. I've defined them with base terms below. These terms refer to both proximity to subject and the subject's relationship to the domain in question.

✶ The first round of elements is initial and instinctive. Here, initial and instinctive refers to how everything in these domains are rooted in the native themself and the immediate circumstances they were born into.

✶ The second round is developed and chosen. Developed and chosen refers to how everything in these domains are rooted in the environment the native encounters and the circumstances they craft therein.

✶ The third is greater and aspirational. Greater and aspirational refers to how everything in these domains are rooted in the universal circumstances of the collective and how the native engages with this.

✶ How do these principles apply specifically to each house?

The first house rules initial, instinctive actions. This includes our impulses, the first impressions we give off, and our bodies.

The second house rules initial, instinctive interactions. This includes our household, our belongings, and our priorities.

The third house rules initial, instinctive connections. This includes our siblings, our surface communications, and our speech patterns.

The fourth house rules initial, instinctive interconnections. This includes our family, home, the culture we are raised in, our past.

The fifth house rules developed, chosen actions. This includes our preferences, our hobbies, our pursuits, our passions.

The sixth house rules developed, chosen interactions. This includes the habits we form, the routines we keep, and the efforts we make.

The seventh house rules developed, chosen connections. This includes partners of all sorts, and valued one on one relationships.
