You know I feel like the placement of Beast Yeast and Odyssey is kind of confusing for newer players, especially if they don’t really interact with the fandom and know when the stories are supposed to take place

Odyssey’s not as bad, but you unlock it after finishing Episode 12, when it only happens after Episode 14, after the Dark Cacao storyline. It’s probably not the worst thing, but if you decide to start it after Episode 12, I feel like it could be confusing as to why Dark Cacao’s there at the least, since you haven’t met him or you’ve only barely seen him if you’ve started Episode 13

But as for Beast Yeast, you unlock it after finishing Episode 8, despite it taking place after both Odyssey and probably more importantly, Episode 18. Heck, you unlock it right before the Pure Vanilla story. So I mean starting off, you might not even understand why Pure Vanilla’s there. As I recall, you don’t really know what happened to Pure Vanilla by that point and that he’s still around, we were still led to believe he’s dead, right? And then you don’t really have the full context as to why they’re in Beast Yeast, since we only get the reason at the end of Episode 18, or who the Crème Republic is that gave them the airship, and if the other Ancients are referenced later on, what the heck they’re doing there. I mean okay, it might not be incomprehensible, players can probably understand that these are story events they just haven’t seen yet, but why place unlocking it so far behind the rest of the story? Because those new players don’t have context for over half the story by this point

Yeah it’s not as confusing for us already having played the game and being there when the story updates come out, but what about newer players who don’t have that context and maybe don’t interact with the fandom that much to know what’s going on?

#this is just something I think about #the order of the story is confusing #because you have to play World Exploration 1 to 14 #but not Odyssey yet bc it’s after 14 and definitely not Beast Yeast despite probably unlocking it a while ago #then you have to play the Special Episode Cookie Odyssey all the way to Chapter 3 #then go back and play the other four Episodes #but sometime in between 14 and 18 you have to also play the Red Dragon Special Episode #since Pitaya shows up at the end of 18 #then finally you have to go back and start Beast Yeast after finishing 18 #like if you want to experience the story as it canonically happens it’s confusing #not the worst thing ever but still confusing #anyways #cookie run #cookie run kingdom #world exploration #random stuff

Hugging Headcanons. || Ft: The Red Dragon Crew.

A/n: This has been in my drafts since uhh... July? Whoops. I scrolled down and saw that it was like. 95% complete and decided that I should finish it. Anyways, enjoy!

Hollyberry Cookie

She's the sort to hug without warning, as tightly as possible, and for as long as possible. No, you cannot escape until she sets you free. No, she is not fully conscious of her own strength. Wildberry Cookie has probably had to intervene to set you free at least once or twice before.

Despite her high status as both a queen and an Ancient, she does not stress formality hardly at all. Regardless of who you are, she will choose a hug over a handshake or formal greeting any day.

If you let her, she will pick you up. It does not matter if you are bigger than her. She will try, and unless you're for some reason slippery, she will succeed.

Yk that one scene with Dark Cacao where she kind of had him in a headlock? She probably does the same to others on occasion, just when she's feeling goofy, or if they're standoffish like DC is.

Pitaya Dragon Cookie

"Issss thisss some kind of trick, cookie?" - Bestie doesn't really recognize a gesture like that. They weren't exactly known to be the most peaceful before banding with Hollyberry Cookie, and thus didn't experience regular social things like a hug. How sad.

They would probably try to fight you if you hugged without warning. Trapping their arms like that? Bad idea. The great Greenish-Red Dragon can win any battle, regardless of disadvantages!

Oh, turns out Pitaya likes hugs quite a bit, once they get used to it. Have fun in the dirt, because they lean on you a little too much, unaware (or uncaring) that you can't quite support all their weight. Oh well, they don't care if they get dirty. If you really like laying in the dirt for some reason, try petting their hair while you're at it. Be warned, you will be staying there for quite a while.

Tail wags. You can hear the thumping of their spiky tail hitting any nearby objects while they hold you close. They really hold onto you too. Not quite as tightly as Hollyberry, but you won't be going anywhere.

Royal Margarine Cookie

Haaave fun boosting his ego. Because that's exactly what hugging him will do. The fangirls envy you, they didn't get a chance to hug him! No fair!

Buttercream might also rest her head on your shoulder sometimes, since she's decided that she likes you. Occasionally she accidentally knocks you over since she doesn't know her own strength. (And tbh a dragon is heavy.)

There was one time after fighting the red dragon that he just sorta. Aggressively hugged you (in private of course.) He hadn't seen you since before Dragon City was set aflame, and he was worried for your well being. Please hug him tightly back. He might cry.

I dunno, I feel like he pets your hair too. His arms probably rest across your shoulders and he just can't help but want to pet you for some reason.

Tarte Tatin Cookie

No, she will not set the cannon down. You get side-hugged, fool. Congratulations.

She's used to doing that sort of picturesque side-hug thing since she doesn't like to not have her cannon in her hands at any point in time, and since it's the most convenient when someone wants to take a photo with her.

It takes a very special person and a very special occasion to get her to put it down for once (like when the magma dragon was slain). It is at that point that she will give you a proper hug.

Rests her chin on your head, arms are folded across your shoulders. You can tell how tired she is after hunting dragons all day just from her tired sigh and the way she sort of tiredly leans against you.

Snapdragon Cookie

You do not hug the baby. The baby hugs you. Or at least they try.

They will fly full speed at you and then you have to catch them, or be tackle-hugged to the floor. If you don't stop them in time, they will happily tumble to the floor with you, squealing all the while.

Their arms are a little too short to wrap all the way around your torso, but they can hug your neck just fine.

Honestly, their aggressive hugging behavior gets directed at anyone. Pitaya Dragon Cookie finds it hilarious when they tackle cookies to the ground for the sake of a hug. Stop encouraging them.

Pitaya Dragon x reader

Romantic

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ They purr. It’s canon. They purred. Yes, the dragons are all just giant cats in disguise. Rub behind the little strands of their hair on the sides of their face, behind their ears, on the curve of their back, or under their jaw and they will be a mess of purrs.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Of all the dragons, Pitaya is the most vocal and willing to show their affection and/or accept yours. They like to commonly head but you or push against you. They do so lightly, but with them being a dragon and their ‘lightly’ being not-so-light in cookie terms, this can result in you falling over if you’re not paying attention, or if they bump you too roughly. They tend to bump you against you neck and shoulders, but they’ve done so to your side, back, and stomach before.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ They hATE water. Being a dragon based on fire and all, water is the Pitaya Dragon’s natural enemy. They enjoy it in little amounts, like drinking a bottle of water or combing water through their hair, but they do NOT like baths or going to the ocean or any type of river. Just bodies of water big enough to encapsulate them almost whole. They will accept taking hot showers, though. The bathroom is practically a sauna once they’re finished with it.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Affections aside from head butting you like the absolute cat they are also include taking you for piggyback rides in either of their forms. If it’s on the ground they’ll mostly sticking to their reserved form, but if they want to fly with you on their back or terrify the locals, they’ll swap to their dragon form. If you ever do fall off of them, they are quick to catch you. If they were close to the ground when you fell and they could catch you, expect them to whole Maleficent-dive under you and catch you with their entire body. They’ll be a little sore from hitting the ground harshly, but their scales are almost as hard as their head. They’re mostly worried about if you’re alright.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ If you wanted to have some sort of saddle or rope or handle for you to hang onto during flights with them in their dragon form, they wouldn’t be against it. So long as it’s removable and doesn’t hinder their flying ability and keeps you safe, then go ahead. Sometimes they might fly with you in their talons (they have beans. Giant dragon beans. Squish the giant beans) if you don’t feel like being on the back or just need a quick transportation, as well.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Their scales are VERY warm. This makes for very good cuddles whenever it’s cold. You don’t even need a blanket by his point- their wings are wide enough to cover whatever part of you isn’t already by their clinginess during snuggle time.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ They love getting into random fights with just about anything. Dragons, people, dogs, cats, furniture. You name it, they probably have a story about sparring with it. Mr. Sprinkles has learned not to come anywhere near Pitaya.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ This dragon is a big tease as well! They’ll tease you on small things you like and do, all in good fun. They can get a little overboard, but their teasing usually ends in either a good laugh or a small head but from them, to show they are just being a little nuisance to you and they don’t mean anything they say.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ The furniture is not safe around them. Either by accident or on purpose, you go through a couch every month and a bed every two. Someone please save the furniture, they don’t deserve this.

Pitaya Dragon Cookie x MH! Reader

(Part 1) (Part 2)

Continuation of Pitaya Dragon Cookie x MH! Reader. I forgot to mention, the reader is female.

You and Pitaya Dragon cookie became close friends!

You didn't mind the dragon coming to you for a battle, to you it will hone your skills since the dragon always comes up with new battle tactics in order to defeat you.

Sometimes you win, sometimes they win and sometimes it ends up in a draw.

"You've become sssstronger but don't think I won't too, my little hunter~" Pitaya Dragon purred with a smirk on their lips.

'My little hunter' is a nickname that they have given to you.

You've set up your camp close to Pitaya Dragon's lair, so it would be easier for you to study the dragon whenever you want.

Pitaya Dragon would always come by to grab the food that you had cooked and would always hoard the entire table for themselves. Much to your dislikes.

You didn't let the dragon eat all the food and both of you would wrestle each others for a piece of jelly meat.

"It'ssss mine! Get one yourssself!" hissed the dragon as you push their face away. "Hah! As if! I hunt the boars and the meats are mine!" you barked, shoving the jelly meat into your mouth.

There are times they would crash into your tent and steal your bed, saying that it's theirs now.

You would end up sleeping in a sleeping bag or a hammock, but not everything is safe from the dragon's clutches.

Whatever you own, it is theirs too.

It pisses you off at first but you get used to it eventually.

Also both of you would take turns hunting, each time Pitaya Dragon hunts they would bring back a mouthful of animals or fish. But sometimes, you need to get them in control when it comes to hunting.....

"Look what I've brought back!" they said proudly with a mouthful of sheep.

"Pitaya Dragon Cookie! Put the sheep back where you found them!" you shrieked at the sight of a five sheep and a shepherd dog in their mouth, obviously they took them from the nearby field. "Why?! They're foood! Don't tell me what to do! I am the great red dragon! I eat whatever I ssseee asss food!" Pitaya Dragon argues back.

Pitaya Dragon would do all kinds of shenanigans to pull on your strings and surprisingly you manage to keep them in check.

Then one day....

"Pitaya Dragon Cookie! Come out here now!" a voice boomed, two cookies comes out from the bushes. A pink cookie wields a heart shaped shield while the other has a silver gauntlet.

Pitaya Dragon then smirked widely. Dropping all the sheep on the ground, you caught the five sheep and the dog in your arms. "Oof—Pitaya! Careful!" you yelled at the dragon only for the dragon to walk over you and ignoring your call.

"Your highness, look! Not only did they steal the sheep but also a maiden!" shouted the cookie with the silver gauntlet.

"Hollyberry cookie~ Are you here for a fight?" grins Pitaya Dragon, Hollyberry Cookie? The Queen of the Hollyberry kingdom? Pitaya Dragon told you about her and they have been battling each other for ages.

"Give back the sheep you have stolen, Pitaya Dragon cookie!" shouted Hollyberry, "Not only that, but you also kidnapped a maiden!" she glares. "Well, actually your highness! I'm—hey!" before you are able to finish, Pitaya Dragon sets their tail down blocking you from sight.

"If you want the sssheep back, you have to fight me!" said Pitaya Dragon cookie, "I've been itching to fight you again, Hollyberry Cookie!" Pitaya Dragon let out a roar, causing you to back away slightly. The sheep and the dog jump out from your arms and flee into the bushes in fear.

You watch in awe as the two change blows, Hollyberry cookie uses her shield to block the fiery flames of Pitaya Dragon before bashing her shield against their snout. You were too focused watching the fight and you felt someone tapping your shoulder, it was the cookie with silver gauntlet.

"Miss, please. Come with me" he said, "Huh?" before you could say anything. The cookie lifts you up in bridle style and sprint, "H-hey! Who are you?!" you said. "I'm Wildberry Cookie, don't worry. You are safe from the lizard's clutches" he said with a smile on his face.

"Save me....?" you blink as you shake your head, "A-ah, I know you're being such a gentleman but I am not in danger" you said, the cookie raises an eyebrow at your statement. "Pardon? What do you mean?" he was confused.

"Well....." you explain to him that you're a hunter that's doing research on Pitaya Dragon. Wildberry eyebrows twitch, "That lizard is vile, you cannot trust them" he warned. "Huh? Pitaya Dragon isn't vile, they can be prideful and mean sometimes..." you mumbled before turning to Wildberry Cookie. "—but they're actually really nice when you get to know them more!" you smiled.

Wildberry Cookie couldn't help but look at you in a weird way, nevertheless he let out a sigh. "I find your words to be genuine" he said.

BOOM!

Both of your attention turn back to the battle, it seems Hollyberry cookie is winning as she bashes her shield against Pitaya Dragon who is now in their cookie form. "Take that!" she yelled, Pitaya Dragon blocks the shield with their sword but the sword gets deflected from their hands and lands on the ground.

"Harghh!!!" Pitaya Dragon let out a growl. "Are you done now, Pitaya Dragon?" questioned Hollyberry Cookie as Pitaya Dragon bursts out laughing, "Hahahahahaha! Do not think I don't have tricks under my wings, Hollyberry Cookie!" they said as they flap their wings, sending burning sparks in the air.

"Oh shit..." you said.

"What are they doing?!" Wildberry glares at the dragon cookie "Queen Mother, be careful!". You quickly get on your feet, "Pitaya Dragon, don't!" you screamed at the dragon. "Miss!" Wildberry yelled out. Pitaya Dragon's wings erupt in a greenish red flame.

"Take a load of thisss!" they shouted, eyes glowing dangerously and before they could unleash their newest attack.

A bright light flashes before their eyes, blinding them. "Gargh! My eyesssss!!" Pitaya Dragon closes their eyes and falls on the ground. "Haargh!" Pitaya Dragon growls once they recover from the sudden flash of light blinding their eyes. "Did you jussst interrupt my battle!" Pitaya Dragon glares in your direction as they stand up to tower over you, "I'm not letting you set the entire forest on fucking fire!" you glare back at them. "Thissss isss my territory! I can do whatever I want with it!" Pitaya Dragon hisses, "Burn the forest, I won't cook for you for an entire month!" you said and Pitaya Dragon was taken back, their tail swishes in annoyance as they look away. "Grrr....fine!" they said.

Hollyberry and Wildberry stand at the side, both were shocked to see a cookie threaten a dragon. "Ahem..." Wildberry lets out a cough to catch both of your attention. "Pitaya Dragon Cookie, may we know who this is?" Hollyberry asked the dragon. "Well, Hollyberians! Thisss isss (C/n) Cookie!" Pitaya Dragon introduces you to Hollyberry and Wildberry. "and thessee Hollyberianss namess are Hollyberry Cookie, a friend rival of mines and her grumpy bodyguard, Wildberry Cookie!" they said as Wildberry sends a glare at the dragon.

You blink and smile sheepishly, "H-Hi!" you said. "Nice to meet you, your highness! a-and Wildberry Cookie!" you said as you bow, Hollyberry bursts out laughing. "Ahahaha! Just call me Hollyberry Cookie! A friend of Pitaya Dragon is also a friend of mine!" she said with a large smile on her face. "Nice to meet you, (C/n) Cookie!" she said as Wildberry gives you a gentle smile, he walks up to you and takes your hand in his and kisses it, like a gentleman.

"It's a pleasure meeting you, (C/n) Cookie" he said. You let out a giggle and blushes slightly, "Nice to meet you too, Wildberry Cookie!" you said. Pitaya Dragon stares at the two of you interact and for some reason, the dragon doesn't like this at all.

They couldn't help but let out a low growl escapes from their lips.

Fuchsia dye and associated items!

Fuchsia Flowers can be found hanging from the underside of oak trees rarely in forests or commonly in Flower Forests. They sometimes bear fruit which you can pick from them!

Dragon Fruit, or pitayas, are found growing on cactus bushes in the desert. They bloom much like berry bushes, and can be planted in sand or dirt by placing a full dragon fruit item on the ground.

The dragon fruit can be sliced in two, to which you can remove the inner flesh inside to make either a Glowdragon Smoothie (dragonfruit flesh + glowberries) or combined with the new Fuchsia flower berries to make Weirdberry Medley (glowberries, dragonfruit flesh, sweet berries and fuchsia berries). The remaining dragonfruit husk can be further processed down into fuchsia dye.

Finally, spawning on the smaller islands in the End, we have Tendrils. These tendrils are a sort of purple variant of grass that may sometimes move to snatch prey in the air. Upon being broken you can get tendril items, which can be turned into fuchsia dye. Rarely upon breaking these tendril plants, Endermite Eggs can drop - when combined with dragonfruit and chorus fruit, it creates an Endermite infested form of dragonfruit that essentially acts as a throwable Endermite spawn egg. Holding Endermite Eggs will also anger any Enderman in a nearby radius, regardless if you looked at them.

He will not be embarrassed to remove his coat, covering the very obvious puddle, and assisting you to walk over it, all the while looking at you with such love, one that you could only ever see in romance movies, and could only ever be described in poetic novels

- before becoming his partner though, you need to be approved by buttercream first ! He feels that it is dictation that it's not only him who has trust and love for you. If you want to be his, make sure to give as much love to his beloved dragon ( wyvern ) as you do for him ( he won't admit the fact he gets quite jealous of her sometimes .. )

- he most definitely enjoys a partner that can beat him up if they wanted to, but also a cookie that's sweet, who's willing to embrace his affections ! If you travel with him on the way to dragon's valley, buttercream can sense the sickeningly lovestruck heart eyes he gives your way as you fight, supporting you from above.

- " hahahah !! that's my lover right there ! go mayhem on them sweetie ! ~ " he has most likely bragged about you during the travel too ( you don't know if he loves you too much or he wants to embarass you, you appreciate it nonetheless )

- tries to fight aswell to impress you too, but he's quite embarrassed of his low hunting score in comparison to the others ( you and tarte tatin cookie have a tied score together ! )

- although, he does not mind a partner that relies on him aswell ! in fact, it gives him a very massive ego boost. Of course he wouldn't mind in becoming your knight in shining armor ! Saving his significant other from any form of danger ! ( even if, in most cases, they aren't really harmful )

- " do not worry darling ! THE dragon rider has arrived to rescue you ! " and it's simply trivial things such as taking you away in unpleasant conversations, carrying you bridal style. He will be quite amused to see your embarassed face

- on a more serious side, whether you can fend for yourself or not, he is willing to sacrifice limb and body just for you to be alive, breathing, safe, who is still there with him. You had promised him you would stay until his very last crumb, he isn't willing to give up on that so easily.

- and as his partner, soaring through the sky or even going on lovely walks with buttercream is an everyday date ! ( he is a firm believer that a day is incomplete without a small date with you ! ), most of the time visiting the bar for a drink or two afterwards ( typically more than just two anyways .. ). Be sure to prepare yourself to bring him home, as he's too busy being a flirt with you than to think about resting up !

- alongside this, it's typically difficult to achieve privacy when he has a swarm of fans behind his tail, he tries his very best to make it up to you at the end of the day ~

- he is very understanding if your jealousy sparks up because of his behavior ( he can't imagine seeing you acting the same as him to any other cookie either ! ) and constantly tells cookies that he is most definitely taken by the loveliest cookie on earthbread !

- some of which are either not that much of a fan with him or isn't even a part of dragon city ( hollyberry, wildberry and pitaya dragon cookie ), which leads to more than just the citizens being aware of your relationship due to how obvious he is about it

- everyone can see how hopelessly in love royal margarine cookie is with you. The second longer glances he gives your way and the oh-so enchanting eyes of his that stares at you with such love and affection ! All his fans simply dream of being you !

- behind all of this though, he definitely has a softer side indoors ! He is reduced to nothing but a smitten man, clingy for his lover. Please give him hugs and kisses ! He feels himself falling harder for you every time you praise him

- the cookie feels as if you're too out of his league, and dreads the thought of you finding out his true identity, the actual weak and cowardice royal margarine cookie. Would you leave him if you had found out ? He would leave himself too

- now with royal margarine, he's insistent of you opening up to him, whether that be negative or positive. He thinks that it is a strengthening bond to open up and learn more about eachother !

- but because of his inner thoughts, he isn't as willing to open up about his feelings, maybe never opening up at all. The only way he'll ever open up to you is when he's drunk (which makes him feel lower most of the time), he feels like a weak cookie if he ever tries opening up while sober. He dislikes being a weak and simple cookie than his persona tells him to be

- he feels like a failure for not pursuing what he truly wants, and to be reminded of that as he opens up never makes him feel any lighter. Do not be insistent with it ( he will avoid such topics in every possible way ), give him some time to be more trusting of you. Sooner or later, you won't need alcohol just for this man to open up ( will only open up around 1/4 of how he feels but to him its a big step ! )

- he cannot avoid the feeling of being judged, to be completely seen of who he truly is. To even think about finally trusting you with who the true royal margarine cookie is like without getting wasted is a big enough step for him, for you to figure out that the royal margarine isn't as royal as he seems.

- He feels as if he takes any more than one step then he will truly break, he never wants to reach that point, especially if you are there to witness it all, the littlest thought of it makes him shiver from humiliation. He needs to seek out buttercream for some form of comfort, he wouldn't know what he'd do if you ever found out

- you do find out though, just not in the circumstances he wants..

- nonetheless, coward or confident, you continued to love and adore the cookie you chose to be with, and royal margarine cookie feels happier than succeeding his goal in becoming a true dragon rider. The cookie did not care if he could never pursue his goal, you and buttercream can never replace, nor can it ever compare the happiness that you both give him !

I have been meaning to ask about how did y/n cookie met the dragons and how they gained their favoritism? (sorry if this makes you uncomfortable)

The Deal with Dragons

Apologies in advance, I may have strayed off in some parts!

The overall deal is that Y/N Cookie has this natural charisma about them that makes cookies warm up to them at a faster rate then the others. This is combined by what you do towards the dragons. I am going off with the event stories as a basis.

Pitaya Dragon Cookie

Y/N Cookie was alongside Mala Sauce and the others when they came to see Pitaya, they participated in the fight against the red dragon. They were quite amused to see you defend the others along with Milk, they found your determination to protect admirable. When you all took your leave, they made a quick request in return for the favor with their scale, that you should return sometime to spar again.

You agreed with Mala and the others wary about it, but you reassured them it was alright, you’ll be ok. From there, you’d come to see Pitaya as promised and spar with them. That one visit would to multiple ones, to the point where they would be daily visits! They’ve grown attached to you by this point and probably won’t be letting you go now.

Ananas Dragon Cookie

Trying to warn Dino and Milk that perhaps digging into the mountain to get the dragon’s attention may not be the best idea. Wouldn’t you know it, next thing you knew, a rather angry dragon descended upon all of you, whisking you away to their lair. The others were imprisoned, you were spared their fate by instead being a servant to the now named Ananas Dragon Cookie, considered more appealing looking then the others. You took note of their rather high and mighty attitude, it was justified, they’re still a dragon after all.

They knew they made the right call making you their servant when you dove in to protect Pineapplemur alongside Mango, with Milk managing to save you all with his shield. However your position would not last, as you wanted to go along with the others to find the other dragons. Ananas tried a number of times to get you to stay, but would ultimately, reluctantly, let you go. On the promise that you would return to them when your business was done with the others, it pained them to not have you be their side.

Lotus Dragon Cookie

I love Bellflower so much ahhh

This time, it’s a matter of not seeing you

Lotus would be made aware of your presence ahead of time, long before you’ll even arrive at the palace. They’re most intrigued by this new arrival among the others that they’ll request Hydrangea to keep a lookout for you, she’ll know the one when she sees them. Lotus has been made aware of your existence, and their wish is to see you. They wanted to hear what your wish was…

Disappointed that the Mala gang haven’t brought you to them, Hydrangea could sense the slight irritation in the blue dragon’s voice, and to be honest, she shared that sentiment, but it quickly passed. No matter, they could wait, it would make the fated encounter between the two of you all the more memorable. Bellflower and Ginseng sensed it too, and decided that for your safety, it was for the best that you don’t visit the palace.

So close, yet so far. Hydrangea could now hear the blue dragon silently growl as the opportunity to meet you in the dough has evaded them once again. Their mandolin playing coming to an end with a sour note as they stared out the palace window. For once, the dragon themself wishes that they could see you face to face, to hold you, to cherish you. Your presence here is torture to them if they couldn’t meet in you person. Hydrangea had also grown curious of you with the way their great one ponders about you constantly, she wants to see for herself exactly who were you..

It comes to a boiling point when the cookies, with Brave’s gang in tow, return to the palace, the Lotus Dragon losing more of their patience when they once again didn’t see you amongst the group. Bellflower had you hold up outside in the event of something going wrong, she refused to put you in harm’s way! Though this proved to only irritate Lotus. The one time THEY wished for something themselves, it’s not getting granted. Lotus, throughout the encounter, would constantly ask where were you, where was this cookie they’ve sensed since the beginning? Just bring this cookie to them and they’ll give the answers the group seeks.

Bellflower and the others would refuse to hand you over and the dragon ends up not getting to see you as they feel your presence leave the island. They’re pissed to say the least, teeth bared sharp in a scowl and their eyes glowing. Hydrangea would follow their sentiment once more, how hard was it to get a cookie to see the palace, why haven’t they made a wish? Whatever desires they had, could’ve been fulfilled here. For once, Lotus looks upon the sky and wished for the day they could face you, to see you with their own eyes, to show you their warm embrace…

Lychee Dragon Cookie

You ran ashore along with the Brave gang where you encountered the Rambutan Tribe and Mangosteen Cookie. Mangosteen Cookie would relentlessly ask you to spend time with them, you didn’t want to hurt their feelings, but you always felt a chill down your spine when you saw that split second look of impatience on their face when you reject them. Mangosteen’s “charm” didn’t seem to have much effect on you, just perfect. The one cookie they actually want to spend time with, they’re immune to Mangosteen’s capabilities.

Why wasn’t their charm working?! You’ll come with them, won’t you? YOU’LL ADORE THEM LIKE THE OTHERS WON’T YOU?!

Lychee gave the group the false hope that if they handed you over, they could walk out of that cave in one piece. You refused the offer before the others could, you despised the way they use their powers to manipulate these cookies and being harm to many others. To hear these words from you, Lychee actually felt..a little heartbroken. No..they didn’t understand…

You were just a cookie, yet you were doing THIS to them! Why wasn’t their sweet words working….why weren’t you giving them the affection they wanted…why…why were you siding with THEM?

You were pretty much the only cookie they missed when the dust settled. They could only look downwards at the ground as they replayed memories as Mangosteen Cookie in their head, as you smiled at them, as you gave them words of support, patted their head. They didn’t want to admit it..but a part of them is saddened they’ll never get that ever again..

Longan Dragon Cookie

Upon closer inspection of your now frozen stature, Longan was disappointed to see a face of utter fear and terror plastered on your face, it really didn’t help that signs of your previous encounters with the other dragons littered your body. Longan had a feeling this would happen, of course their fellow dragons can’t do the simple task of ensuring their dearest is in perfect condition and without a crumb of their body missing.

The other dragons were battering at each other, determined to prove to one another that they were the only one fit to have Y/N Cookie as their beloved. Longan would refuse to allow them to see the cookie, much to Lotus’s more vocal protests as recompense for the condition they found Y/N Cookie in after their little incursions. However, they could be given the opportunity to see you again, but on the grounds that you are to be shared among the group…

Idea prompt 5- The ancients being the ancients.

"Do you know why we ,cookies, were-"

A rubber duck was thrown at her face. She blink for a moment before anger rushes to her face, "How dare-" Another rubber animal- this time a squeaking rubber chicken was tossed at her.

Golden cheese just gives an unasumed face as Dark Cacao arms another rubber chicken. She speaks aloud, "Silence wrench, unless you wish to taste the might of rubber chickens." Dark Enchantress looks so very confused and pissed off at the pair before spotting- what the hell was Pure Vanilla Cookie doing?

For some ungodly reason the man looked exhausted out of his mind, missing his hat and had a baby strapped to his chest, hollyberry was also there holding a baby in her arms talking a mile a minute to the barely responing man. Between the pair the baby hollyberry was holding was sleeping while pure vanilla just had to bend over to grab the rattle the baby just dropped and started screaming about.

And wait where was-

A loud roar is heard behind her as the cake monsters corpse crashed through the wall somehow so easily killed by a strawberry Jam covered White Lily cookie whoses eyes were gleaming.

Dark Enchantresses eyes widden as she tries to flee before she gets knocked out with a heavy rubber chicken.

In the growing silence Pure Vanilla speaks, "Great- glad this is dealt with now- oh shusshhhh papa's here Custard, papa's here, hey how about we go find daddy?" He sooths the baby as he walks away. Hollyberry laughs, "Ah yes, me and royalberry should also make preparations to head home- I still need to break Pitaya's mind again about him." She walks off with a whistle as golden cheese, dark cacao and White lily look at each other. White lily hums, "I need go pick up red velvet- Dark cacao do you-"

The other shakes his head, "Licorice cookie is still up for grabs- first one who gets to him adopts him." He books it as white lily curses and follows after him.

Golden cheese shakes her head with a sigh, "Well atleast those three haven't come up yet... I've still got a decade or two before they do." She shakes her head.

To the props of living in a time loop- while things will get boring they never stay that way for long.

none of the dragons could say what had caused their attachment to you, but they certainly had their theories — lotus dragon cookie believed it was something to do with biology (the need to protect their young), lychee dragon cookie thought it was just a matter of you being adorable, ananas dragon cookie blamed pride (the need to prove themselves as powerful by protecting something as fragile as a mortal child), and pitaya dragon cookie didn’t care enough about underlying reasons to hypothesise about any

not that any of that affected how they treated you, of course, because at the end of the day you were their child and they all adored you in kind regardless of your origins

pitaya dragon cookie’s time with you was spent being playful and adventurous — flying with you in their arms, play fighting with you (and sometimes even letting you win), tossing you up in the air and carrying you under their arm, and just generally doing whatever they can to have you positively shrieking with laughter

lychee dragon cookie is by far the most affectionate member of your new family — smothering you with hugs and kisses whenever you visit their island, bragging about how you’re ‘the most adorable child in the world’ to anyone who will listen, happily resting with you curled up in their arms even when they’re actually quite busy, and generally being a very doting parental figure who loves you more than anything else

lotus dragon cookie does whatever they can to ensure you are set up for a successful life as you grow up: hiring the best tutors for each subject from across the world to ensure that you only get the highest quality of education mortals can offer, using their servants to make sure you keep on top of your studies between sessions of lounging and play, offering their own insights into subjects like history and biology when asked, offering dozens of rewards and incentives for every success, and just generally being an incredibly supportive figure in your life despite coming across as a bit overbearing at times

ananas dragon cookie, meanwhile, instills a strong sense of pride within you and never misses an opportunity to spoil you rotten and show you how much better you are than other mortals: covering you in jewellery and fancy clothes, buying you any toy you ask for the moment you mention it to them, paying for grand outings to fun places around the world, making sure you have as many enjoyable experiences as possible as you grow up, and encouraging you to look down on others whenever you come across them (the other dragons also share that view, they’re just a bit more subtle about it around you)

really you were set to grow up loved and educated and understood in your found family of dragons… until longan dragon cookie found you

until they saw you all on your own, a tiny fragile mortal in the realm of the silver dragon

until they decided to deal with you in the way that they deemed the most appropriate for such an ‘offence’

until you were turned to stone before you could even blink; the eternal child frozen before you even had the time to scream, expression contorted with the beginnings of a terror you never truly got to experience or perceive

until your life came to a sudden, bitter, cold end — just another statue amongst the hundreds that adorned their lair

… your family never was the same after that unforgivable offence, after losing you because of some stupid oversight that led them to bring you with them to that meeting (because, surely, between the four of them they should have been able to keep you safe… should)

they blame themselves, blame each other, and of course are all furious with longan — which leads to them all burning their bridges and going in their own directions to grieve

lotus and lychee have support systems in their followers and, whilst they never truly get over their loss, they are able to live with it afterwards as the centuries go on

ananas returns to their isolation and becomes much more volatile and violent to any mortals that try and approach their lair, grief turning to anger as they relive that day over and over again — they are the one that took what remained of you after the fact and they keep on talking to it in the hopes of bringing you back one day

pitaya leaves everything behind and starts a new life in another kingdom, abandoning their draconic body and becoming an adventurer to avoid their grief — and they do so very well until they run into hollyberry cookie and her companions and end up face to face with a young hatchling that needs to be cared for

a child, so like you and yet so very unlike you at the same time, that forces them to finally face their grief and it breaks them — they are distant in their help with snapdragon cookie but they do offer advice when asked, but it doesn’t hurt any less when they see them and see your excitable face in their own

it hurts, but they will live on no matter how impossible that seems to them in the present

none of them outgrow your loss and they all grieve you and the life you should have had, but that grief manifests differently for each of your family members: pitaya leaves their old life behind, ananas festers in their grief and refuses to leave the past in the past, lotus adapts their grief and grows from it by doing things in your honour, and lychee becomes more isolated and reliant on those under their control to fill the void you left — all different, all separate, all grieving

except for longan, of course, who feels nothing for the life they took for they didn’t know or care to know of the impact that life would have despite how short it had been

you were loved

you are loved

you will always be loved

even if that love changes and grows in your absence

Hello! If you don’t mind if you can make Pure vanilla x white lily fan kid?

Alright, I’ve mentioned him long enough, time to introduce you all to Witch Hazel Cookie, formerly known as Vanilla Lily Cookie

So I chose the name Witch Hazel because it’s a yellow flower, and his design was predominantly going to be yellow. Also, White Lily’s a flower and Pure Vanilla is yellow. But also I kind of liked the name because of White Lily’s ties to witches

So I’ll admit, Witch Hazel’s design is a bit simple, but I think it’s fine enough. I decided early on that his colors would be yellow with pink accents, so I just stuck with that

I had made a design for him back in July, but I couldn’t get it to work. From what I remember of that design, I was going to use more green, and that he’d have hair closer to Blue Lily. I think she was a major inspiration for that early design

Though I do also feel like I didn’t capture his height. Hazel’s supposed to be pretty tall, he towers over PV and probably White Lily (I don’t have an idea of how tall she is in my head)

Also, this is completely random, but after finishing the sketch I couldn’t help but feel like Witch Hazel looks like a lesbian. I don’t know why, he just looked like a witch who was also a lesbian. Which was not my intent at all. And frankly I don’t think the name helps. But it’s his design, so you know

Oh also I intentionally kept his left eye covered. We’ll get into it later but he can’t see out of it anymore

So anyways, let’s get into his character, because as I’ve alluded to, I have stuff to say about it

So generally he comes off as a serene and calm individual, similar to his father. He also uses plant based magic with his branch staff

The idea is that some time before the Dark Flour War, he went off somewhere and hasn’t been seen since by any of the Ancients, and they didn’t know what happened to him. Not sure where he went, but maybe he went to take the Twelve Trials of the Sugar Free Road like Pure Vanilla did

I have this idea that some time in present day (as in during the game’s events), Witch Hazel shows up at the Vanilla Kingdom again after he heard of its return, and is welcomed with open arms by his father, as well as likely being received well by the other Ancients (maybe he shows up in Odyssey? I’m not sure, might be too cluttered having both him and the Creme Republic show up with their own separate plots)

However, there are some things off about him. For one, he’s…rather intense when it comes to dragons. He clearly dislikes them, but more so than a normal Cookie, and in a way that implies he has some beef with them. I think another present member at the Vanilla Kingdom in that original idea was Pitaya, and Hazel didn’t make it entirely hidden that he didn’t like them. Another is that despite his serene demeanor, he occasionally showed cracks in his persona, sometimes muttering backtalk under his breath, or his eye twitching when he acts like this for long enough, or being dodgy about what he’s been up to in the past decades

Well, as alluded to in the sketch, it’s because it’s all fake. Not just his demeanor, but his appearance as well, and what he really looks like being partially shown in the sketch (though it’s just a quick sketch, not necessarily the final design). He uses magic to hide his true appearance

In truth, he’s an angry, bitter and spiteful person with serious temper issues and a pure hatred of dragons. However, his hostile demeanor is more his response to his trauma, lashing out at the world for what happened, but also he finds himself very lonely

His backstory is that sometime after he left the Vanilla Kingdom, he was attacked by a dragon. He tried to fight it with his magic, but it didn’t do much against the beast, and he ended up getting horribly burned by its fire, with it disfiguring his face and body, as well as causing him to lose sight in one of his eyes. In a long, exhausting fight of sheer terror and survival, Witch Hazel eventually killed the dragon, but it was by no means a triumphant defeat. After winning, he took the dragon’s gem and afterwards was able to use dragon fire with it, that being the shape in his real staff, which is made up of a charred old branch. His body is still horribly scarred after the event, especially his face, hence why I kept it obscured. He was never the same after the event, eventually becoming the spiteful person he is today

I think this backstory was inspired by a video I had watched around the same time, in which in talking about the Hobbit movies, the reviewers talk about how Desolation of Smaug implies that Thranduil fought dragons in his youth and that he’s using some sort of glamour to hide his disfigured appearance. I remembered it and then incorporated that into the purelily kid as an idea, which eventually culminated in Vanilly here

Going back to him interacting with other Ancients, I imagine at a point where he snaps, he lashes out at them, saying they don’t know dragon fire like he does, saying that Hollyberry has her magic shield, she’s never actually in danger of it, and Dark Cacao’s dragons don’t even spit fire. His disguise might slip for a bit, with some of his scars on his face showing as he rants about the pain that dragon fire brings

Though at the same time, while he’s afraid of dragon fire, he can be a bit of a maniac when it comes to using his own fire, sometimes getting carried away and burning more than necessary

Okay, I don’t really know how to exactly describe him. I know who he is, and he’s fun to act out in my head, but I don’t know how to describe his personality. I’m bad at describing things. I just know he’s got a lot of issues

However despite how he acts, he wouldn’t join the Cookies of Darkness or anything. I imagine he might consider it when he learns Dark Enchantress is his mother, but he wouldn’t join

There’s no malicious intent in him coming to the Vanilla Kingdom in disguise. In truth, he really did come to the kingdom because he heard it appeared again and that his father was alive. The reason he came in disguise and acted the way he did is because he was terrified that with how he was, both in appearance and demeanor, his father would reject him, so he put on a fake look with what he imagined his father would like, determined to keep that facade for as long as it takes, never breaking character so that he never faces that rejection. He desperately wants to tell Pure Vanilla about everything he’s been through and to be honest with him, but his fear wins out and he keeps the facade

I want to talk more about the idea I have with Witch Hazel showing up in the Vanilla Kingdom, but I feel like maybe that should be its own post. But I may as well talk about Pure Vanilla in this story

So Pure Vanilla is overjoyed to see his son again, and he’s willing to overlook oddities in his behavior because of it. But when others bring up his odd behavior (and I think Pitaya notes that he’s clearly using magic to hide his appearance), and even he can’t ignore it, he becomes more and more concerned, wanting to assume the best but also aware things aren’t what they seem with Witch Hazel. I also imagine a scene with the two, in which Pure Vanilla goes to talk with Witch Hazel in the room he’s staying in, and the room is completely dark, and Witch Hazel is in his true form, though we (and Pure Vanilla) don’t see it since this is before his reveal. Witch Hazel insists the lights stay off, which only off puts PV more, and he tries to confront Witch Hazel about his suspicious behavior, but Witch Hazel shuts down his concerns, trying to make everything sound fine. Pure Vanilla agrees to leave him alone for now, and at the end of this conversation, Witch Hazel hesitates and almost wants to let Pure Vanilla see his face, but he stops himself before he can

I really want to talk more about the whole storyline, but this is already very long and I explained it better in my notes, so I might as well just post those notes in another post. But for now, I’ll say that Witch Hazel does eventually snap and its revealed what he looks and acts like, and drama happens and I don’t know what exactly goes down, but by the end of it Pure Vanilla does accept him as he truly is despite everything

I don’t really have much on his relationship with his mother though, I was more focused on Pure Vanilla since he’s actually there

Spoilers for the Legendary Red Dragon update and like. All of the updates involving the dragon's will be mentioned in some capacity here lmao

Okay so something that's crossed my mind a LOT is that the dragon's (and Wyverns) are probably frugivores, or frugivore leaning at least. Especially since most, if not all of the stuff we've seen them eat, or get offered by cookie's up until this point in CRK and CROB is fruit! We know that it isn't cannibalism in the CRK/CROB universes, as we've seen cookie's and dragon's eat there own ingredients—like Cocoa Cookie with hot cocoa or Ananas Dragon Cookie with pineapples.

Cannibalism seems to be frowned upon to dragon's, or at least just uncomfortable for them based on Pitayas reaction to the Dragonhead Stew, which shows there sentience and psychological intelligence. I think it'd also make sense for them to be frugivores based on where Longhan, Ananas, Lychee & Lotus live, (mainly sunny area's with lot's of fruit and vegetation, as well as open fresh/saltwater source's, making a great place for fruit to grow freely).

But for Pitaya it's a little more nuanced, mainly because of the conditions Pitaya lives in, which isn't very good to grow fruit at all. The Dragon's Valley is also shown to not have much vegetation, if any at all due to it's hot conditions—though plants are present, there scarce and usually the same species, most likely being near cooler places for water consumption.

But we've seen Pitaya eat berries (and get poisoned from them) near the Hollyberry Kingdom during the Special Episode with them, and other Dragon's taking opportunity of the chaos with the Legendary Red Dragon. Which means that Pitaya and other Dragon's/Wyverns are probably scavengers and opportunistic eater's! So they'll eat whatever's available and in there diet, whenever. Similar to some species of snake's and lizard's, which are usually also scavenger's or predators in there own right.

Dragon's could also be omnivores, seeing as Pitaya eats (and enjoys) a meat stew in the Special Episode of the Legendary Red Dragon! I do think that fruit is probably a huge portion of Dragon and Wyvern diet's, since most of the places Dragon's seem to live in have great amounts of fruit or vegetation present. I think it could also be like the phenomenon of how deer and cow's sometimes eat bones, snakes or other small animals if there lacking vitamins/nutrients in there diet despite being herbivores.

And given Pitayas power situation at the time, they we're probably EXTREMELY hungry since they we're like withering away slowly the entire adventure. They even said themselves they have no idea why their Cookie form is this hungry, which also implies that Dragon's could be intermittent eater's, so they don't eat everyday, which makes sense given that Dragon's are based on lizard's and reptiles in folklore involving them.
