Just a rant.

Aroace culture is being annoyed at people over sexualizing and romanticizing things like bedroom, sleepover, boy/girl friendship, dates, physical affection and kissing. Even confessions. I think it has been drilled into our brains so much even aroaces might feel weird and careful displaying any of them.

Though I'm the one saying this, I do feel awkward and afraid of displaying affection to my friends and family. "Is this right? Am I a creep?" I doubt myself, sometimes I even feel ashamed, all this struggle is because my brain follows the so called "norm" which is "a man and woman can't be friends, they can't be alone together in a bedroom without doing anything funny, they can't live together like friends", "Kissing is only sexual/romantic (including pecks)", "dating is romantic" blah blah blah. Gosh! I wanna be so affectionate with my friends, I wanna go on dates, hug them, kiss them, cuddle them...so so much but my brain is currently stuck on these toxic patterns. Even when my friends show affection, I feel weird and ashamed. I hate it.

I gotta get out of these thinking patterns. I hate amatonormativity. I hate over sexualizing or romanticizing things. I hate all the suffering many people including myself are going through because of this, not just aroaces. I just hate it.

Hello there! No worries about the double asks, I don't mind at all! I can absolutely write somethin for ya :^) No established romantic relationship, though it's heavily implied there's feelings that are somewhat sort of being acted upon.

Warning! Potential Spoilers for the Indigo Disk DLC!

Before you came to Blueberry Academy, it was obvious you weren't one for physical touch if it weren't from one of your Pokemon. You'd bristle at a hand on your shoulder and stiffen if he rested his arm on you. So Drayton saw an opportunity and he took it. Any moment he could, he'd be brushing against you, grazing you with his fingers and pulling at your bag straps just to mess with you. Whatever they were doing to you back in Paldea and Kitakami must've been something since you were so skittish and wary of everyone around you.

He got scolded multiple times by multiple people, Amarys even tried mediating. You've been through some things, they argued, he shouldn't be pushing your boundaries. Sounded like jealousy to him. And you know what? He was right, because after months of persisting, you'd gone and eased into it, adverting your eyes and sinking into his touch which had went from teasing to gentle in an instant.

Your little friend has been nothing but trembling with murderous intent since the first time you subconsciously leaned into his touch. Drayton's not against showing Kieran that he's lost again. Everyone who sees him as lazy can't seem to realize that he's actually just playing the long game. Obviously his methods are the best because who else but the Drayster managed to break down those walls you put up? No one! But... maybe he bit off a little more than he could chew, since you are... a lot. No one's even scratched the tip of the iceberg, but at some point he realized that you're less like a regular human being and more like a weird, unidentifiable creature of some sort in terms of your behaviors and mannerisms. Might be all the weird energies you've been exposed to, or maybe you were always this way. Either way, he's just started to crack the code and maybe it's something he wasn't prepared for.

Now it's hard to keep it on the down-low just how needy you really are. You want to be near him, regardless of the consequences. So much so that you've started to skip out on everyone else.

You're physically demanding, too. It's like the game flipped on him, because now he's the one who's scared you're going to be caught glomping on him and he's going to be hunted down for it. Kieran and his sister have already been brandishing their knives, he can't have the whole school after him! Plus, it all must look so... intimate from the outside. Of course, between you, you're nothing but good buds, but if a teacher saw you both entangled together they'd think the worst, and that'd not be good for either of you.

But, well, he certainly feels smug when you come and sit in his lap while he's playing on his phone. Even more so when the thrill of potentially getting caught could mean a furious little pipsqueak and the news getting out that you're his, his.

The way Gideon and Harrow were only able to show affection with each other through fighting. Like, instead of hugging or anything normal they'd rip each other to shreds due to how badly they wanted to feel loved. And that was probably the only way they got their physical touch needs met.

the first time holding your hands feels. . . well Lute feels a whole string of new emotions

first of all, it's like she swallowed the heavens themselves. there's a warm pit in her chest that heats up her face and neck like nothing else

i think holding your hand is what she'd like and do most often

Lute is definitely a physical touch kind of person

it's easier to show you how she feels than to tell you

so she'd definitely hold your hand often, firmly. or at least have her fingers linked with yours

you kiss Lute (lets say for the first time?)

to her its completely unexpected (even if its been a long time coming for you two, lets be real)

as a trained exorcist, the surprise causes her to malfunction just slightly i.e her wings flutter up as if she was expecting you to attack her

once she relaxes she's able to awkwardly kiss you back, this time, shielding the two of you from any stares (that or she's physically trying to shield herself from the embarrassment)

always has a little smile on her face when you kiss her, and likes to pull you in for another one when you try to walk away fast

one: at first she'd be extremely uncomfortable if you surprised her with a hug from the back (think its cute until you get body slammed by her)

and two: when she gets to hug you its like a physical sigh of relief to just have you hold her back (i think in theory too she'd never let anyone support her without feeling a little. . . uneasy about it (she can carry herself type of thought) , but your hugs feel-good)

so yes, hugging her at first is like hugging a stone pillar, but she relaxes into it! even beginning to melt into them

Lute is strong too, so her hugging you so tenderly makes me want to cry
