Some family feels for the pokeattorney AU <3 I noticed I have the tendency of drawing them either sleeping or dozing off... I swear it's not intentional. I think Umbreon would fit very well for Phoenix during disbarment era (and ironically, Umbreon has a connection to poison), while the idea of Trucy + gigantamax Eevee is just too funny to pass up (Apollo will have nightmares) Espeon fits Miles' refined aesthetic. Also note how Espeon and shiny Umbreon both feature the lighter version of Miles and Phoenix's signature colors. They meet the whole Eevee family during a smuggling ring case, Trucy begs to keep them afterwards. Espeon and Umbreon both evolve at the same time, but they're in different timezones - it occurs during a case that involves incidents in two different countries, so they're working separately but something happens and their mons evolve to protect their trainers. On a side note I think Trucy + overalls is the cutest thing so I need to draw a fullbody version sometime.

Someone needs to do a thing about Phoenix Wright becoming a Tumblr celebrity/meme in universe, getting treated in a similar way to how we treat Hbomberguy irl. You cannot tell me that Tumblr wouldn't see a lawyer solve a fifteen year old cold case by cross examining a parrot and not immediately declare him our king.

Needed to have evidence law explained to him mid-trial

Proven the existence of ghosts to win his trials(?????????)

Defended an orca in court.

Only lost three times in his entire career (absolutely fucking insane if you know how Japanifornia's legal system is. Tbh, defendants are screwed in our current system.)

Successfully proven that the prosecutor committed the crime his client was accused of by checking him with a metal detector.

Claims to have a magic necklace that can let him see lies??????

Was once nearly taken out by the mafia.

Once got impersonated by a dude with a cardboard badge.

Repeatedly been assaulted by witnesses and even prosecutors? Like, one of them straight up tazed him and he was once apparently whipped unconscious in court???

Survived getting hit by a speeding car and being sent flying, falling through a burning bridge, and all the times he got assaulted.

Also, that description of his relationship with the Prosecution really doesn't do any justice. Apparently, Phoenix only started practicing law so he could meet this man in court again.

Who gave this indestructible homosexual a law degree? He clearly has too much power.

Pokéattorney AU sketches! Following up on my pokémon AU post from earlier: https://periwinkla.tumblr.com/post/745674186257727488/au-where-everything-is-the-same-but-all-animals 1. Phoenix has a Rowlet and Miles a Ralts - I love the idea of Phoenix thinking about how adorable it is that Rowlet and Miles match. Also I imagined Gregory giving Miles a Ralts when he was little and now I'm sad. 2. Of course, that's Iris in the 2nd pic. I imagine Phoenix going on and on about his reason for studying law (I mean it would only make sense that he told her - and maybe that's the reason he's so secretive about basically everything after Dahlia's betrayal). So it just made sense to give him Goomy! I just had to give him a Dragon type but also Goomy is perfect for him because he goes from being a weakling to a pretty strong mon (at least in lore). Also from a Pokédex entry about Goodra: 'It loathes solitude and is extremely clingy—it will fume and run riot if those dearest to it ever leave its side.' So yeah, pretty apt I think. Iris has a white Flabebé btw.

3. I was indecisive about the Phoenix + Decidueye combo but drawing them out I think it really, really fits him. Btw the reason it's shiny is just because of the color matching better. 4. I think Gardevoir fits Miles the best but I also want to give him a Kingambit. Have them all drink tea in his office. imagine a Kingambit leisurely drinking tea. I also imagine little Franziska dancing around with a Kirlia when they were younger. And now I'm sad again. I want to draw more about this - definitely some Trucy + Hoopa and Kay + Greninja, and way more Miles!
