Pfunds Molkerei, Dresden
This lovely place was used as one of the film locations for 'Grand Budapest Hotel' (2014) as the Mendl's bakery. This unique dairy store was established in 1880 and kept its original interior with hand painted decorative tiles.

Dresdner Molkerei Gebrüder Pfund / Pfunds Molkerei
The “most beautiful dairy shop in the world” was opened in 1892 CE by Paul Gustav Leander Pfund (1849–1923) in Dresden, Germany.
It was fortunate to survive the heavy bombing during WWII that destroyed most of the city.
Little has changed inside the shop since then, although much has changed outside, namely inventions of refrigeration and pasteurization that have made milk easier to keep at home.
Today, it is one of the most popular attractions in Dresden and offers you a fascinating look, as well as a wide variety of cheese specialities and regional products.
The unique shop has been entered into the Guinness World Records as the "World’s Most Beautiful Milk Shop."
The entire interior is decorated with 247.9 m² hand-painted Villeroy & Boch Ceramic tiles.
The shop is covered floor to ceiling with dancing angels, chubby babies, cows, and woodland creatures.
It’s all accented in gold and blue, and lit by chandeliers, which might delude some into thinking this is a luxury jewelry shop rather than one selling milk.
The shop tells the story of the Pfund brothers.
A fairytale world of motifs awaits you on site that will amaze you. Pfunds Molkerei still sells milk and boasts one of the country’s finest cheese selections (though they were forced to limit it to a mere three state-sanctioned brands during the socialist years of East Germany).
The cafe upstairs sells dairy-based delicacies, like tortellini with spinach and grated feta or pork in pepper cream sauce. The wares inside haven’t changed much either.
Meanwhile, you can indulge yourself with a glass of fresh milk, buttermilk, a cheese platter, chocolates, milk soaps, and cream-based liquors or other delicacies from the shop.
The Pfund brothers were known in the city for their entrepreneurial spirit and wealth of ideas. The main focus was on supplying the people of Dresden with regional and high-quality products.

DÜNYANIN EN GÜZEL SÜT DÜKKÂNI
Pfunda Süt (Süt) Mağazası; Almanya'nın Dresden kentinde Dünyanın En Güzel Süt Dükkanı.
MS 1892 yılında Paul Gustav Leander Pfund’un açtığı “dünyanın en güzel mandıra dükkanı” İkinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında şehrin büyük bir kısmını yok eden ağır bombardımandan sağ çıkmayı başarmış.
O zamandan beri dükkanın içinde çok az şey değişti, ancak dışarıda çok şey değişti, yani sütün evde saklanmasını kolaylaştıran soğutma ve pastörizasyon icatları.
Bugün Dresden'in popüler turistik mekânlarından biri olan ve büyüleyici bir görünümün yanı sıra çok çeşitli peynir spesiyaliteleri ve yöresel ürünleri de sizlere sunmaktadır.
Eşsiz mağaza Guinness Rekorlar Kitabı'na girdi; Dünyanın En Güzel Süt Dükkanı olarak seçildi.
İç mekânın tamamı 247,9 metrejarelik elle boyanmış Villeroy & Boch seramik karolarla dekore edilmiştir.
Dükkan tavandan tabana dans eden melekler, tombul bebekler, inekler ve orman yaratıklarıyla kaplı.
Tamamı altın ve mavi tonlarında vurgulan ve avizelerle aydınlatılmış, bu da bazılarının buranın süt satan bir mağazadan ziyade lüks bir kuyumcu dükkânı olduğunu düşünmesine neden olabilir.
Mağaza Pfund kardeşlerin hikayesini anlatıyor. Sitede sizi şaşırtacak masalsı bir motif dünyası sizi bekliyor.
Pfunds Molkerei hâlâ süt satıyor ve ülkenin en iyi peynir çeşitlerinden birine sahip olmakla övünüyor (her ne kadar Doğu Almanya'nın sosyalist yıllarında bunu devlet onaylı yalnızca üç markayla sınırlamak zorunda kalmış olsalar da).
Üst kattaki kafede ıspanaklı tortellini ve rendelenmiş beyaz peynir veya biberli krema soslu domuz eti gibi süt ürünlerine dayalı lezzetler satılıyor. İçerideki eşyalar da pek değişmedi.
Bu arada, mağazadan bir bardak taze süt, ayran, peynir tabağı, çikolatalar, sütlü sabunlar, kremalı likörler veya diğer lezzetlerle kendinizi şımartabilirsiniz.
Pfund kardeşler şehirde girişimci ruhları ve fikir zenginliğiyle tanınıyordu. Ana odak noktası Dresden halkına bölgesel ve yüksek kaliteli ürünler sunmaktı.

#8 DZIEŃ
Dziś nasz drugi dzień w Dreźnie. Zwiedzanie planujemy dopiero "po pracy", więc wcześniej zaopatrujemy się w niemieckim Aldi w Niemcach (może być coś lepszego?) w lody, owoce, jemy obiad i leniuchujemy.
Wykorzystujemy auto do podróżowania dxis po mieście. Jest już po 16tej więc może ruch jest mniejszy. Ustawiamy mape na Neustadt, ale po drodze chcemy zobaczyć Yenidze. Wisi u nas w salonie na ścianie i robi mega wrażenie. Nie udaje się zatrzymać w pobliżu, więc zadowalamy się widokiem z auta. Poza samą architekturą wrażenie robi też historia tego budynku. Fabryki tytoniowej na wzór mauzoleum w Kairze zażyczył sobie Hugo Zietz w 1907 r. Nazwa budynku pochodzi od tureckiego regionu, w którym uprawiano tytoń. Warunki zatrudnienia dla 1500 pracowników były bardzo dobre- takie korpo z początku tamtego stulecia, zaopatrujące w papierosy. Sam mauretańsko-secesyjny styl nie uchronił fabryki przed zniszczeniem. Odbudowany i odrestaurowany budynek w 1997 został ponownie otwarty jako budynek biurowy z restauracją. W jego piwnicy urządzono tymczasowo dyskotekę, a w kopule regularnie organizowane są różne imprezy. Ktoś chciałby zmienić pracę?
Teraz czeka nas nowa część miasta, z Kunsthofpassage, czyli Pasażem Artystycznych Dziedzińców. To imprezowa czwsc miasta, nasze dzieci zainteresowane tymi młodymi ludźmi i ich wyglądem, my czujemy się staro w takich miejscach, no trudno.
Tak czy siak, podwórka z galeria sztuki na świeżym powietrzu robią wrażenie. Pełno tu małych sklepików i klimatycznych kawiarni.
Ale my ruszamy w poszukiwaniu "najpiękniejszej mleczarnia świata" jak głosi wpis w księdze Giunnessa. Faktycznie nie mogła mieć sobie równych w tym wyścigu. Pfunds Molkerei założyli 2 bracia, którzy już w 1880 r. chcieli zaopatrywać mieszkańców miasta w świeże mleko, ktore dowozone ze wsi docierało do Drezna zepsute. Wyobraźcie sobie witrynę sklepu z krową dojoną na waszych oczach - taki mieli pomysł i pykło.
Wnętrze sklepu jest wyłożone fantazyjnie ilustrowanymi płytkami w stylu neorenesansowym. Ręczne malowidła na ścianach, posadzce i ladzie, na której lądują cukierki, wino z bzem i pamiątkowa torba z ową mleczarnią ;)
Wracamy do auta, po drodze chwiląa na placu zabaw i jedziemy do Grosse Garden. Założony został w roku 1676 z inicjatywy księcia Saksoni. Rozbudowywany zajmuje dziś 1,45km². W samym centrum mieści się pałac, fontanna i wszystko to co w klasycznym francuskim ogrodzie być musiało.
