For once them knowing what’s going on with Crusty really works. It showed their urgency. With the deadline past, they don’t have time to be fooling around by running into monsters to distract them. No. They purposely came to Crusty with the intention of getting into the underworld. They’re not playing around, they’re not getting attacked by a monster. THEY are approaching the monster to get where they need to go. It’s an expectation subversion that they are actually setting a trap for the monster. It’s a risky, yet calculated plan that shows their urgency.
