Why do people say terfs reduce women to their bodies? Aren't trans rights activists literally calling women "people with uteruses"???
yes, exactly. also, our rights are not in danger because right-wingers and conservatives hate "people with uteruses". They don't hate "people with vaginas" and they don't think "people with breast tissue" are stupider than "people with penises". They think women are inferior to men.
It's like when people with textured hair are discriminated against, the discrimination is not against textured hair itself, it is against Black people.
When people make fun of monolids by pulling their lids back, it is not because they specifically hate monolids. It is because they want to make fun of Asian people.
And when people speak in a mocking accent, it is not because they find the accent itself worthy of mockery, they want to make fun of people from the region where this accent is spoken.
So acting as if legislation was against "people with uteruses" is a lie. It is not against the specific body part. It is against women, and it is because of misogyny. And if we can't say the word, it will be infinitely harder to reach consciousness as an oppressed class.
The meme is somehow supposed to be funny even though it's more important to listen to those who have the uteruses concerning reproductive rights - the organ that is being legislated against re: abortions?
They forgot all of the boys with uteruses out there?
Why does menstruation have to be so disgusting? Like I didn't ask to be a girl and now I gotta be punished once a month? Can uteruses be a little nicer with the clean up? Why does it have to last for days creating so much waste?
I was wondering if any other women, afab people, or people with uteruses have ever experienced a dream where they gave birth to a baby.
It happened to me last week, and I can't get the little girl that I gave birth to out of my head. I didn't really give her a name, but every time I looked at her, the only word that came to mind was, "Bonita." I had never heard of someone being named Bonita, but when I told my partner about it, he told me his grandma's name is Bonita, but she was always called Bonnie. That made me go 👀.
I believe the baby I birthed was premature because she was small enough to fit in my cupped hands, and she had a kind of grayish hue to her skin. I remember having this overwhelming feeling that if she was separated from me, she would die.
I keep thinking about her, and I miss her. Has anyone else had an experience like this? Does anyone have an idea of what this dream meant?
Anybody want a free printable period tracker CANVA template? It's a work in progress, I just edited a habit tracker format.

If you use the tracking apps like Flo, Clue, etc. its time to stop and delete your data. They have illegally sold data in the past. One of their chief investors is Peter Thiel who has donated millions to Trump and other GOP canditates. Peter Thiel, who referred to rape as "belated regret." Your data is not safe and could be used against you.
In case anyone feels the need to branch out in their biological knowledge:
My mom sent us a news link about a woman with two uteruses who's expecting a baby in each one. And my CNM sister (certified nurse-midwife) answered:
Yep! I've seen that before. We've had 2-3 women over the yrs with "2 uteruses" with pregnancies in both in our practices.
I've also had dozens of women with 4 or 5 "breasts" - they lactate from all of them after delivery. Called accessory nipples, or accessory mammary tissue.
It's unusual to have pregnancies on both sides at the same time, but uterine anomalies are fairly common and I've seen hundreds of women with uterine didelphys and 2 cervices. When you do the paps, you have to be sure you label each sample correctly so you know which cervix it came from. And, these anomalies are linked to kidney anomalies as well, so we get imaging of the kidneys once we find out they have 2 cervices.

...Human biology continues to show more variety than most of us knew, which is very cool!
PCOS stands for polycystic ovarian syndrome. And just as it sounds, it’s when cysts form frequently on the ovaries. This is a hormonal disorder with no known cause, but likely has genetic factors.
PCOS can cause missed or irregular menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne, infertility, painful cramping, weight gain, and a variety of other symptoms. People with PCOS may be at higher risk for type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, and endometrial cancer.
What happens?
When the ovary releases an egg, a sac will form on it or within the ovary and this is natural. It goes away on its own and forms again in the next ovulation cycle. But in some women, that sac doesn’t go away. It sits on the ovary, gaining fluid and growing bigger. It starts to become painful, pressing on other organs and creating inflammation. There’s the possibility (especially if there’s more than one cyst) of torsion—where the ovary will turn over and twist the fallopian tube. Torsion is extremely painful and needs emergency care and possibly immediate surgery. There is also a possibility of these cysts bursting, and all that fluid is released, causing the abdomen to swell painfully. Once a cysts bursts, there is no treatment but letting the fluid slowly drain from the body naturally in your urine.
What can be done for it?
There is no cure for PCOS. The current medical treatment methods are birth control and/or laparoscopic surgery. Doctors can try to manage your hormone imbalances and monitor the cysts, but sadly there is not much research on this disease for a better treatment or cure. People with PCOS can try to find natural remedies that will balance their hormones, but most symptoms do not go away completely.
i cannot believe how little people talk about periods genuinely i feel BLINDSIDED by it. because until you get yours all they tell you is you bleed once a month what they don't tell you is that on at least one of those days you'll be like completely incapacitated like ILL and in massive amounts of pain and that you will have hot and cold flushes and you'll get headaches and your boobs will be sore and you'll have acne and you'll be constipated one day and very very not the next day and you don't just get cramps in your stomach ohhhh no i get cramps in my legs and my feet and my back hurts and on the first morning your period starts the only thing you'll be able to get down is plain toast and you'll be hormonal before and you'll be hormonal after and you'll be hormonal during and you get maybe ONE day a month where the hormones aren't affecting you and even when you're not on your period you could be having discharge and you'll need a pad anyways and pads and generally period products are SO SO SO EXPENSIVE even though you cannot possibly go without them and all the while you're expected just to get on with your life??!?!?!? it just completely fucking SUCKS and there is nothing you can do about it really at all and it goes on FOR LIKE FIFTY YEARS???!! what the fuck. genuinely blindsided i didn't get mine until i was 15 so really i've only been doing it 5 years and you're telling me i have to keep doing it for ten times that
