Please can we hear some stereotypes about people from Peloponnisos??

I hear they say they are rough and rugged people like their land, not necessarily mean people tho! I think they're rumored to be straightforward, austere, and traditional.

They seem to be proud of their land and their strong participation in the 1821 Revolution.

Also a Greek on the initial stereotypes post wrote this:

To put it more eloquently, it probably refers to the old close-knit communities of the rural Peloponnese.

I've watched some episodes of Μαύρο Ρόδο which takes place in a Peloponnesian village and an old monastery there, and now I am an expert on the area! (take this with a great amount of sarcasm). I've also linked the Peloponnese with a Greek Bachelor contestant who was from Mani 😂

Ήδη από τα χρόνια της Τουρκοκρατίας είχε οριοθετηθεί πέριξ της σημερινής οδού Παντοκράτορος, το «εμπορικό κέντρο» της παλιάς Πάτρας.

Με την απελευθέρωση και την οικοδόμηση της Κάτω Πόλης τα δεδομένα άλλαξαν. Οι εμπορικές ανάγκες των κατοίκων μεταφέρθηκαν, μαζί με τις κατοικίες τους, στην Κάτω Πόλη.

Και προϊόντος του χρόνου λειτουργούσαν το ένα μετά το άλλο νέα μαγαζιά. Και όσο μεταβάλλονταν οι ανάγκες, όσο «ξεφύτρωναν» νέα επαγγέλματα, τόσο γιγάντωνε αυτή η ιστορία με τα μαγαζιά της Πάτρας.

Η οποία είναι αδύνατον να καταγραφεί σε ένα και μόνο αφιέρωμα των «Επιλογών» της «Π». Γι’ αυτό και το σημερινό τεύχος είναι το πρώτο σε μια σειρά άλλων που θα ακολουθήσει.
