Livecastershipping Headcanons (2)

1. On a night time, Curtis always calls Rosa if he can't be with her.

No matter what he's doing, he calls her, always keen to make sure that she's safe and sound. If he can't be there to hold her at night, he at least wants to make sure that she's happy and healthy at the end of each day.

2. They count down the days until they can see each other again.

 Curtis and Rosa aren't officially long-distancing. They  don't consider themselves as being in a long distance relationship, at least, but sometimes work can call Curtis away for days, even weeks at a time, and sometimes Rosa's duties as the champion and heroine of Unova can ask a little bit too much of her and the two of them are forced to part ways for a short period of time. Nevertheless, they talk to each other via the XTransceiver if they can't be in each other's physical company, and they count down the days until they can be together once more.

3. They're not a celebrity couple, but the public are starting to read in between the lines.

Every now and then, Curtis will slip up whilst on live television. He may drop a little hint here and there about the special girl in his life, and sometimes his co-workers (most of which have no idea of Rosa's identity) tease him a little whilst on air.

Rosa rejects the odd declarations of love she gets from admiring Pokémon trainers and film-goers. She finds it a little tedious, in all honesty - she knows they're only interested in her for her battling prowess and the work her make-up crew do for her - she openly admits that she's in a relationship but refuses to give any names.

The real pointers come in the form of their interests. They so often talk about their likes and dislikes, which are uncannily similar, and of their favourite activities, which they so often indulge in whenever they have the to go dates.

We will sometimes disagree, but we will always take time to work with and understand each other. 5. We will acknowledge inequalities of power, knowledge, time, and ability, and we will strive for equity. 6. We will respect the trust placed in us by the City of Hamilton and by our fellow residents. 7. We will adapt our means to achieve these ends.

Principles of Participatory Budgeting Ward 2

learning about participatory budgeting this morning, via Facebook friends from Hamilton, ON. PBW2's mission: 

Participatory Budgeting Ward 2 (PBW2) aims to broaden, deepen, and sustain public deliberation and decision making over municipal fiscal policy. By providing opportunities for residents to learn and practice skills that empower them to effect change, PBW2 will contribute to enhancing the health and resilience of Hamilton’s economy and society.

I love this mission statement because it uses the word "resilience" to describe the Hammer, which I feel is a great descriptor. (I may be biased since my undergraduate thesis was on psychological resilience and that was all done in Hamilton, too.) I can't wait to see Hamilton become greater.
