Børnevenlig kødsovs!
Child-friendly bolognese
Ingredients:
200 g Bacon dices*
400 g Minced beef
1 medium size or 2 small onion
4-5 cloves of garlic, sprouts removed
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato bits with juice
Salt, pepper, paprika powder, dried oregano and other "Italian" herbs, vegetable buillon cube or powder
Pasta of some sort
* if you can't have bacon for some reason you just leave it out and use some olive oil or butter for fat to fry in.
How to:
Put bacon in a big pot and render and crisp it at medium heat. Takes a good 30-45 minutes depending on how crispy you want it. Stir occasionally
Peel and dice onion.
Crack pepper into pot and add onion. Stir
Peel and mince garlic. Let it just sit on the cutting board for now. Makes it healthier. Remember to wash your knife immediately as garlic sticks to and corrodes the blade if left on for too long.
When onion seems softened, add beef and crush it with your spoon. Fry until browned, stirring occasionally.
When all beef has browned, add garlic and tomato paste. Stir it in and rinse the can. Use the water from rinsing the can to put in the pot as liquid to prevent burning.
Add the canned tomato bits, rinse the can with just a little water and add that water to your pot.
Add the buillon and herbs
Bring to a boil and then down to a simmer for at least 1 hour. Stirring occasionally
Taste test and regulate with salt, pepper, herbs and paprika to taste.
Boil whatever pasta you want however you usually do
Assemble in deep plates or bowls. Garnish with cheese?
