I don't know if you mean them as parents together or not, but I'm gonna just go for it lol

Cross-

He's the way too protective type. He dislikes not knowing where his child is like all the time.

Does better raising a boy than a girl most likely, but is a pretty good parent either way.

Asks way too many questions. Mostly where they were and what they've been doing.

He just worries that they're going to get hurt and is showing it by being way too protective of them.

Doesn't trust any of their friends at first and is always asking way too many questions.

Lies don't go by him. If his child lies to him about anything he's gonna know what it is that they're lying about, and he isn't gonna be happy about it >:(

Has no idea what to do if they go through a goth phase.

Nightmare-

He isn't a very good parent. At least, not at first.

He doesn't understand how babies work and he will try to push them to walk after like just a few weeks of being born. ("I was able to walk and talk after JUST being born!")

He'll be the type to make stuff up to get the child to listen to him.

Doesn't take rule breaking and will ground the child.

Is the best to talk to when upset though! If his babybones is getting bullied someone's getting their legs broken.

Crossmare-

Together they might not be the best at taking care of the child. Cross is too hands on while Nightmare is too... Hands off.

They'll learn together. Cross is most likely the mom.

Cross is the one that remembers to feed the kid, mostly cause he also needs to eat but sometimes he might forget on accident.

Parenting Headcanons- Getting Dirty because of Kiddo

Umino Iruka

Most likely to take a marker across the face because he was goofing around with his kid and forgot they were holding it.

Has walked into class with a giant marker streak across his face and been very confused about why his students are laughing their butts off at him

Starts carrying wipes everywhere with him in case of emergency

Always finished playing and laughing before going to lean ridiculous amounts of marker off of his face

Screams only if said marker hits a vulnerable spot like his eye, or the one time it somehow got into his ear.

Yamato

Does not like getting dirty

Easy to fluster with dirt and crayon’s. Will spend time each day cleaning up only to have it ruined five seconds later

As much as he tried not to let it show how annoyed he is, he is very annoyed. Will very to Asuma about it over drinks at least once a month.

If there’s such a thing as ‘mess free markers’ he is buying them. No he will not be judged about it, leave him alone

Hatake Kakashi

Cleans his home every night after kiddo goes to bed

Finds the mess annoying but refuses to yell or get upset about it. Kiddo will just find everything sorted and cleaned when they wake up in the morning.

Probably the cause of his kiddo being a little too fond of cleaning, but refuses to see it as a problem.

Does not do well with getting dirty. Which is hilarious because if he’s playing with the hounds he will come out of the mud dripping head to toe, but anything else is a no go.

Always carries at least three sets if spare clothes in case kiddo gets marker or food on their clothes

Maito Gai

Does not care much about dirt or grime.

Will walk around the village covered in marker because kiddo wanted to draw on him (with skin safe marker) and he wasn’t going to say no

Never has a spare change of clothes and has often asked Kakashi for some because kiddo got a little too dirty and absolutely needed a change.

Regardless of all of this, he is the one prepared with a hose incase Kakashi summons the hounds to play with Gai’s kiddo. He knows how this will end and all of that mud is not going into his home.

Shizune

Tries to be chill but very stern about things being organized.

The walls will have marker on it but the markers will be put away perfectly into a nice little container

Cleans the walls once a week (if she has time)

Always has a stack of blank papers for kiddo to write and draw on because they want to ‘help’ her with her paperwork.

Has handed in kiddo’s drawing to the Hokage by accident and never lived it down. Tsunade teases her but if she’s careful and avoids giving Kakashi any kiddo drawings he gives her those sad puppy dog eyes and asks where his daily dose of happiness is. It’s rude and she hates how adorable she thinks it is that he likes her kids drawings.

Will not go into work or outside the home covered in marker, but her home is most definitely covered in marker

So, my mind has sort of shifted back to the nearly three year fixation on our dear villainous husbands.

I adore these two and have wrote an admittedly poorly written fic about the topic I’m about to discuss. It’s been deleted since because I get embarrassed easy by works I’ve written in the past.

But, here’s some headcanons of mine about Oz and Ed being parents, and well headcanons about their child in general:

They have a young daughter, she isn’t quite old enough to be in school yet, but her mind is as sharp as a tac

She’s a perfect mix of the two of them. Green eyes, cherubic face, and a head of untamable black curls

She picks up things very quickly, and Ed was over the moon when she passed a few milestones earlier than most

She makes the exact same icy glare that Oswald does when someone upsets her, and it often sends Ed into laughing fits every time she does it. Oz still doesn’t think he makes the face, and was thoroughly confused when Ed pointed it out

Oswald sings beautifully if it’s at his proper vocal range, so lullabies are a delight to hear

Storytelling too

Oswald has had to tie his hair back for most of her early life because she very much liked to pull on it

Back to the glare, she often copies both of their mannerisms

They’re villains, they dress flamboyantly and plot to kill a man dressed as a bat. Of course they’d be just as theatric when it comes to playing games

She may be spoiled, but she isn’t poorly behaved

The child likely has more extravagant clothes than the typical Gothamite, and she certainly has some matching outfits

Wintertime is a treasure trove of new traditions, and comfortable domesticity, and yes I’ll admit it’s one of my favorite things to write about

She very easily befriends animals, and seems to be a bit fixated on the more dangerous ones

In addition to that, like most young children, she’s rather clumsy

A little bit of story time in relation to this: When I was around say…kindergarten age, I had taken a karate class. This class only lasted a few days. I was a very impatient child, you see. The class was getting ready to do an exercise where you just kinda kick this standing punching bag thing.

Long story short, I had begun kicking the legs out from under the other kids in front of me because I had simply chosen violence that day. I had to be removed from the class, joined a ballet class a few weeks later, and quit after I fell and “cracked my head open” (it was just a small cut) on a wall vent handle.

I’ve given a glimpse into my memories, so I think I’m done rambling for now. If you’d like to hear more of my thoughts, I’d be happy to provide.

What are some Headcanons about primrose grey as a parent you have ?

She has some goals she wants them to reach, though for that she is patient and invite them to feed their knowledge instead of pushing them to do it

Unlike many women of her rank, she is a close, warm and loving mother who rarely leaves them more than two hours with tutors and other staff. She normally educates them herself in subjects she is well instructed, and turns out to be her children's favourite mother

She also breastfeeds them herself instead having a wet nurse

She reads them classics and plays the piano for them from a young age so their intelligence is more acute

She's also the one to personally nurse them and must always be present when the doctor's examinating them

She teaches her son and daughters similar educations so they don't feel inferior or superior to one another, but equal with some differences between them

She teaches her daughters that a life without marriage or children is possible should they want it and that they are the owners of their destinies, not other people, must less men!

She also teaches her son to understand the best he can what it means to be a good man and treat women right

She also insists that all of her children must know how to shoot and fencing, oratory, rethoric and the basics of politics should women be allowed to vote one day so they vote with the head and not the will of their possible husbands

She also takes her son to Parliament – not because he is a man, but he is her heir – and makes him take notes and listen intently to everyone speaking, even if he disagrees, so he can have a good idea of how Parliament works

They all have a broad knowledge of languages, history of Europe, North America and some countries of the world, philosophy, music, court etiquette, the wizarding world, politics, the estate's finances and ancestry, literature, mathematics, sports and fashion trends

Every time a child of hers is learning a new language, she buys them a book she knows they'll like so they learn the language in a fun way

She loves to kiss and hug her children and let them know how much she loves them

She also takes them to visit all of their surrogate families and her husband's relatives to keep family ties tight and well-built; she frequents the Seymours (@gcldensnitch ) the Alderlies (@gaygryffindorgal ) and the Berkeleys (@beloved-bucky ) the most

She also takes them to travels to experience these cultures they constantly learn about and to see the culture with their own eyes

During Hogwarts, she writes them a letter every Sunday and expects a reply by Wednesday, though if they're with the OWLs and NEWTs, she leaves them to answer whenever they can

She also presents her son and daughters to the King and Queen. Alexandra was presented twice, once as the daughter of Primrose, and the second time as Lady Fersen

She also gives them lectures of how important it is to choose one's life well and meticulously, for divorce during that era is frowned upon and wishes the best for them

She also insists that all of her children have a good hygiene and health, which makes them frequent the doctor and have a bath twice a week at least

She also doesn't hire ladies in waiting for her daughters so they trust their judgement. She dismissed her own after Gia was born

Speaking of, her son has a valet of Irish origin, and her daughters have one lady's maid to help her with garments, though when they grow up they no longer need them

She always defends them and talk them up, proud of her descendants and doesn't hesitate to cut ties should it be necessary: her family comes first

Like a completely normal adult person, after watching the new trolls movie, I obsessively started putting together the brothers' backstory, the deeper reasons for their separation as well as how that all took place without disregarding the fact that they were trapped in the troll tree, which of course evolved into a fic in (forever) progress... yeah

Anyway, even though they aren't actively in the story much, i needed to design the parents, so uh meet Rosiepuff's daughter, Tulip, and her husband Branch.

I designed them based on the brothers' adult looks and in Tulip's case also on her mom's.

I have such a soft spot for the JL forming while the Batfam is alredy big and out there, like I mean Bruce being like 39 and Dick already 27 kind of vibes. Especially if the JL has no clue abt them, it's just so funny to me. Bc they know Batman has been doing it for a long time already and they've heard rumors of more heroes in Gotham, but theyve never been confirmed and Batman keeps them away and they respect him enough to listen. Then the JL enlist Nightwing, who is closer to the average age of the JL, who has already been protecting his city for nearing a decade. And he's professional competent and they don't think any of it when he and Batman work well together, because humans stick together they guess.

Only for Batman to randomly lick his thumb to get some food of Nightwing's face and Nightwing whining: "Daaaaad," all embarrassed, shocking the entire JL, which isn't at all help when Dick adds: "I'm too old for this, go clean Robin's face." And then they have another heartattack, because Batman sounds almost sad when he replies: "Soon you're all going to be too old for this." Which causes Nightwing to pat his back and say: "Don't worry, B. We're never going to be too old to get embarrassed by you." Which somehow cheers Batman (dark scary Batman) up. And that's how the JL learns that the two are related and B very much doesn't work alone.

Swotty's DH headcanon no.4:

The Malfoy line has a couple of differing curses.

1. Being able to produce only one son in a lifetime (because of something that happened hundreds of years ago) to prevent any bastards. Draco having a kid with Hermione somehow broke that because his blood disowned him for procreating with someone of Muggle decent—this one was placed by a scorned Malfoy wife.

2. The kids having the signature Malfoy hair and eyes as to know if the wives have bedded another man—done by some Malfoy patriarch along the beginning of the branch.

I love me some eldritch, incomprehensible ghost speak in fics, but in my heart ghost speak sounds like a theremin being played.

Like, it's one of those instruments that can sound so much *like* a human voice, and sound nothing like one all in the same song. It can make kind of chipping noises, it can make some truly horrifying sounds. It can be beautiful, it can be creepy, it's peak ghost speak to me

(Also just love the idea of people playing the theremin at ghosts to join the ghost speak convo being like the meme of when people meow to their cats, but like are saying "taxes" or "ketchup" in response to "hi" lol)

The Ordeal of Finding a Friend

(This is based on the theory that if Meleanor is in the dark mirror,,, then does that mean that she's responsible for recruiting students for NRC--?? then does that mean that she also chose someone to be Malleus' friend(Prefect🔥)-- with a little assistance from Levan if he's Crowley🐦‍⬛🐉

also inspired by that scene in Maleficent 2 where Maleficent was displeased about Aurora's engagement and the mini plan to just turn Philip as a goat cuz she thinks its better than a human--

Thus,,, on the day of the Orientation...

I like to imagine that this is Meleanor and Levan's dynamic ykyk its a nice callout to Maleficent and Diaval where Maleficent is dubious on Philip but Diaval is just supportive of Philip's proposal because it makes Aurora(in this case Malleus) happy 😭✨

I also like to imagine that Meleanor slowly opens up to humans like she isnt easily fond of them- so if you introduce one to her, you'll need to 'work' for it

so during those times where Meleanor still disapproves the Prefect and Malleus' dynamic... even though Levan and Lilia repeatedly confirms that theyre a green flag... they'll just annoy her like the annoying partners they are-- (also Lilia living the life‼️finally✨ he gets to bother Meleanor🔥(cuz she always bother him with her troubles lol))

I really want other faes to react that Malleus first normal social experience was through a magicless human too‼️

they sheltered their prince out of humans (except for Lilia w/ Silver ehehe💖) but the first one to befriend him normally was a human too
