The thing I love the most about Alastor is that we can't truly know what to think of him, if he is being truly manipulative or if there's a genuine undertone behind any of his words, and that allows people to interpret him differently from one person to another. Like "oh he's being so sweet and supportive", to "no actually he's just saying what people want to hear because he's an evil manipulator". Maybe some fans are being too trustful, just like Charlie, and falling into his lies. BUT maybe there's a true genuine undertone to everything he says, maybe he can be a sweetie behind his evil mask. And maybe he'll turn out redeemable. Or not at all. Who knows?
His character could go in two completely different directions in the next seasons and we have no way of telling how he'll turn out. It's still fully open because he showed he can be awful and evil and manipulative, but since there's been very few hints here and there that he could get attached to the hotel, that means he could be sweet despite all that. The mystery and uncertainty is keeping us thinking and hoping and I LOVE that. He's such a unique and amazingly written character.
On a personal note, I think the two different directions his character could take should coexist. Yes, he's going to be a main villain in the future seasons and betray Charlie and the hotel, yes he's an evil manipulator, BUT he could also get attached to them and show redeemable qualities at the same time. For me it would make the heartbreak even greater and his character even more satisfying.

Idk if this is a hot take or not. But can I just say that I hate how House’s pain is discussed in the show. Like I hate that his pain is always described as psychosomatic. I get it, his pain being a result of his addiction, problems going on in his life, etc makes for a better and more dramatic plot. But I think that everyone in that show always forgets the fact that this man is LITERALLY missing a good portion of his thigh muscle!! Like in the episode where we find out what happened to House’s leg Cuddy even tells Stacey that he will have to live with chronic pain for the rest of his life! Not that he will have to live with pain thats all in his head for the rest of his life. I understand that his Vicodin addiction can mess up his sense of pain (make things feel more painful then they actually are) but that still doesn’t negate the fact that he has chronic pain. I just want people to take him seriously when he says he is in pain :(

Im so sick of being called a gatekeeper with cripple punk. I’m so annoyed at people bitching pissing and moaning because they want so fucking badly in cripple punk spaces because “iM DIsAbLeD tOo” no one is saying you aren’t. But there’s a difference between being disabled and crippled.
Here, by the original creator of cripple punk, see this post.
Let’s look at this a little closer, what does that top line say?
Cripple punk is exclusively by the physically disabled, for the physically disabled.
Physically disabled people aren’t “gate keeping” anything. You can’t gate keep being fucking crippled. We’re telling you to not talk over cripple people because we’re not going to take it. Unless you’re crippled, you literally do not have a voice over us. It’s that simple.
And since I’m gatekeeping, you’re not in the club. Call me a purist, cry whatever. But you trying to force yourself into our spaces is ableist and proves you don’t give a Fuck about what we have to say.

Unpopular opinion but painkillers should be more easily and readily available to people who need them without all the red tape and "oh but what if you get addicted" oh but what if i live the rest of my life in pain.. not that it matters right?
