AyiTe and Idris Miles team up for their long-awaited, first official collaboration “LOSE MY WAY” produced
by the incredible Joss Ryan (Capo Lee, Rachel Foxx, Jimothy Lacoste, Paigey Cakey, ). After years of sharing stages and appearing side by side on the underground Rap circuit, the two finally go back-to-back, trading witty verses on one of this summer’s hottest records.
The journey started after Idris posted a snippet of himself working on an early version of the track, challenging AyiTe to follow up with a verse of his own within 24 hours! Sure enough, less than a day later, AyiTe responded, and after some more back & forth on socials, the fan response was so powerful, they had no choice but to officially release the single.
Idris’ trademark flow and playful energy melds perfectly with AyiTe’s sultry, melodic delivery - both of which sit comfortably on the smooth, J Dilla inspired, Hip Hop beat. All of these components culminate in a seamless collaboration between three artists who respectively have received support from the likes of 1Xtra, Kiss, Capital Xtra, Clash, SBTV, Notion and more.

Following a nearly six-year hiatus, Angel Haze is making 2021 her comeback year. The Los Angeles rapper’s upcoming EP, Girl With the Gun, is out November 19, and she’s offering another preview with the new single ‘The Altar.’ Backed by a loungey rhythm section, ‘The Altar’ finds Haze at the apex of a revelation in terms of her spirituality and her place in the universe. “‘Cause your love and your love and your trust/ Is so much it saved my day,” goes one of the track’s lines, with Haze’s voice switching between a mellow flow and gentile singing. “‘The Altar’ is a song about my reformed relationship with the divine in the world, and in myself,” Haze said in a statment. “What it feels like to reach with your life. To sing, and let things go. When I was recording this track, it felt like I was trying to lift my voice from the floor of my body. A perfect irony.” [via Consequence]
Tay Money is one of the most prominent female rappers in the game right now, and with each new release, she shows off her talent for creating catchy bangers that are filled with braggadocios sentiments. Just last month, she unleashed her new track ‘The Assignment’ which immediately became huge on platforms like TikTok. The whole song plays off of the "they understood the assignment" trend which first popped off on Twitter. Tay Money was able to capitalize on this, and now, she has a bonafide hit on her hands. With the music video for this song, Tay Money naturally goes back to a school setting, where one would typically do assignments. In this video, Tay Money dons colorful clothing all while taking on the role of head cheerleader. There are plenty of high school motifs to be found throughout the video, and overall, it is one of her most striking visuals so far. [via HNHH]
