Two Spots Remain

Week 14 marks the last regular-season game, as usual the schedule makers have put division teams against one another in hopes of garnering the division crown being on the line. There is only one division that hasn't been locked up yet, that being the Walsh division. PURPLEHAZE will host LilShupeScoresBIGPoints who've capped off four straight wins all being division games. LilShupeScoresBIGPoints had the deck stacked against them entering this stretch and yet here they are with a chance to capture the Walsh division with a win. Sweeping BroncosTillDeath as well as Evolution is a large-scale accomplishment and insuring a date against either Evolution or VanillaGorillas should provide them a boost of confidence. Of course, LilShupeScoresBIGPoints wants to win their division and host Evolution in the early round of the playoffs, but if they have to fly to Chicago and face VanillaGorillas they will be better qualified than they were in Week 4 in a loss against VanillaGorillas. This is all speculation because they initially have to defeat PURPLEHAZE on the road in Week 14. Delvin Cook for PURPLEHAZE was limited at practice but has affirmed he is "ready to go." For PURPLEHAZE last week's lost doesn't matter, the only thing that does it this coming week. Champion of the Walsh division will host Evolution while the loser will fly to Chicago and play a road game against VanillaGorillas. PURPLEHAZE defeated LilShupeScoresBIGPoints in Week 5 and early projections have PURPLEHAZE taking the season sweep and the division title. While this game has a lot of media fair the teams competing for a Wildcard spot might be more intriguing than this battle for the division. There are only two spots left for the postseason and with four teams vying for those spots it definitely makes for a super fun last week of the season.

The Busy Killers have been on the outside looking in almost all season but the way things fell last week, they find themselves in position to capture the 8th seed with a win. With Greg Olsen their Tight End sidelined due to a concussion they will be looking to add some Tight End depth, they also must address the Kicking position as it fell short last weekend even in a win. A Week 14 game on the road against Buds Bums who just eliminated BroncosTillDeath from the postseason contention now has an opportunity to defeat and eliminate The Busy Killers - ironically Buds Bums has a shot at eliminating the two teams who were "destined" for Super Bowl XIII. With a Mahomes versus Brady win and you're in scenario, this should actually be a pretty fun divisional game. The Busy Killers and Buds Bums met in Week 1 and Buds Bums took that game by 10-points. Early projections have Buds Bums upsetting The Busy Killers who if they get in will travel to Oakland and take on Black Hole Son. Not only will we get a Mahomes versus Brady game, but we'll also get a Wilson versus Goff game where the winner of this contest will most likely clinch a spot in the Postseason. Balls Deep in their expansion season has a chance to finish 8/6/0 and solidify the 7th seed with a win. Hyrule Empire who has face-planted with four straight losses now is in a spot where they are on the outside looking in. They held this division for the majority of the year and the last four weeks have proven to us that this team still may not be mature enough to know how to win late in the year and find the correct formula to place themselves in a Playoffs spot. A win over Balls Deep will give them a chance to make the Playoffs as long as The Busy Killers and/or Thunderbuddy4Life lose. Hyrule Empire has a better team than Balls Deep and with Balls Deep coaching staff coming out saying their chances the week is one and a million, they seem to have a lack of confidence in Goff and the rest of their roster. The projections have Balls Deep defeating Hyrule Empire by 1-point. This is a big game for both teams as neither has ever made the Postseason. With a win Balls Deep is in - a loss will most likely push them out of the Playoffs and will either give Hyrule Empire or Thunderbuddy4Life a chance to squeak in.

Thunderbuddy4Life the two-time back-to-back Super Bowl Champions would be on the outside of the Playoffs if the season started this week. Luckily for them, they have one more week to make their claim that they are going to contend and defend their Super Bowl Championship. A home game against VanillaGorillas who locked up the Shula division last weekend with a Balls Deep win and a Hyrule Empire loss, Thunderbuddy4Life is now only playing for a Wildcard spot. The two-time Champions are the early favorites as many believe VanillaGorillas will sit many of their starters as they are locked in their Playoff position. VanillaGorillas surprisingly made it to the Playoffs and even won a division with a lackluster roster over the course of the last eleven weeks. Once they made the trade for Brees and Gordon though it has viably secured them as a contender. Thunderbuddy4Life lost their first division game last week which was a major blow to their chances, but they have a slim chance if they can get the dub and The Busy Killers lose or tie, or Balls Deep loses. If Thunderbuddy4Life can get into the dance, I would bet on them to possibly take it all for a threepeat. It is hard to bet against the Champs, but they first have to get in.

While these are the games that have the biggest headlines there are other teams who are locked into the Playoffs like Black Hole Son, Yuba City Sultans, and Evolution. We know Evolution will play the winner of PURPLEHAZE and LilShupeScoresBIGPoints and the loser of that game will travel to VanillaGorillas, but we are still uncertain who the top two seeds will play unless The Busy Killers and Balls Deep win then we'll see The Busy Killers @ Black Hole Son and Balls Deep @ Yuba City Sultans. There's a lot of things which can still happen for four teams vying for a spot, and the teams who are outside and eliminated they are playing for Draft position. The Canadian Cripplers and Straight Edge Society are battling for the 4th and 5th pick but can possibly drop to a 3rd overall pick depending on how Buds Bums and Rainelo Hawks fair. HellbentKronik has all but locked up the 1st overall pick in the 2020 EFL Draft and with that said they will be playing just for pride and to send Black Hole Son stumbling into the Postseason. BroncosTillDeath's draft position is still up in the air but most likely will be picking just outside of the top 5. The 2019 EFL Season has been an exciting one and as we wrap it up we will be keeping our eyes on several big games to see who can clinch the Walsh division and take the final two Wildcard spots.
