Sword Oritoria Chapter 5
Side stories
I knew when Ais started teaching Bell the finer points of fighting, that Freya would get involved. She would send some of her Familia members to give Ais a warning. I planned on being there to give Freya and her Familia a warning of my own.
Since I know when Allen and the Gulliver brothers would attack Ais, I bided my time. Allan and the Gulliver brothers would make their attack in the evening after Hestia finds out that Ais ass training Bell.
I used Umbramancy or Shadow Magic to cloak myself in shadow so they would not be able to know who I really was and waited out of sight. Right after Alan and the Gulliver brothers gave Ais the waring, I reached out telekinetically and grabbed them so they couldn't get away. I pulled them away from where Hestia, Bell and Ais were.
"Let us go! Release us immediately!" Allen demanded.
"Haah haah haah." I laughed at Alen. "How are you going to make me do that?" I asked.
"I will kill you if you don't release us!" Allen threatened me.
"Haah haah." I laughed at him again. "You can't get away, so how are you going to do anything to me? YOU are under my complete control at the moment." I told Allan as I separated him from the four prums. I raised Allen up then slammed him against the ground a couple times then I brought him to where I could see him clearly. "Now are you going to shut up or do I keep slamming you into the ground until you can't talk anymore?" I asked bringing out my dragon aura.
I could feel all five of them shaking from fear from the dragon aura and I grinned. None of them made a sound.
"That is better. Now you go back and tell Freya to leave Bell Cranel and the Hestia Familia alone or she will regret it." I told them.
"How dare you threaten goddess Freya! We will end you here and now!" one of the Gulliver brothers threatened me.
I chuckled at them and flew up two miles into the air. "Try it now." I offered as I pointed down to the ground and Orario which was only the size of a frying pan from this far up. "But if I release you now, I hope you can… fly." I told them smiling evilly at them. Then I released them from the telekinetic hold, letting them fall back down to the ground.
I flew down following the five Freya members as they plummeted to the ground.
"[We are over three kilometers above the ground right now. Do you think you can survive that kind of fall?]" I yelled to them and sent as well so they would know what I was saying because all five of them were doing a lot of yelling and screaming at the moment.
I waited around ten seconds. "[Are you going to STOP threatening Me?]" I asked them.
"YES, WE WILL STOP THREATENING YOU!" Allen yelled over the sound of the air rushing past us.
I reached out telekinetically, grabbed them and slowed down their decent.
"[You will take my warning back to Freya and tell her exactly what I said. There will be no leeway in the matter.]" I said and sent to them.
As we dropped closer to the ground, I flew all of us one mile outside of the city walls. "This is what happens when you threaten me." I told them and released the telekinetic hold on them when we were a hundred feet in the air. That kind of fall won't kill them although it should hurt them some. "Bye bye, have fun." I said as they started to fall. Then I flew back to Orario.
==========
A few days after Lulune, Ais and I opened our Gnome vaults, Ais came looking for me to give me some news.
"I talked to Loki, Finn, Gareth and Riveria. They agreed to meet with you. Loki said they would meet with you outside in the garden. Sorry." Ais told me apologetically.
I nodded my head in understanding. "No surprise. I wouldn't want any of them going into my Familia home, either." I replied. "Did they give a time?" I asked.
Ais nodded her head, yes. "Ten, tomorrow morning. If you can make it." Ais replied.
"Sounds good. I'll be there. Thank you, Ais."
"No problem."
The next day I made my way to Twilight Manor. Taima came along with me in her small cat form.
I walked up to the gate. "Hello, I have an appointment to see Loki, Garith, Finn and Riveria." I told one of the guards.
The guard gave me a severe look. "Who are you." She demanded.
"I'm Eilwyn Tengee." I replied.
Finn walked up to the gate at that time. "Right on time Eilwyn Tengee." Finn told me. Then he turned to the guard. "Let him in."
The guards opened the gate so I could walk through. "Thank you." I told the guards and gave them a small bow. Then I looked at Finn.
Finn motioned with his hand for me to go with him. "This way." He added.
I followed Finn to a table and chairs that had been set up off to the side in a small garden. Riveria and Gareth were already sitting at the table.
"Please have a seat." Finn offered.
I nodded my head towards Gareth and Riveria as I sat down. "Good to see you again." I told them.
"Welcome." Riveria replied.
"Yes, welcome, welcome. It is good to see you as well." Gareth told me in his jovial style.
Taking a quick look around. "Will Loki be here soon or are y'all going to question me to make sure I'm safe to be around before she shows up?" I asked.
Finn smiled. "Now, now, we aren't going to interrogate you. Loki should be here shortly." Finn told me cheerfully.
I returned Finn's smile. "You're not going to interrogate me directly, but you have questions you hope will take my answers in the direction you want them to go. And get answers you want to know about me, as expected." I responded.
"Haah haah haah." Gareth started laughing. "He's got you pegged Finn." He said after he got his laughter under control.
I turned to Gareth. "Gareth, you know you should not give away information like that." I chided him with a grin on my face.
"Haah haah haah." Gareth laughed again.
"Well, what are we up to?" Loki asked as she walked up to the table and took a seat. "And why do you want to talk to me and the leaders of my Familia?" She continued, looking straight at me with her perpetual squint. "Aren't you that guy that helped my Familia on the 50th floor?"
I nodded my head in agreement. "Yes I am." I chuckled. "I want to give you some information, some advice and an offer or two." I told Loki vaguely what I was there for.
Loki squinted her eyes even more as she looked at me. "Why would you want to 'give' us information?" She asked me as if questioning that I could tell her anything she didn't already know.
"Giving you the information will help save Orario and many of your followers." I replied.
Still staring straight at me. "Why would you be concerned about my children? You don't even know them." Loki inquired skeptically.
I chuckled. "I can't say I know them really well, but I do know many of them. And I know more about them, than them being first tier adventurers."
I motioned towards Riveria with my hand. "Riveria here, is a stick in the mud. She is staunch, upright and proud. But she has a good heart and cares about those around her, her friends and family." I started.
Gareth started laughing when I said, Riveria was a stick in the mud. "He does know you, Riveria."
Riveria looked at Gareth with one eye closed. "Shut up, Gareth." Riveria turned her one-eyed stare at me.
I chuckled. "And your teaching style is lacking. It's not bad but it is also not that good. You need to learn to give praise when a student does good, and you need to relax a bit."
I turned to Gareth and pointed at him. "And you Gareth… I really can't say much of anything bad about you, other than you can be a bit 'too' lenient with your fellow Familia members. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it can lead to being bad from time to time." I told Gareth.
And last I turned to Finn.
Finn looked at me with a smile, but he had a curious expression on his face as well. "What do you know about me?" He asked.
I chuckled. "You, Finn, are a very intelligent person. That is one thing you might look at when you try to revive your race. Most Prum's seem to be on the higher end of the intelligent scale. You do care for you fellow Familia members, but I could see you turning on them if they did something that would harm your quest to be 'the' Prum's hero." I started.
Finn's smile had turned into a frown. "I would not!?" He exclaimed.
I grinned at Finn and nodded my head up and down several time. "It might be as a last resort, but, yes, you would. What you need to do is stop trying to be a fake hero and try to be a real hero. A real hero will do what they feel or deem necessary with NO thought about themselves. A true hero will willingly destroy his own honor and pride to save someone in need, and once their honor is destroyed, they will rise like a phoenix from the ashes of their destroyed honor, and they will come back stronger than ever. 'If' they are a true hero. There is one, up and coming adventurer you should keep an eye on. He is a true hero."
"I did not allow you to come to my home to insult my children!" Loki told me forcefully, half standing up.
Finn had an angry look on his face, but he also looked thoughtful as well.
I smiled at Loki. "I am not insulting anyone. I'm stating what I have seen and observed about your followers. If later my observations prove to be incorrect. I will gladly apologize at that time." I offered. "But if they take my observations to heart and learn from them. They could become stronger and better leaders than they are right now."
Loki sat back down, but she kept looking at me. "Ok, I'll accept that for now." She told me.
"What is the information you have? And what will it cost us?" Riveria asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. "As I said before I want to help save Orario and I would prefer if none of the Loki Familia members or anyone else dies, if the information is used. So there is no cost involved." I told Riveria.
"You fought the plant monsters on the 18th floor. As you know I was there as well." I started.
"Yes, you protected Ais from that red headed monster tamer." Riveria stated.
I nodded my head in agreement. "She is not a monster tamer. Because of her connections to a person calling himself Enyo, she can control any of the plant monsters. That woman's name is Levis and she is a hybrid of human and monster. Ais might have already mentioned that to y'all already." I told them.
"But, who is this Enyo character?" Loki asked.
"Believe it or not, Enyo is Dionysus. If you are willing to talk to Hestia, she will tell you that Dionysus was a strange character even in the upper world." I told them.
"That pip squeak? Why would I talk to her?" Loki asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. "You may not like Hestia, but she did know Dionysus in the upper world. I believe she knew him better than most anyone else, and even though you don't like Hestia, you do know she's not going to lie about something like that." I added.
"It is something to think about." Gareth put in.
"Yes, it is." Finn agreed.
"Even Ouranos doesn't know who Enyo is yet. You have that information before he does." I added.
"Filvis, Dionysus' captain is also known as, Ein. She is another creature like Levis. It happened by accident. When the nightmare on the 27th floor happened, Filvis almost died but somehow a magic stone got imbedded in her chest and revived her be making her a human-monster hybrid. She has a new magic that allows her to make a copy of herself at the cost of halving her magic ability. As far as I know they can't communicate mind to mind, so they don't know what each half is up to at any given time. I would go so far as to say Filvis is the good half and Ein is the bad or evil half." I explained.
"We should keep Filvis away from Lefiya if Eilwyn is correct." Riveria stated.
"Yes, it probably would be a good idea." Finn put in.
"I would allow Filvis to help teach Lefiya to use concurent chanting. But after that It would be a good idea to limit their association." I suggested.
"That was the information, now for the advice." I looked around the table. "My advice is about Ais."
Before I could go any farther Loki cut me off. "What about my Aisuu!?" She demanded.
I chuckled. "You are doing both yourself and Ais a major disservice. Because of who and what Ais is, you are losing a big opportunity." I continued.
"What do you mean I'm doing Ais a disservice? And what do 'you' know about my Aisuu?" Loki asked indignant.
"Ais has 'spirit' blood in her. So, by not allowing her to have a boyfriend or husband, although that can wait three to five years. You are losing the opportunity for her to have children with spirit blood as well." I told Loki.
"How do you know Ais has spirit blood in her, and if so why would her children have spirit blood as well?" Finn asked with his elbows on the table and his fingers steepled in front of his face.
"Ais having spirit blood is just one of those things I know. As for her children having spirit blood, just look at the Crozzo Family before they were cursed. Every new generation had spirit blood in them all the way down to this day. Even if the family is cursed and can't make magic swords anymore, they still have spirit blood in them. Even after all those years and generations. So, Ais's children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and on and on, will have spirit blood in them. If you, Loki, prevent Ais from getting married to who she wants to marry, you will lose out on all of her offspring for generations to come." I explained.
"Hhmmm, maybe." Loki said more to herself than to me.
"I am interested in how you know all of this." Finn said.
"I know some of the future. Not all of it but some of it." I replied.
"Now for the offer or two." I said looking directly at Loki. "You don't like Hestia because of her chest size. Or rather the difference between her chest size and your chest size."
Loki crossed her arms over her chest. "What about it!?" She said sourly.
I raised my hands up in front of myself with one hand a little higher and farther in front of the other hand. I wiggled my fingers up and down. As I did that for show, I increased Loki's bust size to a C-Cup. "Would that make you think twice about being hostile towards Hestia." I asked pointing at Loki's chest.
Loki looked down at her larger than normal bust line with shock and surprise on her face. "What…? How…?" Was all Loki could get out as she looked from her chest to me then back to her chest.
Riveria's eyes went wide when she saw what had happened to Loki's chest.
"Uh!" Finn sucked in air at seeing Loki's chest increase in size. "How it that possible!?" He queried.
Gareth on the other hand, after his initial shock. "Haah haah haah!" He laughed heartily. "Well, you have always wanted them to be bigger." Gareth told Loki.
"How are you able to do that to a god?" Finn asked me.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Don't really know how I am able to do it. I just know I can do it." I replied and turned back to Loki.
"I'm not asking you to be buddy-buddy with Hestia. I'm just asking that you tone down your animosity be 80%." I told Loki.
"And if I don't?" Loki inquired.
I grinned at Loki. "You go back to the way you were." I said and shrugged my shoulders. "It is totally up to you." I added.
"Why would you want me to stop treating Itty Bitty like I have been treating her?"
"Because I joined the Hestia Familia, and I would like the two of you to stop being antagonistic with each other. And if you noticed, I said, both of you, not just you." I added.
"Do you agree to do as I ask to keep your new bust line?" I asked Loki. "I will talk to Hestia to get her to back off as well." I added.
Loki gave me a long look through her squinted eyes for several moments before she nodded her head, yes. "As long as Itty Bitty agrees as well."
I nodded my head in agreement. "That's all I need to hear, although calling Hestia, Itty Bitty doesn't look good. But I would accept you calling her 'Short Stack'." I told Loki with a grin.
"I can live with calling her Short Stack." Loki admitted.
After a moment's pause. I turned and looked at Finn, Gareth then Riveria. "Now for the last offer. What would you think if you could take everything you need into the Dungeon and not have to carry anything with you." I asked.
"That is not possible as you very well know." Finn stated.
"Are you sure…?" I asked and opened a portal to a PD, just inside the fence. I stood up and walked over to the side of the portal. "You can put everything you need in here, then close it up. You will have to carry nothing other than what you need for the moment. Once you're in the Dungeon you open the portal, walk in and get what you need. There is a kitchen that restocks itself every day and will feed fifty people three meals a day. At night everyone can enter the PD, that's short for Pocket Dimension, and close the portal so no monsters can get in. Set up tents and leave them set up permanently. Everyone gets a good night's sleep without having to post guards or worry about monsters. Then open the portal and everyone exits the PD, and they go on their way." I informed them. "And a side note, anyone that is seriously injured can be put in the PD so they can be taken care of without having to be carried out of the Dungeon."
When I opened the PD, I set it up so there was a large kitchen and dining room and large men's and women's bathrooms with showers and Far East style bathtubs. There was also a large patio off of the kitchen. If they buy it, they can set up tents or yurts around the main building to sleep in.
There were two creeks, one on either side of the house, they each flow into separate ponds that are secluded behind hedge rows for privacy. The ponds can be used for bathing as well. The water from the ponds flows on to a beach of a small ocean.
"You can have a tour if you would like to see what is included." I offered.
All four looked at each other for a moment then they each in turn looked at me.
"Why not, yaeh?" Loki said in her usual upbeat, carefree way.
Finn and Riveria walked through the portal first. I followed right after them, and Loki and Gareth followed behind me.
I walked them through the house, although in this PD it is mainly just a kitchen, dining room and bathrooms or locker rooms. I took them out onto the patio. Then I pointed out the bathing ponds and the beach and ocean.
"If you buy it, you can use a pad on the wall by the front door to set up the PD however you want. You can add more trees around the house. You can set the temperature and weather how you want it. And because there is not enough room for everyone to stay in the house you can set up tents in the back yard and just leave them there. Or you could even build bunk houses or cabins and they will stay there until you tear them down." I informed them.
"And as a bonus for you. You can set up the PD close to your kitchen in Twilight Manor and use the PD's pantry for food. That would save you quite a bit of money on food. Accept of course when the PD is being used as a base in the Dungeon that is. You can also plant a garden and an orchard, but they would have to be cared for like any other garden or orchard. They won't take care of themselves. If you set it up by the kitchen, it can be used as a place to go to when the weather outside is rainy or cold as well." I added.
"How much do you want for it?" Finn asked as he looked at me from the corner of his eye.
"Normally it would be 300 million valis, but because of Ais paid me back twice as much as she, Tiona, Tione and Lefiya owed me together. I'll take one hundred million valis from the total. So, it will only be two hundred million valis.
"Are you crazy!?" Loki demanded.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Free food for fifty people for three meals a day, a safe place to stay while in the dungeon. Just go in and shut the portal and no monsters can get in. Plus, it is five miles from the house to the edge of the PD, so you have an area larger than Orario itself to wonder around in, to live in, to farm or whatever else you want to do. Besides if you paid one million valise a month that would only be seventeen years to pay it off. Or if you paid two million valis a month it would only take eight and a half years to pay off." I suggested. "I'm sure you could make either payment with ease."
"If we decide to buy this PD, how will we be able to open it up and close it?" Finn asked.
"There are several different ways that can be set up. I believe the easiest and safest way would to have three of you agree to open the PD and point to the same place at the same time. That would trigger the portal to open. To close the portal from the inside a post could be set up beside where the portal will open, and all you have to do is push a button on the post and the portal closes. To close the portal from the outside would be the same as opening the portal. Three of you agree to close the portal and all three of you point at the portal and it will close. I would set the three of you to be able to open the portal to begin with. And so, you can allow others to open the portal I'll set it so the three of you and Loki have to agree to who else gets to open the portal and then all four of you clasp hands with that person. Then they will be able to open the portal with any two other people that can already open the portal." I suggested. "Although if the portal is left open on the surface, you won't be able to open the portal down in the Dungeon. The portal will have to be closed on the surface, then once you are in the dungeon or anywhere else for that matter, you will be able to open the portal in the new location." I added.
"Will you allow us to talk it over to see if we want to buy this PD from you?" Finn asked.
"Not a problem. For that much money, I would expect you to give it some thought." I replied. "In fact, I will leave the portal open here so you can give it a good looking over to see what you think of it. After twenty-four hours it will close. So, make sure no one is in it at that time. Although I would suggest you don't go talking about it to just anyone."
"That would be good." Riveria said. "How do we contact you if we want to buy it?"
"I'll be back in, five days? To see what your decision is." I offered.
"That should be enough time to decide whether we want to buy it or not." Finn agreed.
I stood up from the table. "I'll see y'all in five days then." I said and turned to leave.
I turned back to the table. "I'll even through in a freebee for everyone, if you buy the PD. It is what I call a personal closet PD. It is like the PD here, but it is only the size of a large closet so you can put personal items in it. It is really convenient in the Dungeon because supporters can carry extra weapons in it, and they can put magic stones and drop items into them without adding any extra weight to be carried." I explained. "If you buy the PD, I'll give every member of the Loki Familia a personal closet PD at no extra charge and I'll even give any future Loki members one as well up to one hundred people." I added to my offer.
I turned back around and walked over to the gate, then on home.
After I arrived back at the run-down church, I talked to Hestia about taking it easier on Loki from now on and why.
==========
My Team and I waited at Central Park to see off the Loki Familia expedition. We agreed to take the day off of Dungeon diving. Because with the Loki expedition going through the upper floors of the Dungeon, we probably wouldn't get as many magic stones. I also wanted to be able to time when I need to go into the Dungeon to help out Bell and Ais.
I'm not going to 'listen in' to everyone in the first group. Especially Tiona. She's like a non-stop chatter box. I'll keep an ear out for Riveria and Finn as well. They are in the first group that will go into the Dungeon and they both will go after Ais who will try to find Bell.
It didn't take very long for the group Ais was in to run into the adventurers running from the Minotaur. I 'watched' where Ais ran to.
I had already talked to my Team about me going into the Dungeon to help Ais get past Ottar. They wanted to go with me, but they understood that having to many observers was not a good idea. I agreed to leave a telepathic link open so they could see and hear what was going on. It would be the next best thing to being there.
"This is it girls. Ais is heading out to help Bell." I told them right before I ported to a secluded spot when Ottar showed himself to Ais. Or rather Ottar blocked Ais's path to get to Bell.
I ported to the passageway behind Ottar, the passage he was guarding to prevent Ais from going down to get to Bell. As soon as I arrived in the Dungeon, I Nullified Freya's ability to use Magic Mirror. Magic Mirror allows the 'gods' to be able to see what the 'children' are doing on Earth. All of the 'gods' can still use Magic Mirror while they are in the lower world, but most don't see any reason to use it. I don't want Freya to be able to see what is happening with Bell while he fights the Minotaur. Which means I will be ruining Freya's 'entertainment'.
As I walked from behind Ottar. "Freya's really pissing me off." I said to the room in general.
"Uh, you!" Ais exclaimed, sucking in air.
Ottar turned to look at me standing off to the side.
I waved Ais forward and on to the passage Ottar was blocking. "Go on and help Bell. Although just make sure you give him a few moments to rest and don't interfere in his fight. Just stand between Bell and the monster for a few moments." I told Ais.
Ottar just glanced at me while keeping his eyes on Ais.
Ais looked at me then to Ottar. She took a couple steps but Ottar moved to block her.
I took a few steps closer to Ottar. "You'll have to fight me before you even think about stopping Ais." I informed Ottar. "Your fellow Familia members either didn't give Freya my warning or she thinks my warning is meaningless. Both are very dangerous things to do. So I'm going to give you a warning to give to Freya. 'Leave Bell Cranel and his Familia alone or suffer my wrath.'" I said as I took another couple steps closer to Ottar.
Before Ottar could do anything, I balled up my fist and swung at Ottar. Ottar brought his sword up to block my attack. For most people this would have worked quite well, but not for me. As my fist struck the sword it shatters into hundreds of pieces. My fist continued and made contact with Ottar's solar plexus. A milli second later Ottar went flying into the Dungeon wall, with Ottar's whole body sinking into the wall.
Again, I motioned for Ais to go on and help Bell.
Ais looked at me for a moment. "He's stronger than the king." She said to herself in amazement as she ran past me.
I looked at where Ottar was embedded in the wall then I snapped my fingers. In doing that I healed Bell. I ported back to the PD in the ruined church the Hestia Familia was living in. I left the rest to Ais.
==========
Go to the Guild to see Eina and Misha.
Several days after we ranked up to Level two, Cindy and I along with Taima and Zala, stopped by the Guild. I didn't want to overwhelm Eina again, so I left the rest of my Team to their own devices. Taima was in her small cat form while Zala was in her lizard form laying across Cindy's shoulders and neck.
Cindy and I tried to go to the Guild at a time there would be very few adventurers around. Walking into the Guild there was only one person other than us in the hall. We walked over to the counter.
Eina and Misha were both at their desks doing some paperwork. "Kuh, kuh." I fake coughed to get Eina's attention.
Eina looked up at the counter. When she saw who it was Eina stood up and walked over to the counter. "Eilwyn, Cinnamon, what brings you here today?" She asked.
"Hi, Eina." Cindy said.
"Hello Eina. I was hoping to talk to you and Misha for a few minutes, if you have the time." I told Eina.
"Me and Misha?" Eina asked looking over at Misha. "Um, I think we could take a few minutes for you."
I nodded my head up and down. "We'll meet you over in the booth." I Told Eina. Cindy and I walked over to the booth and sat down to wait for the two guild workers.
A minute or two later Eina and Misha walked over to the booth we were sitting in.
I stood up." Please have a seat." I offered and motioned to the other bench seat. Once Eina and Misha had sat down, I sat back down as well.
"What do you want to talk to us about?" Eina asked a little confused.
I smiled. "For one. I would like to apologize for freaking you out the other day. We probably should have space out coming in to tell you we had ranked up." I started.
"N-no, that was my fault. I shouldn't have acted that way." Eina apologized.
I shook my head from side to side. "Not your fault."
"We were just so excited about ranking up, we didn't think about how you would take all of us ranking up at the same time." Cindy put in.
"No, no. I should be used to all the strange things that happen to adventurers by now." Eina told us.
"At least until your little brother showed up." Misha told Eina.
"Misha! Stop it!" Eina chided Misha.
I chuckled and Cindy giggled at Misha and Eina.
"And the second thing. I have something for the both of you, and before you say anything. This has nothing to do with trying to get either one of you to go out on a date with me. I'm sure you've both noticed that other than myself, my whole Team is girls. They would kill me if I tried to ask either of you out on a date." I informed Eina and Misha. Although it really wasn't true. If I really wanted to ask either of them out, my Team wouldn't have any problem with it. Other than teasing me about getting more girls for my harem. But I am NOT looking for more girls.
"Then what do you want to give us?" Misha asked with some excitement in her voice.
I chuckled. "This." I said as two fairies flew into the room and over to the booth we were sitting at. Both fairies landed on the table in front of their partner.
"Girls!" I called to the two fairies. "What do you think you are doing, coming in here with no clothes on!" I chastised them.
I pulled out two sets of 'adjustable clothes' and handed them to the fairies. "Get dressed." I told them.
"Wh-what are they? Fairies?" Eina asked. While Misha was looking back and forth between the fairies and me.
"They are known as Companions. I pointed to the Fairy in front of Eina." She's Fuli and she is your Companion, Eina." Then I pointed to the Fairy in front of Misha. "And this one is Nori, and she is your Companion, Misha." I introduced them. "And I should mention that you can talk mind to mind or telepathically with your Companion. They can both talk out loud like we are doing right now, as well.
As I was introducing the Companions to Eina and Misha. They both put on the adjustable clothes I had given them.
"They are ours?" Misha asked with shock and surprise on her face.
"Nori will be with you the rest of your life. As long as you treat her good that is. If you mistreat her or are mean to her most of the time. Then she will leave you. The same goes for Eina and Fuli." I told them.
"Now for a little more information about Companions. Each Companion has different abilities, as in strength, agility, magic, shapeshifting. But whatever abilities the Companion has, their partner, gets those abilities as well. If your Companion can shapeshift, you can shapeshift into the same animals as your companion. They each have six different forms they can shift into. The form you see now is their Fairy forms. But they can take the form of a great cat, a scorpion, an insect, a bird of prey and a winged Manticore. That means both of you," I pointed at Misha then Eina. "Can take on those forms as well. Because of your Companions both of you are around a top level one or a low level two adventurer in strength, agility and durability. And you both can even do some magic. Nothing big, but the spells make somethings convenient or easier for you." I informed them.
Misha and Eina were just sitting there staring at their new Companions.
"H-h-how is this possible!?" Eina demanded.
"That is a long story and a story that I don't understand myself. All I know is I am able to give people Companions if I want to." I replied.
"You might want to take a break and get acquainted with your Companions and learn what they and now you can do." I suggested. "If you have any question, any member of my Team will gladly answer them if we can." I offered as I stood up.
Eina Tulle Automation Name: Fuli/F (To bloom like a flower) Mythical (Winged Manticore/Fairy) (Hawk, Clouded Leopard, Scorpion) Intelligent L2 Strength L2 Agility L2 Durability L2 Regeneration L2 Teleportation L1 Sustenance L2 Elemental Blast L1 (Electricity) Size L2 Magical L2 (Mending, Dancing Lights, Servant, Cleaning, Telekinesis) Flight Shapeshift L1 (Winged Manticore, Clouded Leopard, Hawk, Scorpion, Human, Dragon Fly (Fairy)) Venom L1 (Tail, Paralysis)
Misha Automation Name: Nori/F (Peace, Seaweed) Mythical (Winged Manticore/Fairy) (Hawk, Snow Leopard, Scorpion) Intelligent L2 Strength L2 Agility L2 Durability L2 Regeneration L2 Teleportation L1 Sustenance L2 Elemental Blast L1 (Ice) Size L2 Magical L1 (Dancing Lights, servant, Cleaning) Flight Shapeshift L1 (Winged Manticore, Snow Leopard, Hawk, Scorpion, Human, Butterfly (Fairy)) Venom L1 (Tail, Paralysis)
I Nullified Eina and Misha's ability to shapeshift into a different human form, because it is not necessary for them to be able to take on a different human Form. And as usual, I gave both Companions Physical Enhancement Level 2.
While Eina and Misha were still staring at their new Companions. Cindy and I left the Guild Hall.

When it comes to animated Norwegian movies, how much would you rate the legendary film that is none other than Kurt blir grusom [Kurt turns evil]?
I saw it in the cinema back in 2008 when it first came out and I have to admit I remember absolutely nothing from it 🙈🙈🙈 Watched the trailer for it now and I can just barely remember a few scenes. The only thing that's sticking with me now is the police officer who is from Trøndelag and his random exclamation of just "Rosenborg!" 😭😭😭

Comic about trans men in the health care system I made for magazine Ottar last autumn! Please note that it presents a Swedish perspective unless stated otherwise, as it is mostly based on Swedish studies. I would however argue that it has implications on the state of healthcare for trans people in other places as well. Thank you so much Hedvig for translating this!

Chapter 42
Taking care of some of the ex-Freya members
After Horn left Freya's apartment in Babel Tower, I also left and headed to Folkvangr. It's almost a straight shot from Babel Tower to Folkvangr because Folkvangr is on South Main Street by the city wall. While I was walking to Folkvangr I had plenty of time to think. Not that I arrived an many answers, but then I would have to talk to Hestia before any real decisions could be made. Although we could finish the renovations at Hearthstone Manor now since we have more than enough money.
I mentally looked for the Freya Familia members Ottar had told to stay at Folkvangr. They were getting impatient, so I solved the problem of them leaving. Isolation. I sent to all of them.
On arriving at Folkvangr I walked around outside the fence just to get a look at the place because I have not been here before.
"Taima why don't you see what you can see around the manor while I'm dealing with the seven people still here." I suggested.
"Don't trust me?" Taima said and giggled. "I'll check out what is around the grounds of Folkvangr." She added.
Then I went to the gate where Ottar was standing. "Hello Ottar." I said as he opened the gate to let me in. "Are all the people I want to talk to still here?" I asked.
"Yes, they are. I told them exactly what you told me to tell them. Plus, I suggested they stay, or they would have me to deal with as well." Ottar informed me.
I chuckled. "Thank you Ottar. Would you lead the way to where they are, since I've never been in Folkvangr before." I asked.
"Yes sir, I'll take you to them." Ottar said and turned towards the front door.
As I walk into the living room there are bodies on the floor and some slumped in chairs. There are seven people in the room not counting myself and Ottar.
Ottar looked at all the people laying around. "Are they asleep?" Ottar asked.
"You could say that. I did it to make sure they didn't leave. I'll wake them up in a minute." I told Ottar. "Now if you wouldn't mind going back out and guard the property again and thank you." I added.
Ottar gave a slight bow. "Yes, I'll go back to guarding Folkvangr for you." He said, turned and left.
I looked at those laying around the room. Then I release them from 'Isolation'. All of them jerked then looked around.
I'm guessing someone that has been in 'Isolation' when I remove it, all the stimulation, sight, hearing, touch, returns and is an overload to the person's system for a moment or two. That is why they twitch or jerk when they 'wake up'.
Standing up and staring daggers at me. "Who are you and what are you doing here!?" Allan Fromel a male cat person said with anger in his voice.
I chuckled at Allen, which just made him angrier than he already was. "If you had listened to Ottar you would know the answers to those questions. I'm from the Hestia Familia and I'm here to meet out your punishment." I told Allen and the others.
"We have done nothing to warrant punishment. So, I suggest you leave our home, immediately!" Hedin an elf told me.
Again, I chuckled. "Your assumption is wrong. This is 'my' house now. Freya gave it to me before she disbanded her Familia." I informed Hedin.
Allen started towards me. "I've had enough of you!" He exclaimed.
I smiled and said "Isolation!" Allen dropped to the floor in a heap.
"WHAT DID YOU DO!?" Hedin demanded.
"You do not 'demand' anything of me, Hedin." I told him calmly. "Isolation." I said again and Heden crumpled to the floor. I turned to the others. "So, do you want to try something stupid like they did?" I asked.
Alfrigg, Dvalinn, Berling, Grer and Vanir stared at me wide eyed, and they all shook their heads, no.
"Good choice." I turned to the Gulliver Brothers. "[You cannot see each other, you are totally unable to communicate with each other in any way when you are fighting or right before you start fighting, if the fight involves anyone in the Hestia Familia, the Miach Familia, the Takemikazuchi Familia and/or the Hephaistos Familia. You also have no desire, will or inclination to fight anyone in the afore mentioned Familia's.]" I put an image of everyone in the Hestia, Miach, Hephaistos and Take' Familia into their minds. "[You will do nothing to harm them in any way either directly, indirectly or by way of another person or people. You will never act hostile or violent towards anyone in those Familia's.]" I told the Gulliver brothers and pushed into their minds so they would follow my instructions no matter what. "[You also owe the Hestia Familia fifty million valis each as repayment for damages. It has to be repaid by the end of twenty-four months with equal payments each month.]"
Then I turned to Valir. "[I've seen the future where you kidnap and basically torture one of my fellow Familia members. The only reason you haven't done it now is because I've changed the future. As your punishment for such cruelty and stupidity is, anytime you see any of the Hestia Familia members you will bow down, grovel and proclaim how worthless you are to everyone within ear shot for thirty seconds, and that is each time you see any of them. You will do this for the next three months.]" I pushed into Valir's mind to make sure he would do it. "[During that time and after the three months you will treat everyone in the Hestia Familia friendly. That does not mean they are your friends, just that you will be courteous and polite whenever you see a member of the Hestia Familia. When you are not around the Hestia Familia members you will NOT put them down or talk bad about them in any way. You also will not attack, harm or try to get anyone or anything else to do harm the any member of the Hestia Familia. Plus, you owe the Hestia Familia one hundred million valis. You can pay five million valis every month until it is paid off.]"
I looked at everyone there. I also sent into the minds of those in 'isolation'. "[*You're hate for Bell Cranel is misplaced. Bell did 'nothing' to draw the attention of Freya. You're hate should be towards Freya herself, because 'she' is the one that obsessed over Mr. Cranel. You have proven you are unable to think critically or rationally. You must search out Bell Cranel and appoligize for your crualty, your stupidity and your irrational behaviour. The five of you may gather your belongings and leave.8]" I told them.
The Gulliver brothers and Valir all stood up, bowed to me, picked up their possessions and left Folkvangr.
I looked at Allen and released him from isolation. Allen jerked then looked around for a moment before standing up.
"I would suggest you don't try anything, or you'll find yourself in isolation for a very long time." I told Allen.
Allen stood up straight and looked at me for a moment. Then he walked over to a chair and sat down in it.
I looked at Hedin and released him from isolation as well. Hedin jerked and laid on the floor for a moment or two looking around before he started to get up off the floor.
"If you try something stupid again, you will be in 'isolation for a long, long time." I informed him.
Hedin looked over at Allen sitting calmly in a chair. He walked over to a chair and sat down.
I smiled. "Good choice." I said and nodded my head.
I turned to Allen. "You are an extremely bitter and angry person. You go so far as to walk away from your only remaining relative, Anya. That's sad. As for Freya you want to be as close to her as possible so you can be the only one to receive her 'love'. But sadly, Freya does 'not' love you or any of her followers." I started, but Allen cut me off.
"HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT LADY FREYA LIKE THAT!" Allen yelled and started to get up out of the chair he was sitting in.
I pointed a finger towards Allen. I moved the pointing finger up to the celling then making an abrupt motion and pointed my finger down to the floor and I jabbed my finger towards the chair so Allen could see what I was doing. The whole time I had a smile on my face. This was a simple motion to indicate that Allen should sit back down.
Allen looked at me for a few seconds, then he sat back down in the chair. I nodded my head, yes.
"Just because you don't like to hear something does not mean you should attack the person saying what you don't like. As I was saying… Freya does 'not' love anyone other than herself. Example one; Freya allows her followers to fight virtually to the death, 'everyday'. If she loved you, she would not want to see any of you getting hurt, especially by fellow Familia members of her's. Example two; Freya sends a monster after someone, Bell Cranel, she claims to love, just to watch him cry, run in fear and possibly die. Again, that is 'not' a sign of love. Then she sends another monster after Mr. Cranel that is out of his league, and she laughs about it. How is that love. At no time did Freya take what Bell Cranel wanted into consideration. She did not care that he is devoted to his goddess, Hestia. Freya never thought about what Bell Cranel cared about. She ONLY cares about hurting and torturing Bell Cranel for her own pleasure and enjoyment. Freya obsesses over people; she does NOT love them. If either of you want to hate anyone it should be Freya not Bell Cranel." I tell them.
I could see the anger and fury on their faces. But that didn't matter, they needed to hear and learn the truth about Freya. Both Allen and Hedin were starting to fidget in their seats. They wanted to do something like attack my and hurt me, but they had already seen what I can do and were not sure if they could take me out fast enough to prevent me from stopping them.
"[Now for your punishment. Both of you will never harm in any way, shape, form or fashion anyone in the Hestia, Miach, Hephaistos and/or the Takemikazuchi Familia's. You will never try to get anyone else to hurt them in any way as well. For the next three months any time you see a member of the Hestia Familia you will bow down, grovel and proclaim how worthless you are to everyone within ear shot for fifteen seconds, and that is each time you see any of them. When you are not around the Hestia Familia members you will not put them down or talk bad about them in any way. After the three months you will treat everyone in the Hestia Familia friendly. That does not mean they are your friends, just that you will be courteous and polite whenever you see a member of the Hestia Familia. Plus, you each owe the Hestia Familia fifty million valis. You can pay three million valis every month until it is paid off.]" I told them and pushed into their minds.
I turned to Allen. "[And you, Allen need to go to your sister and apologize to her and ask for forgiveness for walking out of her life. You will live by how she responds to your apology. If she accepts your apology and she agrees, you will keep in touch with her and be friendly or friends with her. If Anya rejects your apology, then you will walk away and leave her alone. Although you can keep an eye on her from a distance to make sure she is safe.]" I tell Allen.
I looked at both Allen and Hedin again. "You can gather your personal belongings and leave." I tell them.
Allen and Hedin picked up what belongings they had gathered before I had arrived and walked out the front door.
Yes, I know I was a little mean or over reactive towards them, but they are hateful, mean and evil people to begin with. They would kill everyone in the Freya Familia if they could get away with it just to be the closest person to Freya. And the real sad and perverse thing is, Freya knew they would do that.
With everyone gone except Ottar and myself. I decided to go to Hearthstone Manor to tell them about what has happened. Then We need to get my Familia and go talk to Take's Familia and Miach about Ouka, Chigusa, Asuka, Daphne and Cassandra guarding Folkvangr for us.
As I left the mansion. "Ottar, while you're guarding the mansion would you please remove any traps and draw a map of where any secret rooms and passages are." I asked Ottar.
Ottar gave a small bow. "I will do as you ask Mr. Tengee." Ottar said and headed to the front door of the mansion.
I turned and started walking back to Hearthstone Mansion. I called Taima and let her know i was leaving. Taima ported to my side as I was walking back home. "It looks like we are going to be spending the next month or so going through Folkvangr collecting all the property and deciding what to do with it all." I thought out loud to myself and heaved a sigh. At lease we would be getting around 35 million valis a month for the next year and a half to two years. That would cover what we don't make by going into the dungeon at least. That's not counting all the valis I received from Freya, which is a LOT more than a couple hundred million valis.
Now I have to tell Hestia and my friends what has happened. "Ha-ha-ha-ha!" I laughed as I headed home with Taima.

¿Ventana o pasillo?
Empezar a desvestirse…
No te preocupes.–Dijo Ilya intentando sonar tranquilo.
–Me gustas mucho, Ilya.
Buenas noches, Ottar.

15 Days of Freyja Devotion
Tumblr media
Day 4: Favorite Myth(s)
One of my favorite myths involving Freyja is from the fragmented poem Hyndluljóð. This is a later poem and probably represents post-Conversion folk beliefs rather than pre-Conversion religious beliefs, but I just really enjoy it.
In this poem, Freyja is trying to help her human lover, Ottar, prove his ancestry so he can claim his inheritance. She asks for help from a volva (a Seer) named Hyndla. The poem is mostly just Hyndla reciting Ottar's ancestors, but the part I love is at the end: Hyndla tries to curse Ottar, and Freyja retaliates by raising flames to burn her.
I think this captures a side of Freyja that isn't well represented in the Eddas, which is her quick temper and her willingness to defend herself and her loved ones. In the Eddas, Freyja is often a side character -- even when she is part of the main conflict, like when a jotun is trying to kidnap her, Thor or one of the other gods is the one to defend her. I like that in Hyndluljóð she defends herself and her lover. I think this shows a fierceness to her that isn't well represented in other sources.
I also love the idea that Freyja is the one who taught Odin seidr. This isn't a myth, but it is something that is referenced in several places in the Poetic Edda. Odin learned the art of prophecy and fateweaving from Freyja. While she may not be the inventor of seidr, she's certainly the one who introduced it to the Aesir.
