bopping idly around on the MCU wiki trying to source something (unfortunately if you’re used to Wook you’re ruined for all fandom wikis ever after) and STEVE AND NATASHA WENT ON A MILKSHAKE DATE?
this is apparently from a tie-in comic called Captain America: Homecoming which I have to find immediately

10ish Things I'll forever be disappointed we didn't get to see on Sons of Anarchy part 2
It starts off heavy but will turn sappy and downright fun by the end. I promise.
Part 1
6. Juice’s back-story.
Tumblr media
What made him? How did the kid from Queens end up in Charming? Who was that girlfriend he kept coming back to? So many questions.
7. Opie finding happiness
Tumblr media
Not following Jax {You know who should've followed Jax that day - Clay. Dammit Pope, if only he reached out to Jax before, I'm sure they could've arranged a lil somethin' somethin' };
Divorcing Lyla;
Getting his Road Captain flash (Let's face it, he was never a VP material), which would suit his nature perfectly AND would give him an excuse to give Bobby shit about his Fat Boy being not road-worthy;
Meeting a nice FUN girl, someone like Cherry or Erin Thomas ( I know, I know) or hell even grown-up Tristan Oswald. Point is a girl, who'd take him and the kids roller-blading and trick or treating and would make the boy freaking laugh.
8. {Which leads us to} The couple that should've happened: Lyla and Chibs
Tumblr media
The set up for them in the second half of season 5 was perfect and after 6.2 I felt robbed - ROBBED - of that story line… *sigh* You cannot tell me these two weren't perfect for each other. Although, if they were to explore a poly relationship with Happy, then who's to stop them?
Sidenote: I also wouldn’t be opposed to seeing some Bobby/Ima dynamic :)
9. Riding just for the fun of it;
Tumblr media
The boys riding to the desert, spending the night under open sky, smoking, drinking and talking. Gangland Undercover had that, why couldn’t SOA men get that…
10. Fights in the ring (after season 1)
Tumblr media
Fight me on this one if you must, but if they utilized that ring to resolve tension more often, they could’ve had their happy ending.
11. Happy's love interest
Tumblr media
I mean, come on:
Tiggy got his OTP, which apparently in this case stands for One True Penis
Chibs had steamy scenes ( even if… ya know… he took the whole fuck the police way to literally)
Even RATBOY somehow ended up with a hot girlfriend. And that’s just season seven, if we dived into more historic shit then we would have to count Piney and the meds dealer and let's not forget Bobby (LeAnn, Precious, Daytona and endless puss shenanigans).
HTF did Happy end up as the group's choir boy?!
12. What became of Tristan Oswald
13. Domestic Life 1% Edition;
Tumblr media
Just imagine:
Tiggy doing midnight ice-cream run for whomever, Juice trying on new jeans at the mall and sending Tig a pic asking for his opinion, Chibs getting a haircut, Happy helping his mom and aunt clean, Chibs worried sick because his semi-feral cat got sick and was an absolute GEMMA at the vet’s office and tried to claw the vet tech’s eyes out, Bobby teaching his oldest to drive, Happy picking Ellie from school when she was having hard time because of bullies, Venus teaching her how to handle those idiots and be a fierce queen, all the boys helping Lyla and the kids move, Tig ordering toys online, family BBQs, Tig being affectionate with Venus during SOA parties...
BONUS:
Because I'm a thirsty broad and I want it all:
Bobby’s and Opie’s kids wrecking havoc together for Halloween
Auntie Venus dropping Abel off at school
Tumblr media
And THAT conversation between Tig and Chibs: “So, Venus is your Old Lady now, huh?” “That from the man who’s taken the phrase ‘fuck the police’ one peep show too far?” “How do you know about that?” “Bro! Quinn’s so traumatized by that, he still cries about it” And Happy chiming in "So, are you guys gonna put your crows on them or what?"
Tumblr media
ETA: Seriously, people. Feel free to comment on any of it

Character ask: Orpheus and Eurydice
This is a good ask for me! My college senior thesis was a comparison of Monteverdi and Gluck's operas based on the Orpheus myth!
Don't expect any comments on Hadestown here, though – I'm not familiar with that musical at all.
Orpheus
Favorite thing about them: His love for Eurydice. A love so strong that he's willing to journey to the Underworld to bring her back, and almost succeeds, except for his act of "too much love" when he looks back at her. The fantasy of being loved that way is hard to resist!
Least favorite thing about them: His misogyny after coming back from the Underworld in some versions of the myth. I don't mind versions where he just avoids women out of faithfulness to Eurydice's memory, but it's all too common to portray him as coming to hate women, either because they all seem so inferior to Eurydice, or because they remind him too much of her, or because he blames Eurydice's feminine charms for causing his misery. And Ovid's claim that in his rejection of women, he became the first man ever to sleep with young boys? Ugh. Just ugh.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I adore music.
*I'm very loving and passionate.
*I can be impulsive.
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm not semi-divine.
*I'm not married.
*I'm female.
Favorite line: His song in Ovid's version of the myth, where he pleads with Hades and Persephone:
"O gods of this world, placed below the earth, to which, all, who are created mortal, descend; if you allow me, and it is lawful, to set aside the fictions of idle tongues, and speak the truth, I have not come here to see dark Tartarus, nor to bind Cerberus, Medusa's child, with his three necks, and snaky hair. My wife is the cause of my journey. A viper, she trod on, diffused its venom into her body, and robbed her of her best years. I longed to be able to accept it, and I do not say I have not tried: Love won. He is a god well known in the world above... I beg you, by these fearful places, by this immense abyss, and the silence of your vast realms, reverse Eurydice’s swift death. All things are destined to be yours, and though we delay a while, sooner or later, we hasten home. Here we are all bound, this is our final abode, and you hold the longest reign over the human race. Eurydice, too, will be yours to command, when she has lived out her fair span of years, to maturity. I ask this benefit as a gift; but, if the fates refuse my wife this kindness, I am determined not to return: you can delight in both our deaths."
brOTP: The shepherds and nymphs who join him in celebrating his marriage and in mourning Eurydice's death in the opera adaptations.
OTP: Eurydice.
nOTP: Hades, Persephone, his mother Calliope, or any of the Maenad women who tore him limb-from-limb.
Random headcanon: His father was the Thracian king Oeagrus. Or to be exact, I prefer the version of the myth where Oeagrus is his father to the version where Apollo is his father. It's generally agreed that his mother is the muse Calliope. So if his parents are a god and goddess, why is he a mortal? Doesn't it stand to reason that he should have one mortal parent?
Unpopular opinion: I get slightly tired of seeing people quote Portrait of a Lady on Fire to explain why he looks back at Eurydice, claiming that he makes "the poet's choice" (i.e. that he chooses his idealized memory of Eurydice, which he can fully possess and which can inspire his art forever, rather than face an uncertain future with a living woman). That's a fascinating interpretation of his backward glance, but it's not the "true" meaning of the myth. There is no single "true" meaning. Different retellings have interpreted his backward glance as excessive passion and a lack of self-control, or as a fatal lack of faith in either Hades, Eurydice, or himself, or as an act of concern for Eurydice which shows that Hades' command was inhumane, or as a commentary on the nature of grief (i.e. that we can't help but look back at our memories), or simply as inevitable because death can't be reversed. All of those interpretations, and others too, are just as valid as "the poet's choice." That's part of the beauty of mythology: it has so many possible meanings.
Song I associate with them:
"Vi ricorda, o bosch'ombrosi" from Monteverdi's opera L'Orfeo.
youtube
"Possente spirito," also from Monteverdi's opera.
youtube
"Chiamo il mio ben cosí" from Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice.
youtube
"Che farò senza Euridice?" from Gluck's opera.
youtube
Favorite picture of them:
Orpheus' Sorrow by Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret:
Tumblr media
Orpheus' Lament by Alexandre Séon:
Tumblr media
And this illustration from D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths:
Tumblr media
For other pictures that show him with Eurydice, see below.
Eurydice
Favorite thing about them: A woman who inspires a love that almost conquers death itself is a fascinating character, and I enjoy seeing the different ways she's characterized in different retellings of the myth and other works inspired by it. When the same mythical figure loosely inspires such different characters as innocent, girlish Pamina in The Magic Flute and seductive, jaded Satine in Moulin Rouge!, then you know (a) that she's not the most fleshed-out character, but (b) that her very "flatness" makes her a wellspring of creative ideas for authors and artists who retell the story.
Least favorite thing about them: She's not very likable in Gluck's opera Orfeo ed Euridice, where she doesn't know that Orpheus can't look back at her, assumes he must not love her anymore, and hounds him into finally looking back. I'm glad that only happens in one adaptation and she isn't always like that.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I'm loving and affectionate.
*I find good singers very attractive.
*I enjoy walking in nature (preferably with no snakes in the grass).
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm not married.
*I'm not as captivatingly beautiful as she's traditionally portrayed.
*I'm still alive.
Favorite line: Her lament in Virgil's version of the myth as she drifts back into the Underworld.
"Orpheus, what madness has destroyed my wretched self, and you? See, the cruel Fates recall me, and sleep hides my swimming eyes. Farewell, now: I am taken, wrapped round by vast night, stretching out to you, alas, hands no longer yours."
brOTP: Her nymph companions, such as Daphne in Peri's opera adaptation or Sylvia in Monteverdi's.
OTP: Orpheus.
nOTP: Aristaeus, who tries to rape her in Virgil's version of the myth, leading to her death as she steps on a snake while running from him.
Random headcanon: When Orpheus was killed and his spirit went to the Elysian Fields, the judges in the Underworld debated whether Eurydice should join him there or stay in the Asphodel Meadows with the other ordinary, non-heroic souls. Ultimately, they chose to send her to Elysium, both because it would have been too cruel to Orpheus not to reunite them, and because after Eurydice's second chance to live was snatched away from her, she deserved to at least spend her afterlife in paradise.
Unpopular opinion: I'd like to see at least one retelling of the myth that portrays the legendary philosopher-poet Musaeus of Athens as Orpheus's son (as one Greek historian claimed he was, though others disagreed), and portrayed Eurydice as his mother. Giving them a child could add even more weight to the tragedy.
Song I associate with them:
"Cet asil aimable et tranquille," from Orphée et Eurydice, the expanded French version of Gluck's opera.
youtube
"Che fiero momento," also from Gluck's opera.
youtube

Would that be possible one day to share more of your thoughts and headcanons about Annalise and the King ?
I only know a handful of people with ideas on them (a shame because there’s so much potential !) And recently it made me think about that post you made about them some time ago.  It might have influence me a bit to much as well.
Hey! Thank you for the ask! I believe you are referring to this ( x ) post, in which I focused specifically on the dynamic between the two, but yes I do have more stuff to say! I believe that since I talked about relationship itself in previous post, this time it will be fair to share ideas on each individually, however before I also want to notice that whereas I am woefully bad at having 'OTPs' as I jiggle too many timelines and ideas in my head all the time, this ship is my next closest thing to an OTP so far <:3 Even if Annaliese somehow was to find new love and was happy, the king would still remain 'the one' in her eyes. And, yes, NO cursed ritual marriages ever again! Only normal one, if at all.
Tumblr media
The last time I talked about him, I was yet to pick a name for him besides just Cain-number-noone's-counting, but you can see it is sorta fixed now! I am doodling face references like this for myself to have faster time drawing faces, and had him drawn already, but it took me some time to find higher resolution of the portrait I am basing Elias' appearance of! So I've noticed he seems to have asymmetrical eyebrows, his right eye semi-closed and scratches on his forehead! Not saying eye thing can't be just resolution issue, and not saying scratches can't be picture ITSELF cracking from ages, but my general rule as an artist is - if I can pass something as 'imperfection' of appearance then I will! As I like having more things to draw, heh. I do not have an idea about how he got scars on his forehead yet however, but maybe the trauma is connected to what hurt his eye? In either case, on portraits he probably always shows his left side as a result.
Also, interesting thing is that clothes on his portrait resemble those of a cut enemy known as King Ghost Low-class! There is a similar enemy known as King in Blue, and he has different model! I learned about the difference from fanon wikia, that has page for King Ghost here ( x ) and for King in Blue here ( x ), and also from Lance McDonald in this ( x ) video where King Ghost is shown in the 4:24 - 6:33 frame and King in Blue is shown in the 6:34 - 8:49 frame! I thrown some references for how I will draw Elias in this pile below (also featuring picture from that super long model showcase video from Sinclair Lore ( x ) and detailed picture from this ( x ) tweet)
Tumblr media
I headcanon that after unholy marriage ritual with Annalise that ultimately helps to conceive the blood child, Elias would sort of burst from his previous body into new form and look much more resembling this silver haired man impression cut content had! You can also notice that this enemy has three variants - with short sword and a shield, with a lance and a shield, and with short sword and a sphere! I headcanon that past the ritual, Elias has 'phantoms', kinda like Brador, except three instead of four and they'd attack with different weapons just like these variants! And like how Brador's phantoms look like his former self (when he is younger and with one horn on the hyde isn't broken), Elias' phantoms likewise look like his previous self and wear his former clothes! Meanwhile, real Elias now has what King in Blue wears:
Tumblr media
Elias is one of like, two historically known crowned 'kings of blood' (not JUST kings of this line) that didn't turn into screeching tortured mess and died shortly after the ritual was complete! In fact, he remained ALMOST sane - however, the curse now tangled with him is very intense. The many colorful beads he wears later are charms that if removed will subject him for being tormented by Frenzy coming from within, as opposed to some Kin biting him or peering into a giant brain! If Bloodborne was an anime, in the final stage of battling Rogeriusz (Logarius), he would tear these charms off and jump from the tall roof of Cainhurst - only to fly back with Frenzy spears forming from his back and working like wings! Real vampire king moment, haha. And, he could use them as arrows to shoot from a bow conjured from blood magic! I should draw this scene someday..
There is another interesting bit, by the way.
Tumblr media
You might notice that the statue that GOTTA be that of Rogeriusz has more or less typical Executioner outfit (if only heavier, more wizard-like than hunter-like)! That doesn't line up with what he is wearing when we find him, now does it? Besides he uses some 'cursed' magic, that whereas he indeed gotta be a Pthumerian himself, doesn't really fit a fanatical servant of the Healing Church? That made me think he didn't just sit on the throne for like 30 years but had to interact with Cainhurst more or less!
I decided that by murdering Elias/Cain, he became more like an 'amalgam' with his wrathful spirit. Elias' dying wills (blood echoes) are too strong to just perish, as not only he is carrying a link to a powerful "curse" but is a high ranking vileblood that must have immortal conscious like Annalise (and like Queen Yharnam)! Will of Rogeriusz is somewhat stronger and hence this person is still identified as just himself, but ghost of Elias lives in and tortured him from within, and things have changed. He has to wear the charms of colorful gems now too, as you can see! However, the amalgam fights more or less in harmony when the paleblood hunter approaches the throne. Rogeriusz wants to guard the secret he discovered (aka festered animosity between Church and Cainhurst having political advantage underneath and massacre being a ploy to obtain Great One's cord AND Laurence himself having arrived from Cainhurst), but Elias has reason to fear hunter is in to harm Annalise.
In other times, however…..
Tumblr media
I believe had it been anyone else to kill Rogeriusz - they'd undoubtedly inherit the cursed spirit of Elias, and would probably lack blind fanatism of Rogeriusz that allowed him to persist, too! But I have means to headcanon that the paleblood moon effect repels the 'cursed' magic of Cainhurst and Pthumeru Ihyll likevice, so he would not be able to do anything to a paleblood hunter! In general, this line and the Kin of Moon are antagonistic by design; blood children are Amygdalas, opposites of celestial larvae and Ebrietas! Like demons and angels. After all, their connection with the 'moon' is something Annalise recognises as well:
Tumblr media
I described the theory in this ( x ) post before, but TLDR; Annalise's hair lost all melanin as result of (almost) birthing a Great One, like what happened with Arianna, and the cord used to create Hunter's Dream was from her aborted baby, that was very close to being born though. Her face underneath this mask is distorted now - I headcanon that for the same reason Flora has her face the way it is, as her child was ripped from her guts before it was born! But it is not just that Annalise now looks 'scary'.
Since her own mask strongly resembles what her guardians wear, I presume the mask additionally serves to connect her with the guards telepathically more (or rather, see through their eyes and 'help' them). Like how Choir can still see even in their blindfold caps but only where 'stars' guide them, and like how Executioners can still see even through Gold Ardeo (and bag that keeps it) guided by ingrained quest for 'purity', guards have their ways around a headgear that is SUPPOSED to make them blinded too. And 'solitary' within the mask means absence of this connection for a long, long while.
I believe that she refers to you as the only 'blood relative' left in relevance to consuming her blood specifically - something that can run out its effect! Because if she means family - at least Maria still exists in spirit (that should be enough for vilebloods that transcend mortality), and if she means servants - Crow of Cainhurst still exists, right? Crow is still loyal to her in his insanity (still collecting blood dregs for her that he can't even deliver her), but he hasn't consumed her blood for years, so the telepathic bond between them is broken. Annalise has this bond with those in whom her "impurity" runs active, though! However our hunter would not be able to feel the true effect because… you know, paleblood moon block. They feel only a warming 'presence' rather than full connection - to the better possibly, as the latter tends to become addicting. I mean just look at Crow not being able to get over serving her decades later :')
Tumblr media
I drew her portrait with her hair down, more like her hairstyle on concept art rather than hairbun from THE portrait! I believe this is the same dress minus the decor and jewellery, but sleeves of this dress had to be trimmed to keep her forearms free - she is supposed to share the blood from her veins without anything getting on the way! Though I believe her cuts heal within matter of seconds, and as long as her form persists, her blood seems to be endless. No such thing as dying from blood loss possible!
She had strong pride and dignity since childhood, that nobody had to teach her, but she showed the potential of a true royal this way. I already explained how her personality meshes with more mellow Elias' one in other post, yeah. I think when Alfred confronted her, she did not resist, basing it on how she won't let some maddened, barbarian boy force her to struggle or fear! She had not all that much to fear either with her consciousness being immortal, basically gave him the "a serpent never dies" attitude AND was right; I think the reason Alfred minecrafted himself had to do with her vengeful spirit! I talked about mysteries paleblood hunter could hold a few times now, but Alfred is only a normal human, you know? It is still a valid idea that Alfred only held on his noble quest and had nothing to live for once it was complete, but in my version he was sound with the idea of letting ideas of Rogeriusz live on through him and still hunt the beasts! I think based on his summon location he was also VERY interested in cleansing Old Yharnam.
…until after killing Annalise, he quickly ended with such intense dread, perceiving cursed knowledge he was not prepared for but that she casually juggled for decades in her solitude, and he just did not see a way to live like this. So he is dead on altar for Rogeriusz more as clinging to the only person/idea that brought him comfort, rather than coming to complete his quest. Basically, unless you are already connected to the divine that 'protects' you - never touch a current active blood queen! There was a good reason Executioners only messed with her baby and didn't kill her self. Alfred would know that if he loredigged more responsibly :(
That said, Annalise often lucid dreams, which in BB lore is as good as astral projection. She sometimes tries to reach Maria in her trance, but it never avails her anything - every time she is met with strong sea waves beating her away. When she is asleep, she could occasionally communicate with ones like Patches, that she finds mildly entertaining! She is aware of Micolash too and could communicate with him too, when he is willing to distract from research and Kos - it would be hypocritical to judge him, as she allowed the person she loved to take on nearly suicidal ritual and continues the ancient legacy heavily reliant on sacrifices and cursed rituals and necromancy. Well, at least, intended to, before Healing Church ruined everything. But, she thinks they share some things in common.
Also it is hard to not notice that she refers herself and her clan as 'unholy' and 'impure' etc, but that is less so internalised attitude induced by Healing Church - it has further roots in Pthumerian history that she is well educated on. Annalise is not the type to feel ashamed just because the moon presence governing this world decided ones like her "sinful"; she refers to her as impure in the same vein as people reclaiming slurs addressed to them or something like that! Iosefka and the imposter, on the other hand…..? Annalise is well aware of how hard they fell for the fear and prospect of being 'saved from natural depravity' (especially the imposter). If they were to return and beg her forgiveness for trading their legacy for agenda for Healing Church, and 'stars and moon' if you look further - she'd accept on the terms that they make their existence within the castle impossible for her to acknowledge. She oddly combines practical inability to forgive breaking her trust and accepting people searching for the right way no matter how many mistakes they make. Like, 'it is valid you realised, but first I'll be mad at you for 100 years' ahaha
___________
Alllllright, you aren't asleep yet? xD
This has been a lore and details lecture for quite a while ahaha; I tried to focus more on that, but I hope that the reply was at least somewhat entertaining! Thank you for letting me talk about these characters though! :) And I agree with you, I am rather surprised the vampire queen did not get more popular? But, yeah, if you found any of this useful, feel free to take inspiration!

7 questions: Charlie Beeston from Emily Windsnap
three facts about them from my personal headcanons
Based on my headcanon that Beeston used to be a siren:
He was about Emily's age the first time he grew legs. Probably felt really weird and awkward for him. Just fits perfectly with how similar these 2 characters are! Based partly on @orithereticent 's headcanon.
Also as a young man he was Neptune's only male siren. Because Neptune trusts him that much. Beeston has this way of charming people and luring them into a false sense of security. Which he uses to his full advantage, to earn positions of power. As Brightport's lighthouse keeper, and Chairman of the Board, and much more. Plus his mom used to be a siren. He had definitely had the skills, and probably the good looks for it in his youth. Maybe a good singing voice too.
When Mr. Beeston grew too old to be a siren, he began training Jake to take over his siren job. Which is probably how Jake and Mr. Beeston met. So imagine how Beeston must've felt, learning the merman he taught to lure humans to their doom, has instead rescued and fell in love with one. Based partly on @kisari-v 's headcanon.
a reason they suck
Everything he'd done in Book 1.
a reason they are great
His redemption arc. It was so gradual and just so heartwarming! Book 1 starts with him being a cold uncaring man who ruins people's lives, then ends with him feeling incredible guilty for it. As he should. Granted he was working for King Neptune hence he couldn't say no. I think what made him awful is him showing 0 remorse until the very end. Book 3 ends with him and Emily JUST STARTING to try forgiving each other. Book 4 has him offer a much-needed genuine apology for everything he's done, and starts helping out of the kindness of his heart, not because he's just following orders. Ultimately Book 4 the first time he makes his own choices. Book 5 has him finally earn Emily's trust and forgiveness.
All this makes him one of my favorite characters in the series. a reason I relate to them
I love donuts! (what I consider to be) the top tier otp/ot3 for that character
Hmmm hard question. Mr. Beeston never has a love interest, nor has he shown any romantic feelings towards anyone. Given how loyal he is to the merfolk species, maybe someday he'll settle down with a nice mermaid or merman. Probably someone in King Neptune's court. five things that never happened to that character that I believe should have happened
He deserves a prequel.
Would love to see him and Jake work together, rather than just be told about it. We're told they used to be friends, so would love to see how and if they're still friends in the present timeline. Honestly I get a feeling that they're not. Despite working together.
Would love to see Emily sneak into his lighthouse at some point. Or look into his window or something like that. Because I always wondered what it looks like on the inside.
After Book 4, he should eventually show off his merman tail to Brightport. Would he do it the same way Emily showed her tail to everyone?
Would love to see how being a semi-mer affected his sense of belonging in Brightport. We're told he felt like an outcast in among the merfolk for it, did he feel the same way with humans in Brightport? Did he feel just as much an outcast in Brightport? Or did he feel more accepted in Brightport as humans there welcomed him with open arms? I think the only way to answer that, would be a story from his POV.
five people that character never fell in love with and why
King Neptune. Maybe a one-sided romance on Beeston's part.
Mary P. (too big of an age gap, and too much bad blood)
Jake (too big of an age gap, and too much bad blood)
Archie (too many conflicts of interest, they have the same boss)
Mystic Millie (again too big an age gap, also because he's much more grounded in reality than she is)

21 33 48 for the fanfiction ask, please? ^w^ thankyou!
Of course!
21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?
Oh gosh, where do I start?
Possibilist, the author of some of my absolute favorite Faberry (Quinn Fabray/Rachel Berry from Glee) fanfiction, is one of my biggest inspirations as far as prose and utilization of language goes.
Francesca Lia Block has a similarly sumptuous command of the English language. The sheer imagery crafted by her choice of words is decadent, hypnotic, and awe-inspiring.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Margery Hamilton's works (The Little Prince and The Velveteen Rabbit, respectively) possess a beautiful wisdom and melancholy sort of magic that grip my heart in a vise every time I revisit them.
As far as Barlyle (Phineas Taylor Barnum/Phillip Carlye, my OTP of OTPs) stories go, there's--
SilverLynxx, for her enviable lexicon.
BuddysImpala, for her sheer dedication and the number of creative and vastly different fics she was able to turn out.
Schizanthus, for running an amazing blog while also being a human thesaurus and dictionary, and the best proofreader a writer could ask for.
The_Girl_Who_Got_Tired_of_Waiting; a truly wonderful friend and imaginative storyteller with an incredible grasp on these characters whom I fervently wish had the time to write more.
And, I can't forget jackpip and Vudonn and gay_jeans and wolfzaa and Kibbers and so many others who made the Barlyle fanfiction landscape the magical place it was during its heyday.
There's also hollycomb with her cozy, down to earth style of fic-writing. Under the Table and Dreaming is far and away my favorite in her catalogue.
And, before this answer completely gets away from me, as it's already begun to, I would be remiss if I didn't include DutchXFan for the indescribable charm and carved-irreparably-into-my-soul candid rawness of her work Once Upon a Time, and The_Blonde who, despite writing Real Person Shipping fics, possesses the uncanny ability to draw me into every universe they create and leave me utterly spellbound and earnestly devouring every word. just once to be lifted strong and i'm half-doomed and you're semi-sweet are two sublime examples that I highly, highly, highly recommend giving a read if you can surpass the ick factor of them featuring a cast of real people as the central characters. The world-building, alone, is absolutely exemplary.
33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?
From BuddysImpala on my massive Phillip Has Major Depressive Disorder fic, just a dead man walking:
"Me? Finishing this fic at 3:40 in the morning, against my better judgement?
It’s more likely than you think!
This fic is heartbreaking and wonderful all at once. There are some legitimately published works that don’t invoke as much emotion from me as this fic those, and I love absolutely every single word. Bless you for choosing to grace us with it two years ago — it’s writers like you in the fandom that have solidified Barlyle as my OTP to end all other OTPs. I am not going anywhere.
Bless you. ❤️"
Oh, that's just my heart-- swelling so much it's got caught in my throat.
48) What’s your favourite trope to write?
Hurt/Comfort. I'm an absolute sucker for the sense of catharsis that comes from characters looking after one another and slowly but surely healing in the wake of trauma.
---
Thank you very much for asking.

Age? I'm thinking like 15-18 based on your maturity level, but everyone knows you get some weird af Fandom parents so maybe you're like 30+ 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m perfectly fine with admitting my age if you’re curious. :) I’ll be turning 30 this Fall if I’m being honest. But I’m honestly not sure what my maturity level is. I don’t quite act the same online as I do irl is all I know. I’m much more reserved and quiet irl. But! I DO have a diagnosis for a form of autism that used to be called Asperger’s Syndrome. So if anyone wants to point and call me autistic for any reason, well, they’re not wrong. I’ve been into Harry Potter since the first books were printed on US shores (so didn’t know about it during the initial British release obv) and although I disagree with Rowling’s social media comments, that’s not about to make me give up something that brought me so many good memories growing up if that’s what these anons are all about. I can and will support my LGBTQ+ and Trans friends while still enjoying the things I like and no one can stop me.
And since I know you noticed my blog theme, let me just say… the Beetlejuice cartoon was still on the air when I was four years old and yes, I loved watching it at that age. I remember wishing I was Lydia because four year old me thought Lydia was a lot older than she actually was (I had a hard time telling ages) and four year old me also thought the way Beej made her laugh and smile so much made for the ideal “Prince Charming”. So I’ve been into this OTP since I was a toddler. Of course, when I got older and revisited it, I did realize she was underaged in the cartoon and I did stop shipping the OTP with her like that because of it. But that hasn’t stopped me from thinking they’d make a cute adult pair and my banner is from an AU where Adult BeetleBabes had kids and the kids got stuck in a time travel conundrum because I wanted to see if I could make them look like they were part of original screenshots from the cartoon.
In fact, I’m gonna pin this on my blog here. This will be the last semi sus anon that I’ll be responding to.

What’s your top 5 favorite Rollisi moments?
I apologize, as this ask was sent days ago and I'm just now getting around to it because ya know, life, and because I took my sweet time thinking over these scenes.
It's a long one, under the cut!
1. The Scene (the kiss). This kiss has everything. It’s unexpected yet long overdue. It’s tender, it’s loving. There’s swaying. There’s standing on tip toes to reach Tol and there’s bending down to reach Smol. There’s water, city lights, a romantic atmosphere. There's tears (barely) but it's an excuse to touch faces! There's cheek caressing, there's longing, lingering stares, there's hesitance in transitioning from best friends to lovers. Light banter, nervous laughter. THE UNFINISHED SPEECH. I know I'm all over the place with this but SO ARE MY FEELINGS. So much has led up to this moment and I must say, the payoff was excellent. Perfect first kiss.
2. The Fight. Dare I name the one fight they got in that caused them to be labeled “toxic” by haters? I do dare. Why, one may ask? *shakes out piece of paper* Though they are fueled by their lack of sleep and unsaid feelings for each other at the time, there’s still some bite to Amanda’s bark on her part. She’s clearly upset over him leaving her, feels abandoned. Perhaps this is a feeling she’s used to from her own family trauma, but Carisi leaving the precinct particularly hurt not only because she has strong feelings for him at this point, but because he was the only one that ever was there for her in a way no one else was. I think she came to rely on him more than she may have even realized and that all spilled out in that small fight in the squad room. And he was so taken aback, obviously thought she was happy for him but of course she’s going to tell him she is because she doesn’t want to hurt him. The fight is so natural, happens unexpectedly but develops organically. The main reason it’s my number two? Giddish and Scanavino’s best acting, imo. And I’ve only seen the actual scene about three times because it makes me semi uncomfortable. It’s uncomfortable watching people argue. It was so intimate and clearly turned personal, it almost feels wrong to be watching them go at it (in a bad way. Heh). But I think that’s a testament to the acting! A+++ scene! I dream of writing a fight scene as well as this one!
3. The Hospital. Truly, this episode was packed with Rollisi moments from start to finish. I love every moment we get with them individually (hand grab, anyone? Or when he makes her LAUGH at such an emotional moment in the hospital. I could go on about this scene in detail but I’ll stop). My favorite moment of the episode is actually the last scene of them. After Rollins gets rid of her father's (ex) wife, she’s so proud of herself for doing what she feels is right and that reflects in her face when she smiles at Carisi. It’s so simple and subtle, but there’s so much love in that look. Kelli is a master at giving these loving looks and perfect expressions. It’s also a wonderful contrast to how she used to look at Carisi in the beginning - from season 16, when she thought he was a bit of a goof. Now she looks at him like he hung the got damn moon. We don't get to see Carisi's face here, but I imagine he's looking quite amused at her, maybe even charmed by her a little bit. I'm also obsessed with the way Amanda's eyelashes flutter down when he moves closer to her. Flirting over Amanda's bedridden father? The ✨romance!✨ Swoon!
4. The Elevator. This used to be number one for me, until we got the goodness in season 22. There’s something very special about this hug. It’s not even a hug, really. It’s clinging, desperate, need that one particular person and only this person kind of thing. It’s, of course, devastating that Rollins had to go through the whole thing with Bucci and possibly leaving her children without a mother, but like I said, something special about the way this led to letting the audience see who she really trusts as she let’s herself fall apart and into Carisi’s arms. Sure, she trusts her squad, but she also wants them to know she’s ok at all times. Even tells her own therapist this once or twice. She even *begins* to tell Carisi she’s fine, her usual response when asked if she’s alright, but then the second he says her name, it’s like a switch is flicked and she’s sobbing into him. DON’T THINK I FORGOT ABOUT SCANAVINO. He’s always there when she needs it. He’s patient with her, kind, takes her into him with absolutely no hesitation. This scene happens episodes after their fight in the squad room. It’s clear there is no more lingering tension between them in the elevator scene. It’s the way he says “I got you” not once but TWICE, as if he needs her to hear it. Needs to make sure she understands that he’s there not just in the moment, but he’s got her always. No matter what happens between them or with their jobs — and this comes back around in his wedding speech, as well. 🤧 But also, fave part of that scene? When he holds her tighter, leans his head against hers many times, and then closes his eyes. Cannot stand to hear her sobs, or see her in any kind of pain. Oh, my heart. My heaaaaaaart.
5. Rain check. Lots of great acting here. Is anyone surprised? No, but there’s a bit of a range of emotions in this particular scene and it’s acted so beautifully, I could write a whole paper. I’ll try and keep it brief (ha, yeah right). I don’t think Amanda would ever have a problem getting a man anytime anywhere, but I do think it was a big deal for her to ask this man out. I think maybe her intentions at the time may have been less than trying for a relationship, but she was open to trying something with him. I also think it was a big deal because it felt very planned. The outfit felt planned, the way she made him laugh, the hair toss an attempt to flirt. Though she also had this vulnerability about her that only exists with him. She’s putting herself out there, she’s saying that she’s willing to try and I think that is a big step for her, even if she was only open to a FWB situation (that totally 100% wouldn’t have worked bc *feelings*). Carisi, however, rejects her. You can see in his face that he’s so reluctant to do this but he does. Obviously, he’s had feelings for the woman for so long but is protecting himself. Almost like he knows she may think she’s ready to try something with him, but he also knew it wasn’t their time yet. Also, after he tells her he can’t, the immediate disappointment Amanda has? Heart-wrenching, tbh. She looks so upset and gets off from sitting on the edge of his desk so fast. Like. BABYYYYY.
Honorable Mentions: Threats! I’m kind of cheating here, but there’s nothing like an OTP that will kill for the other. I’m -of course- talking about Carisi’s “if Rollins gets shot over this, I’m gonna take ALL of them out.” And also Amanda’s message to Mesner: “if you go after Counselor Carisi or anyone in my family again, it will be your last day on earth. I’ll kill you myself.” Ooh, there’s something so secks see about being violently protective over your significant other. I don’t condone it irl, but let me have the ✨drama✨on tv.
Thank you for this question! I had fun going over some great scenes!

i know that philippe de chandon was definitely a Choice on the part of yeston/kopit phantom, but you gotta admire them for fully committing to the concept. because it isn't even the typical "ok, there are too many characters in the novel to fit in a 2-hour play, so let’s blend raoul and his brother together in order to cut down on actors we’ll need to find screentime for," no, instead they fully went with an alternate universe where christine's love interest is philippe and not raoul.
which is so funny to me because it seems like one of those ships someone in the phandom would come up with semi-jokingly, you know what i mean? like "hey guys, i think philippe/christine is the new otp. you just know he was secretly in love with her" and then it becomes a phandom meme for a couple weeks. except that this is an actual adaptation. and its great because they really got into the whole thing. like, yk!philippe is exactly what i think leroux!philippe would have been if he a) was 20 years younger and b) didn’t have 3 younger siblings to act as legal/financial guardian to. this guy is philippe de chagny, free of cares, falling in love with opera girls and charming theater administrators and generally living his best life. good for him! he deserves to be 1/2 of a crackship with an entire real adaptation centered around it! good for him!!
