if you dont mind sharing, what are some of your favorite ska songs/bands?
I will admit I am not a huge band person I tend to be more of a "pick whatever random songs sound good" person, so I can't recommend any good bands. I also listen to Ska Punk, which is a subgenre of Ska... and Punk. So I am not a good authority on Ska songs to listen to I am just someone who is banned from being passed the aux cord...
But some of my favorite songs include:
No Children - Ska (cover)
Quinto Patio Ska
Everything Went Numb
S F D D
And songs by Reel Big Fish tbh. I know I just said I don't listen to specific bands but Reel Big Fish has some pretty good songs like...
Sell Out
And their Take on Me cover
Here's my disclaimer, though: I am not into music subcultures I just listen to whatever sounds good (and jazzy punk with horns sounds good), so I could be giving absolutely awful music recommendations that anyone who is especially into Ska (and more specifically Ska Punk) might find egregious. I personally just grab whatever song sounds good and add them to my forever long playlist.
Also the Jabberjaw (Running Underwater) song from Pain used for the Cartoon Network Boomerang Groovies is probably the reason I enjoy Ska punk so much, and it has been in my playlist for years now:
If nothing else in this list interests you, I require everyone by law to listen to Jabberjaw Running Under Water by pain and watch the Cartoon Network Boomerang Groovie video of it. I used to watch Boomerang a million times, and this was probably the only Groovie I really enjoyed watching and didn't go to the bathroom during.

Brendan Fraser's The Mummy movie: The male lead is skilled af but the female is smart and just as cool, they are a cool team, there are side characters who are helpful too, we make sure everyone is involved and we give everyone respectful amount screen time and everyone is important for the movie's plot. The Mummy is evil but he's interesting, he is respected as a great villain and it takes a lot of characters to defeat him cuz that's realistic. The movie is a fun chilly timeless classic.
Tom Cruise's The Mummy movie: Tom Cruise does everything, Tom Cruise saves everything on his own, he's a hero, he's a God, he's better than you and the other characters are here what for?

So the wiki also includes shit from Hartman's like youtube channel and whatnot. I don't consider anything not explicitly stated within the show to be canon (and even some things in the show *side eyes Phantom Planet*), so I'm just ignoring all that shit.
Also the insane amount of typos and grammatical weirdness in the Danny Phantom Wiki do not exactly instill confidence in the legitimacy of the information provided.
Anyway, this is just a roundabout way for me to say that I don't consider anything off Hartman's youtube channel, or out of those comics that I've literally only been able to find one of in it's entirety, to be canon.
And Danny Phantom is not exclusive to this belief; if it's pertinent to the plot but you don't put it within the main canon media (so the book/show/movie/game/whatever) then it's not actually canon and you're just a bad writer. Word of God is not canon; if "God" wanted me to know a certain canon fact, then "God" should have put it in the canon.
I should not have to scour your youtube channel or twitter account to understand what the fuck is going on in your story; the story should provide me with that information. The only things that should be exclusive to an external account are shit that's interesting to know but doesn't/wouldn't impact the plot or characters in any tangible way.

Like maybe I just don't have enough money and power to be incentivized to do the completely morally bankrupt thing, but if I were a politician in my senior years and inching closer to the grave I would be conducting myself as if I'd either be answering to my maker very soon OR having to contend with how I lived up to my morals on my deathbed before my final moments.

This isn't trash enough for my trash blog, so I'm gonna post it here:
I wonder if a story drawing parallels between transitioning into Healing and undergoing HRT could work in some capacity.
I don't fully know how HRT works, so maybe they're too different. I dunno.

just read an entire chapter in which le procureur du roi monsieur de villefort, who's freaking out because the count of monte-cristo somehow knows about his lovechild who he tried to bury alive in his in-laws' backyard twenty years ago, asks around for info about the count and is told that the people who know the most about him are l'abbé busoni and lord wilmore. you know. two of dantès's other personas. so then the rest of the chapter is just the cops interrogating these two guys (the same guy) to find out what they know about this other guy (also the same guy). and they ask the two guys (who are the same guy) the same questions, but the two guys (two-in-one guy) answer differently, and all of their answers are lies anyway because the guy they're being interrogated about (who again is the same guy) and in fact the two guys being interrogated as well (bogo guys) are all made up by the one real guy who's pretending to be all of them.

as much as I love GarJon, it's more in a fanon/au way, and I'm more than glad Titans kept Gar single throughout the show because it's already annoying for him to be a side character labeled wrongly as a main character and would've been so much worse if he got reduced to someone's love interest when he never even got a chance to have his own character
