#so i got into the owl house super late sjfbfjd#i honestly didnt know what to expect but#the show is really really good#i dig the humor its legitimately funny and the stories are well done#was not expecting a legit colonizer as the bad guy but woof he was easy to hate#i liked how the team wrote the many aspects of that as well it felt idk respectful in a way#like it was a 'heres how people like this who very clearly arent good people use their power and influence to get others to ignore that'#also i appreciate the little ways they wrote stuff like abusive/neglectful parents and relationships#one that comes to mind is Amity and her dad when he goes to hug her and she asserts herself and offers a hand shake instead#i love that kind of thing being taught to kids where their boundaries should be respected and they should feel comfortable saying yes/no#or how Amity didnt go through Luz's phone even tho she knew Luz wasnt being honest#all these things lead to a bigger conversation about concent and i just really loved all those touches#plus the cast is super fun and interesting#i love the character growth and i love all these kids im their parents now please let them rest and be safe omfg#anyway im caught up#aaaaaaaand i may have made a teacher oc for the beastkeeping track at the school#dont know their name yet but!!!!!#i just thought it would be fun#thats what i would have gone into if id lived in that world ngl#anyway go watch the owl house#also eda call me
