10.6.2023 - This was actually yesterday. Oops.
So at this point we've covered how to read, write, and pronounce simple vowels, simple consonants, double vowels, and double consonants.
In this lesson, we learned that when placed at the bottom or the "final" position of a word, some consonants sound a bit different. The cute little consonant that looks like a box (ㅁ) has a "muh" sound when at the left or top position, but a "mm" when at the bottom. That sort of thing.
I was cracking up because my professor gave so much detail about each consonant and then ended the lecture without explaining the final row. I was left there like, but-- but wait-- how do I-- okay. (ዎ_ዎ)
I've been crazy busy with work, like 42 hours is my "low" week, lol (*actually crying*). I tend to do around an hour of Korean study every night, then when assignments are done, I take a day or two off or just spend less time studying.
For my class, lectures, feedback, etc., are uploaded on Canvas on Wednesdays, and then assignments, typically a mix of recordings and writings, are due on Mondays. I love that there is a specific, set schedule that I can work with. So far so good.

You have the Power to put forward whatever results you wish to see!
As for me, the result I want to accomplish is building a strong student nation. Whatsoever little I struggled in my studies, gave me the idea of sharing my notes online to help other students.
I've just begun the initiative, It's a long long journey! and I wish to carry it along with me in the future..

Friday 1st March 2024
Happy first of the month!
Yeah, last night (1am to 4am) I was bored so I just randomly started relearning JavaScript from the beginning. I’m fairly confident with my JavaScript, but it’s nice to refresh things!
I was using Codecademy - my subscription ends in July and I don’t want to renew it so I’m going to juice as many certificates as I can out before then!! Not paying £140 again…
Also I found a loophole with Quizlet where because I started my subscription during Christmas sale season, my subscription only cost £3.20 annually and not £32. I’ve been doing this for 3 years now. Hehe.

Right now, I’m struggling a lot. A lot of things happened to me and my family during the holidays and I feel like I’ve lost all progress I made regarding my thesis. It’s just a bachelors thesis, I keep telling myself. No need to be stressed out about it that much. I always did good in academic writing. Why would I lose that skill over night?
I bought a new planner and was hesitant to open it the first time, because then I’d have to face the future and everything that I’ll have to do. Today I made myself open it to fill those first blanks and I discovered that my boyfriend left some notes in there. 🥺

Starting the second week of the first semester, it's been kinda hard since I'm pretty much the only one talking and participating in class, that's like the bad side of online classes.
I don't trust people on do anything like slides or projects, I'm not taking risks with my scholarship hahaha.
It's kinda fun seeing all the webcams and I'm the pinkiest of all 😂 also the age gap between everyone is kinda freaky for me.
Tumblr media
I'm hoping everything goes smooth the next few months, business administration is pretty much a new field for me and I'm scared but excited.
Wish me luck!
