#and now i will explain them all in detail#cos i started watching hannibal back in like. january or february and will immediately set up camp in my head and started to settle there#*I* pay rent to *HIM*. he lives there permanently. sweating and monologuing constantly#em was not only the character of 2022 but also of 2023 and of 2024 and the rest of the decade and all decades to come#she had such an impact on me keke palmer's performance will live with me forever and i love nope so fucking much#i almost didnt include her because nope was more of a last year obsession. but she lives on#aziraphale.........no comment#severance.......i love them all so much and at first i wanted just irving and then just helly and then i realise i cried over mark this week#and then i realised i couldnt possibly leave out dylan when hes probably my favourite character. so then i settled for all of them#hawkeye is my fucking wife. enough said#martha... well i knew i had to have a doctor who character. i thought maybe the doctor but then i thought their companions mean more to me#sometimes at least. i did have a fourteen icon for a while but then i was like but Donna..... and then i thought. well#these past few months at least martha jones has been eating away at my heart. i go batshit insane when i think about her#her impact. her grace. her power. so she had to go on the list.it was a toss up between her and donna for sure though#then i figured i had to include a karamazov since reading that book took up half of my year. and ivan was my favourite of the 3. so <3#kim goes without saying. literally nothing to be said hes the character Of All Time. to me#stewy also goes without saying ive had so many Stewy Save Me moments since the beginning of season 4 all the way to the end of the year#i miss him every day. he is the moment. i wish there was more of him all the time#and the last one is a bit of a wildcard cos all my insanity abt melshi has been on my andor sideblog.#but rest assured ive been thoroughly Not Normal about him. he literally side appears in 4 episodes and has 11 total minutes onscreen#but i love him. so much. and hes occupied most of my thoughts since september. once again his impact his power his grace. his homosexuality#enough said. that's all. thanks for reading. this was a great year for autism and madness#tag game#🍪

Starting a little collection of times when Rose says/does something cute and silly and you can literally see the hearts coming out of Blanche and Dorothy
#was tempted to add dorothy entering the room behind rose in that first one bc her smile is just so precious <3#but it works better like this overall i feel#the second one is technically cheating bc dorothy is happy about having sophia's box again. but i will count it because this is MY gifset#and i get to decide what goes in it <3#blanche asking 'did you really know that rose?' in the third set is so precious to me <3#as is dorothy saying 'welcome back sweetheart' in the fourth set <3#and rose is always adorable ofc. her face when she rescues fernando is everything to me <3 just look at her!!!#fernando's subplot was sincerely top notch! one of my favourite b-plots!! it's simply too sweet#i still haven't figured out how to use the sharpen tool on photoshop :') so my primary goal for this set was missed i'm afraid#i did have fun choosing the moments and making them tho so i'm counting this as an overall success#and besides any time spent staring at these beautiful ladies is time well spent in my book#they <333#the golden girls#golden wives#feel free to suggest any additions to this collection btw!! i'd love to have others

Okay SO
Mat makes an "ashandarei" out of the dagger and a random pole, and I'm like-
"AHAHAHAHA yes this is so in character and is referencing the weapon he gets later!!! 10/10!!! I find this so funny I'm actually crying!!!"
But then he blows the horn (which like FUCK YEAH he still got to blow the horn!!!) and says "I remember", Artur Hawkwing says that he's fought with Mat, and Mat gets to say his old tongue catchphrase
And as much as I'm excited that he's getting his time to shine and kick Seanchan ass, I'm also worried that they're replacing his deal with the Eelfinn with this...
But because he also says "I am one of you" and they made Uno a Hero of the Horn...
This could either be them doing the abovementioned or adding to his character and still having him make the deal later.
Or that could just be my wishful thinking

#this may turn into one of my long ass posts with hundreds of screenshots of quotes from the books#but i dont have the energy for that just now#anyway. this moment makes me wanna throw shit at the walls. their relationship is my favourite thing from the very beginning#but dumas went really went out of his way to make it even more insane in the last book#and dont hit me with a 'aww they have such a big/little brother energy its so cute uwu' please im begging you stop saying that#nothing irks me more than hearing their relationship described as something that innocent. its so much more complex and intense come on#there is pure visceral hate there. jealousy. bile. cruelty. some fucked up form of codependency even? maybe? from d'artagnan's side?#there's nothing more horrible and cruel than the fact that THEY are the only two left alive in the end (not for long but yknow)#they would NEVER be friends if not for athos (and they would never hate each other so much if not for him too)#they hate each other so so much. but remember that d'artagnan starts out being absolutely bedazzled by aramis and looking up to him#his first impression of aramis is just. hearteyes and 'wow i wish that were me'. he doesnt do that even with athos at first.#he grows to adore athos yes but upon first meeting him he doesnt think much of him. unlike with aramis.#and then it changes instantly. does a 180° flip when aramis is a bitch to him.#and it stays that way for the entirety of the trilogy. until this moment. this one short moment when d'artagnan#who. mind you. is not innocent himself and was also manipulating the hell out of porthos and talking shit about aramis behind his back.#but he makes that step. he reaches out. 'i fucking hate you let me help you you dumb evil cunt' and aramis says 'no <3'#you know i have this thing where i am OBSESSED with finding the one moment where a character condemns themselves for good.#the one moment when they figuratively sign the contract for their perdition. that up to that moment they could still be saved somehow.#for rodrigo it is when he tries to kill eboli (in the play). for don giovanni it is when he refuses elvira's plea to change#(NOT when he accepts il commendatore's invite mind you)#and i feel like THIS is that moment for aramis.#the fact that it comes from d'artagnan is so just so fucking agsjssgsgsh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and of course he says no.#there is no version of this where he lets himself be helped. he has to say no he will always say no.#but boy oh boy is this making me bang my head against the wall.#the three musketeers#les trois mousquetaires#vicomte de bragelonne#alexandre dumas

A brief thought about N in b3
one thing that pains me about N's route in b3 is that I just... feel like that unwavering and intense love of humanity is missing? it's been such an integral part of their character in the previous two books and is one of the things I adore about N. I feel like most of what we see of that is what was in the demo and not much after that and don't get me started about their casual thoughts of the detective becoming a vampire.
#its also one of my favourite ways in which N & A are sort of foils of each other#but still are such close friends (which i feel like we also didnt see a ton of in this book)#i did enjoy lots of N's moments in b3 dont get me wrong though#spoilers#twsee#twc critical

its a fun little romcomish thing and idk if you’ve read the other books in the series but it’s a nice little refreshing thing from the little bits of fakeness with the other books and honestly the sex scenes are top tier

even though i enjoyed book 3 LT i was disappointed that a lot of the scenes where exactly the same as they were in A & N's solo routes. book 2 LT was very good because the route had its own unique scenes and i wish book 3 was more like that tbh
#i mean i get it that at this point the detective has to start choosing between them both#but i wish the scenes were more unique idk?#like that scene in book 2 where you drink wine with A and have a tension(tm) filled moment and then N comes to the kitchen?#that's one of my favourite scenes in the whole series#i don't want to say that mishka was lazy or anything (i mean she wrote a book with hundreds of thousands of words in like three years)#but still it bothers me a little bit#💬 chatter

Literally no adaptation will top this description of Hyde. Ever.
#dont get me wrong there are non book Hydes i really enjoy watching#and that are genuinely quite scary#(1932 Hyde walking through Ivys door is one of the most terrifying moments ive ever experienced in film)#but when you change the medium you lose absolutely INCREDIBLE descriptions like this#THIS PASSAGE is literally my FAVOURITE PART of the WHOLE BOOK#because it makes Hyde a genuinely terrifying and unnatural borderline eldritch horror#i just chefs kiss theres so much going on here#hyde as inorganic as a violation of companionship as an unnatural child as a thing that lives but shouldnt and it lives in you#mwah#jekyll and hyde weekly
