#on...maybe forgiveness doesn't mean literally forgiving those who caused you to suffer but instead finally letting go of that suffering

"I Love Yoo will return!"
the 5 words that cause anxiety to every I Love Yoo reader who's been through at least 1 of the 2 long breaks lol
But I'm so excited for Episode 180, I'm sure the break probably just means Quimchee needs more time to work on the episode and we'll get fed! Also, we already suffered 7/8 months through the stalkyoo fight, what are a few more weeks then? At least we finally saw them talk and reconcile.
That being said, what are your predictions and perhaps hopes for Episode 180? Or what do you hope doesn't happen?
Hahaha! I THINK if quimchee was intending to do a much longer break she'd be warning us, but hahahaha! I assumed, yeah, she just couldn't get the whole episode ready in time and rather than rush or cut it in half she did the reasonable thing and took off the week. But yes the timing is so funny lmaoooo
I don't know if I have any real predictions, but I guess I do want to see some confirmation that Nol has decided to stay with his friends? The fact that he made the effort to actually go to Shinae, he literally took the step to her and face her, feels to me like he has decided that he can't - and shouldn't - walk away from his friends. I don't know if Shinae can actually get through to him that easily, but her point that he isn't ACTUALLY protecting her from Yui by leaving given her circumstances is a REALLY IMPORTANT point.
I might be being too optimistic, but to me, that whole moment when Nol and Shinae throw each other's words back and forth - the "Did you really mean everything you said?" "Every last word" - and Nol's decision to climb up and join Shinae reads like he's made that decision because why else do it, right? I don't think he's joining her to say goodbye for real, or he would have left when she told him to go on and get lol. He had multiple opportunities tonight to leave and I think joining her on the rooftop is Nol deciding to accept his friendships and embrace them. Maybe he'll still go to university out of country, but the important thing is that he's not severing those ties, that when he finishes serving his time, he'll heave friends to return to (and friends to visit him and talk to him if he wants that).
Also ngl I wanna see Shinae give Nol the hug she promised haha. I think there's something poetic about how their first and last hug was so PAINFUL and tragic and, when you consider that conversation, it hurts even more. We all thought he'd hugged her because he couldn't bear for her to think their friendship never meant anything, but instead, it was a hug of apology, because it was true, he hadn't meant it at first, it WAS all a lie at first and he felt apologetic towards her (and probably to himself, because that friendship had come to mean something and he didn't believe he could protect it). So to go from that terrible, painful hug to one of reconciliation, to starting again, to being more honest? Ugh yes I want to see that SO badly.
I imagine that also means Nol will join Shinae at the party - and lmao having to explain where he came from hah! I feel like there's a chance Soushi might be more reluctant to forgive but that's a pretty baseless feeling lol. He just feels like he might need more explanation than Dieter might.
I'm keen to see Nol and Minhyuk meet, though. I've made it clear that I think they won't necessarily get along very well from the start and even though Shinae seems like she'll be able to forgive Nol and is happy that they can reconcile, I think it will be harder for Minhyuk to accept. He'll probably grudgingly accept him, but in the kind of "you're on really thin ice and if you fuck up again I WILL kick your ass" kind of way lmaoooo like. Shinae made it clear that she cares about Nol a lot and Minhyuk clearly isn't used to seeing that side of her, of people mattering to her, so I think he'd try to understand her even though he likely wouldn't think much of Nol at this time?
That's probably all I really have for theories, though lol I'm pretty up in the air. It'd be nice to see Nol smile at some point. Just... let go of his dark feelings for a moment and revel in the comfort that despite it all, there are people who have come to care about him, and they are people who are important to him, and hopefully have a few moments of peace and maybe even happiness before he has to go away for a while aaaaaahhhhhhh!
Let me know what you're thinking, Nonny! I know I answered this really late and hopefully ep 180 is upon us but! I still want to hear what you're hoping for or looking forward to!

Obiwan is injured after Naboo and Quigon doesn't know. He finds out with a bang
Qui-Gon awoke alone and in a little bit of pain. At first, he didn’t know what happened, but then he remembered Naboo and their fight with the Sith. He remembered being impaled by a blood red blade and then he remembered only pain for a while, great agonising pain. After a while of only remembering pain, something else came to the forefront of his mind. Obi-Wan, his Padawan had been there too. And he had told his Padawan to train the boy, Anakin, the Chosen One.
But where was Obi-Wan? Surely he hadn’t hurt his Padawan THAT much, Obi-Wan had understood his true intentions, hadn’t he? Qui-Gon suddenly was not so sure anymore. He gritted his teeth. He couldn’t do anything about it now, the healers had made sure of that. At least he guessed that it had been the healers who had restrained him and cuffed him to his bed and injected him with Force suppressors. The long haired Jedi knew that he had a history with the medbay and the healers, but this was just utterly ridiculous.
It was later, much later when FINALLY a healer deemed it necessary to look after him. The completely shocked and maybe even frightened face of the young male was priceless however. He had even dropped the datapad he had been reading from, when his eyes had met with the Jedi Master’s. Before Qui-Gon could say anything however, the young male had vanished again, only to return with Vokara Che, head healer and apparently not amused by the fact that Qui-Gon had NOT been supervised like she had ordered. Otherwise they would have noticed his awakening much sooner. The past couldn’t be changed however and the female healer had quickly regained her usual Jedi serenity, but not until giving the young male a piece of her mind. After witnessing this, Qui-Gon had not dared to speak up, but eventually he had to. His curiosity got the better of him.
“Forgive me, Master Che, but what news can you give me about my Padawan and the young Skywalker?” he asked while she opened the restraints and took the IV needles from his arms. Her clever eyes darted to his face and there was something in them, that caused a bad feeling in the bearded Jedi’s gut.“I fear this is something you should see for yourself. Can you stand?” He slightly wondered how long he had been in this state for her to even ask this. He had expected, with such a serious injury, that he wouldn’t be allowed to walk for months. Then again, perhaps it had already been months, without him realizing. He didn’t dare to ask though.“I don’t know,” he answered honestly instead. It turned out that he COULD stand, but not without assistance. “This should work well enough,” Master Che nodded her head. “Just so there won’t be any future misunderstandings, if it hadn’t been for Master Yoda, I wouldn’t allow you this much freedom.”“Understood,” he grumbled, “And the restraints?” “For our own protections… You were under the impression that we were your Sith opponent,” she said. She didn’t need to add the reason for the Force suppressor, it was clear that it was very much the same one. Qui-Gon was just grateful that the latter was already wearing off.
“In here,” the head healer said and she motioned with her hand to a closed door. From inside two voices could be heard, but not enough to be understood or identified. The taller male leaned heavily on his walking stick. The short walk had tired him out more than expected. He just prayed that the green troll would never see him like this. On the other hand, perhaps he could take his sweet revenge for all the bruised shins he had received from the Grandmaster of the Order.“Thank you,” he replied. Vokara Che bowed her head and then left, probably to look after other patients or to simply give him some privacy.Whatever it was, it didn’t matter to Qui-Gon. He took a deep breath and eventually opened the door silently. He war greeted by the most precious sight.
The room’s two occupants did not notice him, they were too fixed on each other. Obi-Wan sat upright in his hospital bed, blanket covering him from the hip down. Anakin was sitting in one of those uncomfortable chairs and his brows were furrowed. His tongue peeked out between his lips and his eyed were fixed on the small ball between the two males. The ball trembled a moment, but remained in the air.“Very good,” Obi-Wan praised. Only now did Qui-Gon notice the missing braid and the longer hair. It almost reached him to his shoulders. There was also a bit stubble on his face.“I’m ready,” the blonde said very slowly. He had a braid now and wasn’t the braiding style awfully familiar?A small smile graced the ginger haired man’s features and then Qui-Gon felt him sent a tiny Force wave towards the small ball.Again the round object trembled, this time much stronger. It almost fell to the bed, but Anakin saved it, just in time. Then Obi-Wan raised his hand, palm facing up. Anakin maneuvered the ball into his outstretched hand and then there was silence between them.Slow realisation appeared on the young Skywalker’s face. It was quickly replaced by a huge grin and a gleeful expression. “I did it! I finally did it!” the young Padawan exclaimed excited and then literally flung himself into the other male’s arms. “Thank you Master!”“This was your doing, Padawan. I merely helped you to understand it.”Qui-Gon must have made a small noise, probably a surprised gasp, because the two younger Jedi in the room turned to him in surprise and in shock.“Master Qui-Gon,” Anakin was the first to find his voice again. He pushed himself out of the embrace, but remained in the ginger haired Jedi’s lap. Obi-Wan did not seem to mind.“Anakin,” the tall male smiled, but then turned his attention to his former Padawan, “Obi-Wan,” he didn’t know what to say.Blue-green eyes closed for a moment. “It is good to see you finally fully awake and aware of it,” the Knight said, his smile was blinding. A huge mountain was lifted off of Qui-Gon’s shoulders. So his former apprentice HAD understood the true intentions behind his often stupid actions.“Of course I understood, you just wanted to help Anakin,” Qui-Gon had not realized that the bond between Obi-Wan and him still existed. “It still hurt though… in the beginning.”“And I am terrible sorry for that,” this was the complete truth.“I know and I would forgive you, were there anything to forgive,” the ginger haired Knight replied. He leaned back against his pillow, when Anakin leaned more against his chest.“You should sit down Master Qui-Gon, your legs are trembling,” the blonde Padawan cut in. He motioned to the chair he had been occupying.“If it doesn’t bother you Obi-Wan, to hold your Padawan a little longer.”The air around Anakin shifted and Obi-Wan’s blue-green eyes saddened. “It’s not like I feel him, so…” he trailed off.The long haired man had slumped in the chair at this point, glad to relax his trembling legs. “What do you mean?”“Has nobody told you?” “No,” Qui-Gon had no idea what was going on. Out of instinct he reached out and took on of his former Padawan’s hands in his own. It immediately tightened around his larger hand, seeking comfort. The ginger haired Knight sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. He averted concerned midnight blue eyes and rested his chin on blonde spikes. “I have no feelings in my legs anymore, I am paralyzed from the hips down.”Qui-Gon swallowed heavily. “How bad?”Obi-Wan shrugged, still averting his gaze, “The healer still have one or two tests and another special method, but it is most likely permanent… At least I do not need help relieving myself, thank the Force for small mercies.”“But… How?” words were not easily coming to the Master’s mind. “The Sith…” He sighed, it was not easy for Obi-Wan to explain. He took comfort in the knowledge that it was his old Master he was talking to and that his dear Padawan was sending comfort and love over their bond. “After you went down.. I had to fight him alone. He landed a good hit on me… on my back. The healers don’t know how I have done this, me neither to be honest. They guess it must have been the adrenaline and the Force that kept me going until I was able to stabilize you, afterwards… well, Anakin found me, found US then.”“Tell him how I got you out there,” the young Padawan chuckled.“Be careful that I don’t get YOU out of here,” Obi-Wan retorted.“As if,” the blonde nestled closer to his Master, he loved hearing the man tell stories.“Insolent brat,” the Knight said, but with fondness in his voice and sparkling eyes.“How did he get us out?” After the highly amusing exchange between the new Master-Padawan-Team right in front of him, Qui-Gon wanted to know.Obi-Wan then continued the hilarious tale of embarrassing moments he (and Qui-Gon) had to suffer since their little adventure on Naboo.
At some point during the Knight’s story on his time in the medbay, the young Padawan succumbed to sleep. Most likely due to the relaxed atmosphere and the constant stroking of Obi-Wan’s free hand, the one Qui-Gon did not still held in his own, through his short hair.A gentle tug brought the ginger haired male’s attention to his former Master. Qui-Gon’s eyes were sad, “How are you feeling, dear one?”“I don’t know,” he took a shaky breath, “it’s still… I still cannot quite believe it. I don’t WANT to believe it.”The older male got up on shaky legs and seated himself next to his former Padawan, so that he could put his arm around the younger man’s shoulders. Obi-Wan immediately leaned into him. “We will figure something out.”The ginger haired Knight nodded. It wasn’t alright and it probably wouldn’t be for some time. Obi-Wan was still in denial, only on the way to acceptance, then again, the healers were not finished with him yet either. Qui-Gon however was in shock, even though he didn’t let it show, not in front of his former Padawan. Guilt gnawed in his mind. Had he listened to Obi-Wan and had he not been too proud to wait for help, they probably wouldn’t be in this mess. “Don’t dwell on the past Master,” an accented voice spoke up.“Wise words, my former Padawan,” Qui-Gon chuckled fondly. He had not expected his own words to be thrown back at him. Still, he silently wished that their rolls were reversed. He had lived most of his life, but Obi-Wan’s had barely started. It pained the older Jedi to think of the possibility that his action loving brat might not be able to dance and fly with his lightsaber again. It pained to even have to face the possibility that his son in all but blood would never be without any form of assistance in his life anymore. It would be impossible for him to go on missions alone as well.“You are thinking again,” the accented voice grumbled.“I am planning on requesting a permanent partnership. Anakin could benefit from two Masters, one unofficial one with a lot of experience and one official one with new and fresh ideas. Also… I don’t want to let go just yet.”Obi-Wan chuckled, “I like the idea, this way I can make sure that you stay out of trouble.”“Excuse me?” the long haired man asked scandalized. Obi-Wan started outright laughing at that, it was a wonder that the young Skywalker did not wake up.Still, if there was even the tiniest chance of recovery, Qui-Gon would hope and he would be at Obi-Wan’s side till the very end, no matter what he would chose. He owned him at least that much. He would hope and he would not give up on his former Padawan. Obi-Wan had never given up on him after all. And perhaps, just perhaps, the Force was listening to his prayers…
