The Astronomer’s Dream (1898)

Howdy! Long time no post! Sorry for the lack of content on here, I haven’t really had the energy to get up and draw much like I used to (despite wanting to). I thankfully have a long backlog of horror designs that I’ve made that I’ll be able to post sometime soon, so look out for that!

This piece is based off the silent film The Astronomer’s Dream (1898), one of the earlier horror movie entries! Absolutely worth the watch if you are interested in old films as it’s interesting to learn about!

Here’s a close up of the character The Astronomer, who is an American Badger (colours), Peppered Moth (Patterns) and Hare (associated with the moon) fusion! + Fullbody reference below:

One thing I absolutely adore doing is turning horror media into anthro characters, so if you have any horror movie suggestions feel free to drop them into my ask box! If I’ve already done that movie (considering I have officially created 504 designs as of 30/10/2023) I’ll post the design and any misc doodles I’ve made alongside it!
