🐈‍⬛ regressor izzy hands

→ he’s an involuntary regressor (on the younger side of 1-5), and as a result of only really regressing when he’s put it off too long, or something negative has triggered it; he tends to be really teary and sleepy for most of it.

→ he spends heaps of his time small, curled up asleep somewhere or with someone as he tries to sleep it off. he usually ends up with gentlebeard, or frenchie, or fang. if jim’s small too, the two of them will sometimes be found together

→ he absolute loathes it, but he’s super emotionally fragile when he’s small, since he’s so tightly strung out every other time. there’s nothing worse than him getting into his head about something, getting teary over it and then getting mad he’s getting teary. it just spirals into an absolute tantrum

→ he loves watching people to their jobs while he just co-exists while small. he’ll sit on a crate and fiddle with scrap bits and pieces while while frenchie (and wee john) work, or sit in the galley with roach while the other man cooks. he even spends time up on the deck silently while buttons navigates

→ he’s not a huge talker while he’s small, not because he necessarily can’t talk, but mostly just because it’s a lot of effort at that point. he usually manages to get his point across regardless. him and jim have pretty much mastered having silent conversations between them

→ he’s a super picky eater, since he both gets an upset tummy really easily and because he just never feels like he has enough time to eat. the crew and his captains have learnt that the easiest way to get him to eat is to give him little bits of food throughout the day while he’s doing something. izzy hasn’t caught on yet

→ stede has a whole collection of embarrassing little nicknames for izzy, especially once izzy actually starts letting him be around him while small without a huge fight. actually most of the crew have some variation of nicknames for him. he pretends that he hates it more than anything; he loves it

→ on the few times that he will talk while small, whoever he’s with will usually he subjected to a complete infodump of facts about the ocean, and marine creatures and pirate ships. it’s as fascinating as it is endearing.

Also!!! Little beeby baby Izzy does not understand why his balance is all different now he lives on land in mama and baba's inn, just being sat up is kinda dizzying and baby does not like that!! Time to invest in a good baby gym to hang toys from because Izzy is only gonna lay on his back for a few weeks

Caregiver!Stede Bonnet x Little!Reader Headcanons

He is absolutely the type of cg to make everything as fun as possible. You want to play hide and seek? He’s creating an elaborate story to go alongside it with mermaids and pirate treasure. You ask him to do a craft? You better believe he’s sent one of the crew to shore to fetch clay and paints.

Speaking of crafts, he’ll literally display or wear anything and everything you make him while regressed. In fact, he urges you to seek out any creativity you do or don’t have! Once you wanted to make him an outfit, so you stole away to his secret closet (one of your favourite places on the whole ship) and splattered crimson paint all over one of his white, frilly shirts. When you brought it to him with a proud look on your face, he gasped and picked you up, twirling both you and the shirt around. I love it! You are so talented, little one. He wore the shirt every day for the next week, even when you weren’t regressed.

Because he comes from a very humble background (total sarcasm applicable here), Stede has mastered the art of comfort, as he likes to call it with a grand gesture. (Not to be confused with the… other art, he once said.) You can bet you’ll never be uncomfortable when you’re around him, physically or emotionally. Squirmy baby that just can’t sleep? Well, of course Stede has an answer for that. He’ll take you by the hand and lead you to his closet, letting you pick any item of clothing that has the most comfortable texture for little you. He’ll offer you hot tea or warm milk, and he loves nothing more than bringing a cup to your lips and helping you drink while you rest your head against his chest.

Stede is also a huge fan of bedtime stories. Apart from his tales to the crew, he loves adding a dramatic bit of theatre to your bedtime routine. He tailors his stories exactly to your mood, softening his voice and letting the sound of water hitting the hull of the ship lull you to sleep, or entertaining you with an hour long epic about the adventures of Blackbeard.

Oh, he’s so incredibly in tune with your emotional needs. He rarely falters in his ability to understand what you need, and he’s able to immediately tell how old you’re feeling just by being in your presence. Feeling smaller today, darling? That’s quite alright. I’ll be right here with you.

He frequently encourages you to play with the other crew members when you’re little as well. He’ll spot you watching Frenchie play music and will take you by the hand to sit with the other, smiling proudly when you let go and clap along to Frenchie’s music happily.

Playtime is always the best time with Stede, although sometimes he can get carried away. Once during hide and seek he jumped out and startled you so bad you burst into tears on the spot. He’s very quick to apologize and soothe your ailments, wiping your tears from your cheeks and promising you a treat from below deck.

Stede will always make sure you’re a happy baby, and if not, he’s always at his best when comforting and understanding your little side.

i’m in a headcannon mood and after the emotional rollercoaster that was ep 6 and 7, i’ve decided to focus on my beloved boy — edward teach !!

so, here they are:)

- mostly falls on the younger side of regressing, anywhere between being a tiny baby to a bustling toddler !

- whenever stede isn’t around to watch him ed is usually in the kitchen w/ roach !

- he gets to help stir and lick the spoon after roach is done :))

- a very emotional boy !

- ed gets in his feelings about every little thing, especially when he’s little, so the crew makes sure to remind him he’s still the specialist boy ever !

- spoiled. rotten.

- half of stede’s auxiliary closet is filled with all the soft linens and the robes he wears while little !

- he doesn’t like making decisions when he’s little whatsoever !

- there’ve been multiple times when he started crying because stede asked him too many questions at once…

- makeup! he loves makeup whenever he’s tiny!

- while he’s big, no, but baby ed loves the feeling of wee john gliding the brush against his skin and all the pretty colors he can choose from:)

- he gets (forces) stede to dress him in his leathers whenever they’re going out

- despite being a total attention hog, he’s always trying to get izzy involved !

- he loves his iz to have the same chances he does

- cried once during storytime because stede forgot to do the voices…

- stede swore to never do it ever again

- has the whole of the crew wrapped around his finger

- stede makes him take an afternoon nap every day and he only goes whenever izzy sings to him

- he falls asleep especially faster if izzy also lays with him the whole time

- and stays with him till his nap’s over…

ugh i can go on and on about ed but i think i’ll cut it off here. i also have loads of headcannons for kraken!ed too, so those might make an appearance soon:))

Izzy is usually the tiniest teeniest little colicky baby but occasionally he only drops around 2-3 and spends all his time following Stede around to tell him what he's doing wrong, that his handwriting isn't straight enough on the page, that the sun is too bright today, that Stede should actually button his jacket up like this (with all the buttons out of order), that when papa goes to bed he just takes off his leathers so why doesn't Stede, instead of wearing those dumb dresses?

Which means Stede is going around all day narrowly avoiding putting Izzy in a premature nap time because he's being constantly made fun of by a two year old boy who thinks he's hilarious and also the smartest person ever in the whole world

you are SO RIGHT about that changing table toy Izzy's just so small and everything can be a bit scary sometimes so he needs some extra help to feel safe!!!! and Stede finding new ways of helping him come to terms with needing that help + incorporating that into his regression oh my GOD you're a genius

Stede's #1 go to method for helping Izzy process things is through role play so he absolutely has a full like, baby doll nursery set and talks izzy through the play asking what he thinks baby needs, encouraging him telling him what a good job he's doing making sure the baby is fed and clean and happy, baby must be so happy being looked after so well!

He talks Izzy through his own care the same way he does with the play, telling him mama's gonna change him so he's all clean and cosy, feed his little tummy up and have a nice warm bath so he can sleep really good

Izzy is Very Anxious about being cared for, he does not want to be vulnerable in any way but he also has to admit he can't really care for himself when he's little. Stede also does things to help with the immediate anxiety whilst they make slow progress with the playing through Izzy's feelings; he has a special cuddle friend for changes that plays soft music when their tummy is squeezed and that will normally give Izzy five minutes of distraction while Stede gets through the scariest part of changing and by the time Izzy pays attention he's just getting a fresh nappy tapped on and that feels so nice that maaaybe next change he won't be crying his head off as soon as mama asks to check him (he absolutely will, because 3 hours will have passed and he will have forgotten that the last change was okay)

Imn like 2 imagine that he takes care of me the mostest!! We do coloring together, he makies me feel happy whene I get 2 sad, and we get 2 make blankie forts and have snackies together!

2. AZIRAPHALE AND CROWLEY FROM GOOD OMENS

Imn think that they take care of me together or take turnes!!!

Azi lets me hang out in the bookeshope and findes stories for me 2 read!! We also go to the shops on the streete togethere.. we get sweets from the coffee shope and get fun musics that Azi likes at the recoreds store!

Crowley takes me for rides in the Bentley!! We also listen 2 music together, and sometiems cause a liiitlle bit of trouble!! >:-) We have fun in the park with Azi all together!!

3. PROFESSOR VENOMOUS FROM OK KO LETS BE HEROES

I think he woulde let me hang out with him in his office or sometimes do silly things with mee in the lab!!! Maybe he would haeve Boxman make a silly robot for us 2 playe with!!

He might taeke me for rides in his car 2!!!

4. IZZY HANDS FROM OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH

Imn think he ise a lottt nicer than the rest of the crew might thinks sometimes!! We playe games together belowe deck and do silly stuff late at night like looking for things in the water and looeking up at the stars.

They both take care of me kindae of like Azi and Crowley!!! When they need help, Izzy helps them out and takes care of me!
