["We are particularly distressed by reports that Palestinian women and girls in detention have also been subjected to multiple forms of sexual assault, such as being stripped naked and searched by male Israeli army officers. At least two female Palestinian detainees were reportedly raped while others were reportedly threatened with rape and sexual violence," the report added.
Experts also noted that degrading photographs of Palestinian women and girls held in detention were reportedly taken by army officials and uploaded online.
"Taken together, these alleged acts may constitute grave violations of international human rights and humanitarian law, and amount to serious crimes under international criminal law that could be prosecuted under the Rome Statute," the experts said.]
In Gaza, more than 28,000 Palestinians have been killed (12,000+ children), with more than 67,000 wounded. 7,000 people are missing
In the occupied West Bank, at least 390 Palestinians have been killed (102 children), with more than 4,450 wounded
85% of the population is internally displaced
Approximately 1.4 million+ of the remaining population have taken refuge in Rafah, a designated "safe zone"; it is the southern most city in Gaza, and only 64 sq km in size. Despite its designation, it continues to be targeted by Israali air strikes, with a ground assault planned
Humanitarian conditions in Gaza are critical, with shortages of food and water, increases in rates of infectious disease, a collapsing healthcare system, and with limited electricity and internet access

PROTESTS IN TULKARM AFTER ISRAELI FORCES EXECUTE THREE YOUNG PALESTINIAN MEN
📹 Protesters storm the streets of Tulkarm in the northwest of the West Bank after video emerges detailing the execution of three young Palestinian men in the city by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).
After shooting the three men, IOF soldiers ran over their bodies using occupation trucks and then blocked emergency crews from reaching the scene, leaving the three to bleed out in the streets to death.
Israel is targeting the media and making an enemy of objectivity. They are murdering journalists and targeting their families.
In 2017 N.etanyahu's regime tried to shut down Al Jeezra's Jerusalem / Al Quds office but were unsuccessful. So in 2021 they used their favourite excuse and claimed Hamas was using the Gaza office as a base in order to bomb it.
In 2022 they murdered American-Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, sniping her and members of her team while they wore their press jackets. They denied it for months only to quietly admit it later. Another of their classic strategies
Now the Israeli government has moved to shut down Al Jazeera within the state, claiming it is spreading "Hamas-Isis Propaganda" and that is a danger to the state. This is fascism.
Journalism has been one of the few reasons we have been able to sift through the lies of this government. And now we risk losing this bridge between the Palestinians and the international community
According to NPR, Biden is signing an executive order to address violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank (the area that is not Gaza and not at war).
While it's definitely not enough (need that ceasefire and to stop funding Israel)... it's something? Honestly, I'm unsure of how significant this is in the greater scheme of things, and it could be pretty words with no meaning for all I know. As a result, I'm waiting to hear more about the actual verbiage, and how for some good analysis by people who are actually experts, but it sounded important enough to share.
So IOF has used some of the most destructive bombs, they have made countless videos being racist and islamophobic and have mocked palestinians aimlessly on videos, have made videos of them giggling as they destroy palestinian owned shops, mosques, churches.... they have 0 regard for humanity, it's despicable at best. I personally can't believe that we have got to this point of how detrimental the situation is, but unfortunately because it isn't white people being killed by the thousands the usa and israel don't really care. I've even seen evidence of Israeli citizens who have lost family in Gaza, and clearly the prime minister does not care.
I will continue to be an advocate for Palestinians well into the future, I think they will eventually realize they messed with one of the most determined and stubborn generations of people and that we aren't going to back down from boycotting or uplifting the voices of those civilians being negatively impacted by this situation. Free Palestine.
