Skyrim is a dress up game, right ?

I was in the mood to do some costume design, so here is a line up for Teldryn Sero and my dragonborn Elaris :)

I'm always frustrated that every clothing mod on the Nexus is only for women characters (and let's say not to my tastes)- so I had a lot of fun with these :DD

Notes on my design choices for the two characters below vvv

For Teldryn :

He's a warrior, and he doesn't strike me as a man very interested in fashion, so I kept his clothes practical and not too tight as to not restrict his movements.

He is from Morrowind, and proud of it (one of his only dialogue is him talking about his hometown Blacklight and how beautiful it is), so I tried to incorporate this in his outfit choices. The most obvious one, outside of the canon chitin armor, is the fancy clothes. For them I gave him a slightly altered dunmer outfit you can find in Solstheim. But nothing too ornate or ridiculous, since he's from a pretty modest background (as far as I can tell)

And I think the sleepwear do not need explaining golglflffkfk

For his body type I went for the classic muscular and covered in scars build, nothing much to say. I did give him an ass tho, because I think he deserves it <3

For Elaris :

My dragonborn is a mage Altmer. He puts a lot of efforts in how he looks, and he is a bougie bitch thanks to his new Arc-mage job. Mostly a conjurer, he doesn't need to fight himself. So the outfits are dramatic, impractical and richely decorated. No need for comfortable when your main activities are prancing around a school campus, doing paperwork or summoning big muscly demons to do your bidding.

So I get to dress him in long robes, heels and too much jewelry <3

As for the sleepwear, it's comfy and not very sexy. It's the end of his cunty hours, he gets to relax in a slightly ridiculous 17th century inspired sleepwear (I think it's the right period, but don't quote me on that I'm not an expert)

For the body type, he is tall, not very muscular with a bit of chub. He lives in a cold country and has the closest thing to an office job, he deserves to put on a little bit of meat <3

Tada! Now that Dr. Nefarious/Elaris fankid has a name and a design!

In my headcanons, hybrids don't really exist in the RaC universe so much as you can go into a kid growing lab and choose what parent species you want your child in and the other parent gets some of their physical traits mixed in there to create someone that is 100% one species but has some facial features of the other parent. A good 30% of the RaC population are grown in these kid labs and no one sees it as that big of a deal. It’s just another giant industry like the wedding industry or the funeral industry in their world.

Although in Wesley's case, one of those tubes got stolen in the middle of the night and his father’s physical traits come from a bunch of eviscerated meat that's been saved in a Tupperware container for the past two decades.

Anyways, Wesley! Since both of their parents were relentlessly bullied in their youth, he was homeschooled and, as a result, is kind of clueless with social interactions. They grew up pretty well-adjusted but they’re also slightly edgy, hates and distrusts “the government” for how his parents but especially his mom were treated, and knows how to turn any fast food self-service kiosk into a Doom ROM if given like twenty seconds. He’s also a notorious video game leaker and has made several beloved emulators in his world.

He’s less “supervillain” and more “midseason anime rival that later befriends the hero after they lose a few times”.

Answering for Lar, my main boy from eternal empire

1. Are you named after anyone?

Yep! And he hates it! Actually, it’s two people – Prince Alaric Artorias Sorin II’s first name comes from his father, while his middle name is after his dad’s adventuring companion/ex/enemy Artoria. There’s a reason why he mainly uses a nickname.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I imagine it was back at the outpost – he was badly hurt fighting a monster. No magical healing out there, and the medic was the opposite of gentle. Who wouldn’t cry?

3. Do you have kids?

Nope, and not interested in having any. His parents did not set a good example.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

It’s hard for him to shake the princely politeness that was drilled into him since childhood, so he’s not sarcastic with most people. But there are exceptions – his brother, Niara, Fel and few of his other friends from the outpost. Mainly close friends or people who’ve really pissed him off.

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Probably their social standing. He grew up people watching at court, so he’s learned to pick up on people’s manner and how rich they look. It’s useful when you want to avoid getting dragged into political shenanigans.

6. What's your eye color?

Red. He thinks they’re creepy and honestly wishes they looked normal.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Movies don’t exist yet for him lol – but in general he prefers happy endings to his stories.

8. Any special talents?

Monster slaying? That’s his job, at least. He also learnt to play the piano as a kid, though by now he’s a bit rusty.

9. Where were you born?

The royal palace in Elaris, capital of the Eternal Empire

10. What are your hobbies?

Back at the outpost, he enjoyed sparring with the other soldiers. He also loves reading but is weird about it because it reminds him of his ex

11. Have you any pets?

No (hides part of my notes that says lar gets a dragon question mark?)

12. What sports do you play/have played?

Does like, sword fighting count? He does that a lot.

13. How tall are you?

About 180ish cm

14. Favorite subject in school?

Favorite lesson as a kid was very much sword fighting. He was really energetic and hated being cooped up inside to learn about history or the economy or whatever.

15. Dream job?

He really liked working at the outpost. Sure there was always a risk of death but that’s what made it exciting! Unfortunately for him though he’s now stuck in his nightmare job that is being the emperor.

He is his “twin brother”!!! Why the quotations? Mwahaha… they aren’t biological, but they were raised to believe they were! Emmet is from another dimension, and is Emperor Nefarious’ alternate universe self. That’s why he looks like doc!

i don't have her timeline 100% pinned down, but i thought i'd share some of my ideas about elarys as she is in her canon. her durge au is fun but the canon i made for her, in which she's still connected to the antagonists (primarily through ketheric & myrkul) is more fun for me.

she's born to a wood elf mother and a human father shortly before the curse is unleashed by ketheric's dark justiciars. they abandon her to flee for baldur's gate, and she "dies" to the curse as barely more than an infant.

except we know that nothing really dies while the curse takes hold, so she lies there dormant, rotting, cursed, warped. she looks like a corruption of a half-elven child, but she's something entirely other now, with one tiny foot in the grave and the other in the shadowfell. a necromantic thing.

this is where i'm playing fast and loose with the timeline, but i think myrkul gets his claws in the shadow-cursed lands a while before he picks his chosen (read: steals shar's from her). when he establishes a presence there, something interferes with elarys.

about 30-40 years before the events of the game, the infant elarys wakes up as myrkul begins establishing a foothold in the shadow-cursed lands. somehow, his presence undoes the physical manifestations of the curse, even though she remains corrupted. being undead, he can't create(?) spawn as bhaal can, but in this abandoned child he sees an opportunity and directs a small band of his clerics to find her. once they do, they retreat to a sanctuary just outside of baldur's gate. she was raised within the church.

as she aged, she was his original first choice for a chosen. he never spoke to her, but he did speak to the priest the clerics had given her to. but elarys proved a poor fit for his chosen, far more fascinated by alchemy, necromancy (for which she had little innate skill), and her cursed blood that gave her access to a rare and frightening type of magic: shadows.

elarys may not be interested in tracking down her mother (for her father is surely dead), but she is interested in magic and science. she throws herself into a passion project that turns into an obsession, which is achieving necromancy and complete resurrection like her own through alchemy rather than increasingly rare spells. the offering satisfies myrkul, but he loses interest in her and eventually finds ketheric instead.

in the meantime, elarys has encountered an ancient rogue mindflayer who calls himself the architect (hi da girlies). he has managed to extend his lifespan far beyond the normal range for an illithid through research of his own, and now seeks a way to permanently liberate himself & others like him from the influence of elder brains. so he strikes a deal with elarys: she helps him with his research and lures victims for him to feed on, and he grants her more magic for her repertoire, as it may aid her research.

so, they set up a clinic in the lower city. she gains a favourable reputation very fast; the most efficient healer in the city for the lowest price with the highest survival rate. it's not long before the well-to-do of the upper city are calling upon her for visits when they need healing. but that's also when the disappearances start in the lower city.

a string of disappearances coinciding with a string of grizzly murders begins to sew fear in the city. all roads lead to moonrise towers, it seems, for it's not long before a white-scaled dragonborn with blood on his breath and bhaal's amulet around his neck tracks her down and makes her an offer she can't refuse: how would she like to help his colleague in a special laboratory? except he phrases it as though he's useless and needs assistance. elarys, who has always loved having her ego stroked, is quick to accept.

to moonrise towers they go, where they meet the other two. she and enver don't get along at first, given that they're both two massive egos making a name for themselves in the modern sciences suddenly having to share space, but ketheric likes her almost immediately. maybe it's because he knows a fellow undead (or, undead in the way he is) when he sees one. maybe it's because he can feel that she's been touched by myrkul as well. or maybe, just by virtue of being a young half-elf woman, she reminds hm just enough of his isobel.

there's also a myrkul-shar divine custody battle going on here. but that's not important babygirl don't worry about it

I've come back to Skyrim recently, and finaly got around to play Vigilant ! And I must admit it's a cool mod, not without flaws (people on ytb definetly oversold it to me), but after playing act 1 and 2, I can say it's pretty solid :)

Only problem...

My dragonborn is a conjurer/necromancer, and...

He's gay af. This mod is very edgy and tragic, but damn am I not playing the right character for it- (but hey at least I'm having fun)

Who does Wesley Nefarious think about his parents?

Short answer: Loves them both to bits, but makes more jokes at his father's expense than his mom's just because Dr. Nefarious is an easier person to laugh at.

Long answer: For most of his life, he thought his parents were the coolest people. One of them is a big scary robot in command of a space station with a cool well-dressed British man as his best friend and business partner, and the other one is a video game streamer and owner of a robotics business. Life is good!

...and then Wesley hit puberty and got kinda gloomier about his situation in life, once he was able to better grasp the things that his father has done and the things that were done TO his parents but especially his mom, who was mistreated by the multiple organizations she previously worked at before starting her own company.

Wesley definitely went through a period of time where he would ask his father really pointed questions of "hey is it true that you tried to destroy everything?" and taking the bold stance of Why Did You Marry An Actual Criminal Mom but then this gradually morphed into a general malaise on the systems that made his parents this way.

So he's an edgy little punk and might make a "my parents are nerds" joke from time to time, but if you make fun of his parents while he's within earshot, it's on sight.
