nothing really happened besides me going on summer break from uni (yatta) and FINALLY PLAYING PKMN VIOLET!!!!!!!!

i have only played bw before this so i feel like my opinion isnt exactly valid but this game was so fucking good..... it was sm fun the characters were so great too.. pukes throws up LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

i have sooo many faves lol.. while i dont think that i could pick a number one arven is sure high up there.. i just love littol boys (im insane)

i hope i can get to draw fanart now that im free.. so far ive only drawn my team and a pre-launch fanart LOL

(never have tried to post smth with pics while using my phone so praying to god that this post looks good)

I’ve sworn off twitter for at least until next month, so perhaps... I will actually ramble here again for once.

I’ve been taking a bit of an art break other than making that BW anniversary pic, and I think it’s been beneficial. Been spending less time online because I realized how much it was stressing me out, and I think that’s gone a long way to help, too. When I’m not doing schoolwork, I’ve been playing video games, which I really haven’t allowed myself to do a -ton- for years now because I got anxious about any time spent not being productive.

Anyways, I might be just a little obsessed with Bloodborne rn after starting to play it for the first time this month, and it’s been real fun immersing myself in a good game again. Stirs up some inspiration and thoughts about working on bringing back my own original stories. I think I’d like to start sprinkling in OC stuff alongside all the fanart I do once more, and fanart-wise I think it’d be really fun to indulge some storytelling in comics form like I had once started to do. There’s really so much that I’d like to share and accomplish that I’ve struggled to get going because of distraction and stress.

I’ll throw a wip under the cut just as a bonus for anyone reading my dumb personal post. Slight cw for some monstery body horror.

There's this guy that recently posted a pic of Ash interviewing N on deviantart (in the Iris tag, so I checked it out). Turns out the 'interview' is mostly N & Ash talking shit about Iris, saying she smells worse than Garbodor, bullied Cilan into tears, and generally being horrible in BW. This guy makes MMD models and I checked out his youtube videos, and he makes many videos where Iris is despicable. You are allowed to dislike characters, but it's been years and he's obsessed with bashing Iris

Oh my God.  That sounds awful.  Also, Ash and N would never.  She also never bullied Cilan, or anyone, for that matter.  These people need to learn how to move on.

Abby's running around practically screaming "they're in the same room together!!! COUPLES GOALS!!!!" and she has the audacity to ask other people how they're not mortified by their behavior? really?

my story.

i feel like this is a good way for other swifties to notice you & maybe Taylor. taylor’s been a huge part of my life since day 1. i was 7 when Tays debut album came out. i wasn’t really into country much at the time but i absolutely fell in love w it. when fearless came out, i remember dancing w my best friend after school in 4th grade. i began to watch people fall in love w the talented girl that she is when love story came out. years 2008-2010 were especially hard for me. my parents got divorced & i felt like i had nothing. my mom, my sister, & i were on our own. the first year that we were on our own, we house hopped bw living w my friend & my moms friend, etc. the ipod was a big deal at this time so i had one & had all of taylor’s songs. by this time, my mom & my dad had really realized how much i loved Taylor Swift. i had every CD, got a new Taylor calendar every year .... but never got to go to a concert. speak now came out- my FAVORITE- & i had never felt more connected to a person. i was 11, so taylor swift was still “cool” but i was the girl who was a little too obsessed. when red got released, i was 13, just about to enter high school. i continued having my taylor themed school supplies on me at all times. i had a journal from her red photo shoot in that meadow or whatever (the pic w her in that pink flowery top? sitting down?). in a world where everyone was listening to wacka flacka & stuff like that- i was “the girl who loved taylor swift”. i didn’t mind that except obviously everyone teased me saying that her music is for 10 year olds & stuff. yknow- her deeply written lyrics. meant for 10 year olds. 🤷‍♀️🙄 anyway, 1989 came out when i was 15 & oh my god i felt like this album took 5EVER to get released. i finally got the news of a lifetime- that my mom BOUGHT TICKETS TO THE TOUR!! my mom, sister, & i listened to the album whenever we got the chance so that my mom could memorize all the songs lol. that was an amazing experience. it felt like it took forever for Reputation to be released too, but it finally did. (i mean it was THREE YEARS). my dad told me that he got me TICKETS!!! i was so excited. i tried to get @taylornation to notice me on twitter by posting my seats & stuff. then, i *attempted entering the military & i WAS IN BASIC TRAINING DURING THE CONCERT. i was devastated. i’ve connected w so many swifties over the years. ive grown w taylor & shes been the reason for who i am today. i’ve been trying to be active & vocal on twitter but apparently she’s more active on here. i’ve been trying really hard to be nice to others as well & make friends but there are a lot of swifties on twitter who are bullies.... so i’m hoping that it’s better here. i’ve attaches some pics from the 1989 tour so y’all can see how little i was at 15 lmao (i’m the blonde one on the right). we went all out lol. we did neon colors for the 80s, cat ears, red lipstick, & my mom has those shirts made for us. obvi y’all know grey & benson lmao.

3. How many classes have you taken?

Well, I don’t know the exact amount :’D I was basically self taught up until I somehow ended up qualifying for art high school (I drew a lot but had no idea what I was doing basically xD), and there the minimum required amount of art classes to take was 12. I think I ended up doing about that since I lived pretty far from the school and the commute was hell :—-D After that… I just kept on drawing privately until I followed a friend to Hyvinkään taidekoulu, a secondary level art school (again, I’m not sure how I qualified xD), which lasted for two years and got me drawing & painting  9-16 Mon-Fri, except that towards the end it was more like 8-22 Mon-Sun xD I drew a comic for my diploma work, and it was a lot more work than I anticipated :’D After that I haven’t taken classes apart from doing the Graphic Storytelling minor subject from Aalto University as a part of my uni studies, which were not artistically inclined. Well, I sometimes have taken live model classes after all that, when I have time. Which is not often xD

7.How often do you use references?

Practically all the time :’D It just amps the quality of the image so much! I think we should all rather do it than not xD I’m not even aiming for ultra realistic style, but I feel my pics get an extra boost if I look at inspiring stuff before and sometimes during the process.

22. Are you confident that you’re improving steadily?

Not really, no, I don’t have enough time to practice.

25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?

Sometimes I listen to podcasts, and sometimes I listen to music, mostly age old FF soundtracks or the like. Or, sometimes, I get obsessed with a song and listen to it on repeat for days, or weeks. /nervous laugh I’m sure everyone does that, right?

36. Do you have a shameful art past? (recolour sprite comics, tracing art, etc.)

 I don’t know what that first one is, but I spent a lot of time tracing Elfquest as a kid x’D I made dozens of spin off wolfrider tribes, there was even this spread of template elves in the Big Elfquest Gatherum, from the RPG I think, which were a huge inspiration :’D I did colour a few bw comics I found somewhere, too, though I don’t find it to be embarrassing, nor the tracing either really, I think most children do that at one point :’—DI wonder what else could be considered shameful? I once bought a superhero comic drawing guide that was pretty shit, but I thought it was hella rad as a 14 year-old. I threw it away many years ago because it was so embarrassing xD How to draw manga -books didn’t yet exist in Finland when I was babby, I’m sure I would’ve bought many of those, too.I, also at one point, was of the opinion that I only knew how to draw girls, since they have waistline and men don’t. What a boot I was :—–D
