MC stays dead for good

Diavolo

He was aware he was most likely sending MC to their death but he still held onto the hope that they will make it out alive. They have been doing so well until that point, managed to get pacts with over half of the brothers, but unfortunately, fate had other plans for them.

He will beat himself over this whole affair for a long time. Not only did the exchange program failed, but he also let down a friend and led them to their own death.

He got so carried away when MC said they want to prove that Belphegor was innocent that he forgot they were only human. They didn't have a grasp on how to use their magic and pacts.

This failure as both a ruler and a friend will always live in the back of his head. That day he failed multiple people and he was the one that had to tell them there is no saving MC in the end. The only thing worse than the memory of MC's corpse being craddled gently by Mammon were the defeated looks of all the brothers.

Belphegor should count himself lucky he is not killed on the spot. All of Diavolo's hard work went down the drain in one night. It would probably take another 2000 years before he could even attempt peace between the three world again. The only reason Belphegor is only locked up and not killed is because of the brothers. He will have to deal with political fallout that MC's death would bring, he can't deal with the chaos the brothers would rise if he were to kill Belphegor.

Barbatos

He knew this would happen yet he still hoped that MC would make it out alive, there are timelines where they do that after all.

In the end, he didn't get his hopes up and he was grateful for that. The sight of their corpse, the looks on the brother's faces, even the disappointed and sadness on Diavolo's face, he was able to keep his calm demeanor through all of that.

He was the one that dealt with all the details that about proceedings after MC's death. Their families would have to be informed but still hide all of the details about the exchange, Belphegor's imprisonment and standing by Diavolo's side as the consequences begind to follow.

He didn't get the opportunity to get close to MC and for that he was glad. It was easier to deal with their death and the fact that they were never coming back.

The only thing that bothered him is when he would see them happy and healthy in other timelines. That's when all the 'what if?' question would pop up in his mind. But in the end those were not his timelines. He knew better than to indulge in worlds that he did not belong to after living with his powers for so long.

Simeon

He only found out days after MC's actual death but he felt something was deeply wrong even before that. Neither the brothers, nor Diavolo and Barbatos would show up to school and he couldn't reach MC.

When he heard that MC died he thought it was at the hands of a lower demon. He didn't know the whole attic ordeal so that was the only logical explanation at the moment.

When he learned the whole truth, he wasn't sure if he would have preferred to live in ignorance or not. It really shaken his perception of the brothers for a bit, after all he knew Belphie since he was an angel. To find out that the angel that loved humans so much turned into a demon that hated humanity was quite the shock to him.

He insisted to remain for MC's funeral. He wasn't there for their last moments, so he wants to be there when their soul is sent off to the Celestial Realm.

He tries hide how much MC's death hurt him from Luke. He is young and just lost someone, so Simeon tries to be there for him before the tries to work through his feelings.

He really saw MC as someone to cherish and even look up, often times referring to how they would make a better angel than him. To him they seemed so untouchable that he forgot how humans with no control of their magic could be.

Luke

All the progress he made about seeing demons in a better light is gone. He even sees them as bigger monsters than before.

Poor kid really looked up to MC as an older sibling figure so to hear that they have died broke him. Since he wasn't alive through the wars, MC's death was probably the first violent death he had ever have to deal with. Maybe MC the first person in his life to even die.

He is aware that Simeon is pushing his feelings aside for him and he hates but doesn't know how to deal with these knew feelings so he just accepts his help.

Will probably bake MC's favorite deserts in their memory...poor kid isn't really sure on how to deal when loved ones die, especially when they are murdered.

Solomon

If MC died at the begging of the exchange program he wouldn't have been surprised, it's Devildom after all. But not only did they not die, they made 5 pacts with the lords of Hell and managed to sneak their way into his life.

He wasn't expecting that he would get so attached to his fellow human exchange but they did. So when things started to change about the brothers he started to expect the worst.

He knew there would come a day when MC would leave him for good and die, all the people in his life did that but he didn't expect for that time to come so soon. Especially in such a cruel manner.

MC was the one that made him see demons as friends, and while not all the progress is gone he will still need to take some time for himself.

He has done it 1000 times over the course of his life span, he dealt with the death of his loved ones more than he would like yet, it's still never easy to get used to their presence being gone. Especially when it's so out of nowhere.

For quite a while he doesn't even dare to try and make a pact with Lucifer. Is it due to MC's memory, knowing that he won't get a pact in those circumstances? He isn't really sure, he just knows he wants to throw himself into his research to distract himself from the wound MC's death left in his heart.

Diavolo

You are discussing the future of the Devildom when the topic comes up

hes telling you about the theatre that’s being made and how he’ll take you there when it’s fully constructed… in 200 years

you tell him you won’t live that long

he forgot you were human, that one day he would lose you

he thinks it’s best not to dwell on the subject so he changes it, but he seems a great deal more upset at the end of the conversation

When you leave to head back to the House of Lamentation, he thinks for ages, wondering how he can combat your human fragility and short lifetime

he never expected to fall for you, and the idea of you being gone fills him with a fear he has never felt before

when you actually are together, he will stay alert around you, but show you affection like no one else ever has

he loves you so much, so he spends as much time as he can with you

he just hopes he can find a way to make you live as long as him before you… before you die

Barbatos

Barbatos tells you about a certain spice that can only be harvested once every thousand years and it’s opening soon

he tells you about the scent- apparently it smells like whatever your favourite food is

soon is 250 years away. When you tell him, he goes silent, smile falling from his face

So he describes what he smells when it opens and unconsciously grips at your hand

The concept that you are now, but a hundred years wouldn’t be enough

when you go, he is not sure if he can grip his sanity any longer

Simeon

Simeon knows you will not go anywhere after you die, you will be stuck. After all the celestial realm doesn’t accept those with demonic pacts. But he doubts you’ll be the Devildom or the rest of hell

he brings it up to you, asking about if you’re scared

you say you are, but are content if you live a good life

he embraces you tight, so it feels like he can’t let you go

He’s scared for you too, and is not afraid to voice it

Solomon

He is old. He probably knows how to give you immortality.

but you say you don’t want

he is sad, because when you go, he’ll be alone for the rest of the vast life he has. He doesn’t want that

he wants to wake up beside you (and asmo maybe)

Having you go through his life so quickly hurts

so he will hold you while he can. He will extent your lifetime but not to a hugely noticeable point

Luke (platonic)

Luke doesn’t realise how short your life is originally

then he finds out that one year of him physically is 100 years for you

so you won’t see him beyond 12, even might not see him become 12

he cries and asks why you have to leave

you and Simeon have to comfort him for a while

he will never think about it, except at nights where he lies awake

He hopes you make it to the celestial realm, and won’t accept you not being there as an option

he is sad. He doesn’t want to lose his best friend, and somewhat older sibling

When he finally looks up, lifts his eyes to your confused face, he knows he's going to do something completely irresponsible.

But now's not the time. Now he should be there for you.

He gets up to prepare a potion. What kind he doesn't know - one to help forget? One to cleanse your soul? One to make you feel cosy and protected?

He starts a batch of each, fidgeting around without being able to think clearly

You literally have to tell him to stop, so that he notices that he forgot to actually react and comfort you

The firmest hug you have ever received ensues.

"I want to help. What can I do, MC? What can I do to make it better?"

Simeon

The angel has always struggled with the dichotomy of his nature and the violent thoughts that sometimes find their way into his head

By now, he's able to switch them off at will. They'll haunt him at a later point in time, but for now, your needs are all he sees

He'll take your face into his hands and wipe away the tears with a simple swipe of his thumb

He'll stare into your eyes until you can physically feel the love he holds for you

There's only you and him and comfort

It'll take years before he can stop randomly baking for you, randomly hugging you, obsessively telling you how lovable you are, just to show you how much you mean

"You're everything to me, so you deserve the world. Forget those who treated you badly. I will erase them from your mind."

The Prince might be a big himbo but he isn't stupid.

As the ruler of demons, he knows exactly what people are capable of. And yet, everytime he hears about the cruelty in the world, he just can't comprehend: how? Why?

It pains him so much that you, too, had to experience something like this.

For a second, he considers asking Barbatos to undo it. Make your past go away. Of course, he immediately realises that that's not what his butler can do at all. He does not erase the past. He can only switch timeliness.

So...what then? How does he make it go away?

He never stops wondering. But he does settle for protecting you as well as he possibly can. For being there for you when you need him. For doing better than the person that made you feel this way.

"I can't undo what happened. But I will make sure you will never know pain like that again. Please rely on me."

Barbatos

You can see how hard he has to swallow. How his fist cramps.

You can see the exact moment he decides that he will start checking on every second of your future. Of your safety.

Of course, you don't know that that's what you're seeing. You only know that a creepy kind of determination spreads across his face.

You have earned yourself a bodyguard. He is definitely overdoing it.

It's hard to convince him he's doing more damage than he's helping. But eventually, he understands.

That will not stop him from asking Solomon for protection amulets. From preparing you cursed desserts that make you feel warm and safe and tingly on the inside.

Also, did he start touching you more? Not inappropriately. Just his fingers grazing yours. His arm around you when you're standing next to each other.

Obey Me: Paw-Some Love (Diavolo X MC Soft Head Cannon)

Here’s a delightful little piece of fluff for our favorite HIMBO/puppy dog Diavolo. This story is based on how Diavolo and MC (gender neutral) get together with the help of an actual puppy dog.

Diavolo is attracted to MC for their adaptability, humanity, and ability to connect to others. He realizes that attraction is beyond mere curiosity and friendship one day at the RAD Student Council when he, MC, and the brothers are talking after a meeting.

MC: I love being here at the Devildom and telling stories about the human world. But there’s one thing I really miss. *Sighs sadly* I really miss having a pet—something to come home to and take care of.

Belphie: That’s why we have Mammon, right? *Brothers minus Beel and Mammon laugh*

Mammon: Hey there, why you little—

Satan: You could come with me to the cat cafes more. They really appreciate it when I read to them.

Beel: I think they like the food you give them.

Satan: *Looks offended* They appreciate fine literature. Well, MC?

Diavolo: *Stomach drops at the thought of MC spending more time with Satan*

MC: I appreciate it, buuuuuuut…I’m more of a dog person actually. Grew up with them. This is the first time I haven’t had a dog to cuddle with or take care of.

Asmo: YES! Purse dogs! You can dress them up in so many costumes, carry them with you everywhere—

MC: Dressing up dogs IS great, but I prefer big dogs.

Lucifer: Oh? Like Cerberus? *Looks at MC and nods thoughtfully* You know, I could let you attend the training sessions I have with Cerberus. That way, the two of you can become better acquainted.

Diavolo: Lucifer, do you think that wise if he’s a guard dog?

Diavolo: *Wait, why do I not want even Lucifer spending more alone time with MC? Why would that—*

Diavolo: *OH NO.* *Heart lurches when he looks at MC*

Lucifer: You are correct Diavolo. Sorry MC.

MC: That’s OK! I actually prefer big happy dogs I can cuddle with. And that’s not Cerberus. Oh well. *sighs sadly*

A few days after that conversation, a package arrives at the House of Lamentation to MC’s room. They open it and find a 7 foot tall tan dog plushie with gigantic floppy ears, mildly resembling a golden retriever. Also in the package are four outfits for the plushie—one outfit that looks like an everyday outfit worn by the MC, and three outfits (RAD uniform, clothes worn in human world, and demon-inspired clothes) worn by Diavolo. Inside, there’s a note—Hope you find a piece of home and companionship with me. Diavolo.

MC takes tons of pictures of them and the dog and sends them to Diavolo on a regular basis. They start regularly texting and calling.

MC regularly dresses the dog plushie in one of the three Diavolo outfits. Ultimately, MC favors the Diavolo demon outfit—it just…feels right.

Soon, MC begins sleeping with the plushie in their bed. Again, it just…feels right. Sends multiple pictures to Diavolo of them with the plushie in bed.

Diavolo: *Looking at latest picture of MC with plushie. OMG How am I jealous of a damn stuffed animal?*

However, eventually, the demon outfit on the plushie needs to be washed. MC cannot bring themselves to do it.

Mammon: Come on MC! That stupid dog outfit is stinking’ up the place! All you gotta do is wash it!

MC: I CANT MAMMON. THEN IT WONT SMELL LIKE DIA—*OH NO* *Realizes they love Diavolo and starts crying*

Mammon: OK, OK, geez, don’t wash it then! Maybe pick another outfit—

MC: I CANT JUST REPLACE DIA MAMMOOOOOOON *Cries harder*

Mammon: OK, OK, never mind then…

Next day, Diavolo messages MC inviting them to the Castle. He welcomes them with a big hug.

Diavolo: MC! *Keeps hug for like 15 seconds longer than customary*

MC: *Oh God, you smell just like the plushie but so much better. SIGH*

Diavolo: SOOOOOO…could you come to my balcony for a moment? I have a project I’d like your help with.

Diavolo leads MC to the castle’s upper balcony. He then begins…

Diavolo: Everyone is so wary of me. They keep their distance from me—except Lucifer, Barbatos, and you. I want…

MC: You want…

Diavolo: I want to be seen as approachable. So people wouldn’t always be walking on eggshells around me. You’ve inspired me to this current project. But I need your help. He’s a little big…

MC: He?

Diavolo whistles, and bounding towards the pair is a giant adult Mastiff dog, nearly 200 pounds. The dog jumps on its hind legs and puts its front paws on Diavolo’s chest. The dog begins licking Diavolo’s face.

MC: *Looks at dog slobbering kisses on Diavolo. OMG I’m jealous of a dog* *Also…*

MC: OMG YOU GOT A DOG?! Come here boy! *The dog runs to MC, knocking them on the ground. Dog begins hovering over MC, licking their face repeatedly.*

MC: WHO’S A GOOD BOY? YOU ARE! YOU ARE!

Diavolo: *I’m a good boy too you know…*

Diavolo: His name is Ryan. I could use some expert advice on how to make sure he’s well taken care of here at the Castle. I’m hoping everyone—demons, people, angels—might be willing to talk to me more if they see Ryan.

MC spends the next few hours at the Castle giving advice on the exercise, dieting, sleeping, grooming, and social needs to ensure Ryan has the best life in the Devildom. MC offers to be one of Ryan’s primary dog walkers (They’ll be at the Castle Regularly then thinks Diavolo with a smile). They walk around the Castle, MC pointing out plants and various objects that might be dangerous to Ryan and areas that will need to be dog proofed. Diavolo casually goes to his wine cellar and brings out two wine glasses and a bottle while MC plays with Ryan on the upper balcony. When Diavolo returns to the balcony, he sees MC sitting in a chair while Ryan lays by their feet, asleep.

Diavolo: You two seem to have bonded already. *He smiles at MC, hands them a wine glass and sits in the other chair*

MC: It was pretty easy to do so. He’s like you. Loyal, good natured, sweet, dignified, protective. It would be difficult to not love someone like that. *Looks at Diavolo, a blush on their face*

Diavolo: Love? Do you mean—*Reaches out to hold MC’s hand*

MC: I love both of you, yes. But you especially Dia. *Twines fingers with Dia’s*

Diavolo: I love you too MC. *Leans in to kiss MC sweetly. He laughs quietly* With you here, with Ryan and I, the Castle feels like home.

Diavolo: Um, I know this may seem sudden, but would you like to spend the night? With us?

MC: I’d love to. *Hand in hand, Diavolo calls Ryan to follow them to his bedroom*

Diavolo: A warning MC. *Kisses MC on forehead* Ryan and I may hog the blankets more than your plushie.

He was genuinely shocked and confused the first time MC offered for him to go out with them and the Squad TM

The first time was like the classic “sneak the prince out” trying so hard not to let Barbatos or Lucifer find out

They would eventually find out, but through a lot of convincing and mc charm Diavolo is now allowed to go actually enjoy himself

I like the idea of dating Diavolo while still living at the HOL and it's getting late so Lucifer tries to send the deeply in love demon home and he doesn't want to but finally gives in when Lucifer gives him the look. How would they spend their Valentine's Day in the human world

This is part of two of this post, but this time with the dateables. Ignore that Valentine's day has already passed ^-^

Dateable x gn!MC (without Luke)

Diavolo

He was beyond excited about spending Valentine's day with MC. Even more so in the human world. This way they can get away from prying eyes in Devildom.

Makes reservation to some of the best high end restaurants in the human world. He takes the oportunity to try various foods from the human world, especially the ones that MC seems to like.

This is the guy that bought a plot of land for Lucifer just for fun. He will spoil the hell out of MC. I am talking about the finest of jewelry/clothes/items related to their hobbies. He does not hold back.

After dinner he takes MC to explore the city. If it's a city they are familiar with he will beg ask them to show him around. If they are in an unfamiliar place he will insist they go sight seeing together.

He will get some weird looks from people. While in the human world no one knows him as the future king of Devildom, he is still the owner of one of the most successful hotel chains. Also he is dressed extremely fancy but that's beside the point.

He got no sense of danger when it comes to human world. It's canon that he does not understand the concept of stranger danger. He will get scammed if MC is not careful not that his wallet would feel it..

Barbatos

It's Diavolo that convinces him to go celebrate it in the human world. That way he would be far away from his duties as a butler.

Since he is in the human world he wants to try and bake different pastries. He will especially try to make ones that he thinks MC might like.

Would love it even more if they joined him in both shopping for ingredients and baking. It would be like a cute cooking date before actually going out.

Once they are done with baking Barbatos will take them out to have a picnic somewhere with a nice view and away from people. With his powers that could be anywhere. Literally-

MC will have to stop him from trying to serve them different foods and actually relax and not act like a butler. Nothing that a bottle of demonus can't solve MC gotta thank Diavolo for giving them some of his expensive demonus

In theory, once their date is gone they could easily go back to Devildom using Barbatos's powers but he decides to spend the night in the human world. Once he will be back to Devildom he will get busy again, so he wants to enjoy MC's company as much as he can while they are still alone with him.

Depending on MC they could also go to a metal concert while in the human world. He likes that kind of music.

Simeon

It doesn't matter if the two of them will go eat somewhere, he still prepared some home made snacks for the two of them. Luke even helped him!

For the first part of theit date he would love to take it slow and enjoy the human. They might go together to a library and choose a book for each other and then start reading while they eat the food he made in some park.

Once he makes sure that MC is well fed and energized he takes them to an escape room! He loves those

It would be like they have their own adventures, just like the characters in one of his books.

It would probably try to take his sweet time escaping just so he could make the date last as long as possible. He thinks he is being really smart about it...but he forgets about the employees looking through the security cameras. More like he didn't even knew about them.

Even MC noticed the he would try to slow down their escape just so they could spend time together. He could blame it on him not being good with technology so many times after all..

He got no choice but to speed up the whole thing once he got told he can't delay escaping any longer.

This happens after both of them get back to Devildom, but Simeon wants to share all the photos he took on their date...only to realize that 90% of the photos are so bad that he has to delete them...

Solomon

Date at an interactive museum. He loves to experiment and learn new things so he would take MC to one of those museums where you can interact with all sorts of things.

The two of them just spend a lot of time fooling around in there before they leave to go somewhere else. Since they are in the human world he would like to keep it 'normal' but he can't resist the temptation of taking them to various magical places.

I am talking about going to see fucking fairies and magical museums that are hidden in plain sight. Anything that MC might think were only fairy tales or urban legends, he will prove them other wise.

The date quickly turns into 'showing MC all the magical stuff they didn't think it was real. On one hand he doing it that to make them happy since he likes the look on their face when they discover something new, but for the most part he is just showing off.

He even takes them flying in a place where he knows humans wouldn't see them or the levi couldn't follow them using a drone.

The night would have ended like some fairy tale if it wasn't for Solomon insisting that he cooks something for them to end things on a good note.
