The more Gilbert listened, the more entranced he became, to the point where he unconsciously took a step closer to her. This fatal move ultimately sealed his fate.
Artist: Catherine Sting (twi: U4Lo6)
*Do not repost!
*Set in 1830s
*The whole story behind this picture is shamelessly copied inspired by the plots of Balzac’s Les Secrets de la princesse de Cadignan (The Secrets of the Princesse de Cadignan)
Actually I tried to translate the whole passage I wrote for this picture but failed, unfortunately. I simply couldn’t do it.
*Used references when drawing

"...As shines the moon in clouded skies,   She in her poor attire was seen; One praised her ankles, one her eyes,   One her dark hair and lovesome mien. So sweet a face, such angel grace,   In all that land had never been. Cophetua sware a royal oath: 'This beggar maid shall be my queen!' "
--------------------------------------------------------------------------Inspired by "The Beggar Maid" poem by Lord Alfred Tennyson. However, I decided to replace the role king Cophetua and his fair beggar maid with a knight and a street musician.
If you are wondering, Gilbert's uniform indicated he belonged to the Johanniter Order, the German Protestant branch of the Knights Hospitaller. From 1811-1812, The Order was being transferred and put under the authority of the Prussian crown. Today, The Order is still operated with their current Herrenmeister - Prince Oscar of Prussia as the leader.
Meanwhile, the Austrian lady is always a beauty even when she is not in those fancy dresses.

Trivia: Hungary is the first Hetalia design (her current design was recycled from another series Hima did) and Nyo!Hungary is the first male Nyo counterpart (Hungary was going to be a guy, the first design was used as inspiration for Lithuania's design while the design itself was recycled for her Nyo).

"Meine Süsse, weine nicht."
"In the middle of The Great War, Major Gilbert Beilschmidt fell in love with Annaliese Von Edelstein- an Austro-Hungarian Red Cross nurse who took care of him during his convalescence. A woman whose soft, beautiful lilac eyes were easily showing sympathy to the soldiers on both sides of the battlefield.
...And that was how their doomed fate started. For her, to be kind in the wrong time. For Major Beilschmidt, to let his emotions beaten his reason. But never shall the Major regret his fatal decision when he protected Miss Edelstein, because to still maintain humanity, love and be loved in the most horrid time would be and always a blessing."

Commission for one of my OTP made by Denos, a truly lovely person. (because OP cannot freaking draw even in stick figure)
You can check Artist's other works via:
Twiiter: @denossu
Ins: denos.baa
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
OP's note:
Meine Süsse, weine nicht: My sweet, don't cry.
I truly like the name Annaliese for FemAustria (NyoAustria). But I think I will call her Anna for short if I post about her again.
Feel kinda bad when I have to bully Fem Austria in my story because she is my muse (such a beauty, especially when she cries. Maybe that's why I love being mean to her. I'm sorry my princess!).
For me, Prussia x Fem Austria always have an element of poetic tragedy which I craved for. So in my universe, they only got their happiness in modern setting where they don't have to worry about complicated politics and wars (this apply for both nation ver or human au).
But Gilbert deserves all my meanness and I'm not feel remorse a bit. LoL.

It makes no sense for some people to piss off for Wy being the only Micronation having a offical nyo design
Tumblr media
First of all, it is not Hima special treatment to a micronation and unfair to the other micronations. It's because she is a GIRL. Yes! A HETALIA GIRL. What did Hima even do for the girls compare to his male OCs? NOTHING. They appeared more, got a lot of cool plots and outfit more. They have their nyo design. But then Hima decided he needed to have nyo version of the girls he barely noticed. And bam! Some people couldn't get the fact that Hima was trying to give the girls spotlight for once but keep focusing on the fact that Wy is the only micronation got a special treatment. When in fact, Hima was just try introducing male nyo when the female nyo of the male nations already have their own appreances anime and A LOT OF more offical drawing from Hima.
By the way, Hima has a lot of male characters he can choose/work from so the micronations are usually not the first choice. On other hands, the number of the girls are just barely two digit number so why not draw them all? Plus, the nyo universe already has a lot of girl and Hima thought it was time to draw some male! That's all!
Tumblr media
(By the way, it is not Thailand, it is nyo! Macau)
