നിത്യഹരിതമായ വിളക്കി ചേർക്കലുകൾ ********************************************* കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ ഓർമ്മക്കളെപ്പിടിച്ചു നിർത്തുന്നചില കുട്ടുകെട്ടുകളുണ്ട് അതിന് ഏത് കാലത്തും ഒരു ഹരിതാഭയാണ്. അങ്ങനെയൊരു ഗൃഹാതുരത തോന്നുന്നൊരു കുട്ടുകെട്ടാണ്. ജവഹർ തായങ്കരി- യുബിസി കൈനകരിയും. ഇവർ തമ്മിൽ കൈ കൊടുക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒർമ്മയിൽ ഓടിവരുന്നതും. അങ്ങനെയൊരു അനുഭൂതിയാണ് പല കാലത്തു പല കുട്ടുകെട്ടുകളിലൂടെ ചരിത്രം രചിച്ചവർ. അവരോന്നിച്ച് വരുമ്പോൾ അതൊരഴക്കാണ്. വിജയ ചരിത്രങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിബിംബങ്ങളിൽ നോക്കി മറ്റൊരു ചരിത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു മുന്നേറാൻ രാജപ്രമുഖൻ ട്രോഫിയിൽ അവർ ഒന്നിക്കുമ്പോൾ ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഓർത്തു പോകുന്നു. ചില പടയോട്ടങ്ങളെ തടഞ്ഞു നിർത്തിയ കഥ. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 2008-2009 സീസണുകളിൽ ആര് പിടിച്ചു നിർത്തുമെന്ന് സംശയിച്ചു നിന്ന നേരത്തു ജീസസ് ബോട്ട് ക്ലബ്‌ ന്റെ ഹാട്രിക് മോഹത്തിന് കടിഞ്ഞണിട്ട.ആ കളിവള്ളം മാറ്റാരുമല്ലായിരുന്നു തായങ്കരികാരുടെ സ്വന്തമായ ആ വെള്ളി കൂമ്പനായിരുന്നു. ആരും പ്രതീക്ഷ നൽകാത്തിടത്തു അപ്രതീക്ഷിത ഞെട്ടലുകൾ നൽകുന്നതിൽ പലപ്പോഴും നിത്യഹരിത നായകന് ഒരു പ്രത്യേകഹരമായിരുന്നു. ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ മറ്റൊരു കൂട്ടരും ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു പടയോട്ടങ്ങൾ ഏറെ നടത്തിയതും ചില പടയോട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് അറുതി വരുത്തിയതുമായ അവരുടെ ചരിത്രം സുപരിചിതമാണ് ജലോൽസവപ്രമികൾക്ക്. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവരെ ജലോൽസവ പ്രമികളുടെ മനസ്സാകുന്ന വീരകല്ലിൽ ഇപ്രകാരം കൊത്തിയിട്ടു " യുണറ്റഡ് ബോട്ട് ക്ലബ്‌ കൈനകരി". ആരാധകാർ അവരെ യുബിസിയെന്ന് വിളിച്ചു. കാലങ്ങൾ പലതും കടന്ന് പോയി പലരും വന്നു പോയി.. പക്ഷെ അവരങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ പേരിനെ അന്വർത്ഥമാക്കി ഇന്നും ഇവിടെയൊക്കെ തന്നെ ഉണ്ട്. വരുന്നൊരു വള്ളംകളി കാലത്തിന്റെ തയ്യാറെടുപ്പുകളുമായി. 2012, 2013 സീസണിൽ ശ്രീ ഗണേശന്റെ ഹാട്രിക്ക് മോഹത്തിന് ചമ്പക്കുളത്തിലെറി വന്ന് തടയിട്ടതും,2019 ൽ നടുഭാഗത്തിലെറിവന്ന PBC യുടെ വെള്ളപ്പച്ചലിനെ ഒരു വെട്ടമെങ്കിലും തടഞ്ഞു നിർത്താൻ കെല്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നതും യുബിസിക്കായിരുന്നു എന്നത് കാലം നമ്മെ ബോധ്യപെടുത്തി. അങ്ങനെ പടവെട്ടിപിടിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു പേര് ഒരുമിച്ച് അതൊരു കോംമ്പോയായ് വരുമ്പോൾ അവരെ കാത്തു ഒരു ജനസഞ്ചായം ചമ്പക്കുളമാറിന്റ ഇരുകരകളിലും തടിച്ചു കൂടുമെന്നുറപ്പു. അങ്ങനെ രണ്ട് ചരിത്രങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു സംഗമമാണ് രാജപ്രമുഖൻ ട്രാഫിയിലൂടെ നമ്മുടെ മുന്നിലെത്താനിരിക്കുന്നത്. NTBR but all your ocs look different?

Yes they do. The creators haven't given a clear answer for which elvish/human traits half-elves would have, so I'd like to think it's a roll of the dice...and that's what I did. I rolled a 20 sided die and gave graded them on a scale from 1 (elf) to 20 (human)

Aviv I did first. Aviv got a 3. So basically an elf with five fingers and an unusual pigment in his horns. (the pigment in the horns was an artist error, but I liked the idea that there would be unexpected and unexplained traits pop up and didn't ask for a revision).

Jaiyana got a 14. So she looks more human than elf. So she gets round ears, five fingers, smaller horns (another happy accident), and the unusual horn pigment.

Aditya got a whopping 19. Honestly, I didn't know how to do him. Do I give him eight fingers, or pointed ears? Either option sounded like it would be worth more than a point (I admittedly didn't think this through). Eventually I decided he'd be human passing but have a hc Sunfire trait of having warmer skin than a human.

Aashi got a 11. So I'm glad that the horns were the usual length and color. She leans more towards human with round ears and five fingers.

I probably could have used a better system to assign traits, and was saved by happy accidents (because how in the world would I show a difference in between a 14 and 11 when the only visible differences between sunfire elves and humans are horns, ears and fingers), but I'm still happy with the results. Though there's been a prompt or two were I would have mentioned the unique horns had I commissioned them earlier and I'm kicking myself for dragging my feet on placing an order.
